This is the 4th book in the Reigning Heart series but because the books are standalone they don’t have to be read in that order.
It is a beautifully written love story with heartbreak in so make sure you have some tissues. The writer does an excellent job with the characters you cant help but get caught up in their journey.
Nicky is a wedding planner in a small town. After she had her heartbroken by her ex she thinks she will never find love again. That is until a Scottish musician plays in her friends bar. And the connection is made.
Mac is a famous rock star who’s about to embark on a world tour with his band. The last thing he expected to find was love until he met Nicky.
The couple’s connection is so strong but with Mac leaving and heartbreak on the horizon can they survive what the world is throwing at them?

Book three in Davisson’s ‘Logan McKenna Mystery Series’ and having read the previous two novels in the series I was looking forward to this one and was definitely not disappointed. Back with our fearless and extremely likeable and relatable independent heroine Logan McKenna I felt as though I was back with an old friend, as she has another mystery to solve. This novel sees Logan at a good point in her life, with a new job, plenty of time for her love of music and with daughter Amy home, Logan feels that her new life is just beginning. Logan and Amy rescue an orphaned sea otter pup and this leads them to Jasper’s Sea Otter Centre where they help nurse the pup back to health. The Sea Otter Centre soon gets swept up in the property claim of Lot 429, a stretch of gorgeous coastal property which a lot of powerful players have their sights on including two fighting half siblings. When this leads to a murder of someone close to Logan, she begins to investigate and discovers resentments, greed and painful loss attached to Lot 429. The community must step up and help stop the killer before they strike again and before Logan herself becomes their next victim. This was Logan’s third mystery and I was hooked from page one and the story kept me gripped until the very last page. The storyline was action packed and fast paced with a plot that kept me guessing until the end. The characters are all well defined and fascinating in their own right but Logan really does hold the story together, for me. It can be read as a standalone novel but the reader will have a better understanding of Logan’s backstory if the series is read in order. I look forward to future books in this exciting series.

This is a book for the over 18’s only due to scenes of an adult nature.
This is the story of Olivia and Gabe. Olivia is a 26 year old graduate from law school who is sure she knows where her life is heading, until she is placed in a predicament where she has to give it all up, move to a new city and find a new job with only the clothes on her back and in two suitcases. Gabe is a senior partner in his father’s law firm with an eye for the ladies and an arrogant, playboy attitude.
We begin with Olivia as she leaves her old life behind to start a new one in the first place she points to on the map. This just happens to be New York City, so she packs her bags, gets in her car and drives there, she is in pain and disbelief, as to what she just walked in on and this is the reason she has to leave.
Next we meet Gabe, he is conducting interviews for a new junior partner for his father’s law firm, he is unimpressed by the candidates so far and after 4 of them, he needs to see how many more he has to deal with. He is unimpressed to find that there are still four more, that is until he sees a beautiful woman waiting to be seen and is completely shocked by the effect she has on him. He eventually makes his way through three more run of the mill candidates and finally calls her in.
It is at this moment that Gabe shakes Olivia’s hand and she is taken aback at the reaction she has to him as well. She is honest, straight forward and a breath of fresh air after all the others he had to put up with today, as she continues with the interview, he realises that his thoughts earlier were correct and that she was the perfect person for the position and so makes her an offer that she can’t refuse, but not something that he should be offering in the first place because his offer is a complete lie, apart from the job.
Gabe has to make a few calls which go over well, although he is seriously risking a lot for her, he can’t help it, as unbelievable as it is to those he speaks to.
What will the future hold for these two complete opposites? Will the lies and secrecy rip them apart or bring them closer together? Only time and experience will tell.

