This is the first book of the series. I highly recommend it. I couldn’t put it down. Ian is a magical and sword fighting man. He has women constantly trying to be with him. He was in the war 10 years ago that he trying to forget. But someone returns and makes him relive some of the moments he has been trying to forget. I cannot wait until book two.

This is an amazing story about someone who doesn’t quite fit in anywhere. I feel like Wylie Kang sometimes. It’s really amazing how Aaron takes a character like Wylie and makes others realize that there is more that goes on around you that you aren’t really seeing. I can totally relate to Wylie when it comes to not knowing about other supernaturals and how they can only be seen by other supernaturals. I feel like I can only see certain things and no one else can. I am sure that if you read this book, you too will feel a connection to at least one of the characters. Wylie the Yeti and a few of his supernatural friends have me all up in my feelings.

4 Stars The Vassal of Magic is the third book in CB’s captivating The Virus of Beauty series. Make sure to start at the beginning of this series with The Virus of Beauty and The Veil of Corruption as each book follows on from the other. This well plotted and highly imaginative tale is original and unique. It is fast paced Young Adult fantasy tale has magic, witches and wizards. The Vassal of Magic is set in beautiful magical realms and is action-packed, rife with danger, palpable tension, with lots of mystery and suspense. CB’s world building is cleverly woven together with a well-developed quirky cast characters to draw readers in. Can Wilf tap into his full potential to combat the evil that threatens the realm and to save the girl of his dreams? The pages keep turning as we travel along with Wilf and the many twists and turns that he has to face. If you love YA fantasy fun adventure tales you will like this book. This is the final book of ‘The Crown of Stones’ trilogy and boy was it a wild ride. Ian Troy did a lot of growing up during this time. He went from being a hated anti hero to a liked hero. Being a Shinree is an automatic ticket to being hated by most but does this stop Ian? No.
Ian is still in hiding while trying to find his daughter and confront his father. He is also still trying to save himself from the inevitable doing of the crown. With the help of a weirdly diverse group, Ian travels in more ways than one.
I loved the previous two books of the series and I did enjoy this one but I must admit, it was my least favorite of the three. The first two books gave me Witcher vibes while this one is too different. I found it hard to follow along during some scenes of time travel. That’s the only downside in my opinion.
The book is set almost directly after the previous and jumps right in. If you did not read the first two books, you will be lost. The trilogy is amazing. The author wrote Ian with such depth and intensity that I have no idea how he managed to endure everything he went through. I am sad to see it end. I was introduced to this author’s books a couple years ago and I am so happy to go through this journey from start to finish. You can tell the author puts their heart and soul into the writing making the characters become more real. I can’t wait to see what the next thing the author has up their sleeve is!

The amazing ending to a magical journey. Oh, I have enjoyed traveling with Wilf on this trip as he learned about his magic and the adventures he was on to save his family and the magical world. This story was full of adventure, drama, a little of everything you could ask for. It all fit together and came together so nicely to bring a close to this trilogy. The characters have been just that. The author has give them such personalities that some of them, like Ermentrude, felt like they might be your cranky neighbor. All Wilf ever wanted to do was the right thing. This has been an amazing series. I do recommend reading from the first book, it will make more sense.

The Crown Of Stones series has kept me on the edge of my seat for three books straight! This final installment did not disappoint at all! This book and series is written with such passion and grace! The world and the characters just jump off the page and you cannot help but feel for their lows and root for their highs! As a lover of Lord Of The Rings and The Witcher, this series was completely satisfying from the first page of the first book (The Crown Of Stones: Magic-Price) to the last page of the last book (The Crown Of Stones: Magic- Borne). I will truly miss reading about Ian Troy, Jarryd Kane, and Malaq and their adventures. I really hope Schneider will continue this series so this epic journey doesn’t have to end! I highly highly recommend The Crown of Stones series to anyone looking to take an epic journey of their own!

Schneider does an incredible job at showing the beauty and the ugliness in the world like both sides of a coin. She writes such an expertly detailed and genuine world that you’d think it was completely real! This book made me feel things! Troy’s suffering and anguish is vivid and emotional; it can be felt right down to the soul. His journey of rediscovering what happened is powerful! This series just keeps getting better and better! It truly is a must read for any epic fantasy lover! With twists and turns that will keep you flipping the pages and fast paced action that will have you on the edge of your seat! At first this book seemed a little intimidating and hard to follow but after just a few pages I fell right into Ian Troy’s legendary journey. It was completely addicting, each chapter compelling me to see what happens next! Wow! I absolutely loved it! C.L. Schneider creates a truly epic fantasy with breathtaking action and detail that makes you feel right in the moment! The imagery created with her phrases like “ outlined by the backdrop of chaos” really just stuck with me and all with a magic system that is artfully done! This book is truly a must read for fantasy lovers with non-stop edge of your seat moments! I know I cannot wait to read her next book in this series, Magic-Scars!

