This fast-paced read will have your emotions all over the place! I haven’t read anything by this author before, but I’m glad I found Glass Houses because I’ll be reading much more by Sinister Styx. When a sneaking suspicion creeps into your relationship, do you let it take over and obliterate everything? Is there a way to repair that small chip at all? I had no idea where this story was going, and it totally blew me away. I highly recommend picking this up. You’ll be able to read through it quickly and be completely absorbed into the world!
This is a fascinating sci-fi story that really makes you think about what is going on. The book has a strong focus on the characters and so much seems to happen. I liked the fact that this book had an overall slower pace than most I have read recently. It was a nice change of pace and I think made me become invested in the story in a way I didn’t expect. This is a new author to me and I think this book was a great way to get to learn their style and way of going about things. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will certainly be reading more by this author in the future.

An enjoyable and engaging MM paranormal romance, which had me hooked from start to finish. The main character, vampire Quinnlan Trinity, has been chosen by the gods to have a second chance at life. This only happens every ten years and those from the paranormal world are only chosen if they had been unjustly killed. The only problem is they have to find and take a mate within three days, or they go back to paranormal purgatory, oh and the person they choose has to accept them! When Quinnlan finds himself at an abandoned motel in the middle of nowhere with only three days worth of clothes and a wad of cash, he wonders if the gods are playing a trick on him. With two days left he comes across a guy bleeding out after a group of wolf shifters attacked him, Quinnlan wants to save his life but by doing so the guy would have to be his mate, and he then risks rejection. He could be dooming himself to a trip back to the afterlife, but can he walk away knowing that he could have saved him, and after all, he could actually be the one. The descriptive narrative really brought the characters and setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. The storyline flowed well and the plot twists kept me happily turning the pages. This was an original and intriguing story and I definitely recommend reading it.

Super quick read but it had my attention from the start! The twist I didn’t see coming! Love the writing style and the whole plot of it. This book has betrayal and revenge and I loved it. I do wish it was longer because I would have loved more story!! Ended too quick for me but I still enjoyed it!
This is a brilliant, fast paced short story that really hits the ground running. I found myself being swept away by what was happening and I really became caught up in the characters. I thought the dynamic between them all worked really well and it fit with the excitement of the story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and, although it were a short book, I was impressed by how the author created a great flow. This book is exciting and well written and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to reading more from the author in the future.
I liked this book. It was well-written and made me care about the characters. Renee had a lot to overcome and the patience and love that Declan showed for her were so perfect. I enjoyed going on this journey with them! I had not read any of the previous books, but I think I may go back and read them

This fast-paced short story was a true page turner. Filled with suspicion and revenge, the characters find themselves in a cycle of anger and jealousy that they just can’t escape from. I had to read this twice to fully understand what I had just read. But all I can say is WOW!!! This short story really packed a great punch in just a few short chapters.
Oh this was just the cutest story ever! I read it to my 3 year old and he loved it! The story was beautifully written with a wonderful rhyme to it. The illustrations were stunning and really brought the story alive. I loved how it can spark the imagination of young children about where Lucas the cat may go at night, what kind of adventures he might go on. I would definitely say this story is aimed at 5-7 year olds – I can imagine them writing their own Lucas the cat adventure stories! There are talking points at the end of the story along with pictures of the cat behind the inspiration for this story and a few activities for the children to complete! A lovely touch from the author!

Linda Burson’s The Kidnapping is a mysterious romance novel, with an original plot and inspiring storyline. Linda creates a multitude of strong characters with detailed backstories that are unravelled throughout the book. There are moments of terror along with moments of domestic bliss. It has everything you want in a book: plot twist after plot twist keeping you gripped from start to finish, a slow burn romance to die for, a happy ending, and an epilogue so the novel doesn’t finish when the story does. I’d love to read more of Linda’s work.

This book was definitely not what I expected. The suspicion and drama escalated quickly culminating in a violent explosion. Although there were supernatural influences, it is a perfect example that communication is a key factor in a relationship. It is a short novel that packs a punch. There are explicit sexual content and violence therefore I do recommend for mature audiences only.

This is the 3rd book in a series which I’m really enjoying, even though I starter with book 2, then went back to book 1. I actually think that this is my favourite of the series so far. I was really drawn into the storyline of this book straight away. It’s also a topic, or topics that you generally don’t find in romance books but I actually found it very interesting and found this really added to my enjoyment of the story. I really enjoyed Trudy and Ben’s story. It was a great romance but had so much more to it. It was more like a romantic suspense which is one of my favourite tropes to read. It was filled with drama, danger and intrigue and kept you glued to the story from start to finish. I also really loved Trudy and Ben as characters. Both are easy to relate to and very likeable. Both are devoted to their jobs and have very strong personalities which clashed at times but as with romance novels, true love wins in the end. Definitely recommend.

I love this anthology. It helped to get me in the Christmas Spirit early. I love that each one has such wonderful characters. I was drawn to this story because of one of the featured authors – Bernadette Marie. Her story definitely was everything I expected and more. I loved reading about Levi and Gretchen. Their story is wonderful. Their care for each other just jumps off the page. They may not be in love with one another but they definitely still love for each other. The other stories are just as wonderful! Copper Penny might have been my favorite story otherwise. I loved Randi! Randi is possibly the most wonderful character I’ve read and I hope for only good things for her. This is one story I didn’t think was long enough. . All the stories were equally enchanting. I cannot recommend this anthology to anyone. But especially those who love Hallmark Movies! These are by far and away all the plot to a Hallmark Christmas Movie!