The Body Collector by Landra Graf is the third book in the Bad Boys of Space series. This can be read and enjoyed as a standalone story. The story focuses on Big Al and Loyda. The two of them are in opposite parts of society but happen upon one another. Can one possibly be able to help the other? I enjoyed the characters and the space setting. It gives the story a bit of unrealness but still grounded in a futuristic reality. This story is a quick read and has action, adventure, twists, turns, and romance. There is something for almost everyone who wants to get away for a bit. I see this series as getaways from the seriousness of life. Don’t we all need that this year? I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is a very engaging story about Alina, she is a teenager with all the issues that comes with it, hormones, blemishes and imperfect teeth, but she is not as normal as she seems, she lives in a place filled with perfection and being imperfect as she is, makes her stand out in a way she does not want.
We start the journey within this book at school with Alina, in her biology class and this is where we discover where the book is based, in Pria, as well as a bit about the people living there. During this lesson we discover why Pria is known for its perfection and what this means for Alina and the other residents, as well as why Alina is different. Later on in history, more about the leader of Pria is revealed, as well as the repercussions which may happen if someone speaks about him in a less than friendly manner.
It is here that we find out more about Alina and how she is ostracised by the community she lives in, how she experiences life and how this all makes her feel. It also starts to uncover the relationships she has with those she lives with and those whom she hopes to be friends with. These relationships reveal things about herself and Pria which she never expected to hear and would never have believed if she wasn’t the imperfect being she is.
When things start to go wrong for Alina, she has to discover if perfection is all it’s cracked up to be and whether it is worth paying the price demanded for it.
The journey which Alina must now go on means that she has to discover new strengths of character which she didn’t know she possessed, as well as finding the strength to become who she is meant to be, but will all of this newness overwhelm her, or will she be able to step up and stand up for herself and those around her?
Thomas, Hunter and Olivia have been friends for years, since their early school years in fact, but one night seven years ago, well, too much tequila and not enough talking led to something only one of them regretted and that night tore them apart.
In the present, Hunter wants to make amends, he wants nothing more than to have his two best friends back, they are all senior partners in Ava’s father’s law firm, but for seven years, they have only spoken in a professional capacity and even then, nowhere near as much as they used to. He misses them and what they shared all those long years ago and so he writes a letter to each and prays that they can forgive him for what he did and what he plans to do if they can’t.
In each letter he explains that the box attached is an explanation as to why what happened happened, what his life has been like since and how much he regrets the situation. He delivers the boxes to Thomas and Ava and waits to see what will happen next.
How will Thomas and Ava react to the packages and letters which Hunter has written and what will the two of them think? What will the future hold for them all?

I give Distant Heart Sounds: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book 1 by Kate MacInnes. 4 stars.
This was a fun, interesting book. It reminds me a bit of Grey’s Anatomy but with ghosts. There is so much going on here. Morgan almost dies, and she is still coping with this. Then there is her job and the friends and coworkers who are her family. Oh, and let us not forget that now she can see and talk to ghosts! This book has many angles, but it is so cohesive and makes for a wonderful story. I really enjoyed this book and loved Morgan. It was so interesting seeing how she deals with everything. She feels so real and tackles things like most people would. Morgan is a very strong character and someone to look up to. The secondary characters, both living and ghosts are wonderful and really make this book exceptional. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and see just where it leads.
If you are a fan of strong female characters, wonderful friendships, and ghosts, this book is for you.

This book seems in step with the events of 2020 given the subject matter. If you need an escape from current events, this particular book may not be one you want to read until everything calms down.
However, don’t dismiss it entirely. Deadly Weapon is a great read with a ton of action and adventure mixed in with a bit of mystery and danger.
I love the interaction between Jake and Cody. Of course, who doesn’t love an intelligent dog as a side kick? One of my favorite parts of the story is the sidecar bit where Cody is enjoying the ride, in spite of the danger.
Overall, I found Deadly Weapon to be an intense and entertaining read.

This is the third book in the series and where we meet Valerie Williamson and her past has finally caught up with her the time. She has seen Dr Chad Ross, who she has not seen in two decades, and she now knows it’s time for him to be held accountable for what he did to her.
Valeries secrets are getting too much for her and she is literally at her breaking point, with the people she can trust getting smaller by the day. The Lawrenceville’s serial killer, The Executioner is still on her mind, so the question that will haunt her if he will spike again?
I have really enjoyed this series and has kept me hooked right front he very beginning, the writer has really brought these characters to life. Bringing twists and turns and very unpredictable at times. Would truly recommend.

