Wow. This book was such a god read. I rode the rollercoaster of emotions with this one. The twists and turns and budding love got me hard. Grace has the weight of the world on her shoulders and doesn’t think she can accept help especially from Ryan. It isn’t what she envisioned for her farm. The character growth is *chefs Kiss* and I probably cried more than I care to admit. It was sweet, exciting, and in a sense relatable! Loved this one!!!

I have really enjoyed the Anderson sisters series both books were quick easy reads with great characters and unique stories to each of the girls. Each book can be read as a standalone so the order doesn’t really matter. Just pick a book and enjoy!

A slow start but good read that surrounds two heart warming characters whom being at odds with one another. Being on completely different sides of the narrative while sharing a joint loss brings them together and closer than they thought possible. It deals with grief, love, and drama, and overall a good read. This book focused on development of both characters and story more than excitement and drive, so it was a hard start but good finish.

My heart……..this was a really good story with romance and heartache….I thought the first book in this series got me a bit….this one got me as well and took me on another roller-coaster of emotion. I love becoming enveloped in a story that just full of emotion and some raw moments.
Both Grace and Ryan have had such loss in their lives. Grace loses her best friend and Ryan loses his brother to suicide. Grace is trying to keep it together, with not only losing her best friend, but the threat of her family farm as well. When Ryan loses his brother and feeling at fault, he leaves and decides to go in business…no strings nor attachments. When opportunity knocks and Ryan comes back to sell his mom’s farm, Ryan also tries to buy part of Grace’s land. Will both Ryan and Grace come to terms not only in regards to the farmland but their hearts?

This was an amazing read that filled me with so many emotions! I did not read the first book in the series, but after reading this one I will definitely pick it up to start from the very beginning. Grace lost her very best friend to suicide, which is heart-wrenching all in itself. The loss of her friend hits her terribly hard (understandably) but then she is faced with a difficult task; buy her parents out much earlier than she has planned, or lose their family farm altogether. Ryan enters the picture with some solutions, some a few demons, and an insane chemistry with Grace. Will they end up being a great team, or will their decisions alter their life for the worse? I highly recommend this astonishing, emotionally charged book. I’m heading to pickup the first in the series right now!

Grace and her family have run Blue Sky farm for years. She has a cheese maker using the families farm resources as part of her product. However her mother is sick and the doctors have told her she needs to get away in order to get better. Her mother and father have decided it would be best for them to sell the farm, so Grace had three months to come up with the money and a way to be able to finance the loan to buy the family farm. Ryan who is their neighbor and her best friends brother has returned back to town ten years after his brothers death. Ryan has made offers to buy the barn but has been turned down every time. Grace is still upset that he left as soon as his brothers funeral was over. Well she be able to forgive him for leaving and maybe work together to bring the farms into the future?

All throughout this story, I wanted Grace and Ryan to make peace and and tell each other that their love has grown. I wanted them to put their cards down and fall into each others arms. Grace Under Fire is the second book in Jennifer Raines’ The Anderson Sisters series. It can be read as a standalone, as it follows a different sister from the first book, but if you plan to read both I’d recommend reading them in order to avoid spoilers. Grace is a cheesemaker and stands to take over the farm that has been in her family for generations. She’s used to being independent and relying on herself, but is still building her business and isn’t yet ready to buy the farm. But she has to, soon, or lose it forever. Which means she’s forced to accept help from others – family, those in the community who want her to succeed. And the brother of her best friend, who she hasn’t spoken to since the friend’s suicide many years ago. This is an emotional read about accepting help and coping with challenging situations. The relationship between Ryan and Grace is well written – they’re both open about their attraction to each other, but reluctant to get involved with each other when there is so much for them to work through. I like Ryan’s dog, Satan, who breaks the tension and helps us see Ryan’s caring side. And Bluey the farmhand is fun, always bringing a cryptic crossword clue he’s stuck on (how did the author find so many cheese-themed clues?). This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of rural romances.

