Murder on West Main is the second book in the A South Shore Mystery series. I had read the first book, but it had been a while since I had read it. I wasn’t sure if I would be lost or if I should have reread the previous book. Luckily, this can be read and enjoyed as a standalone book. Daniel O’Halleran, the coroner’s assistant, has stumbled into a whodunit. Colin looks like the guilty party in his boss’s death, but it soon shows how unpopular his boss is with everyone. Daniel believes Colin, but many don’t have the same feelings about the matter. Can Daniel find the real culprit? This is a good mystery that keeps you reading, wanting to know all the answers. I enjoyed the characters and how they developed over the course of the book. I also enjoyed that the story kept me reading and not wanting to put the book down. Many times in thrillers and mysteries, it becomes obvious what is going on. I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author in the future.

The rogues are still on the run and this time they have entered Master Oradea’s territory. The masters are getting restless. Everytime they think they have the rogues cornered, they always get away. It seems they are always one step ahead of the Masters and their team.
The vampires decide to try to align themselves with the local human mafia but all that does is put a target on their backs, especially the little sister of the group named Natalia. Oradea does not want this beautiful innocent girl in the crossfire so he takes her under his protection. Instantly there is some tension between the two but Oradea is trying not to let it affect the job he has to do or the promise he made to Natalia’s brothers. She is off limits. Too bad she doesn’t care what her brothers say. Natalia just wants to be able to look after herself for once. That includes who she can and cannot have relations with.
They seem to be closing in on the rogues and their leader but once again, they evade the vampires and go into the next masters territory, setting things up for the next book of the series.
After 10 books, you think the author would be running out of storyline and personalities to write about but Sylvia Black still has lots to say. The author hasn’t lulled at all even this far into the series. The love stories are romantic and steamy and the sub plot keeps you hooked to see what happens next! I can’t wait until the next book!

Mood Swings & Hockey Flings is a sports romance with some animosity and passion. A slight second chance. The author gives you two characters that had a wonderful “meet cute” yet quickly had a misunderstanding that changed things for them. Banks has always been slightly troubled in his hockey career. Yet a chance meeting with a beautiful woman at the airport he was willing to change things about himself. What he didn’t expect was that woman to show up at his practice and she wasn’t who she seemed. Now that he’s older and has been dumped by another agent, this woman is his only hope of not only continuing his career but with his current team. Yet can he trust her? What about the attraction he has for her? Kaitlin is out to prove herself. Prove that she doesn’t only know football by moving into the hockey world. A sports agent with a passion that’s being held back by her boss. Unfortunately she runs into one of the hockey players on a flight down to her new client. He seemed great but later proved himself otherwise. Now there’s everlasting animosity between them. Yet they travel in the same circles so are constantly crossing paths. Now he needs her more than he realizes. Not only that but gives them both a chance to stick it to her previous boss. However, what happens when she truly gets to know them? Can they keep things strictly professional or will feelings become an issue? I already stated it’s a romance but nothing is ever cut and dry. These two characters have so much to give to anyone. However they both get in their own way. They are stubborn. Yet they both care deeply for those that mean something to them. If that’s the type of book you’re looking for, it’s up to you to jump right in. I can guarantee it won’t be disappointing. Just trust me!

Murder on West Main (A South Shore Mystery) by I.M. Foster. This is the second book in South Shore Mystery Series and while it can be read as a standalone it does have some things in it that are in the first book that would be better understood if you read them in order. This is a cozy mystery with lots of twists and turns that will keep you guessing til the end. When Daniel the local coroner has to find out who killed Zeke its not going to be easy because to put it bluntly no one really liked him. When they arrest Colin who is Zeke’s new employee Daniel doesn’t think he’s guilty. Along with his Kathleen his good friend and his sister Isabelle they begin to try to follow the clues to solve this murder. Daniel doesn’t necessarily want their help and he is trying to solve the murder without them. Will he be able to keep his “helper’s” out of it and solve this murder before someone else becomes a victim? Read this cozy mystery to find out!

The Rake (Daughters of Dishonour Series) by Ava Bond. This has never been my favorite genre but his author has changed that 100%. This is the first book in the Daughters of Dishonour Series and I loved it so much. It’s the story of Margot who has a secret about her birth and she can’t let that secret be known. She decides to travel to London with her sister to meet her father no sooner than she meets him than she finds him dead. Trying to chase down the killer she runs into Lord Silvester who doesn’t have on pants. Finding a request from her recently deceased father she turns to Lord Silvester for help in following a map. As they spend time together their attraction is off the charts. Margot knows that Lord Silvester is nothing but a player but she can’t help being attracted to him. Becoming confidantes and friends they develop much more than a friendship and work together really well. Can Margo keep her paternity secret from Lord Silvester so she doesn’t ruin her reputation? Can they find who killed her father? This is such a fun historical romance with a thrilling mystery as well.

