I love Abbey, she’s got all the sass. I didn’t know there was another book about her. I’ll have to go back and read it too. Abbey sees and talks to creepy clown ghosts all day at school. But, when students start going missing, she knows it’s up to her to find out why.

This YA paranormal read pulls you right in! First I loved all the 80’s music references! Now this isn’t your typical paranormal read. There is actually nothing typical about this book. Clowns have always been creepy to me so to read about them I definitely wanted the lights on! I love Abbey’s thought process about everything that’s happening at Pine Ridge. Also really enjoyed the side story with Peter! I look forward to reading more from this author especially when I found out there’s a first book about Abbey!

Uhm. I hate clowns. With a passion. But this book, oh gosh it was so so good. Abbey is a force, and at only 14, I sure wouldn’t be messing with her. This was my first book from this author, 10/10 stars for you! It was hard to leave it and I really want a second book…

OMG I freaking love this book! It was definitely different than I was expecting even with the cover. I started reading it and it kept me reading more and more. I’m not a very big fan of clowns at all and when the ghost clowns happened I almost stopped but couldn’t. I had to finish the book. I’m so glad I did because it was so good. Abbey is such a wonderful character and heroine of the book. I truly hope that the author makes a second book.

I read Class Clown because of the clown apocalypse. I have always enjoyed a dystopian fantasy read and adding something like clowns was super intriguing. The term apocalypse was a bit overstated for this book, as the clowns Abbey keeps seeing are ghost. Abbey has a unique ability to see and is a self titled spook magnet. Abbey begins at a new school and on a whim joins the girls soccer team. She makes fast friends but she also started the year off by going to a circus with her family, where the clowns have connected to her and now are following her. Abbey if faced with weird occurrences and her friends start going missing. Abbey now has the mission to face these clowns and find her friends before it is too late. This was a quick read and actually fun to get into. I would recommend for a fun, paranormal read. Just don’t take it as a literal apocalypse about to occur.

This book is not my usual genre to read. I find stories like this too much for me sometimes, but I thought I’d give it a go.
I’m glad that I tried it because it was a fantastic story following a 14-year-old Abbey and her paranormal abilities.

I did not realise that this story was one in a series, so I am glad to know that I can go back and read what happened before this part of her life. Before I found this out, I did feel like there was a few gaps at the beginning – but it can still be read as a first if you want to!

I enjoyed her ‘side story’ through sports too. A weird thing to point out? Maybe, but not enough stories for the younger reading age has girls doing sports! The realistic high school drama was the thing that grounded the story for me.

Like many others, I enjoyed reading about the different characters, but feel that there is definitely more to explore!

I haven’t read a YA book in a while and this book was the perfect palette cleanser after all the sad books I’ve read lately.
Abby Hill with her spooky talent gave me a thrilling read with an amazing never been written (that I know of) storyline.
The author did a superb job with the balance between spooky and YA.
It’s the first book I’ve read by this author bit definitely not the last. (Just clicked following)

This was a good one!! It threw me for a moment because honestly possessions and clowns are not my thing, but it was still a fun read. For the younger crowd its a very “Are you Afraid of the Dark” feel.
Abbey was a great girl and she was brave given the nature of the ghosts and spirits that surrounded her. The 80s theme music gave it different type feel a well. I am definitely going to read the first book after having read this one!

Abbey is a ghost magnet. Many of them are calm or confused but some are downright evil. While at the circus with her family, she starts seeing ghost clowns and some even follow her to school. Some of her friends begin to go missing and Abbey can’t help but think the ghost clowns are to blame. Will she get to the bottom of the disappearances and help get her friends home to safety?
The author does a brilliant job mixing paranormal and reality in this young adult thriller. Abbey is a very likable character and super independent and fun. I don’t usually read YA books but I couldn’t put this one down! This book is definitely for anyone and everyone!

