Sharing His Nanny (Forever Our Girl Book 2) by Tori Chase – Review by Heather Hoke

Sharing His Nanny (Forever Our Girl, #2)Sharing His Nanny by Tori Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have never read Tori Chase before. And I was hooked from the first page. I really love when an author has a good story to tell and gives you the proper amount of back story so that you aren’t left guessing about parts that you shouldn’t have to. Tori did just that for me! I will most definitely be picking up another read from Ms. Tori Chase!

Things are ShakingThings are Shaking by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was so adorable! I read it to my 1 year old daughter. She really enjoyed the colorful pictures!
The storyline was a bit odd. I thought I was reading about 2 invisible magic wands but I think I was really reading about an earthquake? I was confused.
Regardless the book was entertaining.

I love Amaleigha books!
You can guarantee you will always get a pure story with one!
I don’t know that I would say small children are a good target for this one.
But the message behind this book is so beautiful. I really enjoyed reading it!

If I Had a Magic Wand by Melissa Lavi – Review by Heather Hoke

If I had a Magic WandIf I had a Magic Wand by Melissa Lavi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! B-E-A-UUUUUUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
This book hits me right in the mommy heart! I love how it pretty much says it all with hopes of how we all want our babies to be!

I also love the illustrations throughout the book! It shows us that even though parenting can be different standpoints we all want the absolute best for our babies. It doesn’t matter if you are black, white, purple, green, or even pink. It doesn’t matter if you are a single dad, single mom, or the Brady bunch. Wanting your child to be kind is the same from us all.

I would 1000000% give this book a 100 stars. 5 is just not enough!
I read this digital on my kindle, but I am going right now to order it in a hard copy so I can read it over and over to my babies!

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Heather Hoke

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a very sweet story. I am a complete suckered for a 2nd chance romance. KG hit me right in the feels with this one. Ted is an admirable character right from the start! He took the fault for a crime he didn’t commit. And never once made anyone feel bad that he did. Robyn seemed like a very sweet natured woman that loved Ted more than she deserved.
I really enjoyed this book so so much.

Deep.
So I am not the kind of person who is able to describe my feelings well. I truly feel like Lily reached down in my soul, and pulled it all out and gave it words!
I will be reading this again. This book is one that you will get something new out of it everytime you read.

This book teaches a very good lesson. It really points out that you have to look at things from another’s point of view sometimes. Life isn’t always fair but if you can be fair you should. The Queen knew she wasn’t being fair and did what she could to right her wrong. Hats off to Lois for this one!

You always hear anything after the first isn’t as good as the original. Honestly that isn’t the case here. Entering into year two it just feels like the story is picking up where it left off. The way that Makayla has grown up makes you feel like you are actively in her life to witness it. I cannot wait for the next book!

This book put me in mind of harry potter (which I looooove harry potter) and then in the very next page it put me in mind of divergent (again one of my favorite series). The way that C.A. writes truly drew me in from the very first page. The way that Makayla is portrayed as the main character is on point the entire book! I will definitely be reading the next book! I already have it in my library for kindle!

Wowwwwwwwwy WHAT A BOOK!!!!!
This is such a fast paced book. But I loved it! I couldn’t put it down. I read it in just a few hours! Kate and Tilly are characters that have the best personas. I definitely don’t want to spoil this one for anyone. However I will say I didn’t read the first book in the series but I was able to catch up quickly. I will be getting my hands on the first book very soon!

Hungry Business: A Gothic Story about the Horrors of Dating by Maria DeBlassie – Review by Heather Hoke

Hungry BusinessHungry Business by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First word that comes to mind?
Odd.
This book was very unusual. It took me a couple minutes to really catch on. But once I somewhat figured it out, I really liked it.
If I could ask one thing of Maria, it would be to give a tad more detail in the beginning so that we can be on the same wave length as her from the start.
Overall, it was good. Short little story. Even with the small amount of detail we are provided. I felt I could still understand the main character’s emotions.

I really liked this book. However I really feel like it should be read with the rest of the series. It wasn’t terrible read as a standalone. But if I could go back and make the choice again I would read the other 3 first.
The way that Theresa tells a story, makes you feel like you are part of it. I truly felt like I participated in every single word!
I will definitely read more of her books!

I really liked the “flow” of his words. I only slightly got the “trippy hippy” vibe. For the most part I was able to just run with his words. It was like bouncing on a cloud.

Applause for Ms.Leslie. She definitely has a way with words. The way she is so descriptive makes me feel like I can smell the flower.
When the book opens you can immediately feel the dominant temperament of Dominik. The way he takes control but then melts is amazing.

Enemies of Doves by Shanessa Gluhm – Review by Heather Hoke

Enemies of DovesEnemies of Doves by Shanessa Gluhm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To say that Shanessa Glumh killed it with this one would be an understatement by far!

The way the story line is written keeps your attention the entire time. One minute you are in the present (1991), and the next you are in the past! Throughout the book you have three different “mysteries” you are trying to get to the bottom of. But they interweave with one another, so you never get lost.

In my opinion the most intriguing thing was how Joel stayed so silent. He had so much he could have said. Yet, he didn’t.

I definitely look forward to reading more from Shanessa Gluhm.
