LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I’ve read the majority of this series and although they can be read as standalones I am so happy I finally went back and read book 1. This is absolutely one of my favorite series ever, and this author is in my top 10 all time favorites.
Dane and Lauren have been one of my favorite couples in this series and I’m so glad to finally have their story. I love how all of this came together and she also has a way of leaving me normally with cliffhangers that make me want to scream but in this series she doesn’t do that…What she DOES do is give you little snippets of what is to come all wound up in the ending of these books and just when you think YES no cliffhanger…BOOM she knocks you in the head with needing the next book like right now. Sorry i know that’s all a bit dramatic but its fact! LOL
Fortis Security and all that are involved with it are simply amazing, i finally got to read about all of the characters I have grown to love and see how this all began. It was kind of fun reading them out of order but now that I’ve read book 1, I will continue and reread every one of them again.

Healing Danger is the amazing first book in the Fortis Security series by Maddie Wade. All books in this series can be read as a stand-alone although there is a continuing story running throughout and the series centres around the same group of characters. I however, would recommend that you read the whole series, purely because it is a fantastic series with truly outstanding characters. I first discovered this series by reading books 6 and 7 in the series. I loved these so much that I just had to go back to the beginning and see where it all began. Healing Danger is our first insight into the world of Fortis Security. The Fortis team is made up of ex SAS and Black Ops soldiers with amazing talents. This team is much more than just your ordinary security company though. This book centres around Fortis employee Dane Bennet and school teacher Lauren Cassidy. Lauren’s best friend Claire, who is the wife of Fortis employee Daniel has recently been murdered. In trying to find Claire’s killer, Lauren’s life is in danger as all suspicions lead to Lauren’s evil father who Lauren and her mother had escaped from when Lauren was a child. Lauren has a gift and her father wants her back to be part of his plan to rid the world of all the weak people and start a new world. Lauren and Dane have both secretly had feeling for each other for years and now that Dane is trying to protect her their relationship moves to a whole new level, especially when Lauren is kidnapped. This book is full of mystery and suspense that will keep you gripped from the beginning to the very end and also the added element of romance which makes this book a fantastic read. Thoroughly recommend.

Funny enough, I have read a bunch of these by now but not the first couple. So it’s like going back to how it all started. I’ve seen mentioned in future books all that happened with Daniel and Claire, now I know more of that. I also now have a much clearer picture of so many involved in Fortis. Lauren and Dane are the main focus in book one. They’ve always had a connection but of COURSE he pulls away to protect her. Dumb men, I swear. Lots of action, and it’s just the beginning of the big bad Divine Watchers. If you haven’t dived into this series yet, I recommend it. Such a good read.

Healing Danger by Maddie Wade was an intriguing read. I liked being able to start this book and immerse myself within the pages. I loved the pull that each character had, their struggles and their journey. I enjoyed reading the romance that bloomed within the storyline. I’m glad to say that I can’t wait to read more books by Wade. This was a definite 4 Star book for me.
Healing Danger is an opening to Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security series that blows your mind! It is weird but the first introduction I got to the series was book five and it blew my mind! I fell in love with Maddie’s writing and I think by now I have read most of what she has written, including the Fortis Security series! It all starts with the prologue … it makes you sit up and it grabs you and doesn’t let go AND then you get to the epilogue and I promise you, you will blindly start looking for the next book in the series … Congratulations, you have gotten addicted! Healing Danger is the story of Lauren and Dane, their romance is steaming hot with a hint of sweetness that makes you fall in love with them, together… and add to it all this suspense and intrigue and twists and the paranormal and all those secondary character (who will be getting their own stories, one by one) and … what else does one need!
Healing Danger is the first book in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. It is full of action, adventure, thrills, intrigue, drama, suspense, mystery, sizzle, romance, and danger. As this series is well and truly established, it was great to go back and to where it all ‘began’. I have enjoyed this series immensely and can always count on Ms. Wade to deliver ‘the goods’ and keep me entertained right through till the end. It was interesting to look back and see how the series/story, and even Ms. Wade’s style, has evolved along the way. Lauren and Dane are really great characters and it was easy to get invested in them and the outcome of their story. They are fully developed individuals, with complex personalities and circumstances. Dane is the Team Leader of Fortis who will do everything in his power to protect Lauren from the evil that hunts her. The author held the tension, suspense and intrigue at an extremely high level throughout the book- as well as keeping me guessing most of the way through- she added twists and surprising development that I didn’t see coming, which ramped the excitement up a few notches. So, if you haven’t read the Fortis security series yet, what are you waiting for? It’s well worth the read!

