I really liked this book. However I really feel like it should be read with the rest of the series. It wasn’t terrible read as a standalone. But if I could go back and make the choice again I would read the other 3 first. The way that Theresa tells a story, makes you feel like you are part of it. I truly felt like I participated in every single word! I will definitely read more of her books!

This book was an absolute whirlwind. I’m not the biggest fan of Stephen, but who knows what the 5th book will bring. There is a very intense and graphic scene about 80% percent through the book, but compared to the first, it’s pretty tame. I started this book early in the morning waiting at the mechanic, and I meant to just do a little reading before bed, but before I knew it, I was sucked in and lost in the writing. I 100% recommend this book and the other books in this series!

Theresa Sederholt always knocks it out of the park, and this is no different! With the family together again in the fourth book of A Fitz Series, there is drama, romance, suspense, and murder. The flow of the story is amazing, and I continued to enjoy the different points of view throughout.
Andy is no stranger to the prejudices towards gay men, but now he also has Parkinson’s which adds an extra level of difficulty in every area of his life. His daughter, Stella, means the world to him with her strength and resilience. Helping her grow into her own path with her deafness and her deceased mother seems to present its own unique struggles, but he finds a delicate balance with the help from his family. Andy’s ex, Stephen, tries to rekindle their flame but Andy knows there is no way back to the love they once had. All too suddenly, a serial killer intent on murdering gay men changes their lives forever.
I read this in record time because I could not get enough. With so many unpredictable turns in our wonderful characters’ lives, I needed to know what happened as soon as humanly possible. You will not be disappointed in this jaw-dropping book!

Read this if you: *Enjoy romances filled with suspense and mystery *Like a fight for family and love *Believe in living in a world without labels
Meet the Author: Theresa Sederholt loves to write and tell stories. Her passion lies within bringing awareness and understanding by dealing with subject matter that is intimidating to navigate. She enjoys whipping up steamy romances filled with suspense, sprinkled with mystery. When not writing, she enjoys cooking with her husband, spoiling the dogs, and spending time in her backyard.
Synopsis: Andy has taken on huge responsibilities in his life, dealing with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s and adopting a deaf child whose mother is murdered. Stephen decides this is all too overwhelming and leaves Andy to fend for himself and Stella alone. When Stephen realizes he made a huge mistake he comes back to Andy. Amongst this, there is a serial killer on the loose targeting gay men. The murders are being deemed as suicides. Andy’s brother Fitz doesn’t believe these men are committing suicide and begins to investigate. When Stephen and Andy end up on the “to be murdered” list, Fitz kicks his investigation skills into high gear. Will he be able to track the suspect before it is to late?
Reader’s Thoughts: This was my first time reading a novel written by Theresa Sederholt. Although I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series it can be read as a standalone. The characters in the novel sent me on an emotional roller coaster ride. At times I disliked Stephen for what he was doing to Andy. And at times I wanted Andy to realize how remorseful Stephen truly was. The love Andy shared with Stella tugged at my heart strings. And the selflessness displayed by Andy…….WOW! MJ and Fitz as side characters really brought life to the story. I cant wait to get my hands on the remainder of this series.

I’m Not Your Difference: A Fitz Series Book by Theresa Sederholt
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. If you don’t like Male/Male relationships this book isn’t for you. I’m Not Your Difference is a great read and I enjoyed it. This is part of the Fitz Series.
Andy is battling Parkinson’s and raising a daughter on his own. He was married at one point, but his husband decided it was too much for him to handle. Now Andy is trying to move on for the sake of his daughter. The quote I chose for Andy is: “Fitz, this is not like you. You’re such a forgiving person. Did you ever think that maybe he realized he was wrong? Maybe he wants to make amends.”
Stephen was Andy’s husband and made the biggest mistake of his life. Seeing Andy happy made him realize that he wants Andy back. Now he’s got to figure out what to do to get him back. The quote I chose for Stephen is: “I can’t. I’ve got an important case to work on. I’m going in the shower. You can let yourself out. Stone, I really need to get to work. Honestly, this isn’t working for me. Maybe if I was younger, like you, my mindset would be different.”

This is the 4th book in the series but the first book I have read by this author. I’m unsure whether the book is intended to be able to be read as a standalone but I have to admit that in the beginning I felt as though I had to have read the previous books to get understand the dynamics of many of the characters. This didn’t stop me from really enjoying this book though. I’ll just have to find time to read the 3 books that came before this one. In this book Fitz is working on the case of a serial killer who is killing gay men and making them look like suicide. This case comes a bit too close to home when his brother in law Andy becomes the target of the killer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s full of drama, danger, intrigue as well as romance. I particularly loved Andy’s relationship with deaf daughter Stella as he tries to teach her about being different and accepting people for who they are. The author has an excellent skill for character writing. I was so engaged with the characters and could really relate to their story. Definitely recommend but would advise to read the others in the series first.

