The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2)
By Ashley Pagano
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2) by Ashley Pagano. It is a story that includes action, danger, romance, and magical beings. It is a book that pulled me in, and I was hooked. I love the characters of Link and Ommily. They have found each other and reading about their feelings for each other made me believe in true love and soulmates. This story has suspense and I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. What will happen when evil forces rise against the Soppranaturale hotel? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job in world-building and making both the storyline and the characters come to life on the pages. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interact with Link and Ommily. Many of them are helpful and help them take a stand against the forces that come against them. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that you will not be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Tompkin's School For The Dearly Departed (Supernatural Trilogy #2)Tompkin’s School For The Dearly Departed by Tabi Slick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous book first. I enjoyed this paranormal, fantasy story just as much as the first one. This story is full of magic powers and limits are pushed. Kain and Izara are back in this story with a battle between good and evil. They are faced with a newcomer that they are not sure they should trust. They must save the school. Will they do it or will the things lurking in the dark get them first? I enjoy the twins, they are among my favorite characters. They really do make the story for me and keep me turning pages just to see what they will do next. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

It Comes From Within (House Valdis #2)It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It Comes From Within (House Valdis Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie. I love this series! This is not my favorite genre but once I read the first book I couldn’t wait to read this one. This is the story of Xenobia who is still reeling from events in the first book. With trying to merge the 2 Houses and all the added responsibility Xenobia is overwhelmed to say the least. While in the process of rebuilding someone starts attacking House Valdis and its becoming more dangerous by the minute. Xenobia is finding out who her real friends are and is weeding them out as she goes. When she finds a illegal blood room and is interviewing everyone she finds out someone she trusted is not her friend. The White Queen also has Xenobia in her radar and she plans on taking her out as quick as she can so she can rule. This book is so good and keeps you turning the pages as fast as you can. I truly think you will enjoy it much more if you will read book one first. Do yourself a favor and read It Comes from Within now!

The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie – Review by Lianne Probert

The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil #2)The Saint of Liars by Megan Mackie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Saint of Liars is book two in the Lucky Devil series by Megan Mackie. If you haven’t already I would recommend starting with book one.

I really enjoyed this book, having already met some of the characters in book one I found it easier to follow and, as a result, more enjoyable.
This story is jam packed from the start, and the fast pace keeps your turning pages and wanting more. The story starts back with Rune, just a few months after where book one ended. She’s having problems both magical and financial. Rune is a character that you can’t help but like and, for me, she holds the book together. Rune’s past is not a happy story and unfortunately it’s starting to catch up with her. You meet some familiar faces again in book two. Saint Benedict is back and has his own troubles. I feel for this character, but sadly I didn’t quite like him as much in book two. You also get to meet some much-needed fresh faces who help to breathe life into this story.
If you like fast-paced action-packed stories then this one is for you.

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 3) by Ellen Butler – Review by Netania Lim

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery, #3)Diamonds & Deception by Ellen Butler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve been loving Ellen Butler’s Karina Cardinal Mystery series of late and this was no exception. Diamonds & Deception can be read as a standalone, although of course there are certain details that benefit from the context of the previous books. I love this series for its detailed intrigue and fast-paced action. The plotlines and antagonists are well-researched, even if this book has slightly darker themes compared to the previous ones. I really loved how this one focused on Karina as a lawyer, but also how her romance with Mike keeps growing and Karina’s sense of humour made me laugh aloud many times. A suspenseful read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Body Collector (Bad Boys of Space Book 3) by Landra Graf is a fast-paced shorter story that Landra has done a good job with the plot and the world building as well as the characterisation. I didn’t really know what to expect as I make a habit of not reading the blurb beforehand as I like to be surprised and let me tell you surprised, I was, but in a good way. With action and mystery, drama and suspense, danger and passion and let’s not forget the oozing chemistry.

A conspiracy, a wanted woman, danger and a fight to find the real perpetrator.

Rescued by Valan (The Pirates of Barra: Highland Raiders) by Jennifer Siddoway an original action adventure romance story. I am new to Jennifer’s writing style, but I found it easy to read and enjoyed the characters. The story starts off a little slow but soon picks up speed and intensity. Rookie Moves: A Quick Snap Novella by Tarrah Anders – Review by Angela Hayes

Rookie MovesRookie Moves by Tarrah Anders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rookie Moves (Quick Snap) by Tarrah Anders is a very entertaining sports romance- with all the right moves and plays to keep me flipping the pages to find out how everything turns out in the end.
Grant Toolson is a Rookie for the SPFT, he’s supposed to keep his head in the game- but he’s been gaining a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. Now he needs to clean up his act- or he’ll be forced off the team. He’s definitely got a lot of work to do. What happens next makes for a great read!
This story is part of Kristen Proby’s ‘With Me In Seattle’ universe. After reading this I am intrigued enough to want to explore the other books in that universe, too.
Rookie Moves is a really quick and easy read of under 100pages- a story you can easily read in one sitting, during a lunch break, or just before bed.
I always enjoy Ms. Anders stories and this book was no exception. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Thank you, Ms. Anders!

Oh my goodness, this book had me all over the place. I laughed and was happy, I got angry and even cried reading this book. I had a few moments where I really wasn’t happy with the direction of the story but it wouldn’t have worked any other way so I got over it. Sort of.

Nicky finally has her story with a little help from her friend Amber. What girl hasn’t dreamt of meeting a hot musician? I can remember quiet a few I dreamt about over the years.

Mac had me wrapped around his finger fairly early on and it only got worse (for me) as I read further.

I loved this story and the series. I’m not ready to say bye so I’m really hoping Amber gets to tell her story.

