While I must admit historical fiction has never been my cup of tea I did truly enjoy this one. I love the fact that it is faith based. I have never read anything by this author prior, but I appreciate the fact that she so easily draws you in and keeps you wanting more. This is not your cut and dry Christian romance, there is angst, family drama, and jealousy as well. I appreciate this author’s writing style and look forward to reading the next book in this series, and hopefully more from her in the future!

A sweet historic romance between wealthy Faith and from the city Nico. As the story begins it is clear that Faith and her cousin Thomas are very close and you might expect the budding romance to be between them as Thomas is adopted. But then Nico comes to help her uncle with a project and they both seem to be very interested in one another. As events take place it becomes clear that Faith must trust in hers to make it through each occurrence. By the end of the story, she has developed quite a lot from a very naïve and innocent young lady to one who is starting to fully understand the bad and ugly that is around her.

Faith has grown up a part of one of the more well off families in town but her connection to the First Step shelter has kept her humble. Her best friend turned adopted cousin Thomas and her love to help their uncle with his architect business. During one of his commissions he decides to bring on an apprentice who shakes things up for the family. I love finding new authors and series. This book is the first book in this series and also first book from this author I have read. I enjoy a nice historical romance once in a while and this certainly was just that. I liked the fact that this was a clean romance. It made quite a change from the norm and was very well written. The characters are realistic and quickly draw in the reader.

I really enjoyed the escape into this world along with the balance of romance and just the right amount of drama. I found that the book was a breath of fresh air. The author brings the characters to life and I just did not want to put the book down. I will read more from this author in the future and this series.

Faith, a very strong, emotional female lead. I absolutely love this book. The historical aspect of the romance and the fact that it is centered on such a strong, loving family is beyond awesome. I appreciate the fact that this romantic novel was written so sweetly and that all the characters are such strong in their faith and love of God. When vital information comes up missing, boy, I was so wrong as to who my accused was. The characters came to life in my head, and I could picture myself in the era of the book. My favorite character must be Evie though, since all she seems to care about are books, I can relate to her so well! A great read full of intrigue, mystery, faith, and romance. I cannot wait to read the other books in this series. I just love how the family sticks together to help a friend and that it is done in such an innocent and pure form of love. A must read! I just love the fact that old-fashioned courting was taking place. Who doesn’t like a good romance that is clean and pure and perfect?

I loved reading this book. The feelings between Nico and Faith was pulling on my heartstrings. Family means so much to these two it almost nips things in the bud. Being in historical 1900’s was a great look into the world that was so long ago and the mannerisms and culture. Nico’s background of not having much hit close to home. I felt for him because i know what it’s like. Having a relatable character is huge for me. It makes the story more real. The pacing in this book was well paced out, it didn’t take too long or drug it out at a slow pace. The writing was phenomenal. It felt like I was right there being a background character watching these events between Nico and Faith happen. I cant wait to read the next books in this series!

A wonderfully sweet read! I loved Jake and Juliet’s story; it had everything a reader could hope for: a small town, likable characters, a faith-rooted, clean romance, and a serendipitous meeting of lovers.

The author developed both characters and story well, building tension throughout the story by slowly adding depth. It was a fast and easy read that kept my attention and had me rooting for Jake and Juliet throughout. I look forward to additional stories in this series and by this author in general.

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe

Faith is a woman of intelligence, integrity, and privilege. Her best friend since the age of 12 Will, has been her constant companion and confidante since the day she met. So when Will takes a stand against her new (and first) love Nico, she shocked and dismayed. How can the two disagree so fundamentally, when they have always agreed on most everything? How can Faith choose between their loyalties, and make the decision that is best for her life and her family?
I liked Faith’s character, that she was thoughtful and giving, despite being raised with every comfort. Will I also appreciated, though he was a bit unknowable in a lot of ways. I found the story a bit detached and surface-level, which made it hard to get invested in for me. Not a bad read, once I committed to finishing.

Juliet’s story was fun to read. I was excited to hear more about her journey leading her group through the mountain trails. I personally think that this alone would be enough of a tear jerker for me to try and accomplish! You meet Juliet and her friends, and a tragic incident leads to a need for help! This romantic story feels realistic to me. I found myself looking at my own relationship, and the differences in my walk with Christ vs my husband’s, and I see that there is hope for love. The author does a fantastic job of teaching the principles of Christian living within the pages of this book. I found myself smiling big at the close of the story. I believe you will love it just as much as I did!

