I really enjoyed the second book in the Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. I don’t usually read this particular genre but I really liked book 1 and the authors writing I felt was really engaging and enjoyable to read. Again I was quickly absorbed into what I was reading; the author’s descriptive language makes for great world building. The characters are very creative and I liked reading about them. I enjoyed following Link and Ommily again in this story, they definitely had some obstacles to face this time – I loved reading about them! The story does have quite a few layers to it which made it more exciting to read, I found myself easily lost in what I was reading! I think this book definitely needs to be read after book 1 to fully understand everything going on. I definitely recommend this series!!

High Flyer by Michelle Diener is the fourth book in the Verdant String series but can be read as a stand alone! I was not aware this was the fourth book until i picked it up, but it was still great nonetheless! I have never been a big fan of sci-fi adventures but i absolutely gobbled this one up in one sitting! Michelle Diener weaves a fast paced tale with all sorts of emotional rollar coasters with everything from betrayal, to adventure, all just all around drama! I certainly loved this book, and I will definitely go back to read the first three and i recommend you do too! I can not wait to see more from this author!
This book is about a woman called Morgan who gains an odd ability to see ghosts after she undergoes a brain surgery.
I really enjoyed this book! It was really realistic and the majority of Morgan’s responses were how an ordinary person would react with ghosts and other traumatic things occurring, which I really appreciated! I really liked the writing style and I loved Savannah, the best friend, as well as the other people who worked at the hospital she worked at.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to read something paranormal but doesn’t want to be scared! It’s not a horror or thriller so it’s more accessible, in my opinion, to a wide variety of readers. The last chapter was slightly rushed, in my opinion, and although I was satisfied with the ending, I did want more. Although, it is the first in a series so maybe that’s why it stops where it does.

I think it’s fair to say I don’t even bother reading the synopsis for the books now by Ms Ferguson, I just grab it and settle down for what I know is going to be a wonderful read and as expected this was just that. I love how even after so many great stories everyone feels so new, nothing is repeated, no storyline is the same and every character is unique but they are always likeable and relatable. Ashley and Brian’s story was heart-warming to read, a perfect second chance romance. When they reunited after some time apart I could just tell that they were prefect for each other, their connection was sweet and genuine. I was definitely lost in their story and was rooting for them the whole way through. As always I highly recommend this and any book by this author, I am never disappointed by her writing and would definitely urge people who haven’t picked up on of her many books to do so!!

I was so excited to see a new release from this author and addition to this fantastic series, I have loved every single book, the whole series has been an emotional rollercoaster and I love the second generation coming through now with their own stories. I loved this book, reading about Conor again was just amazing – I loved him from the start and still do now and reading about him alongside Donal and their journey was brilliant. I was hooked from beginning to end; Lara Ward Cosio puts so much into her writing, the detail, and the explanations everything. I loved the connection that Conor and Donal had both at a junction in their lives – it was great to see them coming together to help each other out. I am gutted that this this final book in the series but all good things must come to an end and I think she has definitely outdone herself with this conclusion. I honestly recommend this story and series so much – I have loved it from beginning to end!

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series #3) By R.L. Dunn 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Secure Heart (Chase Security Series #3) by R.L. Dunn. It is a story that once I started, I was hooked. I love the characters of Julian “Smooth” Dupart and Holly Dupree Morrison. Julian is a man who has taken the helm at Chase Securities branch in San Diego. He has discovered problems that include substandard care of patients. He is a man who works hard and because of the past doesn’t easily let anyone into his heart. Then he meets Holly. Holly is an amazing singer whose whole life revolves around her music and her daughter, Sadie. She has found herself in need of a security team. She then meets Julian. Both Julian and Holly find themselves in the path of danger. Will those who wish them harm be caught? Will Julian let Holly and Sadie into his heart? Read this book to find out. I love that Holly is a strong and independent woman. She also realizes when she needs help and finds herself putting more and more trust in Julian. I grew to care about Julian, Holly, and Sadie with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. This story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. There are also romantic moments. The author does an amazing job of writing a story with characters that come alive and that you can root for their success. Don’t miss out on this wonderful book. You won’t be able to put it down.

Such a fun read. I really enjoyed this story and the period that was portrayed. The characters were all really nicely written and the storyline flowed nicely, I was never bored and couldn’t stop reading. I always feel sad for characters that have arranged marriages, some cases it works out nicely, but in Bridget’s case it did not. I was devastated for her when her ship was seized by pirates and they killed off the entire crew except her, and then she gets rescued by the wonderful Valan. You can tell throughout the story that there is real chemistry between Valan and Bridget. Bridget is so sweet to fall in love with Valan only to leave him to fulfill her promise to her clan to marry the laird Rodrick. I liked the the evil that was placed in this story in the form of the greedy Rodrick. Fighting through some trials together, find out if Bridget and Valan can truly be together. The ending was sweet, steamy, and surprising. This is my first book by this author and after reading this one, I can’t wait to see what else Mrs. Siddoway has to offer.