Grace is working towards her goals to take over her family’s farm, but this is sped up when Grace’s mum’s health deteriorates. The years she thought she had to buy her parents out has now turned into 3 months or lose the farm. Ryan, Graces neighbor, has returned after 8years away and is ready to sell his mum’s farm. With pressure from the bank, Grace is having to consider Ryan’s suggestions to buy some of her land. Grace and Ryan are well outside their comfort zones – Can Ryan care avian? Can Grace accept the help she needs?
Jennifer Raines has done it again! I really enjoyed this read! This expands on the first story of the Anderson family, Taylor’s Law. Another Anderson sister with strength, sass and determination. Ryan and Grace have a vibrant chemistry that had me hooked from the first chapter! I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. This was sweet and brave – I definitely recommend.
You don’t need to read Taylor’s Law before diving into this story. It is just as sweet, and you won’t be disappointed to give both books your time.

Romantic and emotional This is the second instalment in The Anderson Sisters series and just as good as the first. I really enjoyed Grace and Ryan’s story. This has a bit of everything for romance lovers – angst, drama, sabotage, loss and past history. All this is well written and drenched in emotion. Recommend.

Grace is an Artisan Cheese Maker who is determined to become the fifth generation to live on her family farm. She wants to do it alone because she trusts nobody to help her and is used to relying on herself and doing things on her own. After having recently lost her closest friend to suicide and watching her father get swindled out of land it is important for Grace to keep the family farm going to pass down to farther generations. When she learns that her mom has declining health, she is racing against the clock to come up with money to buy her parents out.
When the bank makes it difficult for her to come up with the money Grace considers selling part of the land to her neighbor Ryan. Ryan’s brother has recently committed suicide and he blames himself for his brother’s death. After years away from his family’s farm, he has only returned with the intention to sell the farm. Ryan finds himself not wanting to become attached to anyone or anything. His only passion in life is to buy a property, flip it, and move on. He surprises himself when he offers to help Grace after someone sabotage’s her purchase. Grace and Ryan both get more out of the deal than they originally bargained for.
Grace and Ryan have undeniable chemistry going on between them but first they both must learn to open their hearts and trust again. Both are headstrong, determined, and used to being independent so learning to lean on each other for help does not come easily. Grace has to first realize that asking for help does not make her a failure and Ryan needs to take down the walls around his heart. Together, they make an amazing couple, and I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold. A great read!

Grace Anderson has spent her entire life knowing that she was going to eventually run the family farm. Grace has started to slowly make it her own by adding handmade cheeses. As her future is drawing closer, things begin to change. First was her sister’s death. Next was the custody battle for her niece. Now is her mother’s health. And for the cherry on the top, her next door neighbor that ran after the death of her best friend, his brother, 8 years ago came home. Grace manages to successfully avoid him at all the local functions, except for a hello. As the changes mount, Grace is finding that she needs him more than ever, but she doesn’t want to.
Ryan Wilson couldn’t stay in that small town that killed his brother. He had to escape. Now, he is back. Unfortunately the one person that he didn’t mean to leave behind won’t talk to him so he can explain. Grace Anderson was just a teen when he left but now she is all woman. A fiercely independent woman that lets him know it. Ryan has given up on love and relationships but is finding that Grace is drawing out all kinds of feelings from him, not just the memories of his brother. When someone starts trying to ruin Grace’s plan to buy her family farm by harming the land and putting Grace in danger, Ryan feels the pull towards his farm and a need to protect Grace. Can he do both without losing Grace?
The author takes you on another emotional ride with this family. Grace’s deeply ingrained independent streak is partially from her father and partially from surviving the schemes of those that seem to be out to get her family. This independent streak causes problems for Grace as she tries to pursue a relationship with Ryan and find a way to make her dreams come true. If Grace could only learn to think before she pops off like a firecracker, she might not have to repair the damage her mouth leaves. This was an excellent duet. I brought my Aussie to American dictionary back out a couple of times but it was worth it. I am sad that there are no more sisters.

