4 Stars!!!!

I have to admit that it was nice to get to read Damian’s story and the prequel to Premogenito. I like how the author is able to spin the tale and bring the characters to life. This book definitely didn’t disappoint.

I found that the drama in the book added so much. To see how Damian and Jenn got together and how Damian’s grandfathers acts shape his life and future. I found the book really grabbed me and kept me at the edge of my seat. To see how the legacy affects the family and how Damian’s father’s actions in trying to leave the family had put all the wheels in motion. I most certainly will be reading more from this author in the future.

Greta Cribbs is a mastermind. Venganza has become one of my favorite books. The tone for this story is a dark thriller. Greta Cribbs does put a warning with this story. I would take it seriously as there are twists and turns around every corner. This story has elements that can shake a person right down to the foundation of their beliefs. Greta Cribbs has created characters that are fully developed and they are on a mission. This story is the prequel to Primogenito. That story tells the fate of Damian at the hands of his grandfather and uncles. Leo is Damian’s father. Renato is Damian’s grandfather who is punishing his father, Leo for leaving his family. If you are wanting a great thriller this is the book for you.

I read Primogénito first and was pretty confused by it. I finally got the prequel I desperately needed! This book shed so much light on everything that happens in Primogénito that I may actually read that one again.
Fans of Stephen King will enjoy these book just for the sheer creepiness of the Fuentes family. It almost would be less terrifying if these books were set in a fantasy world.
Damian’s father, Leo, is the first to try an escape the life of ritual and torture that has been his family’s legacy for centuries. Renato will not tolerate this act of betrayal by his son and kidnaps his grandson to continue the family traditions. Damian suffers more than any child should have to bear for the sins Renato says Leo has committed. Jenn is Damian saving grace and even though I’m doing my absolute best to distance what I know about Primogénito so I don’t spoil anything, I still think Jenn is the only one with even a shred of common sense even though she loves a man who has gone through worse than Hell and will carry it with him forever.
If you like King levels of dark and twisted, read this first and then Primogénito.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is the prequel to Primogénito and tells Damian’s story. It is a compelling, quick and easy read. There is suspense, drama and intrigue- with were gut-wrenching and heart breaking moments that kept me glued to the pages. I couldn’t look them away because I really needed to know what happened. I devoured it in one sitting!
Ms. Cribbs really did a fantastic job with this story. The plot had so much happening in it- but she coordinated it all into an exciting and captivating read. She has such a great eye for detail and a fabulous imagination.
I really don’t want to say too much more, because I don’t want to give away any spoilers. I recommend reading all the captivating details for yourself.

Thank you, Ms. Cribbs!

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is a story that goes back before Primogenito and gives you more of an understanding of the characters and story. This book drew me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.

The Fuentes family has secrets. They’ll do what they need to keep those secrets. Not all secrets are easily kept and Damian is proof of that. Due to certain events in his life, Damian feels that his father abandoned him. Whether that’s exactly what happened or not, it’s hard for those feelings not to show up in Damian’s daily life. Will the events Damian experiences interfere with his relationship or does Damian have a bond that can’t be broken with Jenn?

This book and these characters were written with such detail that it feels like you are right there with them. The book was definitely suspenseful and had some scenes that may be difficult for younger readers. This was such a good book to read!

The authors pulls you deep into this book and has you captivated from the word go. As a prequel to the Fuentes Legacy series this book tells the story of Damien and Jenn. I loved the detail the author goes into with the book and the complexity of the story. It adds a depth to the book in a way that I’ve not read for a while. An overall great book.

This is the prequel to Primogenito and it is a haunting and intense story. The Fuentes family has been entangled with black magic and has been committing evil acts for centuries. Leo wants nothing to do with the family legacy and has been trying to protect his son Damian for years. Unfortunately good intentions pave the way to hell and one fateful night Damian ended up in his own private hell. It was violent, malicious and degrading. His family didn’t only injure him physically, they crushed his soul. It will take Damian a long time to piece himself together again.

