A hidden gem! To say that I enjoyed this book is an understatement. This novel digs deep and wrenches every bit of emotion from you. There is remorse, disappointment, hurt, and happiness (just to name a few) that transcend from the pages and envelopes the reader in a cocoon where the reader has no other choice but to be a part of the characters’ journey. I admire Tank’s strength in making amends for the disservice done to the heroine and Charlie’s bravery in her vulnerability. Their path towards reconciliation was organic and realistic. This highlighted the fragility of trust, that once broken is possible to mend. Thank you, Trish, for this beautiful story.

My only disappointment is that I have yet to read book 1 of this series. Fast-paced, action-packed, and riveting are all adjectives used to describe this book. I love a heroine that does not sit and twiddle her thumbs in a corner waiting for ‘Prince Charming’ to come to rescue her. Don’t get me wrong; I do appreciate a take-charge hero as much as the next person. However, a woman that stands up and takes charge of her life and destiny is something worth writing home about; simply put Delilah is a badass. This is not the typical vampire romance novel; Sylvia brings an original and refreshing perspective to their lifestyle. I immensely enjoyed reading and recommend this book.

I LOVED this book!! I love a good YA/paranormal book and I was hooked. I really enjoyed the different kinds of paranormal used in this story of demons, witches and gargoyles. When Lucy’s mother passes away, she has to go live in Chicago with her uncles. Lucy learns then she is half witch and half demon and her life turned upside down and only the beginning. Add in some twists and turns that also include a love triangle between Lucy, Dylan and Marcus. I also love a strong female character and most definitely Lucy was!! I thought this book was fabulous.

Boy Released is the follow up story to Boy on Hold and picks up 10 years after Tyler is convicted of the murder of Sally Hubbard. Hen, Marcella, and Bernie are living at and running the motel they have purchased. Tyler has been released from the psych hospital and is staying on site in the one of the cabins. When Marcella is brutally attacked, Tyler is the only witness, and quickly becomes the prime suspect. But what really happened on that night? Can Hen, Bernie, Marcella and Tyler come to grips with their new lives?
J D Spero knows how to write a story that draws in the reader, develops characters that are relatable, and keeps the reader engaged until the very end. I loved both the books in this series. The parts of the story from Tyler’s point of view really seem to hit the nail on the head when it comes to schizophrenia and related issues. His story was heart breaking, and the effects on his family where realistic. This is hands down a 5 star book !

The Girl and the Gargoyle (The Girl and the Raven Book 2) by Pauline Gruber was a great addition to this series. Ms. Gruber really grabs her readers attention in the beginning and doesn’t let go of it until the very last page. She brings back the great characters from book one,as well as some great new additions and while I love Jude, I really loved reading mire about Dylan in this second installment. This book has so much to offer including teenage angst, a love triangle, drama and more. Personally I can’t wait for the next installment in this series to see what happens with Lucy and all of our other beloved characters.

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set 1: 3 Cozy Christian Mysteries by K.L. Montgomery contains the first three books in the Dangerous Curves series. The set contains the books Betrayal at the Beach, Mystery at the Marina, and Shooting at the Shore. The books follow Sunshine the librarian as she solves mysteries in the small town of Bryce Beach. I really have enjoyed this series and the variety of characters that live in Bryce Beach. Sunshine is fantastic and makes me laugh as she gets herself into scrapes and troubles as she investigates and solves the mysteries. I also really enjoy her interactions with the local law enforcement. I look forward to reading more adventures of Sunshine and from this author in the near future.
K.L. Montgomery stole my heart with this box set. I cant wait to read the rest of the series and find out who the admirer is! Hoenslt such a wholesome, fun, well written group of books. I couldn’t put it down and I truly loved every single second. I cant wait to see what’s in store for Sunshine and her crime solving librarians. I really couldn’t reccomend this book enough. It was so well done!
The story of Lucy Walker continues in The Girl and the Gargoyle. Half witch half demon girl dating a gargoyle and living with her uncles. It is safe to say her life is very complicated. I very much am enjoying all her adventures as she learns.

The Marcy Series Boxset is the first three books in the series. Linda J Burson does an amazing job of grabbing my attention and holding throughout the series. Her attention to detail paints a beautiful picture in my mind’s eye. She introduces Marcy, Brad, and Liam in book one Rage. Marcy is living the American Dream, her own house, and business. She has some issues and she is working through them. I love how much Marcy grows through the series. I highly recommend this box set to follow Marcy and her relationships.

The Girl and the Gargoyle: YA Paranormal Romance by Pauline Gruber is the second book in The Girl and the Raven book series. I highly recommend reading the first book in the series before this one. The story of Lucy continues as she learns more about her powers, trains with her father Jude, and grows closer to her boyfriend Marcus. I enjoyed the first book but this one was even better. The characters and the story are really compelling. I look forward to reading more from this series and from this author in the future.

Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the fourth book in the Dark Spell Series. I highly recommend this series in order instead of as standalone reads. This book is my favorite so far in the series. We get the backstory to Isra and how she developed into the person she has become. I really enjoyed this insight into Isra and it gives a new dimension to the characters and the other books. I look forward to reading more in this series soon and from this author.

Repair was probably one of the best books I have read this year. I would give this book 10 stars if that was even possible. This book was amazing from the very first page to the very last.
The book starts the day of Jack Easton’s funeral. Charlotte ( Charlie ) and her family are there to support Tank on this horrible day. Tank is pretty much part of the family. Tank and Charlie’s brother Jude have been best friends forever. Charlie has had a crush on Trent for just about her whole life. Trent and Charlie leave so Trent can go change. They never make it back. They end up going somewhere and spending the night. The next day some hurtful things were said which causes Charlie and Trent to never speak a word to eachother for 8 years. Just and Trent’s friendship takes a bit of a hit since Charlie leaves town all because of Trent.
8 years later, Charlie returns to her hometown of Sunnyville along with a job transfer. What will happen when Trent and Charlie see eachother? So much has happened. Trent has a lot to tell Charlie but, will he? Chapter 19/20 totally gets me and I was going to have to have words with the author. Haha!
You definitely don’t want to miss out on this great read. I cannot wait for book 2. Such a great read!

These books have really sucked me in by the ever so talented Hazel Storm! THE GOD is the second book in the HER THREE IMMORTAL series so I would highly recommend that you go get book one, THE DON before you dive into this one. That one is just as fab, but we pick up right where we left off in that one so you may be a tad left in the dark if you don’t start there. These books take one of my favorite subjects of Greek Mythology and really plays a wonderful spin on it that just is done so wonderfully that I can’t help but love every single moment I spend with the characters. The romance is done well and believable so that is always a plus for me as well. I loved this addition and will definitely be back for the next book that looks like it is due out very soon!

Yall, I said it before when I reviewed the first book in the Shadow Chronicles and I will say it again but these books are not your average vampire reads and everyone should go run and one-click them! They are just fab and I have become and instant fan of CR Robertson as a result. I love her knack for writing paranormal romance books and her ability to restore my faith in vampire reads once again. I used to love this genre and really really loved reading Anne Rice and whatnot but just became really burned out and sad when Twilight killed it, yes I know I am one of those that could have done without that whole franchise all together. Anywho Forbidden Mate took me on a magnificent ride and kept me reading late into the night. In fact it kept the hubby up too who may or may not be reading these now, oopsies lol. Not sorry actually. These books have something for everyone with action and adventure, intrigue and suspense and the underlying romance is enough to keep me so glued to the kindle I can’t bear it. I will most definitely be stalking and hoping for book three to be available soon!

This is such a cute story! Natalina Reis did such a great job at making the characters engaging and relatable. With a little twist here and there, a story that may have started as predicable became original in a cheeky and lovable way! Descriptions were on point and the flow was perfection! This story is emotional and raw. It also shows what a mother will do to protect her son. No length to too much. The struggle to find friends with a mental illness is real. But when you find out you don’t know if the voice you trust is real, how do you come back from that? This story is so real and happens every day in someone’s world. A lot goes in noticed. Mental illness needs more light shown and this book shined in my opinion.

Although this is book four in the series, it reads more like a prequel. It is about Lady Isra as a young, innocent witch before she turned to the dark side. We learn how she joined Wingdom Academy and met Everilda. Once best friends until a man came between them. Isra being young and inexperienced fell fir Jonathan. In the end, he broke her heart and she turned hell bent on revenge.
I enjoyed reading about her as a young girl and learning about her past. I was happy to see Astrid was part of the story and learning how he first became part of her life. Unfortunately there was a lot of repetition once again. I understood that her hair was chocolate brown and her eyes were like emeralds the first time that I read it. It didn’t need to be repeated constantly. The story felt rushed yet at the same time, it felt like there was information missing. I feel like the author should slow down so that she can better express herself better on paper.

Isra is a young witch with big plans, she is seventeen and wants to enrol in the Wingdom’s Academy of Ancient Magics to learn more magic, however, when she arrives the building is unassuming, apart from the very realistic gargoyles and the classes are boring, but she takes solace in the nature surrounding it. It is during one of these times that she meets a fellow witch with whom she thinks she will get on with, Everilda, another young witch but she seems to be more interested in romance and boys than she is in the craft, but they hit it off despite this.
On another day, Isra is waiting for Everilda in a meadow so that they can spend some time together, but instead of Everilda turning up, it is a mysterious young man, he isn’t showing any signs of magic, but he is attractive and captivating and because she is quite naïve and inexperienced, the fact that he is paying attention to her is a bit of a novelty. She keeps distant yet polite with him and he introduces himself as Jonathan, but is also wary because of the rules of the college, however, she contemplates spending more time with him and she cannot wait to tell Everilda all about it when she gets back to the Academy. This is where Everilda starts to drift away from Isra because it turns out that she also has intentions towards this man, but Isra has come to the attention of a light bringer named Samuel who sends his right hand raven Astrid to observe and report on her actions after hearing of her future.
As time passes and Isra’s relationships with Everilda and James develop, they become more complicated and when Isra finds out that she is involved in a love triangle, she is devastated and cannot believe it, but will she be able to forgive and forget and will Astrid and the light bringers be able to keep her on the path of light, or will the darkness prevail? This is a fantastic story with twists, turns and magic galore which will draw you in to a magical world, while explaining beginnings and the consequences of interfering with the emotions and lives of others until you reach its conclusion.

