Firstly, I need to say that this book was just as good if not better than the second book! Hawks story has stuck with me and had me so entranced that I forgot I was reading a book and was not standing right there!! Eli and Livs story were one that I was not expecting to have as big of an impact on me as it did. I thought the first book was breath taking but this author knows how to write amazing stories one after the other! I love MC romance novels and this series is spectacular! I cannot wait to read more books by this talented author!!

Agin the cover art …. I just wanted to reach out and hold on so tight and snuggle into that chest …..

Now I get where Eli ( Hawk ) is coming from with the questions he’s got , I mean he was born into to this safe bubble albeit it dangerous, but it’s like a world on its own with its own rules and they don’t really know life out of it and the decision he makes is life altering and doesn’t just affect him but his unborn child and wife a well ….

Liv and Hawk have been one since the beginning of time and I can’t see them separate but things take a strange turn and Liv is loyal and it couldn’t be easy for her , just shows you the power of love ❤️ but at the same time something is ailing Hawk and isn’t well … trouble calls and Liv knows who really has their best interests at heart and calls on the brothers of Satan to help ….

These bikers come across as big , burly and dangerous and trust me they are but underneath that they have massive hearts and when Joker and Hawk have a heart to heart I actually had to stop reading and just breath …,,

Despite what went down when one of them is down the whole family gets together and fights the battle this was a hard and beautiful read for me ….

This is a such a beautiful tugs on the heart strings love. Hawk and Liv were meant to be together. They fell in love when they were young children and were one was, the other was always close by. They just got married and are expecting their first child together when it all starts to fall apart. Hawk loses his way and can’t seem to pull him self out of the hole that he suddenly finds his self in. Live is always there offering her support the best way that she can even though he definitely doesn’t make it easy. The MC steps forward to help him through this tough time when tragedy hits. Now Hawk has to claw his way back up to his former self in order to save his family. This is an incredibly emotional story that will draw you right in from the very first page. You definitely won’t want to miss it.

Wow this book hit me right in the heart and hit very close to home for me. This authors writing talent is truly incredible! She addresses Mental Health and the importance being able to accept help in such a heartfelt way. She presents how powerful a family can be, blood or made, in a persons life.

Olivia and Eli have been together basically since birth! Put together in the crib it was the start of a fated bond for sure. Eli is now Hawk, VP of the Satan’s Devils but is it what he was supposed to be in life. Was it his choice or was it what those around him chose for him. He blindsides Olivia by leaving the MC and choosing a civilian life for them. She loves her husband so tries to support him but as weeks go by it is extremely obvious that there is so much more going on with Eli.
After a breakdown it becomes known to all that Eli has been dealing with so much more than anyone realised. Together they will get Eli through this and help Olivia as she approaches the birth of their first child but an old club enemy has other ideas!

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is beautiful and redeeming at the same time. It is the story of Hawk (Eli) and Olivia. Suffering from feelings of being down and just feeling “off”, Hawk decides to walk away from the club (to the shock of Drummer, his father, and Wraith, his father-in-law). This sets off a tremendous series of events that will have Eli and Olivia questioning what they are doing. On top of this, the archangel saga continues. From page 1, you are sucked right into the story. The action, the chemistry between the couples, the brother’s relationships and the sense of community/family just all pull this book into one cohesive tale. The different POV’s keep the story fresh and interesting. You just can’t put the book down (I couldn’t). I had to know what happened next. This author will often write about an important topic in her books. This book included the topic of depression and missing the signs and how to help. This is important information that can help others. Thank you for including that. You may always help that one reader who may just need it. Excellent book. Action, steamy romance, and so much more. I highly recommend you read it.

Hawk’s Cry : Satan’s Devils MC (Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story for those over 18 as it deals with adult content and possible triggers.

Hawk is the VP of the Satan’s Devils MC mother chapter and he is in love with a beautiful woman who he has known all his life, he is married to her and has their first child on the way, he is the son of the old Prez and is following in his footsteps by living and breathing the MC life, but it is not the life he wants anymore and he wants out, but it is only when one of the other members comes to find him and find out what is wrong that he opens up and says what has been on his mind, they can’t understand it though and end up storming away in disbelief and leaving him to his thoughts and what he is going to tell his wife. As he approaches her, she knows something is off and has known for a while, but she is astonished when he tells her about his decision and then heads off to the weeks meeting with the other members before they have time to properly talk about it, but as he enters the room, he realises that his talk wasn’t as in confidence as he thought and that he has told the other member, so as he goes through the motions of the meeting, he is hoping it is over soon so that he can find out the ramifications of his decision.

