Nick has always had a tramtuic time dealing with hanging after his wife’s death. Angela is always on his mind. Each of the three main characters had their own story which interview with one another. Nick has to investsge these suicides as he doesn’t believe this is the case is it or isn’t it. Very well paced and written. Highly recommended.

Charlie has spent the last eight years in Denver, avoiding her home town like the plague after her last encounter with her brother’s best friend Tank. Denver was great. She had her dream job and her fiancée, until she didn’t. After ending the engagement, Charlie decided there wasn’t much worth sticking around Denver anymore as much as she loved her job so back home to Sunnyville it is. She knew there would be no way to avoid Tank so she decides to be proactive and clear the air and just try to be friends with him. Tank has other ideas. He may have promised Jude he wouldn’t run her out of town again but what if he can get it all right this time. He has to take a chance.
I loved Tank and Charlie. I definitely felt for Charlie at the beginning and felt so bad that Tank was pushing her away. This book was really good and I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry!

This book was absolutely amazing. This is my first book by this author. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I loved the characters’ interaction with each other. I felt that I was there with them. This was beautifully written. I highly recommend this book.

She was only a way in to bringing the whole house of cards down, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with the Mafia Princess.
Theo has dedicated his career as a cop to hunt down the bad guys and bring them to justice none so more that the Rossi’s, a mafia stronghold in the community which needs chopping off at the top but while he was trying to infiltrate into the ‘Family’ he did not expect to fall for the person he was trying to use to get in.
Arya is the oldest daughter in the Rossi family and her life has been planned out from an early age, being a Lawyer was never really her choice but now with her father asking her to make a decision to represent the family she is torn. Until she meets Theo, she knows that she should not be attracted to him, he is determined to destroy her family and if her family found out they would kill him but the attraction is too strong to just let it be a fleeting glance.
Can Arya and Theo make the relationship work or are they fighting against each other and the good and bad they both represent.
I love a good forbidden, angst love story and this one is up there, the characters are brilliantly written and draw you into the story from the first words written. Although the differences within there backgrounds it was nice to see that not all characters are shallow. The character of Arya although sheltered alot from the family business was not a whimpering woman in the corner but showed within her character that she was strong deep down and played brilliantly against the straight laced follow the law character of Theo.
The book was well written and the story held me all the way to the end, although this is the first book I have read by this author I will definitely be reading more in the future.

Christian is caught between two worlds, his world of vampires and the human world, can he convince the Consulate that his love for a human women can be granted.
Christian Tuscano is one of the twelve vampires which collectively are the Masters of the Consulate but Christian has fallen for a women he should have no right loving as a vampire but he has to try and convince them that he needs to be with Delilah but when the consulate make there decision it is not to be, but this does not deter Christian.
When tragedy happens can he forgive himself for the action he is about to do to save the women he loves without her permission or the consulate.
This is the second story in the Masters of the Consulate series and I think this is my favourite book out of the two so far. This is a very modern twist on the love story and is a great world to delve into and let your imagination run wild. Delilah’s character speaks volumes to me with her strong and unswerving character that you can really see the determination in her actions that she is not going to be the victim and try to make whoever pay.
The two main characters are well match and when reading there story you don’t feel that the author has rushed any feelings or chemistry with them, they flow and ebb nicely through the book and with the fantasy element to the story it makes a brilliant read.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series or other books by this wonderful author.

An Enduring Love is a great historical romance novel by Wareeze Woodson. I have recently become a fan of Wareeze Woodson and her books have made me a fan of historical romance which I wasn’t very keen on before. I really enjoyed Rebecca and Rhys’ story. I have to say that for a while I was not a fan of Rhys at all. He really annoyed me with his reaction to Rebecca’s return and his pining for another woman. Thankfully he redeems himself and I loved him by the end of the book. There is so much more than just a historical romance going on in this book. I really enjoyed the storyline that’s filled with drama, intrigue and danger. I was pulled into this story from the very beginning and was entertained right up to the very end. I’m always a fan of children in books and young Johnnie is adorable. He’s such a little scene stealer. This is a really great historical romance that I would definitely recommend to others.