This book was definitely outside of what I normally choose. I’m glad I took a chance on this book! I kept in mind what was prefaced before the book even started and how this story even came to light.
While I wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a traditional thriller, it was definitely psychologically suspenseful at times. The consideration of how Branson’s voices and hallucinations manifested as well as the way his mother handled what was unfolding kept me very invested.
I’ve read a few books that contain characters with mental illness but I found this one to be one that really creates a supportive pull for all involved. I understood the rationale for the father, Ed and his role in the initial PTSD diagnosis but I felt that he was an inconsistent plot point.
I am definitely interested in reading the second book of this series, The Divided Twin.

This is the second book I have read by this author which I enjoyed just as much as the first one. This is a young adult story about Rocky and what happens when he is accused of stealing. He is a young man who has plans until his suspicions that Ted is trying to frame him. What will happen to him? Will he prove his innocence and prove that Ted is really behind this? I enjoyed his character and what he brought to the story. The secondary characters gave great support. They all kept the story engaging and wanted to know what would happen next to them. This is well written and the realistic feel and details are great. I really enjoyed this book and it would be great for any young adult. I highly recommend this book.

The Sound of Silence Audio Book by Dakota Willink is a gripping and intense story that literally had my pulse racing. For so much of this book I found myself on the edge of my seat. It almost felt like I was right there with Gia and there were times when my heart was in my throat at the thought of what was about to happen. The author has done such an incredible job with this book. It is heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. I loved how she used the multiple POV’s to really add depth to the story. For me it made it even better. This book definitely contains triggers so for those that may be sensitive of them I would say read with caution. However I also cannot recommend this book highly enough. It is easily my favourite one by this author and it is also one of the best books that I have listened to or read this year! I am already looking forward to experiencing this one again. An amazing and emotional book I would urge everyone to pick up today!!!

Dire’s Club by Kimberly Packard is such a unique and interesting book that really pulled me in from the start. I loved the concept of the final bucket list trip and how the author has gone about creating that idea. I thought that all the characters were so well written. They each had their part to play and fit the book so well. This is still a relatively new author for me and I really enjoyed how this book is completely different to the other books of hers that I have read. I think this one has to be my favourite book so far and it one I would highly recommend.

This is the 1st murder mystery book I have read. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. This is book one of the Stripped series and it’s a spin off of the Bruised series. Forbidden Mate (The Shadow Chronicles Book 2) by CR Robertson. This book was amazing. The first book was good too and I would suggest reading it first but this book just blew everything out of the water. Its a fast paced story full of paranormal romance, drama, and vampires. This is the conclusion of Tasha and Levi’s story and it will shock you to the core. Things are more complicated as the battle continues between the Vamps and the Lycans. Castus is still totally obsessed with Tasha and will stop at nothing to have her even though she wants nothing to do with him. This is the telltale sign of whether Tasha and Levi make it and it will keep you flipping pages until you are finished. Tasha is still finding out about her powers and how to use them and of course her relationship with Levi is causing all kinds of destruction. This book is so good and I hope you will all read it.

This is my favorite story by this author. There is drama and action and the characters have real world problems to overcome. This also is a triangle style that I have not read before. That alone made this intriguing on how the author handled this situation.
I really enjoyed these characters and storyline. They made me smile and I easily identified with them. I loved each of their jobs. Levi’s especially is very different and interesting. That is something that makes a book stand out to me. The uniqueness of the characters and plot.
The only thing I felt was iffy in here is the complete turn around of one character. This person is combative, full of their self and showy. I just couldn’t see that type of person showing tears and all of a sudden…nice. Maybe as time goes by..changes could occur…like the epilogue..that fits. I think I looked at all these characters as “real world” and I forgot they are fictional and can do anything. Anyway this is a blip in an otherwise wonderful story.
This is not my first book by this author but I feel it is her best. The story moves along at a good pace and I was drawn Into these lives. This is well rounded and I enjoyed it.

This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals series. This book is giving me book hangover 🤕… in a good way.
Also, if you liked Beauty and the Beast, I truly think this is a GREAT retelling with an Underworld and Alice in Wonderland twist. I didn’t catch on to this until after I finished the book and started thinking about the characters.