As most of the members leave the room, they are told to stay close as they might end up being needed again and this is when the discussion about Hawk’s choice is brought up and nobody likes it one but it is unprecedented and nobody is really sure of how to proceed, but nevertheless, the conversation starts. As Hawk is trying to explain his decision, he is struggling to find the words he needs ro explain himself, so he just outright states he wants to leave the club, the compound and this life, but that he wants to take his wife with him, as expected, tempers fray and emotions are running high, but reality starts to hit as his options are laid on the table. This is when the other members are invited back in and the cards are laid on the table as they each take a vote, the decision ends up being a close call, but a beatdown and immediate expulsion are chosen, the next thing he knows, he is being escorted to the storeroom and after his dad takes the first hit, he sees him leave while the other members show him exactly what they think of the situation. As he regains consciousness, he is on the floor, in a world of pain and his house is being packed up around him as his wife cries, they are then taken to another place to live until they can find their own feet, he hadn’t realised how hard this would be on his wife, especially when their mums have to explain what decision was made and what the other option was.

As he has now left the club, he has to give up his road name as well and live life as Eli, but as he and Amy try and settle into a new life, he is unable to do anything while he heals and his moods deteriorate and he starts to spiral even more, Amy has no idea how to handle his distance and what to do about it as it is all new to her, but she ends up making a friend, albeit a male one, but one day things take a turn for the worse for both Eli and Amy when one feels unable to cope and the other has no idea how bad things have gotten. What will happen to the not so happy couple when the truth is revealed and things out of their control start to happen around them? This is a romance with a dark undercurrent which sweeps you along as you watch events unfurl and see the decisions which have to be made and the consequences of the actions which follow.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hawk’s Cry is the second novel in the Satan’s Devils MC (Second Generation) series by Manda Mellett. This book really blew me away. It is my fourth or fifth novel as part of these interconnected MC series by this author and this one blew me away. I was hooked right from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down.

Hawk is Wizard’s VP in the Tucson chapter of the Satan’s Devils. He has followed in his father’s footsteps his whole life, but what if that isnt what he wants anymore?

Olivia is the ex-VP, Wraith’s, daughter, and like Hawk grew up on the compound. She is pregnant, newly married and ready to start her life at the compound. When everything she knows is ripped away will she be able to handle it?

The emotions in this novel were so intense! I absolutely loved that it touched on a very real topic that is getting more and more awareness in the real world everyday. Wonderful book and I cannot wait for the next one!

I’m a sucker for MC books. This one really touched me though, and I found myself blinking through tears more than once. Struggling with life is so relatable, and poor Eli was definitely struggling. I think a lot of people have a hard time being vulnerable and open with mental health, and I feel like it’s especially an issue amongst men. Feeling they need to be strong and resilient, unable or unwilling to communicate the hard inner dialogue. This story really encapsulated that. And I absolutely loved Liv and her continued fight through it all. Such a good read, I can’t wait to start the next Satan’s Devils story!

Wow! What an emotional roller coaster! Hawk’s Cry is book number 2 in the Satan’s Devils MC – Next Generation Series by Manda Mellett. Eli aka Hawk is the Vice President of the Satan’s Devils Motorcycle Club. Olivia aka Ollie or Liv (only used by Eli) is Hawks wife. They have been brought up by birth together, so it was only inevitable that they were to get married. Though they were somewhat pushed together, this is definitely true love. That is until Hawk has some serious doubts about his life with the club and with his wife. Then with the blink of an eye…No club, No family and No Friends. What happens when all you’ve known is club life and it’s all been taken away and you finally become a citizen? This book shows a woman who fights for her baby, her marriage and her life. It also shows a man who struggles with a disease and is shown full blown support. With that support he starts the road to recovery. This book has lots of twists and turns that no one is expecting. Like I said before, this story is an emotional roller coaster that leads to a very happy ending. It is book number 2 but you can read as a standalone, which I always say don’t do. I haven’t read such a great story in such a long time!

This book drew me in from the beginning and kept a hold of me throughout. I have loved every book I have ever read by this author so I knew it would be good but this one exceeded my expectations. I love the writing style of Manda Mellett, she writes such emotive stories. Hawk and Liv’s story takes an unexpected turn when Hawk decides that what he thought he wanted all his life, he longer wants. Liv is feeling like maybe some of his feelings are her fault. There is so much emotion and it’s very relatable as well. As always I love all the characters in this book, the close knit family that the club is. I cannot say enough good things about this book. This is a must read and I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book.

