C. L. Schneider delivers again with Magic Scars, the second book in The Crown of Stones Series! The same memorable, imaginative, wonderfully flawed characters are present in this book. If possible, this book had me more emotionally invested, but also more exhausted. The intensity of the feelings in this book are stronger, the need to triumph more urgent. The vividly detailed world-building is built upon in this second book, and expanded upon. I found myself picturing the countryside, the mountains, the battles. This is such a great book and I cannot wait for the next one!

C. L. Schneider delivers with this dark fantasy! What an amazing beginning to a series. Magic Price, the first installment in The Crown of Stones Series, is full of vivid detail, gloriously flawed characters, and such an imaginative, contradictory (to popular lore) take on magical beings. This complex, well-written story introduces the reader to Ian Troy, a Shinree witch, and his traveling companions. Twists and turns abound, but the story isn’t difficult to follow. There is so much information about each of the warring nations, Magic Price almost reads like a history book rather than a fantasy novel. Of the previous books I’ve read by C. L. Schneider, Magic Price tops the list! I cannot wait to read the next book.

The Vassal of Magic is the third instalment in The Virus of Beauty series by C.B. Lyall. It continues the adventure we began back in book one, so I highly recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one, as knowing what has happened in the previous books will definitely enrich your reading experience of this book, and the series as a whole. This fabulous YA urban fantasy series has such a unique, original, and intriguing storyline and wonderful, quirky characters who really make this story come to life. I can see it making a great TV series too, as there is plenty here to love. Woven with lots of action, adventure, magic, witches, wizards, drama, danger, mystery, suspense, tension, friendship, family, politics, and agendas- this story really grabs the imagination. We follow on from the previous two books and Wilf is still grappling with his feelings towards magic. He really just wants to be ‘normal’ and free- but he can’t even manage to utilize the full potential of his magical powers, so he’s feeling stuck. Then there’s the overwhelming sense of responsibility that’s really weighing heavily in his shoulders. Doubts and fear are definitely holding him back. What happens when he discovers a piece of shattered Mages Crystal- you really should read all the intriguing developments for yourself, because Wilf is about to be challenged like never before and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Adventure awaits….. Again, Ms. Lyall’s wonderful world-building and attention to detail created a fully immersive reading experience that held me rapt right from the get-go. I have enjoyed this series immensely, and without giving away any spoilers, with the way this ended it made me hope that there might be many more magical adventures for Wilf (& Co) to come… If you love a richly woven YA fantasy with superb world-building, engrossing storylines, plenty of originality, action, adventure, emotion, and wonderful quirky characters- then this is definitely the book/series for you. OMG!! I thought the first two books had me hooked but damn this one REALLY kept me turning page after page and ignoring everything else around me! Sorry family LOL. I had to see how it would all turn out. I really went on a far more emotional rollercoaster then I would have initially expected from a Fantasy series. This author truly is AMAZING, creating characters, storylines and worlds that weave into your heart in totally unexpected ways. This should not be read as a standalone. You MUST start from the beginning of the series to fully enjoy this captivating, action packed world. You wont be disappointed in any way! Ian you will always hold a small piece of my heart.

I was so excited to get to finish this amazing series! The journey that Wilf has traveled, mostly against his will, is thrilling and will keep you turning until the final page. The author did a great job of creating realistic characters and relationships within a fantasy novel about magic. This is definitely a series you want to start at the beginning with, and you definitely won’t be disappointed when you get to this conclusion. This is an action packed adventure series full of magic, love, friendships, and family. Seeing Wilf grow into the strong person he becomes, as well as the rest of the characters as they learn to work together to save magic. I absolutely adored this series and I highly recommend it.

I said it with the first Book and I will say it again I was completely hooked from start to finish! In fact I think this book had me even more hooked because i literally could not put it down. Again I don’t want to go into too much detail about storyline as I don’t want to give too much away but I will say we see Ian again after 2 years of being drugged, tortured and imprisoned. How quickly and completely this author gets me so fully immersed in this world is truly amazing. I could so easily imagine everything that was happening and envision it so clearly thanks to the fantastic writing of this author. I am not wasting a single minute before moving on to book 3.

This was a wonderful conclusion to a fantastic series. The author continues to do a great job of writing characters that feel so relatable, even in a world of magic. The author continues with a roller coaster of action and adventure. I loved how detailed and descriptive the story was, you really feel like you are there with the characters. I loved Ian and how he persevered through all of his trials and the strength he showed. This story will absolutely tug at your heart and keep you enthralled until the last page. Wonderful series for anyone who is a lover of fantasy novels.

