Threads of Time is the second book in the Toronto Time Agents series. This novel is suspenseful, mysterious, and has a lot historical components. The setting is descriptive and easy to imagine the places. It’s a great historical time traveling adventure! I appreciate the author including a pronunciation guide for the words that were not in English and a note that the novel is set in Toronto, Canada. Which helps the reader know that there are different spelling of some words.

Mark enjoys going on different adventures and writing articles about them. He decides to go to the Yukon to try his hand at gold mining for a rich man named Mr. White. I enjoyed this look into the history of 1897. Looking forward to more in this series!!

What a wonderful romance. I loved the chemistry of these two. It was a slo-burn. It was an easy story to engage with. The characters were relatable. I found the story quite detailed and entertaining. I find this author’s historical romances are entertaining and easy to read. They pull you in and you enjoy the reading. Another winner for this author.
The Truth About Myths is book 3 in The Winemakers Series by Giovanna Siniscalchi. In this story, we go along with Viscount Henrique as he is tasked with accompanying Princess Isabel on a trip to Spain. Isabel is Henrique’s best friend’s sister and should certainly be safe from his rakish ways, right? I really love this series. Giovanna has the ability to make even the rakish characters attractive. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Isabel and Henrique. I’m a sucker for opposites attract. This book carried all the beautiful writing and vivid detail that Giovanna’s stories are known for. I adore this series. There is plenty of passion, steaminess, and political intrigue to keep you entertained. Everything is well-balanced.

The Taste of Light is book 2 of The Winemakers Series by Giovanna Siniscalchi. In this book, we follow Pedro and Anna. These two are brought together by fate as they have to flee from false accusations from a truly vile enemy. This book is a historical romance with just as much intensity and forbidden romance as the first. The emotions and passion along with the vivid detailed writing of the author make this an engaging historical romance. The continued world-building is outstanding. The well-written plot and chemistry between Pedro and Anna will keep you hooked.

1897: A Mark Sutherland Adventure is a historical adventure with mystery, intrigue, action, suspense, and drama. The story is set in the year 1897 and centers around the character of a young reporter named Mark Sutherland who works for the Chicago Tribune. Mark is always keen to seek out a new adventure and is happy to travel anywhere in the world to find his next big story. The story starts with Mark being sent off to report on a mysterious crash in Texas that involved an unidentified flying object before being sent to cover the gold rush in the Yukon. Along the way he has plenty of ups and downs, faces some harsh conditions, and is faced with some harrowing experiences that test his strength and resolve. The author did a great job of creating a compelling read with historically accurate details, vivid scene descriptions that fully immerse you in the story, and relatable characters that you feel an instant connection to. As a huge fan of the Notebook Mysteries series, I loved the connection between Emma, the MC from the Notebook Mysteries, and Mark which made me want to read more. Another amazing book by this talented author! I cannot wait to read more of Mark Sutherland’s Adventures!

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. Her writing style is such that she pulls you into the story with ease and her attention to details give the story a realistic feel. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. A story about fulfilling a mothers urge and finding more than just a killer on the journey. I enjoyed the characters in his story. They are connectable, relatable and supportive of each other. They bring life to the story and keep your attention to the end. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as feeling their chemistry. A fast paced story that will keep you turning pages to the end. This is a great entertaining story to read. I highly recommend this book.
1897: A Mark Sutherland Adventure is a new historical fiction by Kimberly Mullins. In this story, we go on an adventure with Mark Sutherland who is investigating crashes of a “flying object”. He finds himself meeting a cast of characters and getting into some dangerous situations. The story is full of great detail and an intriguing plot. There are plenty of twists and turns that leave you hooked. The characters are engaging and I found myself wanting to go on more adventures with Mark. Kimberly Mullins does mystery and historical fiction very well. You will definitely enjoy this book.