I love Manda Mellett’s ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series and so was looking forward to reading this novel in her new series about the ‘Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation’. Hawk is surrounded by family both blood and club, he was literally born into the club and as VP for the Satan’s Devils MC he is an integral member of the club. Hawk is also recently married to his best friend turned lover, Olivia and they are expecting a baby in six months times, so he should be happy but he’s not. Hawk is questioning his life as everything he thought he wanted in life has become what he least wants, a“What do you do when you’re consumed with the thought there’s something out there that’s better?” Hawks dilemma is whether to leave his club, however his club brothers are not going to let him go easily and what about his wife and unborn baby.
I literally went on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this novel, I really felt for Hawk who was obviously dealing with depression, and I felt Mellett handled this with sensitivity and honesty, but I also felt for his pregnant wife Olivia. I fell in love with the Satan’s Devils even more reading this story, and I look forward to reading future books by Manda Mellett.

I have read her other Satan Devils books and loved them. Although I didn’t read the first book in the Second Generation, it didn’t matter. Each one can be read as a stand-alone. This book had my emotions all over the place. My heart went out to Hawk and Olivia. Hawk is going through something and instead of talking to someone, especially his wife, he makes some drastic decisions which not only affect him but also other people as well. Their lives are turned upside down. Be careful what you wish for. Hawk wished and he got what he wanted, only to realize that it’s not as he thought it would be. Hitting rock bottom showed him that he’s not alone. The author did an excellent job in showing what people with Hawk’s condition go through. This book will pull you in and keep you riveted until the very end.

Satan’s Devils are back again and better then ever. Hawk and Olivia have known each other since they were babies. They were close then became involved. There was distance and now they are together. I love the characters in this story. I love reading about them. The book kept me entertained and found myself reading one more chapter to see what happens.
It’s an emotionally challenging read. A lot happens and you will find yourself dying to see what will happen next.
I thought this book was a great read and look forward to more in this series. You definitely want to read this and once you do, I think you will enjoy this book as much as I did. What will happen when Hawk makes a big decision? Will Hawk and Liv be able to be happy or will something get in the way? Such a great read!

If you are a fan of stories about Motorcycle Clubs, Hawk’s Cry, Satan’s Devils MC – Next Generation Book #2, by Manda Mellet will not disappoint. There is of course, what you would expect from a motorcycle club, adult language, rough men, tough women, and detailed action. But, the deeper story here is the most compelling thing about this book. It’s a story about losing yourself and how slowly that sneaks up on you, until you’re so deep in the hole you can’t get out. As quietly as it sneaks up on you, sometimes even the ones we love don’t see it coming either. Eli is so lost he doesn’t have the slightest clue how to find himself. Don’t just surface read this one, this book deserves more than that.

Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellet was a great continuation of the second generation of the Satan’s Devils MC series! As I haven’t read the first generation yet, some of the characters are hard to tell apart, but since I did read the first book in the second generation, it wasn’t so bad telling the characters apart this time. Very well written and descriptive, I related a lot to this novel. The way Hawk (aka Eli) feels throughout the novel is the way I would imagine a lot of young adults would feel in his place. The emotions were very relatable to me. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read the next one in this series!

This is practically a coming of age story. Just the kind I love and Manda Mellett makes it that much better. When I read books like this, I can’t help but to love the journey the characters take along the depths of their time. The tests and experiences in life as in this builds character and endures our love. This is a beautifully written book that is a must-read!
You would think Eli has it all being the vice president of the biker club, “Satan’s Devils.” Eli AKA Hawk is married to the love of his life, his ride or die, and she’s expecting his child in six months.
Hawk is surrounded by family (relatives and the support of his friends) in the club but he’s straddling the fence of things could be better but how? He has more than any man can ask for yet he hungers for something else. What do you do and where do you go to find the answer? Will he risk it all to find out?

Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read. I was excited to read the next book in the series. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

This is Hawk and Olivia’s story, they are preparing for their new baby. Hawk wants to get out of the MC life but it’s not as easy as it sounds. He keeps it all built up inside and increases his anxiety which causes distance between him and Olivia. Olivia is trying to figure out why Hawk is pushing her away. Things get even more interesting when there is a scary twist that involves Olivia.

How will everything turn out for Hawk and Olivia?

Overall this was a great read. This was a very emotional rollercoaster of a read, I was exhausted by the time I finished. It was great seeing all the MC members again, they are such a great family that watches out for their own. I’m loving this series and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Hawk and Olivia have had so much happen to them over the last few months. Most of it good, but then they get blindsided by something nobody could have ever anticipated.

Olivia is a rock and she showed that time and time again throughout this story. She showed the depth of her love for Hawk as well as an inner strength that I wouldn’t have expected from her.

I really wanted to pop Hawk in the head a few times, but as the story went on and things started to make sense I decided get needed hugs instead.

I’m so hooked on this series. I love how we are able to keep up with the couples from the previous books and try to figure out which one of the Devil’s is going down next.