This book has so much action and suspense and kept me turning the pages late into the night. There is so much history written in such vivid detail that it makes you think it is real and not fantasy. After three books I love the characters, Ian, Jarryd, and Malaq are the main trio and they fight and love and tease each other. Ian has to fight to stop his father, has to fight to figure out the Crown of Stones, has to fight to keep all the people around him safe. He often makes the wrong choice and bad decisions, but he overall wants to do good so you find yourself cheering for him. I love the magic in the series too, using stones to have powers. Ian is an erudite so he can do all, most people only have one magical ability. The description and thought that goes into the magical part of these books are amazing. This book is suspense, danger, steamy romance, and so much more. It was an epic ending to an epic series. As the third and final book in the series, I didn’t want it to end, so I was excited to see there are more books set in the same world!

This is the first book in this series by this truly talented author and I am telling you now I can’t wait for more. I was completely hooked from start to finish! I don’t want to go into too much detail about storyline as I don’t want to give too much away so I will just say that it is such an intricately woven and creative storyline, so packed full of action that you will not be able to resist turning page after page! I felt so fully immersed in this world. I truly could imagine everything that was happening and envision it so clearly thanks to the fantastic writing of this author. I can’t explain how or why it happened so quickly but Ian weaved his way into my heart right from the start and I know he will stay there for a very long time which is definitely not something I expected when starting a Fantasy series! The world building in the second book was just as good as the first! The places the characters go are so well thought out and described, I feel like I was right there with the characters. The castles, the prison, the ancient cities are all vividly written. I like that this book is told in the first person so you really get to know the main character, Ian Troy, even better in this one. Ian is coming off of the drug used to keep his magic suppressed and is having a lot of flashbacks to his time before being in prison and since then, it fills in holes in the story well. I really liked Captain Krillos in this book and the banter that he has with Ian. There were many of the same characters from the first book with even more added in this one. The story line is soooo good and kept me up late into the night reading so I could see what happened next. There is action, magic, death, romance, and so much more. I can’t wait to read the next book!

This third book in the series was even more interesting than the first two! Not all series maintain the momentum throughout the entire series. Not once did I lose interest reading this series. I love the friendship that Tristan and Harry have. Harry is such an in depth character and is very well written. I love that you get to know his back story even more and he discovers more of himself. I really enjoyed the suspense of not knowing where the author would take us especially when a new character is introduced. Things definitely take some unexpected turns but they really made the story! I look forward to reading more from this author!

In Book Three of The Traveler Series, we continue to follow Harry, a highly intelligent ancient being who has transformed into many shapes over the millennia and traveled the universe. Each shapeshifting experience brings him more power and knowledge. During each transformation he goes into a period of stasis which for him is quick, but for the humans in his life take years. After his most recent shift he made his way back to Tristan after being gone for five years. His new configuration is a surprise to Tristan who takes a bit to adjust to Harry’s new form. It is a whole new experience for Harry as well as he learns how to navigate the emotions as well as the new dangers and obstacles he faces in his new form.
This book was an interesting sci-fi book with a time traveling twist. The characters were wonderful and the relationship between Tristan, Elena, and Harry was heartwarming and adorable. I loved how Harry is able to transform into different forms and travel through time. It was like reincarnation with a twist which fascinated me. I loved the twist the book took at the end as we watch Harry emerge once again. This book was entertaining, imaginative, creative, thought provoking, and engaging. It was packed full of action, danger, mystery, suspense, and time travel.

This is book number three in The Crown of Stones series, and it just took the cake! This is definitely not a stand alone book, so I highly recommend reading the series from book one thru book three. The continuity of character development amongst the three books is impeccable and definitely was a strong reason why this series can keep the readers enthralled. This is an author that understand the importance of growth, both with the writing and with the the characters. The adventures, action, and adoration for this story is amazing and I truly couldn’t keep from reading this book in one sitting. I highly recommend this full series!

If I thought book number one in this series blew my socks off, I had no idea this book could be better! Following Troy’s story is every fantasy readers dream. There was more twists and action that in book one and yet the characters are still just a mesmerizing. The continued character development really makes for a phenomenal series that continues to provide the building blocks as to why the characters are the way they are. This is another must read!

