Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Heather Lovelace

Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1)Wrath by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Intense. Thrilling. Action-packed and emotional. Good grief…I think I only just picked my jaw up from the ground and relaxed my grip from the white knuckled ride I just endured. McNamee is a brilliant author that continues to surprise and delight me with every book I am blessed to read from her. Truthfully just an intense and emotionally raw journey that felt much larger than the number of pages of the book. Masterful, powerful, worthy of a second and third reading as quickly as possible. Just loved it.

Dark. Intense. A beautifully written suspense that absolutely must be read in series order. McNamee is a masterful storyteller hat has a gift with the words put to paper. She weaves a story so complete that you are immediately transported to walk along side the characters and relate immediately to their wants and needs. McNamee is proving to be a must read author and this latest release is no exception.

Spouse Trap: A Madeline Dawkins Mystery (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Heather Lovelace

Spouse Trap (Madeline Dawkins, #1)Spouse Trap by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a riveting piece of literature!!! My only regret is that I hadn’t heard of this book and read it sooner! The author does a beautiful job weaving a spellbinding tale of intrigue, suspense, and a plethora of emotions that will exhaust and excite. This prequel does a fantastic job establishing the back story of the protagonist. And it whets my whistle to dive into the series immediately. Highly recommended!

Trickster’s Hunt (Three Tricksters Book 1) by Carrie Whitethorne – Review by Heather Lovelace

Trickster's Hunt (Three Tricksters #1)Trickster’s Hunt by Carrie Whitethorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was intrigued by the synopsis and am so glad I picked this book up. It sounded like one I would enjoy and I was right. It wasn’t predictable at all. Our female lead, Maia, was such a fun character. She felt very tangible and relatable. And the three djinn… well, they just made everything even more interesting. Overall this book was even more enjoyable than I expected and just a fun diversion. I cannot wait to pick up the rest of the series and see what happens next.

This book about Kelly and Kirk had “all the feels” for me. Hands down, I was immediately invested in what happened to the main characters and found myself engrossed in every page. I simply adored the quirks each character had. It was just a solid book, very well written, and very enjoyable way to pass the time.
