Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Ashley McMillon

Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6)Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The author has given yet ANOTHER layer of complexity to this Hawke family, and I was in shock by the end of book 6! This was one of the best of the series in this collection, and it is only a novella! We learn about the boss, Steele, and how he has an amazing night with this guy, Byron. Of course, the secrets of his involvement in the mafia, and Byron’s connection to the Hawke family get Steele pressed into a corner. It always seems that these incredibly steamy romances cause the main character of the story to have a dangerous decision to make! You will be thoroughly surprised at the craftiness of the author once you hit the ending! Do not forget to read all of the other books in the collection! I hit my aha moment a few times once i concluded the series!

I have read many books by this author as she is one of my top ten and this book was once again a great read. I love how she is able to bring the characters to life. I find that the characters begin to grow and evolve throughout the story and that adds to the feeling as though I am right there in the heart of the action. I also love how she is able to balance out the drama and romance making such a well rounded book. I find that the characters have a real electric chemistry and I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series. I really do highly recommend this author.

The Hawke Family Complete CollectionThe Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a collection of the six books in The Hawke Family series. Each of them have a unique, but still interconnected story. They need to be read in order. The Hawke family is made up of biological siblings with their partners; also it has members who are adopted in the sense of a found family. They are fiercely loyal to each other, and always focused on the best interests of each individual. Sometimes this leads to angst within the characters who struggle with knowing the choice they want to make might not be what the family members want them to choose. Ms. McNamee does an excellent job of not only building suspense into each book, but also creating a consistent world within. By the time I reached the end of each story, all the questions I had were answered. There is good representation of a person with different abilities. Contained within book 3 are some BDSM descriptions. Of course all of the storyline is awesome, but Ms. McNamee also gets an A+ rating for the spicy parts. The explicit descriptions were just perfection!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My first time reading anything by this author definitely did not disappoint! I was sucked in almost immediately by this prequel. A quick easy read that kept me wanting more! I hate cliffhangers but knowing this is a prequel I was prepared for it, and I absolutely cannot wait to read more of “Jack” and “Nolan’s” story! Jack and Nolan meet in a dive bar, somewhere Jack doesn’t look like she belongs. Things turn hot fast and neither seems to want to deny or admit what they are feeling, after all it was only supposed to be one night. I will definitely be preordering the first book in the series and reading all her previous books!

The Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Nicole Thompson

I was fortunate enough to experience The Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwen McNamee, comprising Savage Collision, Tortured Skye, Stone Sober, Building Storm, Tainted Saint, and Steele Resolve. These stories progressed even more impressively as I continued to read. It was a riveting series that had me absolutely hooked, with family drama, intricate relationships, and unexpected twists at every turn. To gain a full appreciation of the intertwined plot line, it is essential to have read all of the preceding volumes in the series.

For those curious, a brief synopsis of each book is provided here:

Savage Collision – Not the usual type of romance, this book offers a thrilling combination of suspense and danger which, coupled with an astounding plot twist, demonstrates the meaning of genuine affection and understanding. But I won’t spoil it here – read it to find out more!

Tortured Skye – With love, drama, laughs, tears, and of course some truly captivating sex scenes, this book was one I simply couldn’t put down. From the moment I opened it, the dynamic between Gabe and Skye had me glued to the pages, waiting in anticipation to see what was coming next. If you haven’t yet read Savage Collision, I highly recommend it so you can properly experience this fascinating story.

Stone Sober – A stunning five-star read, the saga of Stone Hawke’s private challenges. Neither of them can avoid the enchantment they feel for each other, no matter how hard they try. There’s even more that takes place. This book is immensely captivating, brimmed with thrilling actions, and enigmas that can break apart relationships. It was extraordinarily gripping! Gwyn possesses the remarkable power of pulling her readers into the story. She brings you into their world and family in such a vivid manner that it’s almost like being a witness to the events firsthand.

Building Storm – I am endlessly astonished by the remarkable ability of authors to continually create stories of such exquisite quality and complexity, repeatedly. An indomitable attraction binds the characters to one another, but their relationship is nothing more than a mental and emotional connection. I’m enthralled by the way they attempt to deceive us. Even though they deny it, they will ultimately discover the contentment they both seek. I will never allow it to be any other way! The more they resist, the more inescapable the outcome.

Tainted Saint – This love story is so engrossing, it’s almost as if I can feel the heat coming off the page while reading the exchanges between the characters! I am utterly captivated by this family’s tale and the way it concluded has left me yearning for more. As with the prior novels, there are some highly sensual moments and an unwavering emotional core.

Steele Resolve – It would be an immense mistake to not read these stories in sequence; they are simply that outstanding! It’s like a flower, the individual petals being captivating and compelling, but together creating something majestic. This tale is a profoundly affecting romance between two men, but its impact transcends physical attraction; its message lingers long after the final page has been turned. It’s an adventure that will keep you entertained and enriched.