I have really enjoyed this series. Each book could be read as a stand-alone, rather than part of a series. The main characters in this book must fight their own instincts in order to make healthy choices for themselves, whether they wind up together or not. Themes include big city life versus small town life, as well as strained relationships between generations. I enjoyed being a vicarious part of the healing and personal growth that took place throughout the story.

What a fun idea for a book! Kaia is a mega pop star, big enough to have only one name and is finishing a world tour. Her real name is Abigail and she has just finished up her degree and needs to complete student teaching in order to finally become a teacher. Her team sets her up to student teach in a small town in Maine but when she gets there she learns that her mentor is on bed rest and she will have to jump into teaching. Everett is the nerdy science teacher and part time vice principal of the school. He and the principal are the only ones that know that she is also Kaia. Abigail and Everett don’t like each other. His fiancé broke their engagement to follow money and so he doesn’t trust Kaia/Abigail. Abigail is so used to calling all the shots around her and always being in control. Then they start to learn that they have more in common than they think, both have secret jobs (his working for the EPA) and they both grew up around foster kids (his parents fostered and she was a foster kid). I loved both main characters and all the friends that surround them. I read in the acknowledgments that this is the third book in the series so now I need to go back and read the first two!!

4.5 stars Healing Hearts is #0.5 the prequel contemporary romance tale and where it all begins for The Echo series. I love this series. We got to see these characters throughout the previous books as CR intertwines the characters, so it is good to see how Gene and Amanda’s story came to be. This heartfelt and fun-loving story will have you falling in love with the characters and hooked from the word go. It has tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion, pain and emotions and let’s not forget the humour. There are a couple of twisty turns, small town gossips and rumour mills in this small-town romance. I thought the last book was my favourite, but I this one definitely is now. Gene is tired and what was once is passion is now a chore. He has lost his faith in what he does, and little does he know that it only takes a special someone to make it all ok again. Amanda is not sure how she ended up how she did, but she is grateful for the help she is getting. Now she just has to deal with her wayward thoughts of the hot new doctor in town. I am now waiting patiently to see what CR brings next.

Margot is traveling to London with her sister to meet her biological father. At the Duke’s house, she hears a struggle and discovers an intruder fighting the Duke. When Margot grabs a poker from the fireplace, the intruder aims his gun at her. The Duke jumps to block the bullet. The intruder tries to get a map from the Duke’s hand but it tears. Margot pursues the man into the garden door of Langley’s house, stumbling into an orgy. She sees the killer run upstairs. She tries to follow but Langley, sans pants, blocks her path. Langley attempts to charm Margot, but threatens him with the poker before leaving.
The Bow Street Runner and Mr. Holt don’t listen to Margot. Langley drops by while the men were present. He orders the attorney and runner to find the killer. Margot, despite not trusting the handsome rake, agrees to his offer of assistance. However, his offer has two conditions: they must coordinate the search together and she owes him a real kiss. Mrs. Bowley enters the room and runs Langley off. Mrs. Bowley believes Margot is a debutante and Margot fears this would become an expensive venture. She sends her sister, Elsie, to Cornwall to find the duke’s heir/ She fears Elsie could be hurt by the killer and the inheritance depends on the heir coming to London.
Langley is hesitant to take Margot to the first mark on her map. Limestone was known for criminal activity. After dressing in a dark cape with a hood, Margot and Langley travel to the East Side until they arrive. Langley sends his men inside the inn while escorting Margot towards the clock. Frustrated to find the gate locked, the pair are about to kiss when a man exits the inn. Margot recognizes him immediately. She tries to challenge him to give her the rest of the map. She had brought a kitchen knife with her to defend herself. Suddenly Langley knocks her to the ground and covers her as the sound of a gunshot goes off. The man had pointed his gun at her through his coat jacket. Margot hadn’t seen his actions. Langley’s driver stated that they had seen the man remove a key from the clock.
Now they knew what they were searching for. Unfortunately, many of the places on the map would require Langley to attend society’s balls, ruining his reputation as a libertine. Why does Margot intrigue him so much? It was different with her than his previous flings. How is Langley different from what his reputation is? Despite her claim of not looking for a match, why do his charms make her think of desire? Does Elsie find the heir?