Sweet Vengeance is the third book in the Mission Belles series by new-to-me author Pamela Gibson. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Gibson, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her books, but the blurb intrigued me enough to want to find out. So, I snapped up a copy and set off on the adventure. I didn’t realise going into this book that it was part of a series, sometimes my one-click finger takes over and it’s not till I have the book in my hands that I discover that it’s part of a series. But thankfully this can be read as a standalone. I am, however, curious about the rest of the series, so I will probably go back and read the previous two books before going on with any more of the series. The Truth About Myths is a historical enemy to lover’s romance tale and the third book in fabulous The Winemakers series. It is easy to imagine the world and time period as Giovanna writes with rich historical detail, descriptions, and world building, with such passion and in a vibrant style. This Regency romance is set in Portugal and Spain amongst the Monarchy and court politics, secrets and scheming. This beautiful love story shows the difficulties and struggles they face with their relationship. There is heartbreak, compassion and passion, tenderness, danger and tension, angst and animosity, chemistry and romance. I love that it was told in dual POV as we learned so much about these characters and especially Henrique’s rakish ways. Their journey is filled with sense of duty, patriotism, and unexpected twists and turns. The swoon worthy playboy Viscount Henrique doesn’t believe in love, and he has big dreams, but he is about to be whacked over the head with it. He is witty, charming, sexy and an unapologetic rake. It’s hard not to like him. Princess Isabel is the epitome of entitled princess. She is a determined, strong and intelligent woman who cares about doing the right thing for women and is about to find out there is much more to life. I loved their wit, banter, chemistry, and the perfect amount of push pull denial and tension as they learn more about each other. I often found myself laughing at their antics or situations they found themselves in. I recommend reading this book if you are a fan of historical romance, enemies to lovers, opposites attract forced proximity stories.

1897 A Mark Sutherland Adventure (Mark Sutherland Adventures) by Kimberly Mullins. This is such a good historical fiction read. Its the story of reporter Mark Sutherland and his desires to travel to the Yukon to cover the new gold rush. He’s in Chicago right now and he’s not sure how he will get there though. This read covers all kinds of things in the 1800’s including the oil boom in Oklahoma and a weird thing landing in Texas. We learn all about how hard life is in this time period and how so many people die. Without the comforts of what we know now life is very hard. Thinking this Gold rush will be similar to the one in California he thinks it will be somewhat easy to cover. Along the way to the Yukon he meets several people including one lady he has interest in. Romance, mystery and history are all in this book. I love this author’s writing I actually felt like I was in these places and time period while I was reading. Great Historical mystery!

When Elena sees Sean again, she remembers that it was HIS name mentioned by her dying brother. Does she have the wherewithall to carry out the request she promised or will she cave to Sean’s gorgeous looks?
This was a good read that included a historical background. The storyline kept my interest. While this is part of a series, I read it as a standalone. I’m curious to read the previous books in this series as well as any to follow.

This is quite the intriguing romance novel. A historical romance set during the gold rush, it’s action packed and full of very interesting characters. Elena is seeking her brother’s killer. The question is, can she kill the man she loves? Sean is hunting for his missing sister. Can he trust Elena to help him? Not normally a historical reader of any kind, I found this author’s writing to be quite enjoyable. Her writing is engaging and makes you feel like you are part of the story. This is truly an important piece when you are reading. For me, it’s the make or break for a book. This is a must read.
Sweet Vengeance is the third book in the historical Mission Belles series. I read this book before I knew there were two books before it, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out. However, I do encourage you to start with the first book Shadow of the Fox. I will be going back to see what I missed.
This is my first time reading this authors work. I am not usually a fan of historical romance, but Pamela’s writing style is compelling, and the story intriguing and I was not disappointed.
Set in the gold rush period in San Francisco this page turning plot driven story is action-packed with plenty of plot twists that it will leave readers wanting more.

As he embarks on this adventure, he meets more friends along the way, each one with their own reason to travel to Yukon. There is romance, adventure, a lot of historic information and the adrenaline pumping to see what happens when we witness the gold rush. Overall a very enjoyable read.