This is my first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed the book. The characters are amazing and you can relate to them. Andy is trying to get his life back in order after Stephen left him and their daughter alone. Leaving Andy devastated and trying to come to terms with Stephen leaving. Once Andy is back on his feet taking care of Stella and moving ahead with the help of Fitz and MJ, he is ready to move on. Stephen unexpectedly contacts him and asks to meet. Andy agrees, if only to have his say, something he never had the chance to do before. Andy finally feels the confidence to move on. Stella is his focus now, even though Stephen will always have a place in his heart, he finds his closure. However, Stephen’s world, is not what he has expected and seeing Andy only confirms what he’s been afraid to admit all along—he’s made a huge mistake. Now Stephen has to work hard to win Andy back, so they can have the life they were supposed to have. While Andy and Stephen are trying to figure things out a serial killer, who is targeting gay men, has other plans for them both.
So the only one man who can put all the pieces together in time to save them is Fitzgerald “Fitz” Rodriguez.

Wow, Book 4 and I cannot get enough of this series…..definitely a roller coaster of emotions that I had to really hold on to and was at the edge of my seat not wanting to be disturbed while I was totally engrossed in each page.
My heart broke for Andy when Stephen left him, especially after wanting to adopt a child and Stephen wanted Andy all to himself. When Stella came into Andy’s life…there is so much love between Andy and Stella..especially after the tragic events with Stella’s mother, Effy. When Stephen starts to second guess his decision on leaving Andy the only thing he wants is to reconnect. Lurking is a serial killer whom targets gay men…and Stephen and Andy are on that list. Will Fitz and his crew be able to save Stephen and Andy from this killer before it is to late?
This story gave me a lot of different feelings….the hurt that Stephen did on Andy….betrayal, suspense and just so many emotions.

Andy is struggling with losing the love of his life but gaining a child he would do anything for, but when life gets complicated, can Andy truly find the balance he requires to feel normal again.
Stephen has love Andy from the beginning even when they received the devastating news of his diagnoses but Stephen feels that adopting a child could leave them lost and pressure which he feel Andy does not need, so making the hard decision to walk away and leave the family unit is devastating but when a threat is found, can Stephen really walk away from the man he loves?
This as all of them can be read as a stand alone book but it would be advisable to read the first and third book to have some understanding regarding the main characters in this book. Andy is a lovely character who is feeling lost and slowly feeling he is becoming his diagnose, due to Parkinson he is being sheltered and wrapped in cotton wool which is feeding the demise of his self esteem, so when he decides to adopt Stella the dynamic in the relationship between his husband changes and evitable ends in separation, they only problem is neither is convinced.
The story also gets Spicer when Fitz is brought in to try and find a serial killer who is killing gay men, so when his brother is in the cross hair it is a race against time to try and find the killer before anyone else is hurt.
This story is full of the usual thrill of the chase which is now associated with a Fitz book and this does not disappoint. I always love the way that the author writes in a multi point of venue and you get to see in the minds of all the characters and piece together the mystery and twists. I have to say this was my favourite book so far as you got to delve in the relationship of Andy and Stephen who all along has seemed so loving and caring but as all relationships has had there struggles. I hope this series continues and if so can’t wait to read the next thrilling instalment.

This is the fourth book in the Fitz series. This story follows Andy and Stephen, two homosexual males who have a past. Andy is the single father of Stella. Andy has Parkinson’s disease and his adopted daughter is deaf. Stephen did not want to raise Stella and top it off with Andy’s disease, it was too overwhelming for him, so he left. Stephen and Andy agree to meet. Andy just wanted closure, but clearly Stephen’s heart has not moved on. Now he must find a way to get them back. Now they are dealing with a serial killer – of gay men. Such an emotional read but a really, really good one too!

Once you get into this book, it’s hard to put down. It has everything a good suspense story needs. Watching Fitz track down clues is so cool!! The twists and turns and take-no-shit attitude is amplified when it comes to finding answers for those who can’t do it for themselves.
Action and drama at every turn. You never know where the story is gonna go until you get there. I’m on the edge of my seat… Good stuff, I tell you!

