My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This fast paced contemporary romance kept me engaged from beginning to end. The characters felt relatable and were easy to connect to. The themes were universal and felt relevant even if I’m far removed from this high school setting. Emotional and riveting, I enjoyed the character detail and the pacing. This was a first look into works by this author and I look forward to reading more from her.

Secrets Never DieSecrets Never Die by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Somehow Lewis has snuck into my life and beat me over the head with a mallet because I don’t know how I haven’t read more of her work before now. But suffice it to say she is on my “buy it all now” list! This book was brilliant! I simply have no words to describe how much I enjoyed these pages. It has the right combination of intrigue, suspense. The main characters were well developed and complex and relatable. Even the setting was a character on its own with plenty to say.