This book is definitely not for the faint of heart and can be a trigger for some people. It was so detailed and well written that I felt like I experienced everything as well. There were moments where I needed to step back and breathe. The book shows the aftermath of what a victim goes through. It enlightens you to all they need to overcome mentally in the road to healing. It doesn’t only affect them but the ones they love as well.

The author did an excellent job explaining Damian’s story in this book. It is a good lead into Primogenito and Damian’s reluctance into returning to Asheville.

I was so so so excited when I found this book, I read Primogenito quite a while back and of course loved it as with any book by this author and when I found this one and then realized it was the prequel I was even more thrilled. To write a story that goes back before the brilliance of Primogenito and getting to know these people a little more and understanding how this story started was genius. This author continues to amaze me and I absolutely can not say enough about how much I love her stories and how she forms the storylines.

This one was nothing short of heart breaking and I held my breath a few times and felt some deep rooted anger that had me wanting to crawl into my kindle and show a few people what they could do with their protected secrets!! The emotions that were portrayed in this story made them feel so so real because they weren’t just written they were formed with the greatest care and I felt as close to understanding how these people were feeling as I possibly could.

I just don’t know how to put in words my love for this author’s writing, even if some of the things she writes are so very hard to read she does it in a way that you can tell she thought about her readers as she wrote her words.

I HIGHLY recommend this and every book this author has, I became a forever fan after the first book I read by her and that continues to be the case.

Amazingly Awesome!!

The story Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is a thrilling book that I enjoyed reading. It had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. It is a story that drew me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. It is a story about a family’s legacy and the love that two people have for each other. The Fuentes family is one that has secrets. Magic and a legacy that they are willing to kill to protect. Leo Fuentes left the family and does everything in his power to make sure that his father never finds his son, Damian. Even with his best efforts Damian is found, kidnapped and tortured. Leo is a father that feels guilt for not being able to be a part of his son’s life and now that pain is further compounded by what has happened to Damian. Damian is a man that has feelings of abandonment by his father. He has a wonderful relationship with the one he loves, Jenn. Will his kidnapping and the aftermath change that relationship, or will Damian’s and Jenn’s bond prove to be unshakeable? Read this story to see what happens when Damian is kidnapped and how it all turns out for him and Jenn. This story is a prequel. It gives a look into the raw emotions that the characters of Damian and Jenn feel. You can’t help but be moved by what they go through. They are two characters that I loved in the story before this one and this prequel made me love them even more. The way that the story is written I felt like I was right there with the characters. There were times that were suspenseful, and I had to remind myself to breathe. You also get to read about how Leo Fuentes feels about his son and his family. There are additional characters that are introduced in the story and I enjoyed reading about the part that they play and their interactions with Damian and Jenn. There are scenes in this story that are very intense and others that warmed my heart. This is a story that I would recommend reading.

“No Fuentes can leave the family.”

For centuries the Fuentes family has harbored dark secrets. Secrets involving magic and a sinister legacy which they are willing to kill to protect.

Leo Fuentes was the first to try and break free. Now his only concern is that his father, Renato, not discover the location of Leo’s son Damian. But Renato has ways of finding people, and Damian is the one who will ultimately pay the price for Leo’s desertion of the family.

This prequel to Primogénito tells the story of Damian’s kidnapping and torture at the hands of his grandfather and uncles. It also tells the story of Damian and Jenn. Of their love for each other and their determination to let nothing come between them. Of their resolve to hold on to hope even when it seems all hope is lost.

Holy Moly what a book!! I can honestly say I have never read a book that even compares to this one, but that doesn’t surprise me because as I’ve said in previous reviews for her other books (which were blow me away awesome) this author has the most creative mind and she absolutely shatters me every time I read one of her stories.

I’m not even going to try to sum this book up, I wouldn’t know where to start unless I just copy and paste her synopsis. I will say this though…The characters of Damian, Jenn, Ashley, Nick and Leo were written perfectly as well as the others but those five were just plain awesome. This hit on every one of my emotions, there were parts of the story I was scared, angry, like throw my kindle kind of angry, heartbroken, excited, happy, and sometimes confused, and the transition from one emotion to the next wasn’t always easy. I literally read this book in one sitting because there was no way I could put it down, the twists were placed perfectly, and the writing style was perfect. It moved along quickly with no “fluff” thrown in along the way.