Abbey has been able to see ghosts for as long as she can remember. They have moved to a new city and with her dad being an investigative reporter they have ended up at the circus the night before her first day at her new high school. She decides to steer off the path and ends up back in the carnies area, where she sees a confrontation between the clowns. One in particular stands out to her due to his evil look. Abbey begins to see ghost clowns all the time but has no clue what they are trying to tell her, until 2 of her new soccer teammates end up missing. Will Abbey figure out what is going on before it is to late? Absolutely loved this book and hoping to maybe see more from Abbey in the future.

Abbey has never been normal, she sees and attracts ghosts like it’s her job, and this job sucks!. After going to the circus with her family she starts to notice the terrifying figures of different ghosts following her everywhere, from her school to her home. Not even normal ghosts no…. Creepy ghost clowns!!!! When two of her friends go missing she realizes she is the only one with the abilities to possibly save them. Will Abbey be able to stop the Clown Apocalypse and save her new friends?!
This book gave me chills!!!! Wonderfully vivid, whimsical, and creepy. I loved it!!! I really enjoyed Abbey’s story and the relationships with her friends and teammates that grew along the way. I also enjoyed her relationship with her father. Class Clown by Allan Evans kept me turning pages just to find out what happens next! It’s really nice when a book surprises me and this one had so many parts that were really unexpected! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a frightening tale with unbreakable friendships!

Reading this book I had no idea what to expect. Not being a fan of clowns at all, it really scared me! This is what I would refer to as a “sun up” book, only read in the daylight hours. I did enjoy the fact that it was a fast paced read and I loved the heroine, Abbey.

A young girl in a new school, Abbey must work to fit in but add to that the element of fighting off dead clowns. When students at her new school begin to disappear, Abbey makes the connection between the two. Abbey must face her fears in order to help others.

Despite my dislike for clowns and all that they entail, the writing in the book was fabulous. Get it, you won’t be disappointed.

A trip to the circus with her family brings Abbey a lot more than she bargained for. When all hell breaks loose, and dead clowns overrun her high school, she must scramble to put a stop to it before it’s too late. I liked the pace of the story and the plot brought some interesting twists and turns. I liked that Abbey had a bit of a gift in regards to the supernatural and an quiet intuition that those around her lacked. I had trouble really resonating with her though, and feeling fully pulled-in by the story. It seemed like it was happening at a remove. At any rate, a decent read.

Allan Evans delivers in Class Clown! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and he did not disappoint! This book was difficult to put down, full of twists and turns. Class Clown is full of ghosts, hauntings, mystery, intrigue, and typical teenage sarcasm! The characters are well developed and extremely realistic and relatable. I found myself wanting to be friends with Abbey and her team of soccer athletes. They all seem to take the paranormal events that follow Abbey with relative ease, which I thought was maybe a little atypical. The way Allan Evans builds the world in this book so that the reader is transported to the scene, creating a sense of relative calm or foreboding based on the happenings of the story, was absolutely amazing. Beginning Class Clown, I was unaware of other stories featuring Abbey, but found that I didn’t really need to read the other books to fully understand this one. But now, I cannot wait to read more about Abbey and read more books from Allan Evans.

Abbey is a magnet. A magnet for ghosts. She’ll be the first to tell you it’s not glamorous or fun. I mean, how much fun is it when you lose friends and have your life in danger? After a night at the circus with her family, someone, or something, has followed her home; that something is bad. Now with dead clowns at her new high school and friends going missing Abbey is the only one who might be able to help, but she could also be the reason for the craziness…

This was such a fun read! It’s well written and leaves you wanting more from Abbey. She’s strong and independent and you can feel how much she cares about those around her. I haven’t read the first book (Abnormally Abbey) but definitely plan to go back and read it now. It’s not needed in order to read Class Clown though, so no worries on feeling lost!

If you are one to listen to music when you read, an 80’s playlist is what you’ll want for this story. Abbey’s internal song list is bound to get something stuck in your head.

