Reading the Dark Sparrow books 1-6 was my first encounter with India Kells’ writing, and all I can say is WOW! This book series centers around half-blood brothers who all lead very different lives, but have all been sired and abandoned by the same dangerous criminal, Jamieson Finch. Each book spotlights a brother and one of the Dark Sparrows who is recruited in by Purgatory to aid in the mission of bringing Finch down. The Dark Sparrows are women who owe their lives to Purgatory for one reason or another, and have agreed to help them if the need ever arose.
I applaud Kells on her ability to make every story unique. Each brother and female lead is vastly different in personality and lifestyle, crafting completely different storylines. I enjoyed that many of the characters I grew to love in each book before continued to make an appearance so that it didn’t feel as if they were gone and their story was over. The books are written in a way that you could read any one of them as a standalone, but I highly suggest reading them all in order as each story does have parts that link the previous books together. If you like handfuls of romance, action and suspense, this just might be the perfect world to curl up with and get lost in.

I have read numerous books by India Kells and all of them have been AMAZING reads! When I saw that she was releasing a 6-book box set, I knew that I was going to read it! The best part about this box set is that each book revolves around a powerful couple. The way that the author writes these stories, it makes me feel as though I am in the middle of the action with them and not just a reader. If you are in need of a great series that has lots of great stories that you can binge read then this is the series for you! I found myself waking up at 3:30AM to keep reading as I could not put it down! You will fall in love with this series too! I cannot wait to tell my friends about this great box set!

This is the first series iv read by this author Six men bound by blood, each with their own secrets. Six women who are powerful in their own rights.
Book 1- Lost Bastard Lazarus King is the first brother we meet, he enlist the help of some powerful friends to help him keep one of his brothers Aleksei Voronov safe from their businessman and megalomaniac father Jamison Finch. We find out a lot about Aleksei in this book more so then Lazarus, and were also introduced too two more of the brothers who play small parts in this first part of this series. Jamison Finch is set on destroying the entire Chicago criminal underworld that Aleksei is part of and this is how we met the one of the first powerful women who are set to enter their lives. Devi Landry is a physical therapist who has been in hiding for the last ten years, she also has deep rooted connections to the criminal underworld and is brought in to help keep an eye on Aleksei, at first he is a job but as time goes on her secrets are unveiled and it become about them all Protecting her just as much as she is protecting Aleksei. These two fall deeply in love but due to their past experiences and trauma they are pushed apart when king sets to destroy everyone in his path. There’s wins ,deep losses and more trauma to add to their lives, will they make it out unscathed?.
Book 2 – cold bastard Zoe Sumerby Nerdy , spunky and extremely intelligent. Zoe is a genius at puzzles and languages, she is contacted by Lazarus king to help protect one of his brothers from their father Jameson Finch, who is on the war path yet again in retaliation for the war he tried to start with the syndicates. Zoe is asked to go in as help to keep an eye on Archer Blackwood, he’s currently looking for a translator as he sells off some of his oil rigs. Archer Blackwood owns one of the most powerful and influential Companies in the world Blackwood Energies. He’s a man driven by a cold heart and iron fist. With plenty of secrets of his own. As things start to unfold Zoe find herself being the one who needs the most protection as she finds herself trying to fiercely protect those she loves when Jamison Finch starts to unleash his destruction. Betrayal, secrets, alpha men and unrequited love, this is a great second book in this series it continues on from the first books flawlessly.
Book 3- Wild Bastard Following on from the second book we’re back at it with our crew, Lazarus king and Gabrielle Thorne enlists the help of her closest friend the mysterious Isabel Osborne to help them find out what Jamison Finch is up too. unbeknownst to Kai Jones he gets the shock of his life when he realises who the new woman is that’s going to help them . Isabel is the woman who broke his heart and left with no answer as to why. What is finch up too? Will Kai and Isabel get the answers they seek, and a their happy ending ?

