Theodore’s Ring by Stacy-Deanne – Review by Tia Martel

Theodore's Ring: BWWM Action Adventure RomanceTheodore’s Ring: BWWM Action Adventure Romance by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lydia will do anything for the man she loves including going into the jungle to save him after he’s been kidnapped. When Cam’s life is threatened, Lydia must go into the jungle and retrieve Theodore’s Ring. A ring that Cam buried after his fathers death in order to keep it from Efrain. But at least she doesn’t have to do it alone.

Sullivan York is Lydia’s ex-lover and says he’ll do whatever it takes to get her back. No. Matter. What.

So now Lydia is dealing with a crazy man threatening her boyfriend, an obsessed ex, and all the craziness that comes with traveling in the jungle. With a deadline of only a few days, Lydia needs to find the ring and save Cam. And fast.

Theodore’s Ring was a quick, fun read. A great novella that stands alone enough to not feel like you’re missing information by not reading the series that it’s spinning off from. I feel like it could easily become a full length novel about Lydia and Cam and how they got their start. It’s a fun little teaser to get me intrigued about other books from this author and I’ll definitely be checking out more!

Swipe Right to Bite (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 6) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Katrina Evanochko

Swipe Right to Bite (New Orleans Nocturnes, #6)Swipe Right to Bite by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Katrina is a succubus who doesn’t believe in love. Gabe is an incubus who disagrees. They clash when Gabe’s emotional intimacy counselling seminars impact Katrina’s hookup app business. There are plans made and secrets that must be kept. Katrina and Gabe have instant chemistry and it is fun to watch them dance around each other and try not to let the other person ‘win’. Their banter is amusing and the some of the situations had me laughing. This is a good book for when you need something light and witty.

Swipe Right to Bite (New Orleans Nocturnes, #6)Swipe Right to Bite by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is the 6th book of the “New Orleans Nocturnes” series. I have not read the other books in this series but the book was completely okay to read as a stand alone. This is my first book I have read by this author. Let me tell you, she is HILARIOUS! After reading this book I am definitely going to read more from this author.

This book is about a succubus, named Katrina, she is trying to be celibate so the devil will forget about her. One day an incubus by the name of Gabe shows up in town and everything is starting to fall apart for Katrina.

Katrina has a hook up app by the name of swipe right to bite, its her way of not relapsing in the sex department. Gabe is an inspirational talker about love and how to find it without the psychical aspect. Since he started these talks, Katrina’s clientele has been falling.

She wants to run him out of town and he wants to co-exist in the same town.

This book was so fun to read. It was witty, punny, sarcastic, romantic, sexy, all in all just fun. I will be looking into more books by this author.

This is the 2nd book in the series. It’s a great contemporary romance novel by an author that I have now read several times and have really enjoyed all of their books that I have read so far. I did find that this book was more of a slow burner to start for me but I soon got into the story and became very invested in the story.
In this book we get the story of Anton Kingston, successful Hollywood actor and his wife Elsa. To the outsider their life seems perfect but in reality life is far from perfect.
This book tackles the difficult issues of miscarriage, infertility and drug use. It is very dark in places but this males for a fascinating read. It’s a great example of showing that money can’t buy you happiness.
I really loved reading about Anton and Elsa. Having at one point suffered a miscarriage of my own, my heart broke for Elsa and Anton so many times during this book.
On a far lighter note, the author should get extra points for having my favourite model Kamil Nizinski on the cover.
This is a great book and I really can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the other ‘Titans’ in future books in the series.

This was a truly phenomenal read! It’s the second book in the Titans of Manhattan series. This is the first book of the series that I have read so I can honestly say that this book can be read as a standalone as I had no problem following along with this book with no previous knowledge of the characters.

This storyline was so steamy, dynamic, unexpected, tear jerking and so heart wrenchingly beautiful. I instantly felt connected to the characters and found myself really rooting for them. Their story is tragic and full of ups and downs and struggles, making it really relatable.

Though this is a fiction book it has a lot of truth to it too, this is the type of story that stays with you long after you’ve reached the end. I cannot wait to read more from this author asap and would recommend this to anyone looking for their next romance read!

I must admit, this novel isn’t one that I would usually read. However, I’m so thankful I did! I was able to relate to Elsa on so many levels throughout this book and just about the time I chose a side, which I always say I won’t do, I end up on Alton’s side! This was not your classic couple novel and that’s what I loved most about it! As I read each chapter, I was yearning to read the next! It was a very addictive novel for me personally! In the end, I found myself shedding tears. Was it because I felt connected to this story? Was it the journey throughout this book? Was it the ending? Whatever it was, this author really knows how to write a story on a “true story” basis in a perfectly imperfect way!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A dreamy four-star read. This is number three in the Rebecca Steele series and its also the last story in the series and that is normally a bad thing, but this is done well so it’s a great end. I really enjoyed this story for the most part, but there were a couple of bits that didn’t sit right with me, the characters were amazing as always and the story great, just a little more putting together and this would be five stars.

This book makes you feel things all throughout the book. I have never had a book grab me emotionally from the start like this book did. It is a continuation of the Titan Series but that being said you do not necessarily have to read the first book to understand what is happening in this book. This book does deal with some very heavy issues. If you have a trigger for addition, then this book is not for you. The way the characters face the horrible fates of addition in this book make it worth the read. It deals with real life situations and tugs at your heart strings. It deals with things that a lot of couples have gone through and the ability to cope with loss. I gave this book 5 stars because it deals with real events that people do go through so there is a humanizing relationship with this book. The reader can actually picture themselves in this situation. The coping mechanisms may not be how everyone handles things but it is raw and honest on how some might cope with everything in this book. I highly recommend reading this book and having a box a tissues next to you because it will tear your heart up but deliver it back to you with a bow at the end.