This is the 3rd book in The Traveler Series. Although this book could be read on its own I highly recommend you read the first 2 books so that you get a complete picture about who Harry is and his place in our world. This is a sci-fi fantasy adventure revolving around Harry and his adventures. Harry is a Traveler, he is an ancient being who has lived thousands of lifetimes in one form or other. Everytime he wake he is in a different form and has new challenges to face. In this story he is reunited Tristan. We see the bond between Harry and Tristan grow but as well as the relationships Harry had growing stronger there is also a danger out there and this danger puts Harry’s entire existence in jeopody. This is a fast paced adventure that I couldn’t put down. I loved reading as Harry learns about new things such as music and phones his sense of wonder was amazing. The author does a great job of weaving time travel, adventure, and danger into the story. One thing I loved it that it isn’t a story that you read and know nothing like that could ever happen. Harry’s character is so believeable that I found myself wondering if such ancient souls could exist and survive in our world?
Intriguing This is the first book in The Stella Maris Series and I really enjoyed it. It was slow in parts but as this is the first book there was a bit of a foundation to lay. Once the pieces started to rally into place the momentum builds. We are still learning so much about the characters and Kaela is still unaware of so much. With mystery, danger and trust issues the story is left on a bit of a cliffhanger. I am now very keen to check out book 2. Recommend.

The final one in the trilogy, a trilogy of epic proportions! I could not put it down. Detailed and delighting, comedic and witty, fresh and refreshing. This novel spoke volumes and brought so many emotions out in this reader. Once again this author has done it! Made me want to keep reading, made me slightly depressed that this series ended and yet very happy for our characters. This trilogy is beyond brilliant, beyond the norm and beyond a work of art!

This story is told from multiple POVs. While that may not seem important to some it is for many. While I am not a multiple POV fan on the normal everyday read this story was wonderfully written. It had all the things we expect from fantasy based stories. Great storyline, twists and turns and a line that shouldn’t be crossed but ultimately is. All in all I spent a very enjoyable afternoon with this book.

The world building and character development is top notch.<br />Ian Troy has been imprisoned, drugged and when finally freed finds the world has changed, the Shinree are not slaves but not free either. Ian needs to find out who he is, who he can trust and what hope can do.<br />The story is certainly not without its angst, fights and magic. The Lone Star Child (The Gods’ Scion Book 3) by Winnifred Tataw. This is such a good fantasy, science fiction book. I highly recommend reading the first 2 books so that you aren’t lost. Its a story full of star hopping, action, family, greed. After a millennia the monsters are on full attack and Caro is missing. They have no clue as to where she has gone. Caro is known for getting herself into trouble all the time but this time feels different. Will the acolyates and zodiack find Caro in time. Will the families remain intact after this debacle or will they be forever changed. Read this fast paced, young adult adventure, you won’t be disappointed.

This book was incredible, it was filled with action, adventure, revenge, betrayal, and just so much more that it kept me wanting to read till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book other then I did not read the first two books so I felt a little lost and confused because something were not answered or explained which could be things I missed in the other books. This book was so well written thou I felt like I was right there with the characters dealing with the issues and story with them, it was very entertaining and wonderful world. This book was a page turner, and I couldn’t put it down even thou I was not caught up with everything from the other books. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

If you are a lover of fantasy, magic, and swords, then this series is for you.
Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider is the 3rd and final book in the Crown of Stones series that is thrilling, fast-paced, and action-packed.
My toxic trait is having an unhealthy love and obsession for flawed characters, so my love for main character Ian Troy was next level. His transformation from anit-hero to hero was well written and great to experience. The supporting characters were just as loveable in different ways and such a joy to read.
The series, but especially this book, was well written with a developed plot full of twists and turns that end in a satisfying conclusion.

4 Stars The Lone Star Child (The Gods’ Scion Book 3) by Winnifred Tataw
The Lone Star Child is the third book in The God’s Scion Series and is a Sci-Fi/ YA that is packed with action, adventure, drama, revenge, hatred, betrayal, greed and so much more. I somehow started this series in the middle and plan on going back to read the first book .I have questions that need to be answered and im betting my answers will be in it. With that being said I felt a bit confused in some places but I still truly enjoyed reading this book . After a millennia the time has come to show no mercy as the monsters are now coming. Caro is missing and no matter what they have done they can’t find her. What trouble has she gotten herself into now? I highly recommend reading this book find out what happens next . I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series

This is the last book of series. It was just as great as the other two. Ian has to time travel to fix past mistakes. He needs to try to save himself before he can save everyone else. Is he able to do it?

The second book just keeps getting better. Like the first I highly recommend it. Ian has everything taken away from him, after he captured. He has to fight to keep alive and learn who to trust. Can he do or does he give up? Ready for book three.