Ive read many books by this author but this was my first of this series and my goodness what a read. Dane and Lauren have known each other for a little while through mutual friends and then lost touch due to Laurens ex. Now Lauren is in danger and they must get to the bottom of many unanswered questions. This was full of everything needed in a romantic suspence. There were times i wanted to strangle Dane because he made a stupid choice but in the end without those,it wouldn’t have been the same. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
Healing Danger, by Maddie Wade, is the first novel in the Fortis Security series. This romantic suspense is full of mystery, attraction/chemistry, and an amazing cast of lead and supporting characters. This author has created characters that each strongly stand apart from another without clashing within the story. Dane’s intensity in this story is the epitome of the alpha male. How he works to protect and support Lauren was superb. Not only was the romance in this book amazing, but the story sequence/plot was well thought out, put together and shared with the reader. It doesn’t feel thrown together, at all. Maddie Wade is a talented author that shines in this genre.
Healing Danger is the first book in the series A Fortis Security Novel by Maddie Wade and this book is a great read. Maddie has written a fast paced action love story with lots of mystery and intrigue, action and twists and turns you never see coming as well as a creepy factor. Maddie has woven plots that keep you on your toes as you follow these great men who fight to keep those they love safe. The story also has another element that adds another level to the story. Healing Danger will keep you glued to page after page as the story unfolds and the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat. Maddie has started the series with a bang and I can’t wait to read the next one.

The story Healing Danger: A Fortis Security Novel Book 1 (Fortis Security Series) by Maddie Wade is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book with action, mystery, and danger. It is a page-turner that at times had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Dane Bennett and Lauren Cassidy. Lauren is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and independent. She also has found herself a current target by someone who is unknown. Who is targeting Lauren? How much danger is she in and who will protect her? Dane is the team leader at Fortis. His job includes protecting others. When Lauren becomes a target, he steps up in order to keep her safe and protected. These two were once very good friends before another man came into her life. Will these two find themselves with a second chance at a relationship? Dane is an alpha male who at times doesn’t communicate well. This causes friction and hurt feelings. Will Dane be able to keep Lauren safe and mend the hurt that he has caused? Both Dane and Lauren find they have a passion between them. There is a chemistry that can’t be denied. Will they find happiness together? Will they get an HEA? Will Dane and the Fortis team find the one who is after Lauren and stop any evil plans that may be in the works? Read this story to find out. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the book. Both the way that they interacted with each other and also with Dane and Lauren. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. Highly recommended reading.
This is the first book in this series, it is full of action and romance. Dane is tasked with keeping Lauren safe but is having some troubles with that as it seems that he could be falling in love with her. I loved both of these characters and their chemistry. I also enjoyed the banter that happens between the two that make them great for each other. There are some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming but it certainly kept me turning pages. I highly recommend reading this book.
Deadly Alliance by Maddie Wade and India Kells is a Fortis/Purgatory crossover novel. This is a great combining of authors who, both in their own right, are authors I would happily read every time. Each of these series have been good reads and this crossover works so well. The way the characters are worked in together was brilliant. You could see each of the different authors styles but you could also see the compatibility between the two. Although I did find the main storyline to be a little bit obvious I still liked how fast paced the book was and how it still managed to keep my attention. I still found myself engaging with the characters and looking forward to what would happen next. This is a great collaboration that I hope we see more of in the future.

Megan Bennett secretly has fallen in love with a forbidden friend of her brothers. Just a one night stand has come to mean so much more to her. After all she is an adult, soul don’t she be allowed to love who she wants? Now she is stuck with keeping the secret or facing the music. Oh and let’s throw in some suspense and you have a story.
Daniel Thompson should stay his path and keep his heart out of it. His priority is keeping his daughter safe. He has already lost his wife, and the mother of his daughter. Running a security company is more than enough to keep him busy. Now his best friends sister has taken a part of him. All this and add someone out to kill them all.
Maddie Wade has done it again. Her stories are so intense. This series has proven that. I love her characters, but more then that, I love how their stories come together. This is a must read series. Can’t wait to see where she takes this series. Job well done !

