My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Somehow Mellett continues to build this MC universe in such a way that leaves me breathless and wanting more. These characters – wow. I could not have predicted, although I should expect this by now, to have been so immediately captivated by the storyline. This was my favorite female lead so far of the series. Just an extremely well written book with characters that come to life. Absolutely loved it!

This epic fantasy has it all! I wa a immediately drawn into this world of fae and never looked back. In fact I found myself so deeply drawn in that I was upset to have to re-emerge to reality after the last page was finished. Grand detail, imaginative characters – this story just felt so vivid and real to me. I loved every single page and am so excited to see how the series continues. My only complaint will be if I have to wait long for book two. Loved it!

Very solid book from start to finish. Lightening fast read, I was concerned that I might not completely commit to the characters with the seemingly low number of pages. But I flew quickly through the pages because I connected with Chase and Carrie. I loved reading this book and learning more about their relationship. And better yet, this is the first book in the series. I cannot wait to continue on and see what the author writes next!