Absolutely one of the best books I have read in a while. It is so hard to find a really great clean historical romance. Faith is a strong and caring woman but very sheltered in her world. There are multiple gentlemen vying for her attention. Who will win her heart? Will Faith be able to overcome the obstacles in her path? She will have to stand on her faith to find all that is in store for her.

This book is so beautiful. Faith goes through so many challenges. Her faith may quiver a couple times but it never dies. She has a strong belief in God. She is such a strong character. Thomas and Nico bring her joy and pain but she holds firm to God’s plan. Very engaging from the beginning, I found it had just the plot had just hte right amount of twists to keep it exciting. A beautifully written, Christian romance that warms your heart and leaves you feeling good. I strongly recommend it. I just can’t say enough as to how much I enjoyed it.

This is the first book that I have read by this author, and it was great! This is a feel-good wholesome story that will make anyone who loves romance novels happy. While the main characters at the beginning of the story had held a little animosity towards each other, but that changed when they met up again. While they knew each other previously and had drifted apart they were able to connect. This was a story that I enjoyed in a few short hours as I could not put it down and cannot wait to read more by this author!

A Four-star read that shows some promise. I liked this story, but Juliet rubbed me up the wrong way at times, she is strong and passionate, but sometimes needs to step back and take a breath. It was odd as I liked her when she showed her simple less abrasive side, than the strong independent one. Jake was a slow burn but as he revealed his true self you get to know him deeper and understand him better, that made it all the better for me. I think if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have enjoyed the story as much.

Love’s Full Circle by Cherry Christensen is a sweet contemporary second chance romance- with angst, drama, religion, Christian values, and a ‘clean’ storyline. It is under 200 pages long- which makes it a very quick and easy read.
Kayden and Liam have a past history- the two having been sweethearts back in high school- until Liam left Kayden with a broken heart. She has since moved on and made a life for herself as a successful therapist. But when Liam shows up out of the blue, full of regret for his past actions, she has no interest I having her heart broken, again. Will he be able to convince her to take a second chance on love- or will she shut him out for good? You will need to read the story if you want to find out what happens….
I really wanted to love this story far more than I did- but I found it really difficult to connect with the characters or invest in their story. Maybe it is just me, and I just had an ‘off’ reading day- so I will revisit this book again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way.

Thank you, Cherry Christensen!

I loved this story so much! Whilst I do love a steamy romance read it’s also sometimes really nice to read a pure, simple, clean romance and this is exactly what I got from this book! I loved the setting for the story and because of the authors attention to detail and her wonderful writing I felt like I had been transported back to the early 1900’s. I could really feel how much the author had put in to the characters and their story, it really came across well. I loved Faith and Nico and their story was a joy to read. I am very much looking forward to reading more from this series!

Faithful in Love is the first book in the Cliff Walk Cousins trilogy by Cecily K. Wolfe. It is an historical Christian romance, with some drama, angst, obstacles, jealousy, belief, and family connections.
This is the first book that I have read from this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her work- but I was intrigued enough to want to find out what she could do. I now understand that this trilogy is a spin-off from the Cliff Walk Courtship series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything by not having read that series first. So, this can be read as a standalone. Having said that, I will probably go back and read the original series, at some stage, just to find out what happens there.
We meet Faith Davenport as she develops feelings for her uncle’s apprentice. But things get complicated when Nico faces prison.
If you love Christian romance with a historical atmosphere, inspirational content, a sweet story with a little drama, and characters with substance- then this is definitely the story for you.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Cecily K. Wolfe!

What a sweet and wonderful romance fhia book is. I thought it was a great example of Historical romance done right. The author has created a varied cast of characters that all really add to the storyline of the book. It really feels like they are at the heart of it. The ebb and flow of the story was really well done. It is gradually developed over the course of the whole book and I liked how the authoe built it up. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book well worth reading.

This book was an awesome beginning to what I am sure will be a great series. I generally do not read Christian based books, as I find most of them to be overbearing on the religion, but that was not the case with this one. Historical fiction is also not a common choice for me, but this one was so well done that other than the occasional reference to carriages and period specific things, it was easy to forget that it even was a historical based book. My only issue with this book is that sometimes the scene changes were a bit abrupt and without warning, but otherwise, this book and this author were well worth the time and effort to read. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series.