Phoenix Rising, the seventh book in the Fortis Security series by Maddie Wade, is a military themed romance that follows characters that have been introduced throughout this series with each feature a specific set of individuals with overlapping secondary characters that support the characters. The overall theme that carries through this series is very well written, but each story could be read separately noting how well the author has laid out the book(s). I do recommend reading each story that is a part of this series, as it creates a very in depth and involved story to follow with great character development, suspense and, of course, romance that falls into the characters’ lives. In Phoenix Rising, the author immediately dives into the suspense and drama – Daniel and Megan are thrown together under less than ideal circumstances, but the sparks are undeniable. I found that Maddie Wade handle the ups/downs of this story/series with finesse and expertly carries the reader through the story. A great novel and series for those who love action tied in with suspense and romance.

Phoenix Rising is the seventh book in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. This is a romantic suspense- with action, adventure, emotion, danger, thrills, intrigue, mystery, special ops, secrets, loss, guilt, grief, camaraderie, belonging, drama, second chances, intense chemistry, facing fears, and romance. But, let’s face it, Ms. Wade had me at the mention of Daniel Thompson- I have been intrigued by him and his story since meeting him back in book one. So, I was excited to get my hand on this book, reading avidly right from the very first page, till the last word. I was completely hooked- I read it in one sitting and loved every word. I have loved everything about this series, with each book outdoing the one before it- this book has become my favourite out of the series so far- but then I have said that about every book, they are all sooo good. This could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the previous books to get all the relevant backstory and character introductions that will give you a better understanding of the series and characters, and will enhance your reading experience- not to mention that the other six books are fantastic stories in their own right/s. This story picks up where Arctic Fire (Book #6) left off, and centres on Daniel Thompson who is an Ex-SAS Commander and the second in charge of Fortis Security. He is a widower and single father to his adorable daughter Paige. Daniel has had more than his fair share of heartache, carrying the burden of guilt and pain over the death of his wife. He is a man of few words, an alpha with a fiercely protective streak. His number one priority is to ensure his daughter stays safe, and to find a way to avenge his wife’s murder. He isn’t interested in a relationship, focusing on his family and ‘job’. So, he is totally unprepared for the effect that his best friend’s younger sister would have on him. Megan Bennett is a brilliant doctor (scientist) who is coming to terms with being reunited with her loving family after more than 20 years of forced separation. She was raised by a horrible, vile woman- but thanks to Fortis Security who extracted her, she has is now back with her true family. She has had trouble adjusting- never having experienced a loving family environment, belonging, or love. She feels that Daniel is the only one who truly sees ‘her’- and he has captured her heart. But there are secrets that jeopardises everything she holds dear. What does the future hold for her and Daniel? Ms. Wade certainly doesn’t do things by halves, and she certainly makes her characters ‘work’ for any happiness- there were points where I think ‘How much more can they take?”- Daniel and Megan have been through so much, and again in this story they both will be tested. As with every book of Ms. Wade’s that I read, she held the tension, intrigue and suspense at an elevated level throughout the book- and kept me guessing most of the way through- she expertly added twists and surprises that also ramped it up a few more notches. I adored the ending, and that epilogue is everything!!! This is a quick (180pgs), easy and fast-paced read, and is a superb addition to the captivating series! I can’t wait to read Digital Desire, the next book in the series!

Arctic Fire is the sixth book in the Fortis Security series by Maddie Wade. Just when you think the series couldn’t get any better, Ms. Wade goes and pulls this out of her hat and blows the others out of the water. I love this series so much, and each book seems to outdo the one before it- but Arctic Fire is my firm favourite out of the series so far. It could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the previous books to get a real feel for the series and characters, plus they are each superb stories as well. This has special ops, undercover ops, action, danger, drama, second chances, and romance. There really is so much going for this story that you really should discover all the details for yourself, I am sure you won’t be disappointed. Roz Maklovoi is the leader of ‘Zenobi’, which is a highly skilled and deadly group of female assassins. She has come so far, especially since enduring the traumatic events of her past, the likes of which would have broken most other people and left them a shell of their former selves. But not Roz, she used her trauma and became strong, determined and deadly. But, as the life of a loved one is threatened, Roz discovers that the one responsible for her anguish has resurfaced- so she embarks on a dangerous solo mission that will test her skills and her mettle. Kanan Phillips (K) is a bit of a lone wolf who has a past connection to Roz that he’s never been able to let go or forget. So, when these two are brought together again, he’s determined to protect her and not lose her again. What happened to Roz all those years ago? What is her connection to Kanan? How will this mission play out? Will they fulfill the mission? Another incredible read from Ms. Wade and a brilliant addition to a superb series! I love the sneak peak at the end of the story….. I can’t wait for the next book!