In this book, we have introduced again to Andy and Stephen along with Andy’s daughter Stella. Andy and Stephen are in a committed relationship until Andy is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Stephen sees Andy at his lowest point and gets overwhelmed and he leaves. Andy is devastated and with the help of Fitz and MJ, we see Andy reclaim his life with Stella and move on. Stephen returns and upheavals everything just in time for a serial killer to settle on them because they are gay men. Andy is gone through so much and you take this ride with him, you feel sad with him and frustrated with Stephen. Your feelings will be all over the place, it’s one hell of a ride.

Read the first three books in the Fitz series before proceeding. The fourth book focuses on the relationship between Fitz’s brother/best friend, Andy. Andy is a single dad. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, but he doesn’t want that to hold him back. Andrew, his ex-husband, wants to meet Andy to see if they have another shot. Meanwhile, Fitz has begun an investigation into some deaths of homosexual men that were all ruled as suicide. The deeper the investigation goes, the more Fitz is convinced that there is a serial killer who is targeting homosexual men and Andy might be next. A page turner once again. I binged the first four books in this series over three days! I can’t wait until the next one is finished!

I am a HUGE fan of this series and was SO excited to read the newest installment. As predicted, it did not disappoint. It has been a long time since I read book number three, so I could have easily reread it to refresh my memory but I couldn’t wait to dive right in. Literally my only “complaint” is that I had a foggy memory when it came to some of the characters. Of course, this in no way impacted the storyline or quality of writing. I love that not only does this book have action and suspense it has well written and developed characters with a genuine bond between each other. I feel as though not only are they closely connected, they’re written in a way that feels like they’re my best friends too. I can not recommend this book (or series) enough!

This is the fourth book in this series and the best yet. This series keeps getting better and better with every installment. This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up. This is a well written story where the author used their writing skills and attention to details to make the story pop. This is a great romance story that has some twists of suspense added to it. A story about two people who are trying to make things work but a serial killer has something else in mind. There are a lot of things happening in this story but the author did a great job of keeping me engaged. The characters are strong, connectable and supportive of each other. They had me coming back for more. They made the story easy and entertaining to read which just added to the story. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

This is a series that I have enjoyed right from the beginning and I love this new addition to it. This book is easily my favourite in the series so far. I just loved getting to know Andy and Stella, their relationship seemed so precious and exactly what they both needed. And I was really rooting for Stephen to find a way to be a part of the family again. Then came the mystery and intrigue of the killer targeting them. For me, that just added a whole new layer to the story and made it so much more enjoyable. The author has really caught my attention with this book and I could not put it down. Not only is this an already strong series – this book for me is fantastic all on its own.

What a Story! Not what I expected! This series just keep getting better and better! I loved how this one brought out the emotions! I was sickened, enraged and saddened. Oh there are good times but the main story..at times I just wanted to cry. I have many…many sections highlighted as there is much wisdom in here.
This is the fourth book in the Fitz Series. While it could be read as a stand alone I would highly recommend reading the series in order. The reason is that the characters are given to the reader in bits and pieces. Through the stories they each show up and the family grows larger with additions.
We have previously met Stephen and Andy. I adored them and was devastated at how Stephen acted. Now he is back and wants Andy to forgive and forget. I admire the backbone that Andy has in this story. His life has not been easy but luckily he has the love of a great family.
Fitz and his team or family have really outdone themselves in here. I am still reeling from all the trauma and suspense that happened in here. It is an honor to hang out with Fitz and his family/friends.

After his husband left him, with just a note, Andy has worked hard to pick up the pieces of himself. Just as he is finally ready to dip his toes back in the dating pool, his ex, Stephan, comes back around wanting a second chance. Andy talks these things through with best friend and brother-in-law Fitz. In this process, Andy finds out that there is a suspected serial killer killing guy men in manners that suggest suicide.
Will Andy hear Stephan out? Will he allow him a second chance? Will Andy find someone new? Will Andy end up in the cross hairs of a killer?
I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series by Theresa Sederholt. While this story can be read as a standalone I will note that I believe reading them in order would probably give better background, history and depth of the characters and how they came to be in each other’s lives. Many of the support characters seem to have been in the series from the beginning which is what led me to the read in order suggestion. I personally have not read the first three books. I did fall in love with many of the characters present in Andy’s story and cant wait to go back to read the other’s stories. I would absolutely recommend this book. ****NOTE I will note that there are some graphic non consensual scenes and violence in the story that may be a trigger for some.****

This is the fourth book in this series and what a gripping read. This author is at the top of my list and this book shows why. I was captivated throughout. This story is emotional with danger, murder, suspense, hurt, love, and family. It is my suggestion that you read the previous books in this series for more backstop of the characters. This is a must read for mature adults as there is violence and sexual content. I highly recommend this book, you will not be able to put it down.