I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I think this is my favorite in the series so far that I have read. Once again, I laughed until I cried. If you haven’t read any of these books I highly recommend that you do. Although these are a series I personally don’t think you will need to read them to get an understanding of the stories. Every one of the stories set the tone for the book so you can pick it up and read. If you love laughing until you cry you need to read this story. I absolutely cannot wait for the next installment in this series.

Imperfectly yours was…heavy. So good but so so heavy. I couldn’t put it down as I let it destroy me and put me back together again, over and over. Elsa and Anton’s story was raw, their struggles were real and their heartbreaks were absolutely real. This is the second book I have read of this author, but can guarantee I will be reading more. This book does have triggers but she makes them very clear before you start the book. If they are something you are okay reading about, enjoy having your heart ripped out as much as I did! Don’t worry it will be put back together too.

The Titans are back and I was totally hooked from start to finish in this wonderful and at times heart breaking story from this amazing author. While it is Book 2 in the series you can absolutely read it without having read the first book and follow the storyline and gorgeous characters with out any issue. Honestly though you want to read any other books in this series simply because it is that damn good! The author has created wonderful characters who lives you feel so much a part of that you feel everything they go through right along with them. She addresses real life issues in a thought provoking way as well as giving her readers some really well written steamy scenes. This book truly has it all.

Well, here we are at book 3 of the series. Will and Maggie have more adventures as the wedding is scheduled to happen and Maggie is still trying to get them home. The emotions run the gamut through this story. You’ll feel it from anger to sadness to happiness. The story still flows very smooth. The characters are still so well-written and very relatable. I still love reading it with the scottish tinge to the language. This has been the best series so far of 2022. I am a huge fan of time travel and this author always writes stories that keep the readers engaged all the way through. Get out there and get a copy. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Book 2 of the series, this one starts with Maggie sending her family back barefoot. I have to say that was the funniest beginning I have seen in awhile. Picturing grown men picking rocks out of their hose had me giggling. In this installment, Maggie has broken free from her framily and run off with Will. Can their love get them through this? I’m pretty sure it can but I can’t tell you. You have to read this. I promise that you will enjoy this story. The characters are so full of personality and so big for their britches that you just can’t help but root for Maggie and Will. Her family wants to get her and marry her off to Ian. God help her, all she wants is to get home. Will this hapen? Stay tuned and get out there and buy your copy.

Wow! I fell in love with this book right from the start. I am a fan of all things scottish. Trying to read this book with its language was fantastic and gave the book a bit of excitement for me. It was engaging. Time travel is a very intriguing topic for a story as well. Maggie and Will are two very different personalities that come together in this story by a truly different tale. Maggie is basically dragged back by her father and meets Will. The time period is brutal and harsh. It’s safe to say women don’t get a lot of respect. They will face a lot challenges as they deal with clans that don’t get along and other issues. I shouldn’t but I did chuckle at some of the issues being faced and how they were dealth with. The story is very well-written and has a great flow to it. The characters are just that; characters with wild personalities. You should give this book a try. I highly recommend it.

I couldn’t put this book down. Miles ad Bella have such a beautiful family. I really enjoyed seeing the way that the two of them interact with their twins. Miles is such an adorable mush and a fierce protector when it comes to his babies and his wife. There is so much action and betrayal in this book, it sucked me right in from the very first page to the very last. Miles and Bella find themselves the target of jealousy once again and have to work together as a team to survive and to keep their family on solid ground. This book also gives an inside look at the music industry and some of the struggles that musicians can face when it comes to the lure of crime, drugs and drama.

Soon after becoming fully immersed in Miles’ life, Bella begins to see just how emotionally and physically exhausting it is being the wife of such a huge star especially when he’s on tour. They face some really scary bumps in the road that definitely had me holding my breath waiting to see what happened next. The ending was surprising in the best possible way! This is definitely one book you won’t want to miss.

This book was so good, it really delves into the young boy that Miles has become. Cade and Lecia face some difficulties in their marriage that they need to find a way to work through. Miles is sweet and means well but he is more than a handful and juggling that along with a career and trying to keep their relationship strong is quite a strain for them. There is just as much action and suspense as in the first book in this series, as well as emphasizing the importance of family and working together as a team. I can’t wait to read more about this amazing family and see what happens with Miles next. This is such a good series I definitely recommend starting with the first book if you haven’t read it yet because it will give much needed background info on all of the key players.

Face the Fire: A Romantic Paranormal Suspense Novel is the fifth Book in the Moore Family Saga series by Michele Sims. Having enjoyed the other books in the series I was happy to dive right into this story and find out what it had in store for us, and the characters.
I really recommend reading the previous (four) instalments before starting on this one as they contain important storyline details that will help you fully appreciate the characters and help you to really understand this story, as well as the series as a whole.
This is an exciting romantic suspense with paranormal elements, magical realism, secrets, musical empire, fame, success, family, danger, emotion, and more. Miles and Bella seem to have the world at their feet, but will the cost be too high a price to pay? It’s well worth the read to find out…
Another superb addition to the series!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Michele Sims!