There’s a lot going on in this story. Murder, mystery, chemistry and so much more. The Earl, Her Reluctant Guardian was pretty decent. It started off slow and all over the place to me, but as it progressed things started to come together. Told from the point of view of the two main characters gave the story a little more. I enjoyed how the author made it work wonderfully. Vanessa returns home to find out there’s a lot more people in her house than expected. With an overbearing man who insists on her making her debut this coming season. She had no intentions of finding a husband and she’s struggling with control to take her home back. Everyone keeps making her feel insignificant, especially Lord Danville. At the same time despite the constant disputes, he makes her feel something she’s not familiar with. What will happen? Will she win her argument? Will they address the chemistry? Lord Danville just doesn’t have enough hours in the day to address everything on his plate. An unknown psycho on the loose, a ward he needs to guide in the right direction, as well as trying to bring a new guy into the loop of what he does in the war room. However despite his job Vanessa’s care is starting to become more than he can handle. At the same time is that really the problem? He has feelings for her, and feels if he can find her a good husband he can let it go. His job is starting to cross over into territory he didn’t expect. He needs to keep his family and his ward safe. Will he succeed? Will they find this unknown psycho? Will he give Vanessa some breathing room or is her life in danger because of him? All those questions and so many more will come to mind and be answered as you navigate this story. Historical fiction isn’t typically my thing, doesn’t mean I don’t like it. This book I enjoyed! I think you should enjoy it too!!
I have loved everything I have read from this author! This book did not disappoint in its historical avenue. If you have read the Notebook Mysteries Series then you will recognize that Mark is someone Emma and the team has helped. That’s actually what drew me to this story. The fact those characters are branching out into their own adventures!
Mark is a reporter for the local paper and is always up to travel and keep writing. The Alien Crash in 1897 is the first stop on his adventure. Ultimately Mark finds himself traveling to the Yukon for the Gold! The accuracy of these stories is so great and the way its written makes you feel like you’re part of the story.
Mark of course has his challenges once there but not without surrounding himself with family/friends that will take care of him when he needs it. This story has some sad character stories within it but the happiness that comes out and wins is so great.

This is another great historical mystery from Kimberly Mullins. I have loved all the Notebook mystery series and was so excited to see another book from this author. The attention to detail that is placed in this story really brings the time period to life and transports the reader to that time and place making it a really engaging and immersive read. The author also does an amazing job with the characters making them all unique and believable you can actually imagine them living the lives she portrays in the stories.
In this story we are with Mark Sutherland. He is a journalist for a newspaper but he loves adventures and hates being stuck in one place. When he gets a job reporting on a supposed flying machine crash it is only the start of his adventures as he makes his way to Yukon on his quest for a story on the gold rush. But this is a story that isn’t straight forward. It is full of twists and turns as Mark meets new people, some of them friends, some of them enemy’s and as he continues to investigate the story’s he finds it also leads him to discover things people would rather be kept secret.
This story is a historical mystery that is full of twists and turns you never know what to expect or what Mark will stumble across next. There is danger and excitement around every corner as well as friendships along the way. This author creates an amazing multi layer story which will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I was gripped from beginning to end.

An enjoyable and entertaining historical adventure set in 1897, just on the cusp of the 20th Century. We are introduced to a intrepid reporter for the Chicago Tribune, Mark Sutherland, who lives an adventurous life travelling and reporting on the odd and inexplicable and anything new and novel. Mark wants to go to Yukon and witness the gold rush, having read all about the 1849 California gold rush. However, he’s not the only one with gold rush fever, and as he travels to Yukon he meets new friends along the way, all of whom have their own reasons for undertaking the journey. As he makes his way north, Mark encounters many adventures and there is even some romance. This was a real page turner which kept me hooked throughout. The descriptive narrative brought both the characters and the setting to life, making me feel immersed in the story. The added historical details also transported me back in time, and I felt that I was travelling alongside Mark and experiences the gold rush firsthand. I look forward to going on another adventure with Mark Sutherland soon!

I am a huge fan of this author and have read every single installment of her Notebook Mysteries series. I had very high expectations for this book before picking it up, and I am excited to report that it DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. Mark Sutherland’s adventures as a reporter in the late 1800s are captivating and intriguing, and the author’s talent for capturing and describing the given time period is evident. This is an excellent read for history buffs, as well as mystery chasers, and will absorb you from start to finish. What added an even deeper appreciation for me was the connection to the main character in the Notebook Mysteries series, Emma. This book can be read by itself, though, so if you have not yet indulged in that series, no worries…although, I highly recommend doing so. As with everything this author writes, if I could give it more than five stars, I totally would.