Ian Troy has taken the power of the crown into himself to keep his father from using it against the realm. As he continues to figure out the cost of that decision, he is faced with a dire vision of a future he’s not sure he can change. However, to save those he loves, he will do what it takes to see peace. Or will he? Inevitably he and his friends face death and destruction in the final showdown with his father. Will the cost be too great for Ian? Or will peace finally reign?
This was the final book in this series of Ian Troy and The Crown of Stones. It was a good closing to an epic ride, but also left it open for the next series to spin off. Ian’s sacrificial love for those who are part of his inner circle, is that of deep familial love. He drew people from different backgrounds together and built a chosen family that fought and sacrificed for each other. There were times that he was surprised that others would take up for him, even though he would -without question- stand for them. I think a lot of people think the same way. We would sacrifice for the ones we love but are surprised when they choose to do the same for us.
I enjoyed this series. I was a little sad that it was the ending, but then happily surprised to find out that there is a spin off in the works!

Yeti Left Home was slow to start for me. I wasn’t quite sure what the story was going to be about. But once you get far enough in, you understand and keep reading. Wylie just wants to be left alone. He is a yeti but no one really knows. Why is this woman looking for him? Is she a hunter? I enjoyed the book as I got further into it.

This book was not a normal book I would choose to read. I did not think I’d enjoy it like I did. I have a genre of book I stick with but I jumped out of my comfort zone and fell in love with Winnifred Tataw’s writing. I went and got the first three books so I could better understand The Lone Star Child. I recommend reading them in order. Great series full of wonder and adventure.

This is the third and final book in this series and this story is about Ian Troy. I enjoyed Ian Troy’s story and watching him grow as a character. I am very glad that I read the first books in this series before starting this one because this one isn’t a standalone and i would have been very lost. An awesome way to continue the series. The author did an amazing job with the characters, settings, and plot of the book. I was mesmerized once again. I am a fan of the author’s writing style. It grips you from the first page. I highly recommend this book.

The Traveler: Book 3 is the third book in The Traveler series. I’d highly recommend reading the books in order to get to know Harry and Tristan from the start of their relationship, and hear more of Harry’s backstory.
This is an enjoyable and original speculative fiction series. Harry is a unique creature who has been around, in some form or another, for a very long time and observed much of human history. He is intelligent and powerful but also vulnerable and must occasionally undergo a long period of stasis which leaves him with a new form.
In book 3, Harry is just emerging from stasis so we see him adapting to the changes he has undergone, and Tristan and Elena adapting to having Harry back in their lives again. And, of course, it’s not long before there’s new trouble and danger they need to get themselves out of…
This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of comedy sci-fi/fantasy with familiar domestic settings. The whole series is an entertaining and thought-provoking read!

I enjoyed the LGBTQ inclusion as I don’t often come across fantasy books with gender fluid characters.
My only minor criticism would be that it wasn’t always clear whether the use of ‘they’ meant Amy, or other characters. However, this wasn’t a major issue as the meaning could be understood through context.
The story is paced well and the characters well-written. There were even a couple of surprises (for me at least) along the way which kept it interesting as it wasn’t entirely predictable.
The storyline had me hooked and I got emotionally invested in Amy’s situation. I look forward to the next book and the adventures that follow.

I have read all the books to this series and not one has disappointed me yet. It is a little heart wrenching that this will be the last book of the trilogy but im so glad that I read them. this book was very well written that once again I felt like I was right there in the story, from loving the characters to hating them all in one. This book was filled with magic and fantasy, lots of action. This book like the others kept me turning pages and I couldn’t get enough, the twists and turns had me guessing the whole time and really devouring this story. Im a little sad that the story ended but so glad some ends are toed up, there were a few things in the story I wish that there was more details on it, but for the way this book if written it made up for it. if you decide to read this book, I would suggest stating at the beginning.

Amy’s Rebellion is book one in the Gemstone Massacre series by Julia Goldhirsh. It is a dark urban fantasy, with an enemies-to-lovers romance, magic, danger, drama, assassins, shifters, the paranormal, action, adventure, violence, elementals, LGBTQ+/gender fluid characters, agendas, sinister intentions, friendship, corruption, gemstones, myth/legends, armies, rebellion, good vs evil, originality, and intriguing world-building. This is the first book that I have read by Julia Goldhirsh, so I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from her storytelling. But I love anything fantasy, plus the cover and blurb quirked my interest, so I took a chance and plunged in for the adventure. I really wish I had realised that there was a prequel to this before embarking on the adventure, as I think that would have given me a better understanding and appreciation of this book- so I will definitely be going back to read the prequel before continuing on with more of the series.