Hanging Softly in the Night: A Detective Nick Larson Novel by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra is the first book I have read by this author, and I am impressed. Maria takes us through a complex plot that she has intricately woven together and given us not one but three plots that will run you ragged. The pace is steady as everything is revealed along the way, but they are not to be outdone by the spectacular ending. Maria has wonderfully crafted a tale that will keep you turning page after page after page as we run through police procedures and investigations with complex and believable characters. We also go on the hunt for a killer to bring to justice. We deal with trauma and mental illnesses, loss and grief and so much more. If Nick needs a partner, I am sure I am now qualified after reading this book. I can not wait for what comes next.

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set 1: 3 Cozy Christian Mysteries by K.L. Montgomery is a great way to get the books, so you don’t have to wait. A one stop shop. I have read a lot of KL’s books and I never get tired of reading them no matter what it is. She is a must read and her narrative is always a lot of fun.
Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series. It is a YA story of a young amateur sleuth on a quest for answers. I am sure Nancy Drew fans will love this story. In true KL style the message in the story is about body positivity. This cozy mystery is a feel-good fun read.
Mystery at the Marina: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the second book in the Dangerous Curves series and is just as good as the first. Sunshine are her friends are on the case and looking into why marine life is suddenly dying but as usual nothing is as straight forward as it seems. With mystery and suspense and a lot of adventure and loveable characters you just can’t go wrong.
Shooting at the Shore: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the third book in the Dangerous Curves series, and we are once again drawn into trouble with this whodunnit. I have enjoyed all three books but this one is probably my fav so far. I enjoy reading books that K.L. writes as they are fun and quirky and a little dangerous and make you laugh.
5 Stars Repair (Rescue Me Book 1) by Trish Williford
Repair is a fast paced second chance romance that will pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. There are a few times it really pulled at my heart strings. Charlie and Tank hook up when they are younger and he was grieving the loss of his father. She went on to finish nursing school and takes a job as a trauma nurse. She finds herself going back home after hearing the news that her fiancé got someone else pregnant. Charlie and Tank have a chemistry between them that is off the charts. Can these two get their second chance at love? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Being a fantasy/sci-fi novel, Journeys Through SpaceTime is not my typical go-to choice for reading. However, I always love a good world-building series, and this book delivered. Author James Talisman’s debut novel explores the classic Good vs Evil theme, in a very original yet comfortably familiar manner. As indicated by the title, the story takes place over different periods in time. Readers will follow many different characters, points of view, and story lines. All are joined by the over lying central idea that we are all One and connected in the universe. Although I enjoy flipping back and forth between perspectives, this book does it consistently and it did take some time to establish the actual plot due to the level of character description used to develop so many points of view. The language and thinking of the characters is very formal, which may have been a tool used by the author to show how the characters are all connected in the MultiVerse. I was left with the impression that the book could be easily adapted into a TV series, as the chapters felt like episodes and many of the character’s story lines would make excellent separate books on their own. By the end, I had fallen in love with many of the characters and looked forward to discovering how the story would unfold. I also look forward to reading book two.

Linda Burson, a native of Pennsylvania, but long time Connecticut resident, has been writing ever since she was given a writing assignment in school, at the age of eight. Later, as a teenager, she started out writing memoirs and attempted several nonfiction pieces.

This was a great 2nd chance romance. Once I started I was pulled right in. We start out eight years in the past and we discover why Charlie stayed away so long. Now she is moving back after a huge betrayal by her fiance. She’s going to be working at the local hospital. Tank is Charlie’s best friend and he is the reason she left. She isn’t sure how things will go the first time she sees him.
Tank is surprised to hear Charlie is coming back to town. He has been waiting years to finally be able to talk to her. What will happen when they talk for the first time? Can they finally get what they both dreamed of?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I loved all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. I will also laugh when I think of red glitter. The characters had great chemistry and I loved reading their story. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

The God is book 2 in Hazel Storm’s Her Three Immortals series. I loved book 1 and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on book 2. Vanessa is back and giving Grey a run for his money! There is so much going on but I loved diving into the continuation of this story.
After her appearance in the underworld, Grey leaves her alone in his Penthouse telling her that she doesn’t belong there. But she doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Grey is doing what he can to keep her at arms length. He knows that if he lets himself get to close his vow to abstain will not last.
My heart breaks for the situation that Raef is in, missing the girl that he loves. I want to throttle Grey for being so rude. And I haven’t come to a firm conclusion yet for how I feel about Aroz. What I do know, is that Vanessa is coming out of her cocoon, if you will, and is amazing. Who will feel threatened and how will they react?