It Comes From Within (House Valdis #2)It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It Comes from Within is book 2 in the House Valdis series by Naomi Valkyrie. I did not read the first book, House Valdis, but I did read Xenobia. While I felt like there was a lot of background knowledge I was missing, it wasn’t detrimental to the story. I still really enjoyed it. I don’t normally read this genre, but am really glad I decided to read it. I honestly love it, and want to read more. There are a lot of characters, which was confusing at first. Some are werewolves, some vampires, etc so I had a hard time remembering who had what powers. I think reading book 1 first would have helped with that, so I recommend reading in order. The whole story line is very creative and the relationships between the characters is great. There was a sense of mystery in the book, trying to figure out who the White Queen is and the connection there. I was glad it wasn’t given away early on. There are a lot of adult themes so definitely for older readers. The story does have a cliff hanger ending so be prepared. I am anxiously awaiting the next book so I can see what happens.

A couple quick things before proceeding, if you have not read book 1, do so before reading this one as it is very helpful and you will be able to follow seamlessly into this story. Also, while this is not my chosen favorite genre, this author sure has a way to rope me right in and enjoy every word.

Xenobia is trying her best to everything needed with joining the 2 houses together and when a threat comes to be, will she be able to step up?
I really love these characters and can just picture everything that is happening.

Was a great 5 star read. This was a great historical romance, I was pulled right in by the authors writing.

Lady Bridget has an arranged marriage and is on her way to go through with the wedding, when her ship is overtaken by pirates. When she meets Valan there are instant sparks. Will the hot pirate interfere with her plans?

Valan is a new captain of the MacNeil clan, so getting a big treasure would be great. What he didn’t expect to find was a woman that he finds himself very attracted to.

We get so much in this great read, action, danger, romance, and so much more. I really liked both characters very much. They were perfect for each other. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, you feel like you are right there with the characters. This can be read as a standalone. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great pirate romance this is the book for you, 1-click and get started today.

The story Remember My Name (Remember My Name Series Book 1) by Laurencia Hoffman is a Romantic Suspense book. It’s my first book by Larencia Hoffman. The main characters in the story are Shane Coulter and Callan Reid. I’m also a fan of MM books, so I was super excited to read this right away. The world building and story execution are fantastic and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next installment. I loved reading the book Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series Book 9) by Lara Ward Cosio. Once I read the last page all I could say is “WoW!” It is a story that pulls you in from the beginning and then I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Conor Quinn as well as the son of Martin Whelan. The journey that they take could easily be a disaster. What happens on the journey? Read this book to find. This is a story that finds two souls on a journey that is an emotional one. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I highly suggest that the series be read in order. The characters are brought forward from one book to the next and I loved that I got to find out how their lives have progressed. I have loved this series since the very first book and highly recommend it. The author has an amazing way of making the storyline and the characters come alive. I loved reading the book Pharaoh’s Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 4) by Ellen Butler. It is a story that includes mystery, danger, as well as twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. It is a book that had me hooked from the very beginning. I love the character of Karina Cardinal. She is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and independent. Her boyfriend Mike believes that she always gets herself into sticky situations. This story has Karina going to Cancun. She is asked to bring a package along with her. Sounds easy right? What happens when she is in Cancun has her wondering what has happened to her well-deserved vacation. Read this book to find out what happens. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. There is never a dull moment in the situations that Karina finds herself in. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced. Some of them have been brought forward from previous books such as Mike and Rodrigo. Others have a selfish agenda that they will try at all costs to make happen. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that you won’t be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

4 Stars!!!!

Another adventure into the House of Valdis world and I was not let down. I really like the whole story line and the refreshing take on the supernatural. The characters just seem to come to life as you follow the story and drama. I like how the author has a unique and refreshing take on this. There are so many books now a days that are too close to another that I really find
it refreshing to have a story line and plot that is unique and original.

I really find the characters have a very unique bond that they have formed and the group just really outlines a great base for the book. I thought that the drama really was well laid out and that the basis of the story really draw the reader in. I really like how the author is able to draw upon the Xenobia’s past and show how it has shaped her to what she has become and also the way that she has to show she is not like the old Master and has to come into her own. I really look forward to reading more into this series and see how things unfold.

Deadly Weapon (Jake Wolfe #5)Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great story featuring Jake Wolfe and his war dog Cody. This one is non-stop action. If Jake isn’t taking down a plane he is running from a drone shooting at him. He is one guy that would be great to know but yet he wouldn’t because he always brings his work home. l need to say that I love his attitude. He has confidence in getting the job done anyway and anyhow which leads to his cockiness. Cody is just as animated as always. I love when we get chapters or snippets of a story from his POV. It’s always interesting.

We do get to see a large number of returning characters. From his girlfriend Sarah to Grinds his former military friend. I love all of this large cast. They each add to the story yet don’t overpower it.

As always I love reading the “Dear Reader” at the end of the book. Give it a look if you want behind the story scenes. This one might give nightmares.

I can only say Next Please!

Naomi Valkyrie has once again shown what an incredible author she is with this supernatural fantasy read.
This is a go-to genre for me but, this author really adds another level to it! She has created a storyline that is compelling, fast-paced and action-packed. All the while creating characters that really stand out and makes this story what it is, EPIC!

This read has got to be my favourite by far, it has to be read as part of the series for the reader to truly connect with the storyline and amazing characters. and be the incredibly captivating read that it is, but not only that you will not want to miss any detail of it!

I don’t want to give any of the story away so I’ll keep it brief, but I was once again left turning the pages wanting to find out more from these brilliant characters stories and the journeys they take along the way. Xenobia is back showing how strong, independent and totally epic she is! I loved that this book is written in various POV’s it gives you an even better understanding of the characters and helps you connect with them even more!

This book is one that you will not want to put down, its exciting, action-packed, suspenseful and epic in every way possible!