I love this author, she is an absolute genius. You just never know what her next book is going to bring and I think that’s simply brilliant.

Ill admit that although Im so excited about what she thinks of next, I’m also a little scared to see what she thinks of next. LOL

LOVED IT!!!

She did it again…She wiped me out when I read Amelia’s Children and in this one she completely shattered me. I’ve decided that if I was asked which author Id most like to meet it would be Greta Cribbs…I would love to shake the hand of the author that has one of the most creative writing styles I’ve ever experienced. How she comes up with this stuff baffles me. The old saying “you can’t make this stuff up”? Well I’m thinking she had to have made it up because believing in what happened in this story would put me over the edge, kind of in a good way because I love time travel stories.

These four siblings were brought to life in this story. I felt like they were real people, the way they interacted and went off on tangents in their conversations that shouldn’t have made any sense in their predicament, yet did! There was so much content fit into what I consider a short novel and what I loved most was, I never felt lost. She had a way in her writing that kept me from never having to go back and reread anything. I also loved how I couldn’t put it down, I carried my kindle while walking so I could keep reading. I loved how I felt every emotion I think she intended me to feel. I laughed, I cried (oh did I cry), i scratched my head while trying to figure out what was gonna happen next, and i found myself asking the same questions they were..What would I do?

To go off subject, or as I described the tangents above I have to say that her description “a giant accordion playing its workday song along I-75”, was brilliant.

I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!!

Amelia's ChildrenAmelia’s Children by Greta Cribbs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amelia’s Children is Greta Cribbs’ debut novel and after reading it I am convinced, she will have a bright future! It was a fantastic paranormal mystery worth all of the five stars!
Amelia’s Children is about a 30-year-old murder where the killer was never caught. It starts with a stranger appearing in a southern small town and asking uncomfortable questions. Who is he? What is his connection to the murder? Why did he come? He is David Jenson and he has ‘dreams’ and he is taking us along on a journey that he has set out on with Sarah Hathaway. Sarah is a young woman, she has just returned from L.A. after abandoning her dreams of becoming an actress.
Sarah feels an instant connection to David and throughout the story we keep asking ourselves, will there be more between them as David also feels a connection to Sarah once he starts opening up. I also loved the relationship Sarah had with his brother William and I cried my eyes out when William suffered the incredible and heart breaking loss …
Greta has weaved a great story filled with mystery, adventure and danger. It keeps you on your toes so you cannot put the book down so you better wait until Friday night before you start reading it, otherwise you will be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Your boss will not be happy with your level of attention and energy the next day!
The writer has an amazing writing style and takes you at time to a direction you could not see coming! Grab a copy and find out for yourself if David and Sarah do solve the 30-year-old mystery

Holy Moly what a book! I started it and could not put it down. This author has spun a tale here that will have you guessing on every page. This is my first book by this author but will not be my last, this story flowed perfectly, and I fell in love with the characters.
In a small town in Georgia, Amelia was murdered, the case is still unsolved 30 years later. There are rumors and speculation but no concrete answers.

Sarah has returned from California after failing to make it as an actress, she is now working in her parent’s restaurant as a waitress, not something she wants to do. She doesn’t even want to be back home, but found she had no other choice.

David comes to town wanting to meet with Sarah’s father in the restaurant. He is a stranger and no one seems to know why he is in town. This has Sarah on a mission to find out just what he is up to, not only that but she feels drawn to him for some reason. When she guesses why he is there and that it has something to do with the unsolved murder case from 30 years ago, she sets out to find the truth, with the help of her brother. The truth though may be hard to handle and Sarah finds out a lot more than what she bargained for.

As Sarah and David grow closer, can they find the answers in time, or will the darkness take everyone they love from them, even possibly themselves?

Great book, I highly recommend it!
