Betrayal at the Beach (Dangerous Curves Book 1) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Angela Hayes
Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery by K.L. Montgomery

Betrayal at the Beach is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series by K.L Montgomery. This is something a little different to what Ms. Montgomery has done in the past- as this is a cozy Christian mystery, so I wasn’t sure of what to expect, but knew anything she wrote was going to be good- and of course, it was.
I loved the setting, Bryce Beach, a small town beach community- as well as all the quirky and interesting inhabitants of the town. It was the perfect setting and cast for a cozy mystery, so I was hooked right from the start.
Sunshine Baker is one of the local librarians who has worked incredibly hard on the annual fundraising gala hoping to raise enough funds to keep the library running. As the night arrives, Sunshine hopes everything will run smoothly as there is a lot riding on the night’s success. Just when Sunshine begins to think the night couldn’t have been better, a robbery brings the festivities to a screeching halt. Not only has the thief taken the large amount of donations, but also a priceless antique that is steeped in historical significance for all the township. It is now up to Sunny, and her friends, to get to the bottom of it all, to find the thief and return the funds and heirloom, before it’s too late.
This was such a fun little adventure and a fantastic start to a wonderful new series. I can’t wait for book #2.
Thank you, K.L Montgomery!
