I give Second Chance Spirit: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.
If you have read book one in the series, you are familiar with both of these characters. I was really excited when I saw that this book was about them. I was not disappointed either. We learn so much more about them, what led them to be who they are today. We also see who they really are now dealing with the house and the supernatural attached to it. They are just great, real people and makes this book what it is.
But let us not forget the story itself. Going by the name of the series, there are ghosts involved. The house Trent inherits is right out of a horror movie, but one I myself would love fix up and live in. I could imagine myself right there in it. The bad vibes they feel in house, the things happening to them, again, remind me of a horror movie, but in the best way. I would not say this is a horror book, but what is and has happened is both eerie and heartbreaking.
If you are a fan of Paranormal Romance with a good dose of suspense, this book is for you. It can be read as a stand alone book, but I recommend the whole series.

A fun and ghostly paranormal romance with a second chance at love twist. Having been introduced to Trent and Tina at the end of the first book in Pulkinen‘s ‘Haunted Ever After’ series I was looking forward to reading their story. Although the characters do crossover this can be read as a standalone story but I would recommend reading ‘Love at First Haunt’ as well. Big city successful lawyer Trent Austin inherits his uncles Victorian mansion in the suburbs, it’s just a shame it’s rundown and comes with ghosts. Desperate to sell the house he calls Tina Sanders, the best real estate agent in Michigan and also his ex girlfriend who dumped him. Tina ended her relationship with Trent due to her fear of commitment but as soon as she sees him again she realises that the chemistry is still there. The situation becomes more complicated as not only is Trent trying to rekindle things with Tina but he is soon fighting for his life as something in the house wants him dead. This is a good mix of romance, comedy and mystery with a ghostly twist and I was hooked from page one. I loved the main characters and the chemistry between Tina and Trent really came across in the narrative and their mutual attraction led to some rather hot and steamy scenes. An enjoyable and engaging read, I look forward to book three in the series.

So this is book 2 in the haunted ever after series and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint I really liked Tina and Trent’s characters. I really enjoyed the sexual tension between these two and I loved that we had a believable history between them. It made me chuckle a few times and overall I am loving Carrie’s books. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After Series. It can definately be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book as we are introduced to our main characters in that book. I have loved all this authors books as they contain my two favourite things paranormal and romance. The style of writing and the authors ability to write amazing characters has you gripped from beginning to end.
Trent is a successful lawyer. When his uncle dies and leaves him his run down mansion in the suburbs the last thing he wants to do is spent time on it. So he contacts the best person he knows to get it sold. However there are two things he doesn’t count on. The fact that his uncle didn’t just leave him the house but also secrets within and the fact that the person he hires to sell it is his old flame. Tina is amazing at her job so when Trent asks her to sell his uncles house she knows she can do it. However she isn’t prepared for all the emotions and feelings it stirs up between them.
As the pair work together to get the house ready for sale they both have to deal with their emotions and feelings and also the paranormal goings on that happen around the house.

I enjoyed returning to the vibrant world Carri Pulkinen created. I enjoyed taking part in the journey of Trint and Trina as they found each other and learned to love each other. Carrie Pulkinen’s novel had some nice twists and turns and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love Carrie Pulkinen’s take on the paranormal. I look forward to reading the next installment of this series.

Second Chance Spirit: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. This can be read as a standalone book but I believe better enjoyed if you have read book one first. Trent inherits a Victorian Mansion from his “crazy” uncle, but there are more issues than the eye can see. Hiring Tina to help him sell the house quickly things start going wild. Will Trent and Tina figure out the mysteries of the house? I always enjoy a new story from Carrie Pulkinen and this did not disappoint. The story is a fun, paranormal romance with a bit of thrill and chills thrown in. Second chances are all around in this story and a good reminder that some things are meant to be. This is a quick read which will have you laughing one moment and wondering what all the haunting is about the next. I look forward to reading the next book in this series soon.

So, this is the second installment in the Haunted Ever After series and I have to say that I fricken loved this one. Tina is just an amazing character who was my favourite in the first book, so I’m glad that she’s now back and is main protagonistic-ing it up in this one. As we all know, Tina is awesome at selling houses, in the first book she’d managed to sell a whopper of a place now though she has a bit of a challenge on her hands because the house that she has been asked to help sell is a bit on the creepy side. And when I say creepy, I really mean verging on Hill House levels of spooky. Another issue happens to be that the man he is helping sell the place, just so happens to be the same guy that she might have skipped out on when her feelings for him became a bit too real and scary. Trent is his name and being a hot-shot lawyer and inheriting creepy mansions is his game. When he gets the old Victorian place from his Uncle, he can’t shake the feeling that there is something seriously wrong with it, getting a spooky vibe from it the moment he sets foot in the place. So he enlists the help of Tina and, while she’s super shocked to get such an invitation from him, reticent to dip her toe back into the scarily deep pool of emotions she felt for him before, she agrees. I thought this was a great read, and all the simmering sexual tension between the two characters felt believable because of the history between them, and also because I have to say that Tina is an awesome character and wherever you stick her she just makes it better. This feels like the Pulkinen I’m used to and the Pulkinen I love and adore. A nice feisty, sure of herself protagonist with a dash of sexual tension and just all-around fun and giggles to tie it all together. I am looking forward to reading the next book, after this I honestly cannot wait.