I’ve read a few books by this author now so when I saw this new release from her I was really excited to start reading and it was as I expected a really great read. It was entertaining from beginning to end and the authors wonderful descriptive writing felt like I was right there in year 1897! The genre isn’t my usual but I really like the historical accuracy that the author uses in her writing, you can tell that she clearly researches the time periods that she sets her stories in. I really liked Mark, he was a great lead character to follow. There were some great twists and turns in the story too. I’m definitely looking to reading more from this author again!

This author has created a yet another fantastic historical romance story. I loved this book from the moment I started reading. I connected so easily with the characters and wanted to know more about them. I wasn’t quite expecting the ghost element of the story (my own fault for not reading the description!) but, surprisingly, it only added to the overall story. I have enjoyed each book I have read by this author so far and I think this one has to be my favourite. The characters are brilliant and I loved watching their relationship develop. The book was so clearly written that I could picture everything with ease. This was a well written and great story. I am already looking forward to the next book that I read by this author.

1897 A Mark Sutherland Adventure (Mark Sutherland Adventures) is a Historical Adventure that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’m a huge fan of this author and her Notebook Mysteries Series so I knew without a doubt I’d love this one as well. Her attention to detail, her vivid descriptions and wonderful characters make the story come to life. I get lost in time and can vividly picture everything she is describing. This time we follow along with Mark Sutherland who has landed the job of a lifetime as he Adventures to the Yukons to report on the Gold rush. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Its full of mystery and suspense that you don’t want to miss. I’m eagerly looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The Moon That Fell from Heaven Empire at Twilight) is a Historical story that will captivate you from the beginning all the way to the end. This author has done it yet again with her vivid yet captivating details that paints such a vivid picture in your mind that you feel like you are apart of the story. Her characters are strong, relatable and simply wonderful. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional journey of love, determination to save the kingdom and so much more. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author

The Lightning Horse is the first book in the Empire at Twilight Series. It is a historical fiction that takes place in the exotic land of Turkey during the Hittite empire. The story centers around the character of Tiwatipara who is a young Hittite charioteer. He is kind, smart, funny, loyal and a hero to many. He is reeling with grief, guilt, and sorrow over the loss of his father in a chariot accident. When Tiwatipara learns that the death of his father during a chariot accident was actually sabotage intended for the King he sets out to seek the killer. As he sets out to uncover the truth, he finds out that some friends may not be what they seem, and that political corruption is at the root of it. Danger lurks and Tiwatipara must determine who are his true friends and who are his enemies. This book was well written with historical accuracy and a great attention to detail. It had action, suspense, mystery, murder, betrayal, deceit, lies, secrets, and good versus evil.

The Singer and Her Song is the second book in the Empire at Twilight Series. It is a historical fiction That centers around the character of Uqnitum and is set in the Kingdom of Mittani. Uqnitum comes from a long line of famous singers who must find her way in the world after she finds herself a pregnant widow. When her husband and youngest child lose their lives after Mittani falls to the Assyrians the stress becomes unbearable for Uqnitum. As the pressure of life escalates for her, she becomes a danger to those around her and she must find a way to find who she is without her husband and child. Uqnitum was someone that I instantly felt a connection to and felt great empathy for. Losing her husband and child was devastating and heartbreaking. This book was beautifully written, haunting, and full of rich historical details. It has sorrow, heartbreak, loss, love, tragedy, drama, anguish, family drama, and the horrors of war.

The Queen’s Dog is Book Three in the Empire at Twilight Series. It is a historical crime mystery that centers around the character of Naheshi who is the Queen’s slave. Naheshi is a eunich who yearns for the love of the self-absorbed Queen and feels rejected when she does not love him back. Feeling scorned he spies on her and reports all of her disloyal activities in the hopes that she will get a divorce. When Naheshi learns that the Queen is set to be executed he must try to save her and free himself of the burden of his own guilt. Another well written book in this series with vivid details and historical information. This book had action, drama, betrayal, lies, deception, revenge, secrets, and love from afar.