Having read the first book I couldn’t wait to get into this one despite having read the first book my attention was grabbed by two relatable things , suicide and farming ….,
Having lost someone I loved to suicide I could identify with Grace and Ryan on an emotional level and with Grace and the family farm I identified on another level as I’m married to a farmer and we live on the family farm and bought the farm over from my husbands parents ❣️
Grace’s hand is forced to a degree to buy her folks out when mom gets ill and she has plenty of ideas to rescue the farm and it’s looming downfall but that also means facing “demons” when she has to take hands with Ryan and to a degree he’s a reminder of what she’s lost and in the same breath it couldn’t have been easy for Ryan because of the bon his sister shared with Grace , maybe I’m just too emotionally involved but my heart did bleed and rejoice at the same time because I felt this on so many different levels …..

A great small town romance between old neighbors. Watching the two main characters discover a new path forward was enjoyable. I read the book in a single setting. I didn’t want to put it down.
Grace has plans to take over her family’s farm in a decade, but with her mother’s help deteriorating her time has just dramatically shrunk to 3 months. Not nearly as much time as she was counting on to be able to buy the farm from her folks. Another hardship tacked onto her life that has already had a fair share of them from losing her best friend to suicide as a teenager to watching her father get swindle from prime farm pand.
Ryan, who believes he failed his younger brother by not preventing his death, has moved on from the town. In that time away he has made a business of flipping farm properties. He has no attachment to land or to people. It is that reason he is back to sell his mother’s farm.
Grace was his neighbor and his brother’s best friend before he died. With hard ballers and sabotage being thrown at them will the past they share bring them closer together? Will they both be able to work through their own issues from mistrust and abandonment to being haunted by tragedy? Will Grace be able to achieve her goal of buying the family farm?

I know nothing about farming, milking, or cheese production. That being the framework for Grace Uncer Fire had me questioning if I would enjoy it. But I took the chance and glad I did. The book was a little slow moving, but it did have a lot of drama that kept the story going. I was a little frustrated by how long it took Grace and Ryan to own their feelings for each other and Danny and the past. I think they didn’t quite realize their own feelings until far too long into the story. And I felt the info surrounding Danny was developed and revealed too slowly. We find out he died. Then much later we learn how. Then much later we learn the circumstances of why. Then nearly at the end, the full feelings and actions that day. So overall I feel like the author drug their feet a little and made the story much longer than needed… but overall I liked it. The characters and the past drama, the closeness of the families, etc were all likeable. I am happy that there is a pre story for Ella- I felt like there was a lot of details from the past hinted. So I look forward to reading Taylor’s law.

I have to say this book had me hooked right from the very start! This author creates such wonderful storylines and characters you just can’t resist them. With such fantastic writing it is so easy to imagine the people and places she describes. I think my heart also engages because as a fellow Aussie I know the places she mentions and it just gives me the warm fuzzies LOL. It is so easy to see that Ryan and Grace are meant to be together if only they’d get out of their own way! Moments in their pasts have made them both create different walls around themselves in order to feel protected from what life may throw at them. While trying to work out who is out to try and take Graces family farm they both little by little chip away at those walls and learn more and more not only about each other but also about themselves.

This is a great book, second in a series, but I had no problem following along not having read the first. But, after reading this one, I’ll be going back to read the first! I don’t normally read contemporary romance; I love a bit of magic in my story. I enjoyed this one immensely and it has possibly opened me up to read more of them! I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the authors writing! The story was very emotional, and I loved the journey the characters went through. Would definitely recommend this series, particularly this book.

While I typically love small town, best friends brother type of books, this one failed to grasp my attention. I had to restart chapters because I wandered elsewhere and eventually skimmed most of the conversations surrounding the family farm succession and how it will be split amongst the sisters. While I did see the author’s note about her reasoning for including explicit information on the topic, it is part of the book that stopped the flow of the small town romance I was hoping for. While I enjoyed Ryan’s character, Grace just wasn’t likeable for me. I always want to root for the main characters but my favorite character was Bluey and I would have rather read about him and Helen. It was a good read, just no wow factor for me.

This book is the second in a series, but it reads well as a stand alone. I had not read the previous book and had no trouble with the characters or following along. Grace Anderson is set to take over the farm from her parents. She has become an expert cheesemaker and is working on improvements for the farm. She doesn’t expect to have to deal with Ryan Wilson nor to have to buy her parents’ farm right now. I enjoyed the romance part of the story between Ryan and Grace. I also enjoyed the suspense of who was causing trouble on the farm. Overall an enjoyable read!