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings was a great read. I loved reading about Ben / Banks and Kaitlyn. Those two met at an airport about 10 years ago and had no idea who the other person was. They were both attracted to eachother but Kaitlyn has a one track mind and her job is the most important thing on her life. Meeting a hot guy and learning he’s a hockey player, makes her angry. They did alot of flirting at the airport and on the plane but, Kaitlyn is a different person in Work mode. Banks and Kaitlyn grow to dislike eachother more then you would think even though they secretly have some hidden feelings. Now 10 years later, Kaitlyn is asked by Roman to Be Ben’s agent. Both Ben and Kaitlyn are against it But, Ben needs the best of the best and that’s her. But what will happen when they start spending alot of time together? Can Kaitlyn stay strong and deflect the blue eyed, gorgeous guy she has spent 10 years avoiding? Or is it inevitable ? These two are both such strong characters but, Ben is willing to put everything aside for a chance with Kaitlyn to see what happens. Kaitlyn knows it will Be career suicide being she’s a hockey agent, he’s a hockey player and the cherry on top is…..he’s her client !

Breaking Apart if Book 2 in the Finnerty and Liccione Mystery….and this was so well written and the emotions of this story….wow. This story is centered around PTSD, mystery, suspense, lies, struggles and took me on a roller coaster of emotions. This book will stay with me for quite awhile…feeling quite real with the mental health crisis that many face on a daily bases…even with our Veterans.
Dr. Marnie Liccione and Dr. Louise Finnerty are back with another medical mystery, this time the investigation stems the death of a Veteran. The question is…was this suicide or murder? Marnie and Louise are now trying to piece together the truth of this matter…..
Overall..this was a fantastic and emotional read. I highly recommend reading the series from the beginning and looking forward to more.

Break Bone Fever is Book 1 in the Finnerty and Liccione Mystery that pulls you in with secrets, deceit, murder, a deadly disease of Dengue Fever, conspiracy and suspicion…taking me on twists and turns! From the beginning, I was intrigued and I love the medical mystery and murder investigation behind the story. The intrigue as to the “why” I was pulled in from page one.
When Dr. Louise Finnerty and Dr. Marnie Liccione’s friend, Dr. Gennifer Drake is murdered, something does not settle right with the circumstances. With the unexpected death of their friend, Louise and Marnie investigate on their own to want to know the truth behind the murder….and trying to piece together the reasons….will Louise and Marnie be able to solve this and get to the bottom of this mystery…..
Highly recommended and a great story. I am looking forward to more of this series

This is a collection of 4 books that make up the R series. Each book is unique and different but all of them are captivating and are stories I just couldn’t put down. They are all contemporary romances books and each book focuses on a different couple so they can be ready as standalone reads.
Fool’s Gold is the first book in the series and it focuses on Rafe and Sarah. This is a second chance romance with elements of drama, angst, questions to be answered and a chemistry between the two characters that can’t be denied After Sarah finds a letter claiming that Rafe was only marrying her for her family connection she flees on their wedding night leaving Rafe wondering what happened. Now she has returned wanting to make things right by repairing his reputation but what that a mistake. Was the content of the letter Sarah found actually true or was it someone trying to pull them apart? The more time they spend together the more their attraction and chemistry sizzles but is it too late for second chances?
Her Hearts Desire is the second book in this series is an enemies to lovers story revolving around Samantha and Jake. This story has drama, tension and danger. When Jake sees Samantha she is fleeing her own wedding. Now they must work together to solve a crime and stop her ex fiancée but every time they meet it is explosive. Will they be able to work together or will their attraction and chemistry blow everything apart?
Serena’s Web is the 3rd book. It is Serena and Marks story. Serena needs help to rescue her dad from the mob that has kidnapped him so she turns to FBI agent Mark to help. What follows is a story of danger, angst, and trust issues. Can Serena trust Mark to make finding her dad a priority? And will the feelings Mark is feeling towards Serena and her child can he trust enough to allow them in?
It Had To Be You is the fourth book and is a small town enemies to lovers romance. Again it is full of sparks and chemistry as well as the couple being from opposite sides of the tracks. It’s a romance with enough drama to keep you gripped and turning the pages.
I couldn’t pick a favourite out of this series as I loved them all. They all had something unique and enough drama and angst that I couldn’t stop reading.
This is the second book in the series. I wouldn’t say you absolutely need to read the first one before reading this one, but there are some events mentioned I assume are from the first book. I picked up on things fairly quickly and didn’t feel lost. That said, reading the first book may give you a more complete reading experience. The way the author writes immediately draws you in and makes you feel like you are right in the scene with the characters. I quickly found myself lost in the pages. Plenty of twists and turns keep the mystery going. Overall, a great read!