5 Stars Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow Novel Book 5) by India Kells
Dark Bastard is the fifth book in the Dark Sparrow’s Series by India Kells. I highly recommend reading the first four books if you haven’t already started them. Although this can be read as a standalone reading them in order will help in understanding what is going on and you get to meet the other brothers as well. This is a wonderfully written Romantic Suspense that once you start reading you won’t want to put down till you finish. This I must say is my absolute favorite yet. I’m a huge fan of this author and she never disappoints that’s for sure. This is Sam and Ellie’s story. Both of them have dark pasts and are both thinking about ending their lives. Sam accidentally misdials and ends up getting Ellie . These two are intense and will have you turning the pages while on the edge of your seat. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Wow this is a very good read! I love the Celtic vibe wrapped in this fantasy book with romance and magic. Saoirse has so much going on, playing music in a pub, gets fired as a barista, finds out her father passes away and finds out she is adopted! Saoirse’s grandmother offers for her to come live in Cork with her. Smithy, whom is a blacksmith, also loves to play music. When Smithy and Saoirse meet they make music and sparks happen! Hawke was a great read! This is definitely a dark and graphic romance story, with some possible triggering points for people who have went through abuse in their life. I couldn’t stop reading this book. Once I started I couldn’t stop. It completely enthralled me. While I felt some of the storyline was drug out and wishy-washy, I also feel like it added to the story. This a completely thrilling romance that will keep you in its grip the whole read. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

Dark Bastard is the 5th book in A Dark Sparrow Novel series by India Kells. First of all, I have enjoyed other books written by Ms. Kells. She is one of my favorite authors that I discovered in the last year and a half. I would caution readers that reading this series in order would be most beneficial. Each book shares the story of the 6 brothers which help make this such a wonderful series.
The book did not disappoint, it is action packed full of interesting characters and brings together two people in turmoil when they need each other the most. Both Sam and Ellie are tired of giving their all to others and feel they are close to ending their lives. A misdialed call between the two of them on New Years Eve starts a connection they never expected. Can the two of them help each other in ways they never expected? I’ll leave that for you to find out.

Cute Rom-Com This was an easy quick-read, romantic comedy that had several laugh-out-loud moments. The characters were relatable and the story had a good flow. The romance was clean and very little fuss. It does have a ‘You’ve got mail’ vibe but with its own little twists. A nice escape story that can easily be read in an afternoon.

An Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson was a first time read for me by Ms. Woodson. While this genre is not normally my thing, I took a chance and dived right in with this novel. While I feel the beginning was slow to grab my interest Ms. Woodson did give us wonderful characters and an interesting take on a newlywed romance. But while the story abs characters interested me, I found myself struggling with some of the characters characteristics. But all and all I was an interesting read.

Hanging Softly in the Night will suck you right into the story. Nick Larson and Laura Howard are two characters that you will love.
Detective Nick Larson hadn’t slept much last night. But the Sixteenth Precinct of the NYPD is having a flu outbreak, so it’s all hands on deck. He and his partner, Victor Sacco, have been called in. Arriving at the scene, the Forensic Investigator Division is already in the process of obtaining information. Forensic Investigator Tish Ramos who is the lead investigator tells the detectives that this is the second scene like this that she has had in the last two months. The scene is that of a woman hanging in the sunroom. The scene is too neat. It doesn’t look like a typical hanging scene.
Laura Howard, Nick’s friend and the woman he loves, is having problems of her own. During the past year, Laura was arrested for her husband’s murder. She would have been convicted if Nick hadn’t found that one piece of evidence that convinced the court that she didn’t do. Added to that terrible ordeal, Laura finds out that she has a crazy twin sister that she never knew anything about it. Now her bakery and catering business, Les Gateaux Riches, is in jeopardy. Her business had faltered after her incarceration. Now, someone is writing negative reviews.
Detectives Larson and Sacco are puzzled by their case and as more of these questionable suicides land on their desks, Nick hopes they aren’t dealing with a serial killer. Really enjoyed this next part in the story, after The Girl and the Raven. We learn lots more about these awesome characters, and see a few new ones as well. Is it wrong I am still kind of rooting for Dylan to get between the girl and her Gargoyle? I know the Gargoyle is meant to be a protective beast, but Marcus sometimes veers into the controlling for me. Or maybe I just like the bad boy? I digress. Lucy gets to know dear old dad a lot better, and his character is a lot more nuanced in this book. The plot is great, full of action, and I really enjoyed it. This is a great series I will enjoy following.