I loved this sweet little romance. There’s a little bit of heartbreak but there’s also music and banter. I really connected to the characters and emotions of the story. I do love a Scottish character. This ‘opposites attract’ storyline is flirty, passionate and full of chemistry, and the pacing was perfect. An easy read.

Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan is book five of the Jake Wolfe series. Though it’s part of the series, this book can also be read as a standalone. This book is non stop action and does well at holding your attention! This book all too well can be related to real life which pulls you in even further because you think ‘what if’.
Jake and his ever faithful war dog Cody are at it again. So much happens in this book I couldn’t possibly do it justice but I’ll say, it all starts with a trip to Alaska. I’m sure when Jake planned to go fishing he had no idea what would happen next.
This book is so timely with everything happening in the world right now related to COVID. Totally relatable and definitely pulls you in!

The Guard: A Soppranaturale Series: Book 2 by Ashley Pagano is an original story which is a paranormal fantasy. This intriguing story has everything to make it a fun and engaging read just like the first book in this series. Ashley has created a world that is easy to get lost in and she has given us characters and a storyline that comes to life. This story picks up from where the last one left off so you should read it first before diving in to this one.

This is the 4th book in the Reigning Hearts Series and i enjoyed it just as much as the previous books in this series. This book can be read as a standalone and i love that about this series but i liked the other books enough that i would defidently recommend reading them in order! I liked that the author was able to pull me in and and kept me interested throughout the entire book. The main characters are what made this book a great one though! They were relatable and the type of people that would be awesome to hang out with. I loved seeing where their story was headed and it honestly made me wish for a rockstar of my own lol! I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i think anyone who likes rockstar romances, would love this one! Happy Reading Ya’ll!

I enjoyed this sports romance story. This is a well written story that has characters that made me feel as if I was right there with them. I had no issues connecting with them as they brought the story to life. They are well rounded which made the story easy to read and entertaining. Hunter wants nothing more than to prove that there is more to him than just ranching. Kennedy is out to prove that females can be just as strong in a male dominated world. When their worlds come crashing together, what will happen? Could one article change things for them? I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. They are strong and supportive and truly made great characters. I could easily imagine myself with them. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed this book. It is the third book in this series. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series as they are just as enjoyable as this one. This is a second chance romance story that is fast paced and engaging. The characters are well developed and are full of heart and soul. They bring the story to life and really made it pop. I had no problems connecting with them with each page I turned. I was pulled into the story with ease from the beginning to end. This story is about Julian and Holly. Julian is a widow and former Navy Seal and is in charge of running Chase Group in San Diego. Holly is an artist who seems to get involved with the wrong men. She also has a stalker who wants to kill her. What will happen when she hires Chase Security? Will Julian be able to protect them? This story is full of action and romance. I enjoyed their chemistry and watching them grow throughout the story. I had a hard time putting their story down and I think you will too. I highly recommend their story and this author.

Distant Heart Sounds was a pleasant surprise! I’ll be the first to admit that paranormal anything is not my normal genre. It took me a minute to get into the story, but I immediately liked the characters, especially Morgan and her co-workers/friends in the EC.
Morgan Cutler is a long time career nurse in the EC of the Good Sam hospital. She doesn’t have any family left, but has made her own family. After a very serious and life changing surgery, she has found that some aspects of her life are very different. Lucky for Morgan her friends and the new doctor on the floor are very accepting and intrigued.
I really enjoyed this novel. The writing was wonderful and the characters very fun! I am hoping there is more to come for Nurse Morgan Cutler!

Fletcher I’ll See You Again is the fourth book in The Reigning Hearts Series by K.G. Fletcher and by far my favorite of this series yet. Wow I absolutely loved this story and had the hardest time putting it down once I started reading. This author simply amazes me with her attention to detail and her ability to weave a story the way she does. Her characters are some of my favorite and they are easily relatable and fully developed. This is Mac (Reid) and Nicky’s story. She wants true love and he’s a Scottish rock star who’s on the edge of stardom. These two meet and he instantly struck with love. What does the future look like for these two? What will happen when he asks her to the kick off tour? Your guys find out what happens next in this fast paced must read. I’ll See You Again is the 4th book in the Reigning Hearts series by KG Fletcher, but it can be enjoyed as a stand alone book. Each book is it’s own story and from what I remember of the other books, I don’t think the characters overlap. This book is an opposite’s attract romance book about a Scottish rockstar and a small town wedding planner. They are complete opposites and I was happy to see them both able to pursue their dreams despite being on totally different paths when they meet. I love the theme of the book, and the characters. It is a sweet romantic, love at first sight book. There is some happy parts and some really sad parts, so be prepared with kleenex for this roller coaster ride. The book has a happily ever after, but it takes a bit to get there. I highly recommend this book, and all by KG Fletcher. Her books pull you right in and you wont want to put it down.