Class Clown is a fun, spooky read and is an exciting twist on Young Adult. Now that I’ve read it, I want to find more Young Adult books in a similar fashion because while we didn’t have ghosts, being a teen was definitely hard work. Throw in some spookiness, and high school gets a lot tougher.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read this book…but I found myself drawn into the story and didn’t put it down until the last page!

Abbey is trying to navigate high school and making friends…while dealing with the ghosts that she can see and communicate with. She has had such a hard time making real friends in the past, so she is excited when she joins the soccer team. However, after a trip to the circus with her family, she has brought back some unwanted souvenirs…ghost clowns! On top of that, her soccer friends are disappearing. Are those events connected? And can Abbey figure out what the ghosts want and find her friends?

I loved Abbey! She is quirky and unique…and her love for the 80’s sealed the deal for me! She deals with a lot for only being 14, which I admired in her. The story dealt with real life issues, such as friendship, high school, and the fear of clowns, but in an entertaining way that I enjoyed reading!

Abbey just started at a new school. She joined the soccer team and is trying to make new friends. But she has a secret that has caused her to lose friends in the past. She can see ghosts. She starts seeing ghosts of clowns all over her school and now her classmates are starting to dissappear. Can she face her fears, save her classmates and keep her friends when they find out what she sees?

I am terrified of clowns, so of course, I had to read this book! I was hooked from page one. The story is very well written and flows smoothly. The characters are complex but easily likable. This was the first book I’ve read from this author but definitely will not be my last.

I have never been one to find clowns creepy or chilling but there was one particular scene in this book that STILL sits very vividly in my mind. I get a shiver even thinking back on it. This was a really well written story that has a lot of description and attention to detail. I enjoyed Abbey and even her friends. I often find teen characters to be childlike and mildly irritating. This wasn’t the case in Class Clown- the girls were enjoyable and almost relatable.
I would really be interested in reading more from this author.

This book originally caught my eye when I saw the spooky cover – and further when I saw clown in the title. I’m not a fan of clowns in general, but love spooky stuff, paranormal, dystopian kind of reads. This book, and Abbey, are not the “norm”. When you do something so different from the rest, it is either a great move or disastrous, and the author with this move did something outstanding.

Abbey Hill has always had spooky events happen to her with ghosts being drawn her way. Most are friendly, or just confused, but some are downright evil. So many relationships have been lost thanks to her “talent” – and that’s not what she would consider it. After taking a fun family trip to the circus with her parents, Abbey begins noticing ghost clowns everywhere she goes. While that is bad enough, her friends then start disappearing. Is Abbey the cause of her missing friends? Can she fix this?

Abbey is really a great, strong, fun character and carries the story incredibly well. I love her sense of self, her snarkiness, her taste in music – on top of all the other dramas and messes of high school, everything blends so well and is a really intoxicating read. I’m thrilled to find several more books by this author to dig into next!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and – let me tell you – it will NOT be the last. This Young Adult Paranormal is led by a wonderful female character, Abbey, and is full of twists and turns that will keep you hooked. Like the title suggests, this book is full of clowns. Abbey’s high school is suddenly plagued by evil clowns and, since she can already communicate with ghosts, of course it’s up to her to deal with it. Even though this is the second book in the Ghost Girl series, I read it as a standalone and had no problem. My next endeavor will be to get the first! I recommend with 5 stars!

This is my first read from this author. I loved this book and enjoyed the author’s style of writing. The story is fast paced and flowed well. It is filled with mystery, intrigue and some horror. Who isn’t scared of clowns? Even the happy ones are creepy as hell. This book is a total clown apocalypse. Being only fourteen, Abbey is very brave for her age. She’s mature, spunky and I love her passion for 80’s music. I could hear the songs playing in my head. This book is a total thrill ride from beginning to end. The twists and turns will leave you on edge, peeking over your shoulder. This is a great book with a unique story that I highly recommend.