This is a story that grabbed my attention from the beginning. I loved the characters Allison Gray and Logan Mitchell. Instead of love at first sight like most love stories, this one is love because of a haunting by a ghost. The novel is an amazing read. Logan is an empath but he doesn’t know. He meets Alison and his life changes. She teaches him how to block his empath abilities and shows him what love really is. Romance and paranormal go great together. It is the first book in a new series from Carrie and this genre is something that she does oh so well.

Second Chance Spirit is the 2nd book in the Haunted Ever After series, I have read a lot of books by this author, but I think this series is my favourite so far. This book follows on from the end of the previous book, which introduced us to Trent and Gina as the main characters best friends. In this book Trent and Gina discover that they are more compatible than they first thought. When Trent inherits his uncles old house, he asks Gina to sell it for him they discover that they have a lot in common and start to become honest with their feelings for each other. However, nothing is ever that straight forward. As they explore their feelings for each other the house seems to be trying to tell them that all is not right and something sinister starts to mess with Trent’s health. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are really likable and the story is exciting until the end. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Trent Austin is a good looking lawyer who has just inherited an old Victorian mansion from his Uncle and he has no idea why, they were never that close and it seemed like his Uncle really disliked him, but when he goes in to see what state it is in and gets a really creepy vibe from it and a couple of strange things happen when he tries to open the curtains, he decides he wants rid as soon as he can, so he calls on the only person he can think of to do it. Tina Sanders is a sexy and confident woman and she is extremely good at her job, so when a call from Trent comes in for help selling his newly inherited mansion, she is reluctant to get involved again since she dumped him and ran away three months ago when she got scared by her feelings towards him, but decides that she can be professional, accepts the job and agrees to meet with him at the house the next day.
When they get there, Tina agrees that there is a creepy vibe but she goes around and gives her assessment of what needs doing so they can get a good price, but she is finding it hard to concentrate, as is Trent as the attraction they both felt is reignited as if the last three months hadn’t happened, but neither of them want to act on it. As they continue to walk through the house, they come across rooms in which the decoration doesn’t make sense and just increases the discomfort, but that all increases when they get to the third floor room, Tina feels a compulsion to unlock it and when she doesn find the key and unlock it, she feels like that was a mistake and wants to flee the room as soon as she sets foot in it.
A couple of days later, both Tina and Trent are faced with a barrage of questions by their best friends about what happened when they saw each other and neither of them are forthcoming with the information, but in the end their friends leave it alone for that moment in time. As time progresses and Tina and Trent work together to get the house ready, more strange things happen to them while they are inside, not to mention that they are struggling with their emotions, but when things get dangerous and more serious injuries start, things get personal and a decision is made to get rid of whatever is causing the trouble, but things are not as they seem and as family secrets are revealed will the group be able to see their plan through, or will the house become deadly? Will Trent and Tina ever be able to accept their feelings and move forward, or will fear be the one barrier they both stumble at?
This is a romance with hidden agendas and dangerous dealings but as the revelations occur, it is a mystery which you will be drawn into and wanting to solve too.

Third Times a Ghost by Carrie Pulkinen a five-star read that makes a show of it. This is the third story in the Haunted ever after series but they could all be read as stand alone, they each focus on different main characters but follow a theme and previous characters do pop up now and again. Erica was so good, she really does just come across so well, I couldn’t help but like her and Gage who just made me smile, the pair together was funny and you cant help but hope they get their happy ever after, even when everything seems against them.

Second Chance a Spirit by Carrie Pulkinen a spooky five-star read. This is number two in the Haunted Ever After series, they could be read as standalone, as they do focus on different main characters, but have a running theme and characters who pop up in each other’s stories, but easily read on its own. This as always was funny and spooky with some drama thrown in for good measure. Tina and Trent are well done, they used to date but not anymore, but when Trent needs her, she comes to help. The chemistry is sparky, almost as much as the house. This is a great story and I cant wait to sink my teeth into number three.