This box set is original and the most action-packed, romantic suspense you’ll find on the market right now. This author has written six of the best books I’ve read and the best part is they are all in one set: Lost Bastard, Cold Bastard, Wild Bastard, True Bastard, Dark Bastard, King Bastard. Each of them is well-written and well-developed. The characters are individually defined. Though your classic battle of good and evil, it’s modernized and sexy. Finch is the evil bastard out to twist plans. The good guys win but they also hide secrets so the challenges abound in the battles. That is the best part of the story. Nothing is as it seems yet all is well. A plot that goes all over the place yet has no choppiness. The story is very engaging. I highly recommend these books and what better than to have them all at once in a set?
Book 2 Such a great book! The story was filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read. I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator and kind of jealous she has such a great thing going for her with that. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts and I love them together. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better! The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very loveable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.
Book 3 A great follow up to Cold Bastard. In this book we meet Kai and Izzy. I was so hoping for their story and my dreams came true. This book is a nice mix of romance and suspense, so it will have you engrossed the whole way through. Kai’s father is a douche and Kai will stop at nothing to bring his father’s company down while also dealing with this feelings for Izzy. Izzy was brought in to help bring Kai’s father’s business down but at the same time her past secrets are revealed. Izzy is a strong woman, and her personality had me loving her from the very beginning. I do wish Kai and Izzy were not in so many compromising situations, or I could see them together quicker, but then we wouldn’t have a great story right? Second chance romance is one of my top favorite genres, so this book was perfect and everything I wanted for Izzy and Kai. I would recommend reading to find out if Izzy and Kai can make it through all of this drama. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start from the beginning. This author never disappoints.
Book 4 5 stars! I love India Kells! This is the fourth book in the series and it could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the previous three, it is nice to be introduced to the brothers starting with the first book. I love how all of the brothers are half brothers and have formed bond so tight because of their one common goal, to take their father down. Liam and Catriona’s story had me hooked as much as the previous stories. The characters were nicely developed and the story was easy to follow and get lost in. I can totally understand Catriona’s choice to become a nun, but I can also see the strong attraction and pull she has to Liam, so of course I was rooting for her to ditch the sisterhood and get her man. Liam, I was happy to hear that he at least had some love growing up with his uncle, but being thrust into the world of his father, Jamison Finch, he knew nothing but violence and defiantly no love. Meeting Catriona I see him finding love in his life again, and he deserves it. This story has a lot of action, romance, drama, and suspense, it is the perfect combination. I really can’t wait to see what happens with the next brother Sam since that epilogue had me on the hook!
Book 5 I love that this series is not based solely on romance, but that there is action and drama. It sucks to see the brothers all still fighting their father, he is seriously deranged! My heart broke in the beginning to learn how Ellie and Sam were both feeling about life, but seriously awesome twist that Sam happens to call Ellie’s phone instead of his brothers and a bond forms between them. I liked watching Sam and Ellie dealing with and surviving in Jamison’s home and being basically held prisoner. The bond between the brothers, even though they haven’t known each other long is beautiful. Watching Ellie and Sam fight their inner demons and come together is sweet. At the end we get a glimpse of the next story which is involving Lazarus, fantastic name, and I have been most excited to read his story!
Book 6 Excellent ending to the Dark Sparrow series. I was happy to finally get to see what was going on with Lazarus and to see if he would get his own happily ever after. As with the first five books in the series, this author really has a way with getting you hooked. Sasha is such a strong and independent woman, and she seems like just the right type of woman that Lazarus would need by his side. The trauma she has to go through while being held captive and then fighting Jamison alongside everyone else makes her truly awesome to me. Lazarus, like all his brothers before, acts like Sasha needs protected and can’t defend herself, and I know it is all for fear of losing her, but we know she is a total baddie and could handle anything that is thrown at her. I wish the ending was a little more dramatic, but I was very satisfied especially with the epilogue.

