Scarlet Princess (Lochlann Feuds Book 1) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison – Review by Heather Lovelace

Scarlet Princess (The Lochlann Feuds, #1)Scarlet Princess by Robin D. Mahle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love a good historical fiction and especially love a heroine with spunk. And this book hit all of the right notes for me. And then to uncover this world and find that it beautifully sets up a series. My only complaint is that I don’t have the rest of this series in my hands to read this minute. Just a beautifully crafted story from two new-to-me authors. Can’t wait to read more!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

McKinley is a must read author. Period. I keep wondering how she is going to continue to up the ante. And yet somehow she does – every single freaking time. I’ve come to expect gripping romantic suspense. This foray into the world of the mafia – left me utterly breathless. From the very first chapter I knew this book would be an amazing emotional adventure. And boy was I right. Loved every single page and I cannot wait to see how this series continues.

I really enjoy the way the author crafts her stories. This is definitely written a way to be easily followed by younger readers and as such will draw them in quickly. The story kept a good pace and kept you guessing as to how things would progress. If you have a young adult in your home that enjoys mysteries this book is one i think they would enjoy.