Hawk’ Cry is the second book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. Oh my goodness! I have read the original series and Colorado Chapter spin off but when I finished the first book in the Second Generation series I know that she has stepped up with these stories of the kids of the original MC members! What makes the second generation series even more special is that we get the old timers, pardon me, the original MC family and then we see the kids all grown up with their challenges and lives and …
Hawk’s Cry gives us Eli “Hawk” and Olivia who are MC brats themselves, are waiting the birth of their first child with the rest of the MC family. You would think that in general it is the time of joy and happiness but Hawk’s Cry gives us doubts and heartbreak and feeling like you cannot breath anymore and the world is closing in on you … oh my, we are left emotionally battered once we finish the story … I love how Manda is not afraid to address sensitive issues. I am sure when you picture a VP of a MC, you think of an alpha male and then the writer brings in the question of the mental health and how men deal with it and … Kudos to you dear Manda and I cannot wait for the next one in the series!

Oh my goodness am I enjoying this second generation series, this was a genius idea and of course this author makes it all fresh and new just like every other book she comes out with. I will say though that this just about broke me…I was ready to smash my kindle before I was out of the 1st chapter, you talk about an emotional roller coaster this was it! I feel so attached to ALL of these people and I’ve got the whole compound pictured in my head and I just can’t say enough about how much I love the Satan’s Devils, all chapters but this one holds a special place in my heart.

I never want any of this to end, I don’t care which way she goes, what new cities she chooses to stick a chapter, I seriously never want it to end. The snippet at the end of this one tells me we are headed to San Diego…Bring it on!! I can’t wait though to come back to the second generation, I need to see how the future has played out for Hawk and Liv.

If you want to get lost in one of the best MC series ever then start at the very beginning with Turning Wheels and dive in…You will not be sorry I promise, this author makes everything feel so real and transports you directly into the stories she writes!!

This book really gets you totally and utterly emotionally invested in the storyline and also characters you have read about from previous going through things that you never expect. Each time I think Manda Mellett can’t make these series better, she goes and makes them better and better!

This book literally pulls you apart at the seams it covers topics that are heart-wrenching but the author writes it beautifully and with sensitivity. This book gives you realness, drama, high emotions, suspense, friends and family that have your back no matter what, it’s raw and even with all of this happening I absolutely loved this read!

5 stars!

As always Manda Mellett delivers another fantastic story. I am always left wondering how the next book can top the previous but I am always left speechless. This book made me feel so many emotions, my heart broke so much, but was of course repaired in the end. Manda Mellett always has a way of making my heart ache and then bringing me joy again.
I was really concerned for Hawk, many people out there do deal with depression, and do stop their lives to wonder what they are doing, and where they will go from here on out. In the other books we can see that Hawk is in love with his wife Liv and is ecstatic that he will soon be a father, but he starts to doubt himself, his life’s work, everything he has ever known. The pain Liv has to endure trying to help Hawk as much as she can, and standing by his side through it all was beautiful and sad all at once. The twists that are thrown into this book, as well as the content are fantastically written, the characters are epic and have been since the beginning. I would highly recommend this book, and the whole series to any motorcycle club romance lover.

Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Sara Oxton

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett a five-star read that is worth your tears. This is number two in the Satan’s Devils MC Second generation series, I have read the first generation and am now going back to read the second generation and they have just built into an amazing picture, You could pick up the second generation but I have loved them all and really do think I benefited from reading them all. I love the way Manda Mellett has with words, she will drag you into the lives of these characters kicking and screaming if needed. Hawk is a troubled man and he has his reasons for what he is thinking and I am not going to go into detail as the author does a great job of revealing the story and I am not going to spoil the drama. All I will say is that this is sublime, and done so well, I sobbed buckets during this one, as my dad went through this and he didn’t have anyone like the Devils, and I was so happy that the Devils stepped up for each other even though it’s a story it still shows us the darkness. Now get reading as you will miss this amazing story.

Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jenni Bishop

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hawk’s Cry: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellett is a MC contemporary romance story. I really enjoy all the Satan’s Devils books in the numerous series Manda has going and the characters. They feel like family. Hawk’s Cry is the next generation from the original series where the FOG’s are stepping down and their children are taking over. Hawk’s story hit me harder than the others due to the nature of the subject as I have suffered from depression and PTSD, so it was a very emotional read for me, but it is a great story. It did take me a while to settle into but as things came to light it made much more sense. There were times I had to step away and take a break as I was riddled with emotions and my heart was breaking. As with all Manda’s books I suggest you read them in order because they all intertwine, and you will be missing out on the characters and their relationships back stories.

Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Heather Lovelace

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can’t ever fathom how Mellett will top herself. And somehow she always does. She always writes an amazing story with deep characters, and a plot full of raw emotion. This latest book absolutely continues this tradition. Time and again I swear I will buy stock in Kleenex before I pick up another Mellett novel. And I never do. But I always have a box on standby. This book left me wrecked in an impossibly beautiful way.