This is book 4 in a series. I was able to read it and enjoy even though I haven’t read any of the first books. It is an emotional story – from happiness to sadness, love and betrayal, and danger but underneath it all is family love.
This book deals with some very sensitive subjects, the main one is the targeting of people due to their sexuality.
Andy partner leaves Andy and their adopted deaf daughter. He has to try to do what’s right for them both, even when dealing with pain of loss. After facing the loss and getting back on track, his partner returns. Andy has to decide if he can build trust again.
In the world around them, there is a serial killer on the loose killing gay men. Andy’s brother in law is on the case of trying to stop the killer. – understanding that Andy could be a target.
This is an action packed story.

A story packed with action, suspense and a serial killer. This story is written in more than one point of view and that keeps readers on their toes. A story about Andy and Stephen, and the challenge of a complicated relationship. Enter Andy’s medical diagnosis’ of early Parkinson’s and Stella a young girl who Andy has adopted and her hearing impairment and it’s too much for Stephen. Just when Stephen realizes what he’s missing and tries to win Andy back, a serial killer is on the loose and targeting gay men. A page turner which leaves you wanting more.

I’m Not Your Difference a Fitz Series Book 4 by Theresa Sederholt The book is packed with love, acceptance and very family oriented. I could not put the book down and wanted more. What Stephen ad Andy have to go though is extraordinary and they do an amazing job. This is a story of Stephen and Andy’s love for each other, Stone’s hatred and the DeMazzi’s prejudice ways that bring the story together. This is the fourth book in the Fitz Series that can stand alone. After reading this book, I am very interested in the other stories. All the characters are so well done that I let like I knew them. The book begins with how MJ, Fitz and Andy grew up together and the relationships they now have, and how they are all so close knit and look out for each other. It’s about how Andy deals with his illness and raises his adopted daughter, Stella. Stephen has a problem with both and leaves, finding Stone. Stone realizes Stephen still loved Andy and wants revenge, which becomes life threatening for both Stephen and Andy. In the end, the revenge makes Andy take a closer look at what life is bringing him.

I’m Not Your Difference (Fitz Series Book 4) by Theresa Sederholt. This is the 4th book in the Fitz series and it’s great. Its the story of single dad Andy Justice who is raising his daughter to try to see everyone as equal. Being a single, gay man and battling Parkinson’s disease has changed his outlook on life. Stella is the love of Andy’s life and she seems like such a perfect little girl. Andy is also dealing with the break up with Stephen who left because he couldn’t deal with Stella and her special needs ( she’s hearing impaired). Andy is trying to get on with his life but is truly broken hearted. While Stephen eventually realizes he made a mistake and tries to get them back. Will it be too late? There is also a homophobic killer on the loose that creates another level of tension for Andy. This book will keep you flipping pages late in the night. Great mystery, romance, family read!

This was a good book. It was just not one I could really get into. I had a hard time finishing it. It was nothing against the book. The characters were good and so was the plot. I also don’t think it helped that I have not read the previous books in the series.

I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series of mystery stories. This book highlights the character Andy, introduced in the earlier books as Fitz’s brother-in-law and close friend. The crime part of the story centres around a homophobic serial killer, with Fitz fighting to prove that what appear to be a series of guilt-ridden suicides are not what they seem. Meanwhile, Andy is trying to get back on the dating scene as a single father with early onset Parkinson’s.
This is a sensitive story, with many scenes focusing on domestic and family life. We see in flashbacks Andy’s family coming together to support him when he’s diagnosed sun Parkinson’s, and later their concern for him as he agrees to reconnect with his ex. We also see Andy’s love for his adoptive daughter, Stella, as well as his niece and nephew.
This book works alright as a standalone, if there are themes in it that particularly interest you. But reading it as part of the series will give you more background for the other characters.
I’m Not Your Difference gets five stars from me – an enjoyable and captivating read!

This story was nothing like I imagined it to be. It hurt and hit in all the right places for me to fall in love with every element. Andy and Stephen more than pull at your heart strings with all that must be endured, and the fight for love and family.. Stella being in the mix just added that right feel in as well. Such a sweet and perfect little girl that gave Andy and Stephen more meaning in their lives. This was more than just a love story. It was a run against the clock to find a serial killer, a plea to save a marriage and a look into a world where sometimes you need more than just love and faith. It was gritty, emotional, intense, suspenseful, and unforgettable. This is an author I will be reading again, and soon.