Flirting with my Enemy is a sugar-sweet romance with a dash of mystery. Zane cuts a dashing profile, with his good looks, billionaire bank account, and British accent and manners. Elle is determined to catch him sabotaging her business, but without a malicious bone in her body, she isn’t too great at playing the conniving seductress. The book keeps up the suspense of whether Zane is the saboteur or storybrook prince in Elle Brook’s fairy tale.
I liked that Burton was able to deliver some seriously sultry vibes whilst keeping everyone’s clothes on. This Romcom definitely had its share of “meet cutes” and misunderstandings that are typical to the genre. Definitely a feel-good cozy book to curl up with.

Hold Me Forever is book three in the Heron Harbour series by Lea Nolan. This story is a great addition to the second chance genre, and the author adds her own clever spin to it. Lark is an artsy free spirit that goes back home after years of being away, hoping she doesn’t run into her past. Hunter is one mistake she is wanting to forget, but as we all know, all is fair in love and war. Hunter wants her back and will use any means necessary to win back her heart.
Hold Me Forever was an easy to read romance, with many colourful characters to keep things flowing and entertaining. Emotions aplenty, this story was passionate, endearing and addictive. A captivating addition to the Heron series and a wonderful cast of energetic and eclectic characters. A real entertainer. 4 stars.

Carrie Pulkinen killed this book in the best way! Supernatural and spooky with all the sass! I was so in love right from the start! Narration was awesome and easy to listen to! 10 out of 10 I wish I could give this more stars! The push and pull of the main characters was perfect! Definately worth the listen!

This is the second book in this series and it is just as fast paced as the first book! Master Tuscano is a very dominant male who finds his mate, Delilah, in a bit of a bind. He avenges her and it costs her humanity. While she comes into her own right as a dominant female, they continue to fight the Big Bad that is attacking vampire’s way of life.
The development of the female character’s friendships draw you in to the story. It’s very easy to identify with the need to protect what is yours and want to defend it all costs!

Charlie and Trent hook up while he was grieving his father. They both say things that are hurtful and push the other away. Charlie goes off to Denver to finish nursing school and decides to stay and work in a trauma center. After a long engagement and weeks before the wedding to a man she works with, another nurse comes forward and says she is pregnant with his child. Charlie’s world collapses and she decides to move home. She knows Trent is still in their home town and she also knows she can’t avoid him as he is her older brother’s best friend. But can she just be friends with him? I love the layers in their relationship. They both have grown and have new looks on life but one thing has stayed the same, their love for each other. This is a beautiful love story, it is the only one I have read of The Everyday Heroes World and will be looking for the other books. Thank you for letting me into this world!!

I loved this sweet and spicy story of Charlie and Trent. This story unfold with a span of years as they have know each other for most of their lifetime. Charlie falls for Trent (aka Tank) when they are young. When Tank’s father passes away, Tank looks to Charlie to get away from it all. Tank has been through a lot with his mother’s passing and his abusive alcoholic father. After a one night stand, Tank leaves Charlie hurt and drives her away with very unkind words. Years later after Charlie gets her nursing degree and stays in Denver for a few years, she returns home, as she was hurt by her ex-fiancee’s infidelity that leads into a baby. Tank and Charlie still have the sparks from long ago, but will their be forgiveness on past hurts? I was rooting for Tank and Charlie for their happily every after like a few characters in the book were. This story is really fantastic and very hard to put down and I highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance like I do!