This book is amazing! I love that you can jump straight into the next book without having to go buy the next one or find it in the kindle store. If you love series that all blend together and you hate having to find the next one this is an amazing option to read all of their stories.

This book has family drama, relationships of all different types, and twists you will not see coming. Once you think you know everything about one of the stories, there’s a twist. If you are looking for a series that keeps you on your toes and is hard to put down this is the book.

The heart of all of these stories is the importance of family. If you like close families that like to know everything that is happening in each other lives. Definitely read this book. Can love and family conquer all? Read to find out.

While each book is completely different from the previous one, the characters all play strong roles in the whole collection. Tortured skye

I love a good collection and this was brilliant.

Book 1 – Savage Collision
This is Savage and Danita’s story. A brilliant start to the series and a great introduction to the Hawke Family.

Book 2 Tortured Skye
This is Skye and Gabe’s story. I totally loved Gabe in book 1 and wasn’t sure about Skye – but by the end of this one she had won my heart.

Book 3 Stone Sober
Up until now Stone had always been in the background in the previous books. Finally he gets his story and we get more of Nora., Danika’s sister. Their story is intense.

Book 4 Building Storm
This is the eldest Hawke daughter, Storm’s story. This cut deep emotionally. We also get to meet Landon and together these two have had their fair share of heartache.

Book 5 Tainted Saint
This is Saint and Caroline’s story. Caroline is Danika’s best friend and Saint is a new bouncer at the club. This is their story.

Book 6 Steele Resolve
This is Byron, the manager of Savage’s club and Luca “Steele’s” story. It’s an enemy to lovers M/M romance. It’s different, in a good way, to the rest of the series.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. It was fantastically written and my interest was peaked in every book. Highly recommend the whole series and best read in order.

How have I never read a book by Gwyn McNamee until now? Let me just tell you this author is a master at filling her stories with strong, interesting characters along with tantalizing writing that packs an emotional punch and keeps you drawn into the story until the final page. I’m so excited I found this wonderful compilation of all six stories in the Hawke Family Series. You might think six stories is a long read, but as each one brings something completely different, then the next you will be forever engrossed in the lives of these characters. Though this series can be read as standalone books, I recommend reading them together, as some previous characters will make cameos in other books while other characters will even play major parts in their family and friends’ lives, helping us get backstory and connecting them all together nicely.

This complete collection of all six stories in The Hawke Family series includes:

-Savage Collision (Book #1)
Danika & Savage’s story

-Tortured Skye (Book #2)
Gabe & Skye’s story

-Stone Sober (Book #3)
Stone & Nora’s story

-Building Storm (Book #4)
Storm & Landon’s story

-Tainted Saint (Book #5)
Caroline & Saint’s story

-Steele Resolve (Book #6)
Luca & Byron’s story

The Hawke family have a lot going on in their lives which is to be expected as they hail from the never-sleeping city of New Orleans. These siblings and friends face challenges most wouldn’t dream of, especially having to deal with the mob, club dancers, and their own personal conflicts. I love how they cone together for each other no what they are facing and dealing with in their lives.

While I loved all the stories in this series Savage Collision (Book #1) Danika & Savage’s story was definitely my favorite by far. I love that Dani is a strong / confident woman who isn’t afraid of Savage and his need to control pretty much everything. It was nice to see Savage’s vulnerability with his heartbreaking story and how he developed from it.
I would love to go into detail about each of these amazing books, but we would definitely be here all day, and I know I would give away too many spoilers. So I’ll just say pick up this series and watch these characters grow and face challenges as they experience passion, love, and hard choices in their lives. Before you start reading, though you want to find a comfy chair, because if your like me you won’t come up for air until several hours later, these stories are just that good and addictive.

This is a new author for me, and I’m wondering where I have been! I’ve been missing out on some great stories. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to read this collection. It was amazing! This author has a new fan. This collection was filled with so many emotions, and I felt everyone of them. I never wanted to put these books down, I lost many hours of sleep reading and I don’t regret a moment of it. I cannot wait to see what is in the future for this author and looking forward to going back and reading past books. Don’t miss out on this collection, be mischievous, stay up all night, read all the books. You’ll be hooked! Highly Recommend!

~ The Hawke Empire Collection ~

Where do I even start? This ebook contains the entire series of the Hawke family escapades: Savage Collision, Tortured Skye, Stone Sober, Building Storm, Tainted Saint, and Steele Resolve. Definitely a series you will want to take your time savoring!

The family is based out of New Orleans. So as you can imagine there is a ton going on for them. Between the entire family, Gwyn really develops each character line in such a splendid way you will not want to miss out (or close your book.) Their adventures include the family business, storms, interfamilial troubles, and of course plenty of dancing. But don’t take my word for it. Pick up either the entire collection, or one of the stories and sink your teeth in. You won’t be able to let it go!