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is an enemies-to-lovers romance. Kaitlyn is a sports agent breaking into the hockey scene. On her way to meet her first client, her flight is delayed and she ends up having a great conversation with the man at the bar. They flirt, even on the flight, and at the end they part ways with no contact. However, to her surprise, he is a hockey player on the same team as her client and she gets mad because he has “lied” about who he was. Banks “Benny” Bennet is a professional hockey player but is known as the bad boy, who cares-type of player who is getting up there in age. After his and Kaitlyn’s meet cute, they end up as enemies and now 10 years have gone by. At this point, they claim to hate each other but have some residual sexual tension from 10 years ago. Banks is now looking for a new agent and Kaitlyn is persuaded into helping him. Through this “arrangement,” they start to learn more and more about each other and see that there is more to the story. Will they be able to cross these boundaries to satisfy what has been hanging over their heads for so long? Is this possible “arrangement” worth both of their careers? I really enjoyed this story. Kaitlyn is a badass woman rocking it in a man’s world. She is respected but also hated for her position in the league. She had many sides to her character and I enjoyed all of them. As for Banks, OMG I just fell in love with him. The way he handled all the things that came his way (especially when they were not true) was just amazing. He is misunderstood, manly, gently, and hiding a really big heart. I just really enjoyed learnig about him and seeing his character develop throughout the story. In the end, he is just a down right good man who wants to protect what he wants, but learns that consequences occur, but sometimes it is totally worth it!!

What a great introduction to Portugal – the people, the wine, and the land! This series was a great read and I loved getting to know all the characters and learning more about the culture. In the first book, the main character, Julia, is a widow who is running a vineyard during a time when it was done only by men. She is independent, tough, headstrong, and willing to do anything to keep her vineyard going. When Griffin Maxwell comes to town to check in on his own vineyard, there is an instant connection. Julia teaches him about the culture, the stories, the food, and the grapes. Griffin is helping her find a cure to the plague spreading through vineyards, teaching her son how to ride a horse, and opening her up to new love. The setting is beautiful and the characters are very relatable. This was a page turner and I had to keep reading to see what decisions would be made and what obstacles they would have to overcome.
I was reluctant to read the second book because I did not like Pedro after reading the first book in this series. I am so glad I gave it a chance because I loved learning more about Pedro as a character, about his past, what motivates him, and how he can change. A chance encounter brings Anne into Pedro’s home and the chaos of his past. Pedro doesn’t know who she is in the beginning and then learns that she is Anne Maxwell, the sister of Griffin whom he hates for taking his Julia away. They are drawn together and as she learns more about Pedro (sometimes through his brother Cris) she starts to open up to him too. This is war, hate, revenge, family, love, and romance all swirled together in a wonderful read!
This is the third book in the series and follows some new characters. Isabel is the princess of Portugal and loves her country. Her brother, the king, sends her off to visit her cousin and find out what is happening in Spain. Henrique is selling his land and moving out of the country, but agrees to accompany the sister of his good friend (the king) to Spain. Henrique is witty and charming and knows how to woo the ladies. Isabel has been protected and doesn’t agree with his philandering, but she sees a different man underneath the façade. In Spain, they are busy with many events planned by her cousin, but also in a lot of political meetings. The true king of Spain is invited to the palace and tries to sweep Isabel off her feet in order to get back to his rightful throne. The story kept me guessing and I learned so much about life in the 1800s.

The School of Nine by Amanda Marin is the first book of the Mythic Academy Collection. If follows Bianca Harper – muse-in-training and descendent of Clio – as she works to save the future of Muses and Imagination. Together with Kash and Sebastian, they navigate school and disaster. This was a quick read and very original. Can’t say I’ve ever ran across a book about muses. Enjoy!

The School of Nine by Amanda Marin is the first book of the Mythic Academy Collection. If follows Bianca Harper – muse-in-training and descendent of Clio – as she works to save the future of Muses and Imagination. Together with Kash and Sebastian, they navigate school and disaster. This was a quick read and very original. Can’t say I’ve ever ran across a book about muses. Enjoy!