5 Star DEADLY WEAPON (Jake Wolfe Book 5) by Mark Nolan
Deadly Weapon is the fifth book in the Jake Wolfe Series by Mark Nolan. This can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading the whole series. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat while trying to figure out what was going to happen next. With the Covid happening right now this hits really close to home. I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading In this action packed story we find Jake and Cody on a fishing trip in Alaska but they are pulled away to stop a very deadly virus from wiping everyone out. Can Jake find who’s responsible for unleashing the virus before it’s to late? Find out what happens next. I can’t recommend this book or this author enough. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Secure Again is the second book in the Chase Security Series by R.L Dunn. This is a fast paced action packed story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept my attention till the end. I will say that this can be read as standalone but id highly suggest reading this series in order. This is Dr. Elizabeth Reed and Martin’s story. She’s a surgeon and he’s former Navy SEAL and now CEO of Chase Security, these two have a past together. Elizabeth starts to notice a increase in injuries involving some of the prisoners from the local prison . She sets out” to get to the bottom of it”. Martin gets called back home because his brother got injured at work. Oh boy when these two come face to face old feelings come back. Can they figure out what is going on? Is she in danger? Can these two have a future? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next I. This series .

This is a story about one of the Satan’s Devils MC members, Road, who has a task to carry out that has been requested by the president of the group. He had to make his way to Utah and look into other chapters, he had specific instructions to look into what goes on behind closed doors with the gang, making sure they are following the Satan’s Devil’s rules and regulations.
Road makes the journey with Drummer, and through this route, they did not know the mishaps that would happen along the way……
The twists and turns in this is brilliant.. This is really is an action packed ride but I find all the Stan’s Devils stores are a great read, the author really brings out a great story with each character. Really enjoyed reading this and looking forward to reading more.

This is the second book in the series of the VanOps thriller, where we meet Maddy Marshall a software expert, who is faced with a task to decipher a code before extremists trigger a high tech apocalypse. A Russian thief steals an ancient star chart, and Maddy along with her Boyfriend and twin, will then go on a hunt to find the treasure.
The story takes us on some fabulous locations, such as Mexico, the Middle East and the Philippians and in each we learn a puzzle , making things very cryptic, leading clues to each new place and as a reader, this is a brilliant way of getting us involved in the treasure hunt along with the characters. The atmosphere is built up brilliantly and the book is beautifully written. The ancient history, combined with thriller, suspense and action is very well played out and would truly recommend.
Hero High is one of those series that pulls you in and the story flies by and is over before you know it! I have read each of the books and the storyline just keeps building…and I feel like there is still parts of the story that haven’t been told.
This book picks up with Friday waking up from her coma. She is thrust right back into the show with a new love interest…all while still sorting through everything that happened to her and her unresolved feelings for Ashley. Now, however, Friday is being forced into situations that make her uncomfortable, and even sick to her stomach, under the guise of increased popularity and becoming a Hero. When she is confronted with the truth of what is going on behind the scenes…and is forced to question what is real and what is made up for ratings…everything she thought she knew is not as it seems.
I enjoyed this book because, as the story progressed, Friday grew up and starting becoming more aware of conflicting way she feels about being manipulated. She still has bouts of immaturity, but she definitely grew up a lot in this book. She was forced to make tough decisions that I don’t think she would have been capable of making before this book. I hope there is more to her story because I have enjoyed watching her story evolve and if feels like it isn’t over yet!