This is a great box set that I enjoyed each book. This is the Dark Sparrow collection of six books. They are by an author that has great writing skills and her attention to details make her stories pop. This is a collection of six men who are related as brothers and bound by blood. Add six females who have secrets of their own. Plus a dangerous father who is out to get everyone. This set is full of romance and suspense. They are each unique but link each book to the next. They are fast paced, engaging and hard to put down. This is a set you don’t want to miss out on. This is a great set that won’t let you down and will tick all your boxes. Fun, sexy, quick. Nope, I was not explaining my night. I was explaining this romance cook! I definitely recommend it for someone who wants to read something a little spicy, that is a pretty quick read, because I got hooked right in. Immediately I was drawn to the cover. Simply enticing.
This story surrounds Juliet, Ten and Gage. Juliet and Ten are best friends trying to :”live it up”. Ten tries out underground fighting, hence the title. This is where Gage comes in the picture. Every girl wants a bad boy, right? Which one will Juliet possibly choose? Or will she choose both? 😉

A wonderful conclusion to a gripping and erotic trilogy. These books should be read in order as they build upon one another.
As with the other two books in the series there is graphic details of MM intimacy, as well as threesome scenes. The passion between the characters was well done without being over the top, excessive, or unbelievable (except for one scene where I can get the positioning right in my head and it’s making me go “how?!”). I enjoyed revisiting Gage and how he is doing. We see him coming to the rescue for Ten, a paramedic trainee, and Juliet, a nurse. We see Gage opening himself to his feelings and finally finding his HEA, while Juliet and Ten are able to explore their feelings for one another after years of tension from being best friends.
I enjoyed reading about Juliet, who despite being down on her luck, isn’t afraid to stand up for herself and fight for the things she wants. She’s also a helper, so we get to see more outside people than we did in the other books.
I think i liked this novel the best of the three because there are more twists and turns. The ending subplot blew my mind, and was oh so satisfying. I also liked getting that last glimpse of the friendship between Gage, Knox, and Locke, and the lovely people in their life.

The second book, of three, in a series. I wouldn’t recommend reading these books out of order because they’re on a continuous timeline and this book refers to the book before which could spoil major things.
This novel does have frequent talk and scenes of male bisexuality and FMM romance so if you enjoy that or want to get a taste of it this book/series is for you! Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 (and believable too!)
I have a love dislike relationship with Knox. I loved many aspects about him but I disliked some of the decision he made and how he seemed to make his life harder, not better, at times. I understood the decisions but I was happy to see his character growth by the end. And let’s face it, the author wrote him well to give us the drama to keep us engaged and reading until the conclusion.
I liked a lot about Josie but I found her stubbornness to be both endearing (I do love a strong independent woman) and frustrating as she was being strong about certain things for all the wrong reasons. I was glad when she came to this realization herself. I loved that she found her passion in cooking and baking and got to share that with Knox and Gage.
Here, we see Gage a year after the events of book 1 and we can already see him having grown from that experience. Sometimes it’s hard not to fall back on bad habits though.
Despite not always enjoying the personality traits or the character’s decisions at the time I thoroughly enjoyed the story and cannot wait to read book 3. Please do read and enjoy this series if you enjoy FMM romance, darker romances, and characters who grow and learn from their mistakes.

The first book in a set of three about three men who are trying to overcome their pasts and happen to find love along the way.
The stories in this series do include scenes of MMF romance with tons of heat, so if you like that then this series is for you!
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 (and believable too!)
I really liked Tessa as a FMC. She’s a headstrong woman who has put herself through medical school and cares about helping others. The tension between her and Locke was there from the beginning and continued to build. I also love Gage, and his propensity to bring some lightness, laughter, and heat, to the page.
I also liked getting Locke, Gage, and Knox’s overall backstory and knowing how they became the men they are today.
The main storyline aside from the romance is Locke, Gage and Tessa working behind the scenes to bring down a human trafficking kingpin and save others. I enjoyed how well the author wrote this aspect, giving enough details to get the point across without taking away from the characters growth and personal relationship.
The writing was very well done and the storyline was fast paced. Highly recommend.