I squealed so hard when I saw this book had released!! I FLOVE this series so much- so it was a given that I would rush to one-click a copy to dive into. I always look forward to my time between Teresa Sederholt’s covers because she is such an amazing storyteller and always leaves me completely satisfied! And let me tell you, this book might just be her best yet!!! I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series by Theresa Sederholt. It is such a fantastic story with all the ingredients that I look for in a riveting read. With crime, suspense, a serial killer on the loose, danger, violence, romance, some spice, dramatic developments, mystery, murder, intrigue, and plenty of emotion – made for quite a thrilling reading experience. This story could probably be read as a standalone- but why would you want to, knowing that there are 3 other amazing books in the series that are not only page-turners themselves, but also help to lay down some of the framework and foundation for the series, provide character introductions (as there are several intriguing recurring characters), and impart important backstory…. All of which will ensure that you get the best reading experience, not only of this book, but the overall series as well. I loved Andy from the moment I met back in Book One- along with Stephen, they really rounded out the cast and brought something special to the series- adding Stella to the mix only made things better. Fitz, I adore- can’t get enough of him. I also love and appreciate the dynamic that these characters have together, throughout the series. So, reading this book and what had happened between Andy and Stephen was quite heart-wrenching at times. Ms. Sederholt certainly played a fine tune with my emotions through this story, that’s for sure. Add in a deranged serial killer who is targeting gay men, placing a target on our favourite MM’s, danger, tension, heart-stopping developments, and plenty of thrills…. really made for a wonderfully gripping read. Again, as I have said repeatedly in the past, I am in awe of Ms. Sederholt’s creative abilities, and how she manages to produce such incredibly well written stories, every time, and making it all seem so effortless. This is one of my all-time favourite series, from an incredibly talented author who should be on everybody’s must-read list! Can’t wait for more!!! Happy Reading!

5 Stars I’m Not Your Difference (Fitz Series Book 4) by Theresa Sederholt
I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series and I absolutely loved reading it. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing along with amazing characters make for a amazing story. This is a story that is intended for 18 + mature readers due to some Violence and Sexual Content. I recommend reading the first three books if you haven’t already as they are just as good as this one us you get back story and learn about the characters. I loved this book and had moments of heartbreak and I was a bit emotional at times. This is a wonderfully written story that is packed with m action, suspense , suspense and a serial killer. I loved that its written in more than one POV. This is a story about Andy and Stephen.. Andy is heart broken over Stephen leaving because he couldn’t handle Stella and her being deaf. Andy figures out a way to deal with all the things and then Stephen realizes he made a mistake. He’s determined to get Abdy and his family back. In the midst of everything going on there’s a serial killer preying on gay men. No worries Fitz is on the case and he’s not going to let them out of his sights. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This is book 4 in Fitz series. I think if you read them from the beginning it will give you a better understanding of the characters and their stories. I haven’t read them in order. It didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment of the story though but I will be going back and reading from the beginning.
This book has it all and deal with some very sensitive subjects, the main one being sexuality and how some people are targeted because of that. The author does this in a way that is respectful and informative which really brings the story to life. It is full of emotions from happiness and sadness, love and betrayal, danger but underneath it all is family love. Andy has really got a struggle on his hands. His partner recently left after he couldn’t cope with Andy’s diagnoses of Parkinsons. Leaving Andy to cope on his own with his illness but also their adopted deaf daughter. Heartbroken Andy pushes forwards always trying to do what’s right for them both. Just when Andy feels he’s back on track Stephen returns and wants to give it another go. Can he be trusted after last time? Should Andy let him back in or will he end up being hurt all over again. Add to this drama the fact that there is a serial killer on the loose that is targeting gay men and Andy is in more danger than just getting his heart broken. Fitz is Andy’s brother in law and he’s a detective. When he is handed the case of numerous men who have passed supposedly at their own hands he realises something isn’t right and its a race against to to stop the killer and potentially save Andy from becoming a victim.

Theresa Sederholt is back with another book for A Fitz Series. This is the fourth book in the series, but i do highly recommend you read the first 3 books before you read this one. You may or may not get a little confused with everything. This author has an amazing way of writing that has you hanging by a thread sitting on the edge of your seat. The way she describes the characters, and the plot of the series is wonderful. I’m able to feel and see everything they are at any moment. I can’t wait the read more of her books in the future.