Going into this book I was completely blind to the previous happenings in book 1 of the series “Abnormally Abbey” and to be honest I was terrified that I would have no idea what was going on, that was 100% not what happened. To say I was pleasantly surprised with this book, is an understatement. I immediately fell in love with Abbey this quirky, cute, 80’s loving, albeit “a little old for her age” girl with a wonderful sense of humor.
This book lacks nothing as far as capturing you and dragging you into a story about life, growing up, navigating the hardship of high school and …clowns.

A captivating story of a 14 year old girl, just trying to make friends at a new school and fit in, while juggling an ability to see things that nobody else can, the dead…
Abbey has just transferred to a new school and after a exciting summer spent at camp, Abbey; ready to take on a new school year, joins the soccer team and finally make some friends, hoping for ones she can keep. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always give you what you want, after a trip to the circus with her family Abbey starts seeing clowns all around her new school, what’s even worse now her new friends are starting to disappear.

I could not recommend this book enough, the supernatural twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, while the lighthearted interactions between characters gave me everything I needed from this book. Hoping we see much more from this promising author Allan Evans and our spook magnet Abbey.

What a wild ride! Class Clown takes readers into the life of Abbey. She seems like your normal high school soccer player at first glance. As we travel through her life with her we realize that Abbey has the unique ability to communicate with those that have died. In a new high school, with a new group of friends, Abbey finds herself facing off against an army of dead clowns that have a vengeance. She brings her friends into her chaos to try to calm the storm and create peace again within the walls of high school.

At every turn this book surprised me. Woven together with 80’s music, sarcasm, and whitt this story takes you on an adventure you’re not soon to forget! If you love everything that goes bump in the night I highly suggest this book! It will have you turning the pages so quickly, you won’t even realize that you have finished it. The book Class Clown brings a new meaning to the phrase class clown. I didn’t read what it was about and was thrilled to get a story about the clown apocalypse. Abbey is a fun, snarky teen who is a magnet for ghosts and is in part responsible for the clowns. I really enjoyed this paranormal YA story. I found out it is the second in the series but read easily as a standalone book. I will have to watch if Abbey’s story continues and catch up with what I have missed.

I was pleasently surprised by this book! It was unpredictable, and spooky. Given the synopsis, I expected the plot to be pretty self explanatory and deal with the clown apolcolypse. What I found is that there is more to this book than only that. I found myself totally immersed and really enjoying the spooky atmosphere that this book gives off. I particularly enjoyed the way the light and funny nature of a sarcastic teen went with a spooky clown appocolypse. Abbey is a great MC to follow. She is brave, and easily creates relationships that make the book an enjoyable ride. I love how she lives with this crazy ability, and not only does she make the best of it, she never backs down from helping. I also love the found family aspects of this book. This was a new author for me, but I was intrigued by the cover as I love anything horror related, and because of Pennywise I love clowns. I felt this was a perfect fit for me based off that and considering it was the young adult genre that made me grab it. I’m ecstatic with the glee after finishing it. I would say that everyone needs to read this, but I will hold that statement and say everyone except those scared of clowns should read it. While I found it to be a fantastic read, those with clown fears would probably not agree. I found this to be a very entertaining and well written story. I love my scares as much as the next person, the one thing that really scares well anything out of me, it is clowns. This book was crafted so well together, I was intrigued and amazed and scarred at certain points all at the same time. I really had a fun ride with this one!

The scares the story brought as well as unforgettable characters were unlike any other. Every turn Abby faced was a to do with clowns, and to save those she loves most she will have to face her greatest fears. I loved how real Abby was. She was generally afraid, that was made known. She had to find courage to beat the evil that was stalking her. She was remarkably written. I really enjoyed reading of her. I loved how the story went about, it was crafted well with suspense. When it ended I think I had the same feelings as Abby did,! I loved the book and the thrill it gave me. Highly recommend.

Wonderful writing and a story that developed from a gifted author. There was no way I could get enough from this book, it was well done and a thrill ride all the way through. Highly recommend this book!