This was a hot one to read! Much like the first book in the serious, it is a M/F/M story with lots of steaminess. However, you do not need to read the first one to read this one. It could be read as a standalone. Both Spencer and Josie bring their own stories to the table making the read enjoyable as you watch their worlds join in a passionate way with Gage. I would absolutely recommend reading this one!

This was a great read! I was hesitant at first given that it starts off with the doctor saving a girl from what seems to be an underground trafficking situation. However, the story takes off pretty quickly and doesn’t slow down. While there is plenty of spice happening there is also a deeper story to unravel. It may have been a short and quick read, but it was jam packed with intensity!

This is the third inatallment in this series, and boy was it filled with suspense, action, romance, and so much more. The characters were not only enthralling, but they were sweet, romantic, mysterious and so much more. There were a few times that our authors words are so perfect they feel like they could pull you right into the story. So while this is the third istallment in the series it could be read as a stand alone so definitely pick this one up today.

This was a really good read! This story was sexy, steamy, and very well written. The plot was great, and the characters just came to life on the pages. While I also found this one predictable, it still grabbed me and kept me interested enough to keep reading. This book was short, which I enjoyed because it made it a quick read, and still packed full of enough interesting content without skipping on the details. This has been a great series and I have highly enjoyed reading them.

This is the second installment in this series, and it was even better then the first. While both of these books can be read as stand alones, their both good so i would definitely recommend reading both if you get the chance. The characters in this one are fantastic, the plot has enough action to really make your mind think, and the overall story as great. The main characters were my favorite they were funny, sweet, romantic and so much more. So if your looking for a short adventurous read pick this one up today.

This was a decent read. It wasn’t my favorite I’ve ever read, but it wasn’t bad either. This is part of a series but can be read a standalone. I did like this book, but I guessed what would happen at the get go, so it kind of lost my attention while I was reading. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline however, and it was well written. It had great character development and because of the main female character, Josie, it was decently emotional as well. It was also a quick read, which I enjoyed. Overall I did enjoy it and will definitely look forward to more books from this author in the future.

This book is the first that i have read from this author and while I was highly intrigued it did leave me wanting just a little bit more background and character development. Tessa is our main character and I really loved her but I would have loved her even more with just a little more back story. However there is plenty of action and suspense to keep the readers on their toes. So all in all this was a pretty good read and it would be a great choice to get out of a reading slump.

Juliet is used to believing in herself and not relying on anyone, but when her friend Ten was ready to make a life changing decision, they made the choice to depend on each other. After a few too many hiccups, Ten decides he’s going to fix their problems by cage fighting. When he injured his opponent, things go a bit awry when payback is craved.
Jonathan Gage has been burned one too many times, and has given up on the idea of love when Juliet and Ten stumble their way into his path. Determined to help them, he invites them into his home and between them all they agree to explore the feelings growing between them all.
As luck would have it, Gage must give up the woman he’s found himself falling in love with, but Juliet must also figure out if what she really wants is her best friend or the fighter whose stolen her heart.
I stepped out of my comfort zone for this book and I definitely struggled with reading it. I think the storyline was well thought out and the plot has some really strong points. I found several errors throughout the book with words missing, out of place, and misspelled or incorrect which can be very distracting for a reader.
I enjoyed the characters and the development of them as individuals and as a unit. When I tend to look at romance, I tend to go for a duo, and reading this enforced that three or more in a relationship is definitely not for me.
The Fighter was definitely well thought out and planned, but another round of editing would have been good. Also, be sure to know what you’re getting into when picking a romance. I made the error of not realizing this was a MMF trope and may have gone a different route had I caught on to that.

This is the first book in the series as well as the first book that I have read by this author, and I was not disappointed. I have not read a book like this one before and was in new territory as I was not expecting certain aspects that happened in the book. The storyline was one that had me on the edge of the bed as I was reading. There were lots of steamy scenes between the main characters that were expertly written. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series!

