True Bastard is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells and my favorite of this series yet. Each book you think it can’t get better than the last but it does. I highly recommend reading this whole series in order as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on but they can be read as standalones. This is a fast paced action packed story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me till the end. This is Liam and Catriona’s story. Liam has one goal and that’s to make his father pay for all the wrongs and to take him down. Catriona is a nun who knows her numbers . She is recommended to Liam to help him go ever his father’s finances. The minute he sees her he knows there’s something special about her. There is definitely a attraction between them. How far will he go? Can he keep her safe? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

True Bastard is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. I think this is my new favorite in this series. Liam is such an alpha male until Sister Catriona tames him with her angelic presence. This book had me up long past my bedtime, because I just couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. This book was well worth the lack of sleep. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. True Bastard is the exciting fourth book in the Dark Sparrows Series by India Kells. This is such a great series, and it’s a fantastic addition to the collection. It is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. It is a dramatic, gripping and suspenseful story- full of action, danger, angst, adventure, chemistry, twists, revenge, intrigue, and romance. As with all of Ms. Kells’ books, I really couldn’t put it down- I was glued to the pages- devouring it in a couple of hours. As expected, the story is superbly written, with a complex and multi-layered storyline that proved to be an exciting and incredibly engrossing read. This is the story of Liam Harker and Sister Catriona Walsh. The sinner and the nun. Yes, a nun!!! And their story was every bit as interesting as you may imagine! I loved that this book also helps to build a bigger picture of the brothers and their on-going father issues. This book could be read as a standalone, but as I just mentioned, there is much to learn by reading the previous three books first. I can’t wait to read Sam and Ellie’s story next!!!

It is a fast paced story that is easy to read and the pages keep turning. You need to read the books in order as each one is about a different man and they each appear in each other’s stories. India writes stories that are compelling and enthralling and pop off the page. The characters are nicely developed and you can’t help but fall in love with them. Once again we find the brothers trying to stop evil but evil isn’t always easy to catch.

True Bastard by India Kells is a Dark Sparrow Novel. This is a fantastic book that will have you hooked from start to finish. It is a gripping story that is exciting to read and really makes you root for the characters. India Kells is an author that really knows how to create an intense book. But for me at the heart of all of her books are the characters. And these two are no different. I loved reading about Liam and Catriona. They were so different on the face of it however they fit together so well. They complimented each other. I got behind the two of the instantly and knew I was going to love their story. This book is just as good as the previous ones I have read and with the way it ended I am so excited to read the next book in the series. This is a brilliant book and one I would highly recommend.

Oh yes! This is another hot hot and an absolute must read from India Kells! I have fallen in love with her intense writing style long ago but each new novel of hers just pulls me deeper into her dark worlds and I cannot get enough. True Bastard is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow Novels and I would think you can read them as stand alones but why not divulge in all of them for the full effect. These novels are fast paced and make your heart race for many different reasons as you read and follow these men and their leading ladies. In True Bastard we get Liam’s story and holy heck is it a doozy. All I have to say is his leading lady is a nun! Yup you heard that right! I know going in there will be some danger and suspense when I read the books from this series, but I for some reason seem surprised when it happens, but I can’t seem to put the book down no matter what.
This series has been amazing so far and I love Liam and how he makes sure he is nothing like his father which I could relate to. He’s quite the stand up guy and he would do anything for Catriona even when he felt like he should be fighting it.
Catriona is an amazing woman with a heart of gold and God’s ear. She brings so much happiness and joy to everyone she meets. Cary and Ted broke and melted my heart.

True Bastard is the 4th book in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells. I have been a huge fan of India Kells’ work for some time and have loved the previous books in the Dark Sparrow Series. Reading the synopsis of this book, I just knew that I was going to love this one and I’m glad to say that I absolutely loved it. In this book it’s the turn of Liam Harker, the police officer brother to have his story told. When I found out that Liam’s leading lady Catriona Walsh was a nun, I could not wait to see how his story turned out. Like all of the other books in this series, this book pulled me in from the very beginning and took me on an amazing roller coaster journey filled with drama, intrigue, danger and romance that I could not put down. Liam and Catriona are both amazing characters that I could read for hours and hours. I loved them both as individuals and also loved reading the two of them together. The sexual tension between the two of them is off the charts smoking HOT and makes for very entertaining reading. I also loved that we got to catch up with the rest of the ‘bastard’ brothers and their better halves and see how they are getting on. The very end gives you a little taster as to the next story in the series and I really can’t wait to read Sam’s story and see him get his well-deserved HEA.