The story itself is magical and awakens the imagination of the reader!
The reason for my 4 stars is that I wish there was a movie LOL. But other than that I love this book it keeps you on your toes. Divided Lives is one of those types of books that should make into a movie. While Lottie has to struggle to live in New York in those times the suburban area was divided into different beliefs and rules. She had to live with it and manage her life while her career took a twist in a criminal case toward one against Police Officer Becker. But things become really sticky for her when someone is after Becker and blackmails Lottie.
Although this book wasn’t my cup of tea it was a really well written book. It was a perfect look into what happens when you allow suspicion to take root and try to take revenge. It has some very big twists and really makes you think. Definitely didn’t see the ending coming.
This is the first book that I have read from this author and I fell in love with immediately. This is a stand-alone book also. This is an amazing book and I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves , frenemies-to-lovers office romance. He’s been warned, but she’s worth the risk. Devlin Hughes is a businessman first, and a charmer second. With his sights on a big promotion, he just has to follow one rule: don’t fraternize with his coworkers. But when his sexy, shrewd coworker suddenly becomes available, his ambitions may not be strong enough to overcome desire. Evelyn Parrish is ready to climb the corporate ladder. And planning a company function is an important rung, even if she’s reeling from a breakup. The arrogant but handsome Devlin might just be the distraction she needs… unless they get caught. When their one-night fling develops into true attraction, it gets harder to keep their distance. Rules weren’t made to be broken, but maybe they can be amended. I’m excited to read more of this authors books in the near future.

The end of the book contains fun activities that encourage learning while doing so in a creative and imaginative way. A must read for children of all ages!

Renee Cadmon is recovering from being taken and sold. After she is rescued she finds she is better off not leaving her room. Before she was taken she had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Declan. Now she feels he wants nothing to do with her, because of what she went through. Declan has always liked Renee, while she wants nothing to do with him. He still stays close by and makes sure Renee knows she is safe and protected. Declan also meets her for lunch, because he would do just about anything to stay close to Renee. That is all I will say about this fast paced and emotional story. This author has always impressed me with ner stories. This one did not disappoint. The author writes clearly and sends you through her book. I love her characters as they feel like friends I would love to hang out with. Their story is extremely believable, as well as heart wrenching. Have the tissue handy as you will need it. Also throwing your tablet is not a good Idea.

I really enjoyed this book! It was fun and lighthearted without having that vibe of “I’m to old to be reading this” The characters were fun and had good chemistry! There was a witty banter and enough of a story line to keep readers attention without it being to cheesy! It was a nice change from the heavy things I have been reading lately.

I can honestly say I loved every aspect of this book. Ryan and Lisa’s instant love, even though she was less than presentable when they met, their hardships with Tina and Aaron during their wedding, the friendship the girls found. All of it just makes this wonderful story about love and friendship and instant connections.

Wow this is a short story but it completely blew my mind. It is a story of how jealousy and suspicion turns into to anger and revenge and the horrible consequences that could follow. The relationship it portrays on the surface seems an unhealthy one with the mistrust and the need for them to hurt one another but underneath it all you can tell they really love each other. They just can’t stop the abusive cycle.
For a short story it is a complete one. It was a great read and I felt there was nothing missing or that the story felt unfinished in anyway. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more
This is the third in the Philly Heat Series, and again, Becky Flade does not disappoint. The writing is fast-paced and the characters are well written. They come to life on each page. Yesterdays Over follows Trudy Beasley, Assistant Chief Medical Examiner; she works to provide families with closure for victim’s families. After an explosion, and bones are found; Benjamin Roberts, Forensic Anthropologist is brought in to examine the bones. Trudy and Ben work together, and it isn’t long before they find interest in each other. As they navigate the search for answers about the bones and their spark of romance, someone else has some secrets that they want to keep hidden. I would recommend this book!

Something for everyone, your favorite authors and some new ones as well. I highly recommend this collection.

What an entertaining story! Gwendolyn learns she is a dream-shifter. She experiences a series of misadventures trying to become herself again. This book was a cute read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be reading this with my grandson. It deals with so many topics in such a gentle way. I loved her reaction when she found out she had to interview a funeral home director. Gwen is a strong protagonist. She has to overcome a lot. She knows what she wants and goes for it. The other characters are quite funny also. The whole story is a good read for middle schoolers. Quick read that they will enjoy. I hope the author will do more of these.
I loved reading this book. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to see what is next for this author. This is a well written story about love and revenge. How far is someone willing to take revenge? You don’t want to miss this book. It is a shorter story that I read in one sitting. A story that is engaging and fast paced. It had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. A great story with great growth and I enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book. It is a must read.
This is an amazing story. Such a strong and fascinating woman to be the main character, Emma is one of my favorite protagonists of the year. She comes up against a large challenge and overcomes them. This story makes me think of Outlander, with its time travel parts. The story is well-written with such detail that you feel you are there. The switch in POV between Emma and Josie keeps you engaged. I found I just couldn’t put the story down. I was into it from the beginning. I have never been to Texas but felt like, hmmmm, maybe? The tone of the story, the plot and everything just flows so smoothly. It’s a terrific story. Fans of time travel should give this a shot. Western style time travel, new genre? Love!!!

WOW! This was a short story but packed full and powerful. I have read many books by this author and this is the first I have read that is more on the erotic side. At first I felt so sorry for Ivy, was really pissed at Falcon and couldn’t stand Lantia. Then Serin crept up and grabbed my ire. At the end I was just blown away! The amount of feelings I had in such a short amount of time an from such a short story is truly amazing. This author really blows my mind. I did not see that ending coming, and now I’m on team Lantia.