I found it fully that the main characters where in the same business but never ran into each other. With Erica running a haunted community theater and Gage being a paranormal investigator. The story like most of Carrie Pulkinen stories was fun and entertaining. It felt light and mellow. Though those ghost showed their ugly side plenty. In the story Erica is trying to turn the tables on her failing haunted theater and hopefully with Gage help she can make that happen. Unrequited love is so hard. You have to make sure the person on the receiving end doesn’t feel like that other person is in love with their past. Then the giving person has to make sure that the other person isn’t talking to the because now they’re hot. Very slippery slope that the author cleared fabulously. Was a good read and will continue to root for this author and her amazing work

Trent Austin suddenly inherits a mansion from his recently deceased creepy, crazy uncle. He is a successful, big city lawyer and wants to sale the run-down mansion as quickly as possible. Who better to call to help him other than his ex almost girlfriend Tina Sanders. Tina Sanders is a fun going, big time, real estate agent. When she receives a call from Trent whom she dumped months ago, she is very surprised. They quickly learn there is more to the mansion than they may realize. Really enjoyed this book! This is a very entertaining story. I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series!

This Pulkinen book might be my favorite of the series so far. A beautiful mix of paranormal and romance. I’m a sucker for friends to lovers trope and this one hits all of the right notes. Throw in some crazy spectral activity and you’ve got yourself a keeper. Loved every page.

This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. This can be a stand alone book but I recommend the first book as it is just as entertaining. The plotline is a fun energetic story. It keeps you turning the pages to see what is next. The characters are fully developed and quite comical. This story is about Trent and Tina. Trent has had his uncle’s mansion given to him when he passes. Well it is not a regular mansion, it has some ghosts who live in the mansion. Trent wants to sell it and he turns to his ex-girlfriend to sell it for him. Tina broke up with Trent a few months ago and is surprised that Trent is calling her. Will Tina take the mansion to sell? Will the ghosts try to interfere with the selling of the mansion? Will Tina and Trent rekindle the flame they had for one another. I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more.

Third Time’s a Ghost is the third book in the series. Carrie Pulkinen has done an amazing job with this series. I highly recommend reading the first two books. I love how Carrie Pulkinen has taken a paranormal character and turned it into a romantic paranormal story. This story is Gage and Erica’s story. Their story started back in high school. Gage is an investigator who is having problems with dating and Erica is a psychic medium who is having issues with her theater business. There are ghosts who are making things hard for Erica. Can Gage help with Erica with her problem at the theater? Will Gage tell Erica about his feelings? Will Erica be opened to Gage’s feelings? I highly recommend this story to see if there is a happy ending for Gage and Erica.

Pulkinen is a one click author. Hands down. She has mastered paranormal romantic comedy and always does a fantastic job with character development, plenty of emotion, just the right amount of sass, and good paranormal fun. Carrie Pulkinen has a way of creating vibrant worlds that draw the reader in. I could not put this book down. The story of Allison and Logan was really exciting and a joy to read. The book included some mystry and excitement as well as love. Allison and Logan found each other and although the journey to their love had some drama, I was happy that they were able to get together. I definitely look forward to the next installment of this series.

I loved reading the book Third Time’s a Ghost (Haunted Ever After Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is a story that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved the characters of Gage Dawson and Erica Miller. They are well-developed characters that I enjoyed. I loved the bantering back and forth between all of the characters. The author does an amazing job of making the storyline and the characters come alive. This is a comedy with a ghostly plot. I enjoyed that characters from other books in the series are in this one as well. This story had me laughing and turning pages to find out what happens next. Don’t miss out on the next exciting and entertaining book in this series. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved the book Second Chance Spirit (Haunted Ever After Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved the characters Trent Austin and Tina Sanders. Tina is intelligent, independent, and very attracted to Trent. Trent is intelligent and can get any woman he wants. He is attracted to Tina. What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. I loved that the characters from the first book are brought forward to this one. I also loved the bantering back and forth between the characters. The author does an amazing job of making the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on a romantic, exciting, and entertaining book. I highly recommend it.

I found this fun paranormal romance enjoyable and engaging with great characters and an intriguing storyline. Psychic Medium Allison Gray is scared of ghosts following a traumatic incident in her past. Unfortunately Empath Logan Mitchell is being haunted by a ghost who is making him crazy. Logan’s psychic gift of reading people’s emotions has helped him in the business world however, his gift along with being haunted means that Logan has given up on having a normal life. Then he meets Allison and if only she could overcome her fear of ghosts and especially the one haunting Logan then she could be the one to help him. This story is a romance with a paranormal twist. I loved Allison and Logan and found myself immersed in their story. The chemistry between the characters really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. The story flowed well making it an easy read and the plot kept me hooked from start to finish. I look forward to reading future books in this new series by Carrie Pulkinen.

Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the third book in the Haunted Ever After series. This is a highly entertaining, fantastically written series the just keeps getting better and better. I loved the two main characters in this book. I felt like they had such a strong connection right from the word go. This could be because they started as friends or it could just be that they had that instant connection. You could really feel the chemistry between them. The story was brilliant as always. It is always so exciting to read one of this authors books because it is not only fun and amusing but it has a depth to it that I don’t think you normally get from books like this. I was drawn into this story and could not put the book down until I had finished it. Another amazing book by this incredible author.

Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the first book in the Haunted Ever After series. I was excited to grab this new series by Pulkinen. She always has a lighthearted but fun, romantic story on my TBR pile. This story did not disappoint. Set in Detroit we are introduced to psychic Allison. She is recovering from a bad run-in with a ghost and not much better luck in the dating department. Is the ghost at Logan’s going to change all of that? The characters are fun to read and there is a HEA. This was a fantastic read to get away from the world and relax. I am looking forward to where the series will go and what other ghostly problems will occur.

This is my first book read by this author, and it will not be my last. Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1) has a cute, simple plot line. This is a fun, paranormal, romance story that is very intriguing to say the least. The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Allison Gray is an intelligent, talented, medium, who uses her gifts to help others. Not long after she was hurt by a former boyfriend, a ghost hunt goes wrong. She has sworn off from any more ghost busting jobs with her team. She leads a quiet boring, safe life, working with her gifts, out of an office in an antique shop. Her best friend invites her to tag along to a party hosted by new in town Logan Mitchell. Logan Mitchell is like her in so many ways, one is he is not looking for a relationship. He just wants to live a normal life. He has bought a house that turns out to be haunted. As things progress with this ghost, he decides to call in help to rid his house of this hostile ghost. The team he calls upon, asks Allison for help. Will she be able to help the ghost crossover? Will his life return to normal? This was a very enjoyable start to the series. So eager to read the next book!

Trent is a high powered lawyer who inherits a house from his uncle. He was quite surprised because he was never close to him and his uncle was kind of crazy. After visiting the place, he decided to put it up for sale. It looked and felt like a real haunted house. Wanting a quick sale, he called the best real estate agent in town. Tina was a little surprised that Trent called her. She hadn’t spoken to him since she dumped him. She left him hanging not because she didn’t like him but because she liked him too much. Putting her feelings aside, she decided to remain professional. Inexplicably they both feel a connection to the house but there is something evil that lurks within. Can they both survive to have their happily ever after?
This is the second book in the series. It is Trent and Tina’s story whom we met in the first book. Although this is part two, it can be read as a stand-alone. The book is full of love and danger. The story is well written and the characters bring it to life. This is a fun and enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to part three.

Straight off we are launched into the sucky situation of Allison (our main protagonist) having to attend a party for a rich and powerful someone who recently brought the massive mansion the party is taking place in, from her friend Tina. Allison doesn’t like the parties, mainly for the vapid and money-hungry guests but also because she can feel all emotions and she knows just how fake all the people around her are. If I’m being entirely honest – and this is nothing against Pulkinen because I have read some of her other stuff and I have always found it witty and relatable – but I really struggled with this book, especially the whole empath thing. I get that it is a fantasy and I’m all for that, but to say that a room full of people only had money and sex on their minds just is daft. Even people who like all the swanky stuff and a good roll in the hay, have more on their minds than that, and I thought that a character who is a supernatural being like an empath would be aware of this and understand this. By all means, say that she couldn’t stand the party because all the emotions were just too much, but to say that everyone in there wasn’t worth her time except for Logan felt a little harsh. Anywho just my personal opinion, moving swiftly on. While at this party she locks eyes with Logan, the hunky handsome bit of man that, in spite of his seemingly knee-deep-in-willing-women lifestyle is sad and lonely and Allison senses this, and instantly runs away from it. After being hurt and spurned before she doesn’t want to go through that hurt again so a relationship is just not an option, especially with someone like Logan, who can dip and dash with the best of them. Whilst making her Cinderella-esque escape (minus the dance with prince charming and the loss of a slipper) she happens upon a crying woman and tries to comfort her. It is only after the woman disappears and she is flooded with overwhelming emotions that she realises that she has seen a ghost. After several turns and twists of fate, Allison and Logan find themselves drawn together against either of their better judgments, their connection and spark undeniable. I will say that I thought their relationship happened a little quickly, but then again I think that of most romances that are similar to this, and considering that this is a book about ghosts and empaths, I don’t think I should nit-pick about the speed of their relationship being unbelievable. I will say though that Pulkinen has a way of writing characters that makes them feel down-to-earth and relatable. Apart from my earlier issues with the whole party-thing, I found the characters likable and funny. Pulkinen really does do funny well and I really liked how she handled mental health in this. She managed to do it respectfully and with care, without losing the light-heartedness that made the book such a joy to read. I really do recommend Pulkinen and if you like this then you will definitely like License to Bite, that book is funny and steamy and just a delight to read.