Kells continues to weave such a fantastic tale of romance and suspense in such a way that I still cannot anticipate what will happen next. This series has left me breathless every book and this installment was certainly no exception. To best appreciate the storyline development you truly should read the entire series. I’ve been patiently waiting for this story and it didn’t let me down one bit! If you haven’t read them already, start with book 1, as it helps understand what is going on and why, even though this could be read as a standalone.
Liam and Catriona were great to read about. They had me hooked and waiting to see what was coming next with everything. This author weaves such a good story, it’s hard to put her books down once you start, so tell the family to make their own dinner as you won’t have the time to do so! And now I wait for book 5!!

5 stars! I love India Kells! This is the fourth book in the series and it could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the previous three, it is nice to be introduced to the brothers starting with the first book. I love how all of the brothers are half brothers and have formed bond so tight because of their one common goal, to take their father down. Liam and Catriona’s story had me hooked as much as the previous stories. The characters were nicely developed and the story was easy to follow and get lost in. I can totally understand Catriona’s choice to become a nun, but I can also see the strong attraction and pull she has to Liam, so of course I was rooting for her to ditch the sisterhood and get her man. Liam, I was happy to hear that he at least had some love growing up with his uncle, but being thrust into the world of his father, Jamison Finch, he knew nothing but violence and defiantly no love. Meeting Catriona I see him finding love in his life again, and he deserves it. This story has a lot of action, romance, drama, and suspense, it is the perfect combination. I really can’t wait to see what happens with the next brother Sam since that epilogue had me on the hook!

True Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells. This author never lets me down. Ever time I finish one story I always think to myself “this is the best one, no way will they be better in the next one!” And every single time this author blows my mind with the world she creates with words. This author knows that perfect balance of steam and storyline. The characters are complex and relatable, they immediately grab your attention and I promise you they won’t let you rest until their story has been told. I simply couldn’t put this book down, definitely found myself up way later than I should be but it was so very much worth all the lost sleep. The storyline is gripping and even the smallest details are focused on and written well. I highly recommend reading all of these books. Liam and Catriona will have you completely hooked and you won’t mind one bit getting lost in their story world for a while. Another outstanding story of the Finch boys. Each one is just as good or better than the others. This one held me captive. I really LOVe this series! These men! All so alpha til a woman enters their world.
The rough, rugged, straight as an arrow cop finally sees the dark side of things. He only realizes it when his “Angel” comes into his world. What would he do to save her? Protect her? Release her? Liam has always been a favorite of mine. I am glad he gets his chance to see the happy side of life.
I couldn’t figure out Catriona and her special skills. She is almost a calming persona to even the reader. She is a wondrous character and makes even the reader believe in miracles. I enjoyed reading and watching all that she brings to the story.
It is great seeing the brothers and their women. How they are getting along, see who has kids and still see all the alpha-ness come out.
That epilogue?!? Makes me VERY interested in getting Sam’s story. The female who arouses Sam’s curiosity and protector instincts…I can’t wait to meet!

This book was such an amazing read! I have loved the whole series so far so I was extremely excited to get my hands on the newest instalment and Ms Kells did not disappoint AT ALL!!!!! I could not wait to get my hands on this book. I have loved this series since book one and love the ongoing story. You really must read these in order to get the whole dynamic of what exactly is happening, and what has happened.
This one would have caught my attention no matter whether I read them all or not, the synopsis had me totally invested in how this author was going to handle this story! I was not disappointed in any way, but that’s no surprise because she always handles everything she writes with nothing short of perfection.
I loved Catriona and Liam. I connected with both of them straight away and their stories both touched me. This was full of everything I have come to expect from this series, the story kept up the flow from the other books and kept the main point going strong even though this one starred 2 different characters. It was full of suspense, danger, super hot steamy romance, love, and the ongoing task of taking down the one person each of these brothers have in common.
I absolutely can not wait for more, I can’t wait to see how this story ends but I don’t want it to ever end LOL The Epilogue makes me very curious!

I loved this book. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite yet. This is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow series. I highly suggest reading all the books in this series as they are that good. This author writes with a lot of heart and steam. Her attention to details are great and character development makes them connectable. This story is full of action and steamy romance. It is a fast paced story that is easy to read and kept me turning pages to the end. This is a story about Liam. Liam and Catriona kept the story moving and they made great characters that I fell in love with. This made a great afternoon read and I highly recommend this book.