Imagine a theme park where all your fantasies can be fulfilled.
No need to imagine. Welcome to Spicetopia–where variety is the spice of life!
Book 1: Sugar & Spice
Cy Sweet has always been the black sheep of his family, which is probably why he was chosen to go Undercover Boss in Sweetopia, his family’s theme park. Enticed by his father’s bribe, he dons an apron to serve pastries in Cotton Candy Castle, one of the park’s most popular attractions.
He’s tempted to blow his cover when he meets The Red Velvet Queen. Sure, she’s a costumed character and the jewels in her crown are fake, but she’s absolutely breathtaking. His desire only grows when he invents a baker’s dozen reasons to visit her every day…enough visits to discover her sweetness comes with a side of spice.
But they’re both in disguise. The Queen is actually single mom Jolie Cox, who relentlessly struggles to make a living for herself and her sons. And Cy is actually her boss, not to mention heir to the corporate empire she despises.
What will happen when their identities are finally unmasked?
Book 2: Virtue & Vice
The creators of Spicetopia know adulting is hard. Bills. Mortgages. Parenting. Estate planning. Sometimes you just need to kick back and indulge your inner kid–except now that inner kid has grown-up tastes.
Two couples set out to create a world of adult fun in a slice of paradise called Spicetopia. Cy and Jolie have experience from the kids’ theme park Cy’s family owns. Moon and Katja bring technical and architectural expertise to the table. Can these four work together and build their dream world–while having plenty of adult fun along the way? Or will their dream end up being flushed right down the toilet?
Book 3: Fire & Ice
Someone is trying to sabotage Spicetopia’s grand opening. Neve Romano, Director of Security, and Enya Moore, Director of Public Relations, have never gotten along. But they find themselves thrust right into the middle of the melee…and at the mercy of a madman.
Can they work together to keep themselves and the park alive?
And can they keep their passion from sparking a whole new fire?
Book 4: Naughty & Nice
Micah Greene didn’t know what to expect when he was asked to officiate a wedding at a theme park catering to “grown-ups.” He’d worked so hard to keep himself on the straight and narrow after he saw what promiscuity and debauchery had done to his brothers. He would somehow resist the seductress event planner he had to work with…no matter how hard he was…ahem…IT was.
Surely he could control his naughty thoughts around her. It was just one week, right?
Natalie Roux joined the Spicetopia staff as the official event planner, and her first big event was the owner’s wedding. She wanted to make a good first impression, but the minister they brought in to officiate the ceremony was a sugarplum she wouldn’t mind sinking her teeth into. She needed to keep her hands (and mouth) to herself if she was going to pull off the holiday wedding of the century!
She could be nice and not let herself get into trouble. It was just one week…right?

Secure Again is the second book in R.L. Dunn’s Chase Security Series. After finishing the opening to the series, I knew that I will need to get on her notification email list so that I would not miss out on the other books in the series AND I tell you, based on the sixteen founding members, we will have sooo much to look forward to! You can read every book as a standalone but I promise you, you will want to read all of the books in the series as you get to know the guys better and better and you start making connections and the pleasure you get … Just open the book and look at the list of the people listed at the beginning of each story … oh my … firstly, thank you for that list and secondly, seeing this list I can just dream about the hours we will be sending in this Chase Security universe! Secure Again is Martin Bailey is the CEO of Chase Security International and one of the founding members and who is based out of DC. He has to return to the Midwest suddenly because of the family emergency and he comes face to face with Dr Elizabeth Reed, his one and only … There is so much heartbreak and so much pain in this story and it goes beyond Marty and Beth’s story, it shows us the perverse corrupt side of humanity and how much it takes to try to make things right … Kudos to the writer for putting together such a fast paced story that is so interwoven and intricate and heart breaking and … it has everything that one can wish for when picking up a book! I cannot wait to head to San Diego with Julian next!

High Flyer (Verdant String Series #4) by Michelle Diener
The first book I’ve read by the author. This is part of the Verdant String Series, but can be read as a stand alone. If I could give it more stars I would. Diener did an amazing job.
Hana, a pilot, doesn’t want to give in to her boss, but then they’re taken down. Hana, being the flyer she is, manages to avoid being hit. The quote I chose for Hana is: “Let’s see how overgrown it is on the outside and whether we can get a runner out at all.”
Iver, head-of-planet and Hana’s boss, finally gets the girl, but it doesn’t come easy. Iver finds that he’s being hunted down because people are worried about something he plans on building. The quote I chose for Iver is: “I can’t get taken. I won’t be used as a tool for them to get off planet with that shielding device.”
Secure Again: A Chase Group Story was a great 5 star read. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There is so much going on with all the characters. Elizabeth is a surgeon and Martin is the CEO of Chase Security.
Elizabeth is a very caring person and becomes concerned when she starts seeing patients from the local jail coming in with injuries. When Martin gets called home after his brother has been shot, he finds out that Elizabeth is the one keeping his brother alive. These two have a history that didn’t end well for them.
As the investigation continues on both the shooting and the jail injuries things intensify. Can Chase Security get the answers and solve the mystery? Will Elizabeth and Martin reconnect and have a second chance at a HEA?
Overall I loved this book, I was pulled right in and couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. You get suspense, mystery, romance and so much more. I am really enjoying this series. All of the secondary characters are great. I highly recommend this series.