This author knows how to capture my attention and keep me completely hooked from start to finish. I’ve gotten to where I don’t even have to know what the book is about before reading it I just know the author is bringing a story I won’t forget. The characters in this book instantly made me jump into their world, they all played well off each other and I had the hardest time when the end was near but I simply couldn’t put it down. It’s well written storyline with characters you won’t soon forget. It’s definitely worth a one click in my opinion. Five big stars and highly recommended.

The Traitor is the second book in this series and is full of SPICE!! the main character considers himself as traitor for things that happened in his past and hes just looking for some redemption! HOT HOT HOT! Great book and will be buying the hard copy for my own bookshelf!

I couldnt put this put down! I was totally invested until the very last page and was upset when it was over! Such a good book with amazing character development and romance and smut. totally recommend. i love this author!

This is the 3rd book in the series by India Kells. While it works just fine as a standalone, you can tell that there is more backstory between Gage and his friends. That doesn’t mean you can’t read this book by itself; however, if you want all the backstory, I would recommend that you read the first two books in the series. Gage is your typical bad boy with a tragic backstory who has the heart of an angel. Juliet and Ten are two down on their luck roommates who turn to the seedy underground of cage fighting to try and get by. Gage steps in to help Ten and all three end up in a bad situation, making enemies of a powerful boss in the fighting world. Gage offers to help Juliet and Ten by providing them a place to live and training Ten for the upcoming fight. As you can imagine, things get *spicy*. This is a MMF story and the sexy scenes are steamy. I love how the author incorporates each characters’ feelings into the scenes and the readers really get to see what the characters are thinking and their inner turmoil. I like Kells descriptive writing; however, I felt that some of the plot was forced, or at the very least, not fully developed. This could also be because I haven’t read the first two books. Overall, I really enjoyed my first book by India Kells.

At the start, I really enjoyed the story. It was mysterious, steamy and complex. The spice catches you off guard at times, and these characters are BOLD! I didn’t want to put it down! As the story progressed, the plot intensified, and stakes were raised. Once the plot ramps up, the resolution happens so fast. The story that initially had me refusing to set the book down was resolved too quickly, leaving me slightly disappointed and wanting more. I would have liked to have more time exploring the tension in the romance, and the interactions between the characters to really feel intimately connected to their struggles and drama. The epilogue also was tied up with a pretty bow. It was a great story, if too short. This is the first I read in this series, but it was easy to keep up with, which leaves me to think that it could be read as a stand alone. There is definitely some background information in the other books as far as some of the side characters and their history with the main character. I will definitely be looking up the previous books to see what that history is about. If you are looking for something steamy, action packed, and high stakes, give this one a try.

Bad boys and underground cage fights are just the beginning in this series. This is Juliet and Ten and Gages story. Juliet and Ten are interested in each other but being best friends they fear it could ruin their friendship. On the sideline, Ten needs money fast. When he discovers the underground fighting cages. When Gage finds Ten is over his head in the fighting, he comes to the rescue. Things at this point start changing and the story takes off. That is all I can tell you. You need to read the story to find out more. This story is fast paced and has some hot steamy romances going on. I love this author as well as her stories. She never disappoints and her characters don’t either. This romance is well written and will make you want to read more in this series.

The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 2) by India Kells is another fast paced steamy erotic MMF book that has an interesting storyline with a ton of sexual tension and two enticing alpha males. You can just feel the heartache, pain, danger, drama, suspense, and pleasure as these characters try to deal with their broken blemished past. Can you really fight your demons or are you just forever flawed.
Spencer Knox and Josie Baird are intriguing characters that have had to deal with a lot in life. Spencer, trying to escape his past, has recently moved to his new small town and has bought a mechanic shop. He just wants to blend in and forget his past. He’s not looking for romance after all he always says that he is able to give away his body but not his heart. However when he sees the stubborn, spirited, self-sufficient, and beautiful Josie he’s drawn to her.
