Magic Price by C.L. Schneider is the first book in The Crown of Stones trilogy. It follows Ian Troy, a Shinree solider known for ending a decades-long war with the Crown of Stones. His skills in magic and battle are both feared and needed. This lone wolf suddenly finds himself back in the middle of battle 10 years later with returning and new enemies. This book is filled with creative world-building and characters that have depth. If you’re a fan of slightly darker fantasy then this is a book for you.