I love small town romances and now I love farm life romances as well! This is the second book in a series but can be read as standalone, which I did, and it was amazing! The characters were relatable and the book dealt with some deep issues/topics. The plot was easy to follow but very entertaining, I couldn’t put the book down! Will definitely add the other books in this series, on my TBR!

This is the first book I have read from this author. I love a good small town romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book in the Anderson sisters series. It could be read as a standalone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I could not put this book down. These characters drew me in from the first chapter. It only took me a little over a day to devour this amazing story.
Grace Anderson is the town’s cheese maker. She loves what she does. Grace is told that her parents have to leave due to mom’s health and wellbeing. She has three weeks to get the money for the farm or they will have to sell it. Grace wants to do this all on her own but Ryan Wilson wants some of her land. She can’t stand him because of the past but they need to put their differences aside to save the farm. Will Grace be able to save the farm or will it fall into the wrong hands?

This was a really good read! This is a contemporary romance with so many emotions, I laughed and cried multiple times while reading this one. I have not read the first book in this series but I didn’t feel like I missed anything, this was definitely a standalone to me. I also haven’t read anything from this author before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I definitely hope to read more from this author in the future!

Grace Under Fire (The Anderson Sisters Book 2) by Jennifer Raines. I loved the first book in this series so it was not surprise that I loved this one as well. This is the story of Grace and Ryan who have both suffered great losses. Ryan lost his brother and Grace lost her good friend to suicide and instead of bringing them together, Ryan ran. Grace was dealing with the loss of her friend and her father getting swindled out of prime farming land. Ryan and Grace grew up around farms and Grace is especially attached to her families. Ryan is not and does his best to make money on flipping farms. Grace finds out she only has a short period of time to buy out her dad or they will lose her family farm. When Ryan offers her a solution she doesn’t want to accept but it may be the only way to save her farm. There is also the little problem of them being crazy attracted to each other. Neither one wants the problem of a relationship so will they let down their guard and try to make it work as business partners and more? Read this fun installment of the Anderson Sisters Series.

This is an okay read. I liked the idea of the story but the execution was a struggle for me at times. Sometimes it ran smoothly and others it was very choppy and cryptic. When a character asked “What do you mean?” To another..I was wondering the same thing but what they said did not make sense. Ear the end this seemed to get worse.
I liked the characters but my favorite is Bluey when it shouldn’t be. He is a secondary. The main female had a lot of issues to work through (personal and job). I see the author was touching on a couple touchy subjects. The family farm is a rough one and I can see the responsibility and pressure one could feel.
Overall its an okay story. The cover is cute and thats what pulled me to it. The blurb sounded intruiging. It fell a little flat for me.

Very good! This is the second in a series, but can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first book in the series, but am eager to do so after reading this one!
Grace and Ryan are very different, but both struggling through a shared loss, and now through a shared goal! Grace is a determined and independent woman and Ryan isn’t looking to get involved with anyone, but after years of not seeing one another, can they make the best team?
This was an emotional read with amazing characters. The author developed a strong setting and does a great job developing relatable, likable characters. This one will keep you turning the page!

5 Stars Grace Under Fire (The Anderson Sisters Book 2) by Jennifer Raines
Grace Under Fire is the second book in The Anderson Sisters series and is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I devoured this book in one sitting. This story will definitely take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride. My emotions were all over the place . There is some sensitive content but its mentioned in a very delicate way. I absolutely loved this story and the characters are relatable, well developed and raw at times. Grace is artisan cheese maker and fifth generation to work on the family farm. Her mother’s health declines and Grace finds herself buying out her parents dor the farm. Ryan suffered something tragic in the past and finds himself flipping farm properties for the last eight years. These two both have pasts but can they each work through to have a relationship? Can Grace get over her mistrust and teach Ryan to care again? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

4.3/5 Stars This was my 2nd book by this author and I enjoyed it! It’s always cool to read books that are set in other countries. This book is well written and easy to follow along. The dynamic between Grace & Ryan is such a beautiful thing to see play out. The story definitely pulls on your heartstrings when addressing the grief between the two.