I really enjoyed this sweet book. It really made me want to reevaluate my relationship with God and learn to trust him with any and all of my life decisions. I felt like Juliet was slightly annoying, I felt like she was more pressuring Jake at one point early on in the book, to accept God, but then realized that he had no problem with religion, it was his broken heart holding him back. I appreciate how courageous, independent and willful Juliet was, she left her home, her friends, her job and all she knew to follow God’s calling to stay in this town to help. The ending had me smiling and I was overjoyed with the epilogue. I can’t wait to check out more by this author.

A clean Christian romance that is set in a small town, and it is about loss and love and testing one’s faith. It is bit of an emotional heart felt tale.
Juliet is strong and knows what she wants. She is compassionate and she is helping others to heal in mind, body, and soul and loves what she does.
He is a grumpy grizzly bear of a mountain man but underneath it all he really was just a cuddly bear and meeting Juliet was just what he needed.
What I didn’t like was the way our main character seemed to force religion on others even when they were not wanting it. I believe if you want religion, you will seek it yourself without it being forced on you and that is what I felt this character was doing. You don’t have to believe in God to have faith.
If you love Christian romance stories, then you will probably like this one.

This is a clean Christian romance story where lost love has the chance to become more once again. The writing is good, and the premise is to, but I couldn’t really connect with the characters. They were together in high school and him being a hormonal teenager wanted more but she stuck to her guns (good girl), and he moved on. I wanted to smack him.
Years later coming face to face with their past he knows he made a mistake and wants to fix things. He wants to see if they can make things work now as adults. She is his one that got away after all. However, she is unforgiving and unable to let go of the past. I don’t condone what he did, but they were kids when she was hurt and I understand her hurt BUT she is and adult now, but she doesn’t act like it. I really wanted to smack her too at times.
All in all, I was really frustrated with the way these two were regarding their relationships past and present, but the writing is good.
There is a message in this second chance romance to believe in yourself and know your morals but there is also room for forgiveness.
Just because it didn’t gel for me doesn’t mean you should not give it a go especially if you love clean romance stories.

This book was a sweet second chance romance. I enjoyed this read. It was a nice change of pace.

Kayden and Liam have a past. A past in which Liam was quite a jerk. Kayden is happy with her life. She’s happy with her career. She can help people have the happy ending she didn’t get. Liam knows he messed up. It’s his one regret. Now that they are working in the same city, this is his chance to work for forgiveness and get Kayden back. It’s not nearly as easy as he had hoped and she’s not willing to trust him after their past. Will Kayden find it in her heart to forgive Liam or is the past too much to overcome?

I really enjoyed this book. Liam really was a jerk at first but I think he did well at redeeming himself. Forgiveness isn’t easy and Kayden was entitled to her pain. This book was very well written and I’m glad I picked it up.

Juliet's Journey to Love (Great Smoky Mountain Getaways, #4)Juliet’s Journey to Love by Elsie Davis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Juliet sets off on a trip with her friends to hike the Appalachian Trail, she believes that her dream for love and marriage is never going to come true. She is in the process of coming to terms with devoting her love and faith to the church instead, and helping support and guide other people. Lucky for Juliet God does have a plan for her happiness, and she finds it in Hollow’s Creek.

I liked that Juliet is a strong character who knows what she wants and what matters to her. She is principled and protective of both her friends and patients, very capable and intelligent. However, I found her insistence to continue bringing religion into the lives of non-believers to be a bit obnoxious and presumptuous. Juliet assumes that her God should be everyone’s God, and that she should keep trying to convert a person that has clearly told her that he is not interested. Best of intentions or not, I found this character’s toxic lack of respect for boundaries to be frustrating and I struggled to respect her despite her other great qualities.

This is a happy-ending guaranteed love story, so if you want to curl up with a Christian-themed clean romance where the girl gets the boy, you may enjoy this book.

Kayden and Liam are heart meltingly adorable together. I absolutely love the idea that Kayden wants to save herself for marriage while she’s in high school and when the book picks up 15 years later she is still holding firm to her beliefs. It’s such a refreshing change to see virtue celebrated as special, what’s even better is that Liam has realized how much he hurt Kayden back in high school and wants to make it better. He doesn’t only want to make amends, he wants her back. Kayden feels the familiar tug but is so scared to let her guard down and let him back in. This is a beautiful love story about faith, personal beliefs, true love and second chances. People really can mature and become better people if they’re just given the chance. This is one sweet, inspirational love story that you won’t want to miss.