Deadly Weapon Jake Wolfe Book 5 By Mark Nolan ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ This is such an intense story. With what is going on in the US, this story touched life as I know it at this time. This is a must read!
Jake Wolfe and his trusted partner Cody are at it again. They are a great team and I swear Cody reads Jakes thoughts before they are said. What a Strong powerful team. I want them on my side, that’s for sure! Jake is fighting against time and what could be the end of the population as we know it. Evil has entered and it must be stopped. One criminal at a time. Read how this thriller plays out.
Mark Nolan once again graced my tablet, with this suspenseful story. It is a page turning book you will enjoy as much as I did. Jake and Cody are the best characters in this story. But they are not the only ones. This story has many groups for and against Jack and Cody. You will also get all the feels, laughter, sorrow, anger, and even a little romance. IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5) by Tamara Ferguson (Author), Natalie Ann (Author), Suzanne Jenkins (Author), Cynthia Cooke (Author), Alicia Street (Author), Jen Talty (Author), Angela Stevens (Author), Patrice Wilton (Author) 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading this collection of stories. They have steamy romance, suspense, and two people falling for each other. The authors have wonderfully written stories that will make you believe in true love. The stories are written in such a way that both the storylines and the characters come alive on the pages. There are plenty of swoon-worthy moments as well as moments that will make you go “Aww.” I enjoyed reading about the additional characters in each story and their interactions with the main characters. This is a collection of stories that will in some cases make your heart beat faster and touch your heart in others. I love anthologies because I not only get to read stories from authors that I know, I also am introduced to new authors and their writing styles. This is a collection of stories that I would highly recommend reading. There were a couple of stories in this collection that I wanted to write about. They are:
TWO HEARTS’ TRUCE By Tamara Ferguson
This is a story that I loved reading. It has romance and suspense. It is a story that made me believe in true love and soulmates. I loved the characters of Amanda and Jeff. What does the future hold for them? Read this story to find out. I grew to care about Amanda and Jeff with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed the additional characters who interacted with Amanda and Jeff. Jeff is a man that has plenty of patience and he shows his deep attraction to Amanda.
WHISKEY SOUR By Jen Talty This is a story that I loved reading. I loved the character of Boone Wilder. He has an attraction/chemistry to a woman that he wants not just as a friend but something more. What will happen when he must come clean about a lie he has told? This story has passion, romance, and two main characters that heat the pages. I loved that the woman Boone cares for is independent and strong. Boone is kind, caring, and a fighter for what is right.

John the Baptist: As His Soul Remembers by Stuart Ledwith is another interesting historical chronicle- this time focusing on the real life biblical character John the Baptist. As with the other book of Mr. Ledwith’s that I have read, it is quite original and interesting- full of facts, religion/spirituality, history, and more. As with the other book, this had a bit of a documentary feel to it- and could make for an interesting television show.

The Crocodile Makes No Sound is the second book in The Lord Hani Mysteriesby N.L Holmes. This is another cosy, historical mystery set in ancient Egypt. We met Hani, a diplomat, in the first book- and team up with him once more as this mystery plays out. With blackmail, politics, religion, and mystery all woven together, it makes for an interesting read. We are transported to the time of Akhenaten- which the author does a brilliant job of recreating and bringing to life. As with the first book in the series, the author’s knowledge and passion for the period really shines through in the story and through her writing. This passion certainly added to the ‘richness’ of the story. Looking forward to seeing what Hani gets up to in Book Three!