The Perfect Outcast by Melissa O. Hansen is a YA Dystopian Sci Fi and her writing, world building and characters makes it easy to get caught up in the storyline. It is an original premise that is creative so you can imagine the worlds of mortals and immortals and what they consider beautiful or not. But what is the definition of what one person perceives as beautiful as opposed to the next person. If I found it an interesting read the YA’s will definitely like it.
The Body Collector is the third book in the Bad Boys Of Space Series by Landra Graf. This book can be read as a standalone because this is the first book I fave read by this author. I truly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to go back and read the first two books. This Is Big Al and Loyda’s story. The chemistry between these two is out of this world. This book is full of twists and turns that had me reading long into the night, but it was worth the tiredness I felt all day today. I highly recommend this book.

I don’t even know where to start with my thoughts on this book. I loved Penny and her relationship with her sisters. They seem to have an incredibly close bond which I envy. The dynamic between the four woman made me smile, even if it wasn’t the full set.
Geo melted my heart for so many reasons, I think the biggest was his relationship with his nephew who sounded like a handful and then some. He has such a soft spot for Eliot and his sister Maggie.
I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve throughout the book. And could wait to see where their next adventure led. I laughed a lot and cried just a bit.
This is my first time reading anything by Ms. Williams, but it certainly won’t be the last.

Deadly Weapon (Jake Wolfe #5) by Mark Nolan was a great 5 star read. Once I started I couldn’t put it down, we get another great story from Jake and Cody.
Jake and Cody are working on stopping a deadly weapon from killing lots of innocent people. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next.
Will they be able to stop the weapon in time?
We get multiple POV’s which I really enjoy. We get action, mystery, adventure and so much more. There are several twists and turns that added a great element to the story. Not only is Holly in danger, but someone is gunning for Julian and Chase Security as well. Meanwhile, San Diego has been plagued by a serial kidnapper who tortures women and abducts their children. Hunter Masters wants nothing more than to get away from ranching.
Away from his family legacy his goal is to forge his own on the gridiron. Nothing will keep him from proving to everyone he is more than just the son of a former bull rider and a hardworking rancher.
Kennedy McGraw grew up in a world dominated by men. She was forced to hang up her cleats and put her football ambitions in the rearview. Now she has the opportunity to prove a woman is just as capable as a man in the sports world.
An accidental meeting in a locker room brings their worlds crashing together. Hunter has always been too focused on football to date but Kennedy changes his mind with her dodges.
As compelled to Hunter as Kennedy is, she does her best to keep him at arm’s length until she is forced to attempt their connection.
But a secret has the ability to tear them apart.
When all goes well, an article by K.D. comes out and could destroy their fledgling relationship.
Can they trust each other enough to overcome a scandal?
Romance author Brooke May spends her days writing whatever her overactive imagination has brewed up and her evenings reading while she works alongside her mom. Telling stories is second natural to her, from a young age she has told anyone who would listen what she had thought up. Now, a mom of two, she splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her beloved Bighorn Mountains.

Devil’s Claw: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller by Valerie Davidson Four Stars
Devil’s Claw is the third book in the Logan McKenna series by Valerie Davisson. This series keeps getting better and better. This book found Logan in the middle of a mystery. Logan and her daughter, Amy, found a baby otter pup and take it to the Sea Otter Center, and that is where all of the mayhem begins. This story had me up all night because I had to find out how this book ended. If you like book with action, adventure, mystery and did I mention, baby otters, this is the book for you. This book can be read as a standalone , but I highly recommend you read this series in order. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Davisson has in. Store for us next.

I have loved Copeland’s writing for a while and when I saw she was coming out with another “Perfect” tale I knew I had to read it. I was most definitely not disappointed. Chloe is a really fun character to read and connect to. The ever popular small town vs big city debate certainly plays a large role in this storyline. But overall it comes down to what the heart wants and who the heart wants. Copeland’s characters always have a way of sneaking in and grabbing my attention. This book will be one I will go back to enjoy many times over. Thank you so much, Ms. Copeland!
Another nail biter from Dunn! I really appreciate how she weaves suspense with romance while being respectful of both genres. Her books are written in such a way as they can be read and enjoyed as standalone. However I enjoy seeing the depth of the Chase agency and finding how each character introduced works within the ranks. Each story delves into a new characters and new situation. This book has a surprising small town feel with all sorts of unexpected drama and risk. I loved Elizabeth and felt an immediate pull to her. Loved this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Dunn – Review by Heather Lovelace
Valkyrie continues to impress with her ability to weave an involved storyline with complex characters and not lose track of the big picture. This continuation from book one definitely picks up where the first ended and is best appreciated if read in series order. You won’t fully appreciate the brilliance of the author’s words without book one – and brilliance is what you find in these pages. I love how Valkyrie has grounded these characters even within the fantasy/paranormal genre. Go ahead and pick up the origin story and book one when you grab this book. Once you start I promise you will want it all.