The woman he meets is Sister Catriona Walsh. Catriona Walsh is a woman who is good with numbers and following financial accounts. Will she be the one that helps bring his father down? Liam knows that Catriona is off-limits, however, why is his attraction to her so intense? Read this book to find out what happens. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I found myself caring about what happens to Liam and Catriona with every chapter that I read. This story is full of steamy, sensual storyline with a mix of menage included. I really enjoyed this story the book twisted and turns into a great suspense which will have you hanging onto every word which you will not be able to stop listening too.
The story revolves around Dr Tessa Freeman who is trying to help the woman who find themselves within the ER from this hideous life but as she becomes a threat to the ring she is kidnapped and is in danger until Locke comes to rescue her but there is a negotiation involved where Locke gives her an ultimatum.
I have read to a few books by this author and this book certainly does not disappoint, if you’re looking for a steamy, well written story this is for you.

The Debt Collector is the first book in An Underground Bad Boys Romance series by India Kells. Holy hotness Batman! This book was so intense and so steamy, I couldn’t put it down. Dr. Tessa Freeman is trying to save girls from an underground slave ring, but she gets herself into some deep trouble. She gets captured by the slave master only to get saved by a debt collector. Locke is such a HOT character; he’s dark and mysterious but seems to have a heart by saving Tessa. The catch is that Tessa must give herself to Locke fully as payment for her debt. This includes Tessa being with his friend Gage too. Tessa has a hard time putting aside the lust for Locke and Gage to know what she really wants in life. This story was jaw dropping at times, the relations between Tessa and Locke, Tessa and Gage, and even Locke and Gage some times. I was blushing on multiple accounts but I had to keep reading. Besides the hot scenes, this book had a deeper story line dealing with the complex characters. I look forward to reading other stories in this series.

This book was completely captivating! I listened on my commute to and from work and found myself leaving for work early for extra listening time because the suspense of knowing where the story was going was KILLING me! I really liked the characters in this book. They seemed very real to me and I loved how the author did that. Also, steamy romance can be a hit or miss for me depending on the author’s language during those steamy scenes and India Kells definitely has the right words! Dan Price narrates this book and does a great job differentiating the different characters. I always knew who was sayin what and could feel their emotion through his voice. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to get my hands on another!

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells Five Stars
The Debt Collector is the first book in An Underground Bad Boys Romance Series by India Kells. I listen to this book on Audible. This is a fast paced book that was full of action and adventure. Dr. Tessa Freeman is a strong character that rolls with the punches. Locke is a mysterious man, who is in the right place at the right time. Then throw Gage into the mix and you have a recipe for a great romance. The chemistry in this book is off the charts. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Dan Price is a new narrator to me. His voice is mellow and easy to listen to. He really brought the characters to life. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by him.

The Debt Collector by India Kells was a good read. Or well listen, because I listened to the audiobook version. I’m giving this book 4 stars for a couple of reasons. One reason, I feel like this book should come with a trigger warning for some of the content, and it didn’t. It only came with a warning for steam, being an 18+ adult novel. The steam was great, and it was very sexual! 5 stars on that, completely! My other issue (which isn’t the author’s fault at all) was the narrator of this audio book. I found myself laughing more often than not just because his voice was so awkward with the female voices, and the sex scenes in general. Other than those, this book was great! It did not disappoint at all.

You cannot help but get divulged in a book like this. The whole thing has your heart racing chapter after chapter! I’m sorry to get so excited but this doctor is a true heroine! She is that one you get caught up in and knows she’s the “it” (excuse my French) and for a great cause but this book goes deeper! As the doctor means well to save the girls, she’s caught up in a trap of manipulation at every turn: She knows better with all her fancy education but lust keeps screaming her name and her body is betraying her mind. The truth is behind the savagery she has to go through for answers. Is she really ready to risk it all? The choice is up to the doctor and her quest for answers. This book is filled with everything I love: A mystery, sexual chemistry, lust, desire, and suspense. I was all in reading this one! I couldn’t help it — I highly recommend it as India Kells is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Anything I see with her name, I can’t put down and this book was absolutely no exception. So, pick up your copy and you won’t be disappointed.

I will admit that this isn’t my go to genre but I do like to try out new types of books. I have to admit that I did find this book quite enjoyable. The author does a great job with handling the subject matter within the book. I found that I was quite drawn into this book as the drama unfolded in it. I found that hearing the audio book added even more. The narrator really has a great amount of enthusiasm and makes a great addition.
The emotions that Tessa went through and the drama I felt as though I was going through it vicariously through the character. I found that I started to route for Locke the more the book progressed. Sometimes the bad boy isn’t such a bad boy at all and they are the ones that save the damsel in distress. I really found the author’s writing style and will definitely read more from her in the future.