A Dead Man Speaks (A Clive January Mystery Book 1) by Lisa Jones Gentry is an original story- with plenty to keep you flipping the pages. A mystery with a paranormal edge- detailing crime, investigation, drama, and a clever twist that made me sit up and take notice. Clive January is a Wall Street investment banker who makes the startling realization that he has been shot, dead! Having such a significant unresolved issue, Clive cannot find peace until he gets his closure. But being dead is kind of restricting- so this is where Detective Bob Greene comes into the picture. It’s through him, and their psychic connection, that the investigation unfolds. But there is much more to the characters, their situation/s, and story, than we first realise- which we discover along the way. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Jones-Gentry does next.

Secure Again is the second book in the Chase Security series by R.L Dunn. It is a second chance romance- with suspense, intrigue, mystery, danger, hidden agendas, chemistry, and high stakes. Dr. Elizabeth Reed is a surgeon who has noticed a number of disturbing injuries stemming from the local prison. She is determined to find out what is going on. Martin Bailey is the CEO of Chase Security International- is drawn into the mystery through his brother (a police officer) and the investigation he was conducting. But Martin and Elizabeth also have a past relationship- and soon old feelings are bubble to the surface, adding to the already charged situation. With a complicated web to untangle, there is no time to spare if they are to figure it all out before anyone else dies. There was a lot going on and a lot of characters to keep track of, too. Making for an intense read. Bring on Book #3!

Accepted is the second book in the Rhodes Family series by Lisa Wood. It is a MMF story, with plenty of drama, angst and spice. It is a very quick and easy read- but as I mentioned at the end of Book One, there was a pretty big spoiler for this book detailed in Book One- so I was a little miffed by that even before I began this book. I did settle into the story- but not enough to fully connect with the characters like I was hoping to. The relationship between the three was intense- and there were several emotional discoveries/details as well. But the characters really frustrated me at times- I really just wanted to shake them. With a few more siblings left in the Rhodes family, I wonder who will be the subject of Book Three?

True Bastard is the exciting fourth book in the Dark Sparrows Series by India Kells. This is such a great series, and it’s a fantastic addition to the collection. It is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. It is a dramatic, gripping and suspenseful story- full of action, danger, angst, adventure, chemistry, twists, revenge, intrigue, and romance. As with all of Ms. Kells’ books, I really couldn’t put it down- I was glued to the pages- devouring it in a couple of hours. As expected, the story is superbly written, with a complex and multi-layered storyline that proved to be an exciting and incredibly engrossing read. This is the story of Liam Harker and Sister Catriona Walsh. The sinner and the nun. Yes, a nun!!! And their story was every bit as interesting as you may imagine! I loved that this book also helps to build a bigger picture of the brothers and their on-going father issues. This book could be read as a standalone, but as I just mentioned, there is much to learn by reading the previous three books first. I can’t wait to read Sam and Ellie’s story next!!!

It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie a five-star read that will encapsulate you. This is number two in the House Valdis series and it’s a very complex story with lots of characters, but you will be so consumed by the writing that you will be able to keep up easily. I would definitely advise you to read number one first as this picks a little while after and continues with the story, and its difficult to put what happens into a review as there is so much I don’t want to reveal. Xen was just someone who will surprise you at every turn, but they aren’t the only character that surprised me in this one. Do yourself a favour and pick up the series.

Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan a thrilling five-star read. This is number five in the Jake Wolfe series and they could be read as stand-alone but do read better as a series, Jake and Cody are off for some relaxing time in this one, or so they desire. Sadly, for Jake fishing doesn’t go to plan, as life never seems to, does it. This is a compelling action filled read where the action really does leap off the page, the detail this author goes into is phenomenal the reality is scary especially at the moment. I have enjoyed all of these stories but this one just pulled put all of the stops for me. There really is a little of everything in this story, and you will be sorry to miss it. The anticipation in this story will have you on the edge all the way through, its terse and gripping and just a great story overall.