This story continues the adventures in the world of Juniper Lake. This book revolves around Jaru and Lark. Evil has found its way to Jaru and his new attempt at finding his place. With the growing danger Soren works to keep Lark and Jaru safe. As they try to figure out the mystery and deal with danger the three begin to get closer and emotions show themselves. It was interesting to watch the friendships grow and deepen. There are many characters in this world and the author weaves them all into the stories. In this book we get to see the way Soren, Lark and Jaru intertwine with previous characters and to truly enjoy this series it should be read in order to get the full understanding.

The Hot Flash Hookups book series is one that I adore reading! The authors do an amazing job of creating a great storyline with characters that you would not normally think to pair together. One of the main characters is a hockey player, and the other is usually a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants but not what she needs in her life. Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is no exception to this amazing formula that truly works, and it works well. I had a good laugh as I read about our main female stressing over possibly being in perimenopause, especially when the doctor let her know she may still have a good 10 years of fertility left before menopause kicks in. To our main character, this means that her eggs are all drying up, and she needs to get pregnant ASAP, despite how busy she is working as an agent to hockey players. Our main male character falls hard for his new agent, with whom he has been having a love/hate relationship for the past 10 years. His agent has been hiding her feelings for her client through a love/hate relationship herself. Throughout the story you get to see the point of view of both main characters and follow along as they work through their client/agent relationship, all the while fighting against their attraction for one another. There’s a fine line that shouldn’t be crossed, but what is more important, a career or finding your soul mate? What a sweet romance this story was, filled with dilemmas that our main characters must work through, including not allowing their impressions of one another to shadow the real characters of our main people. I love that we got to continue along with Olivia and Roman’s love story from the first book while following along with Ben and Kaitlyn’s story in this new book. I cannot wait to see who gets featured in the third book in this series. I am so invested in reading more about the development between each of our couples we’ve met so far. @Brandy Rymer 05/2024

Sure As Hell is the 4th book in the Life Is Hell Series by Naomi Valkyrie. This book continues the character development with Jaru, a imp demon, and Lark a pixie. This is an M/M book that continues off the other 3 books in the series. These books have such great fusion from one to the other that they are seamless. I love that we get to see each person get their own couples book, but we also see the other characters from the previous ones. This book unpacks a lot of personal issues of Jaru and Lark, but their friends are there to help and guide them through some awful times. The Ghostly Diva is the third instalment in the Divine Vintage series by Sandra L. Young. It is a wonderful mash-up of paranormal, romance, cozy mystery, secrets, grumpy-sunshine element, forced proximity, a meddling ghost, family dynamics, unresolved issues, emotion, choices, discovery, investigation, fun, fashion, and plenty intrigue. I have to say that this series just seems to get better and better with each new instalment, and this has become my favourite of the series (so far). I loved how this story was woven, as all the elements came together in a wonderfully engrossing read. Justine and Jackson’s dynamic, and the whole family tensions/unresolved issues, coupled with his meddling mother (the ghost), the forced proximity, as well as having her beloved job on the line, had me well and truly invested in the outcome. Looking forward to many more Divine Vintage instalments. Happy reading…

The Better Man was a wonderfully challenging story. The author lost me a few times early on but as I got further into it, it emerged and flowed well. It became a story that encouraged the reader to root for the two main characters. Both of which have had their own personal struggles yet persevered. Laramee is a passionate force who is coming home after running away for reasons we all understand. The loss of someone close, a relationship born out of that which felt more obligation vs true love. Now she’s fighting to keep her family ranch. And between the animosity with her father and Jamie coming to give her father options she feels a sense of betrayal. Jamie was tasked to get the spects on this ranch. One going into it will be a good thing for his family. He found out quickly that won’t be the case. He wants to help this family out, but despite her aggression he’s pulled to Laramee and her happiness more. What will happen between them? What about her past relationship? Again you will be rooting for these two characters. They’ve been through so much you want them to be happy. As if they were your own family or friends. It’s worth the read but started off slow to me. Trust me when I say push through because you will enjoy it.

The third and final book in this trilogy wraps everything up nicely. This fast paced novel is full of engaging characters who face major challenges. There is plenty of adventure and intrigue to keep the reader turning the pages. Although you could read this book as a stand alone, I would recommend starting with book one to fully appreciate the story.

Just when she thought she could take a break. My oh my. Gotta say, Christi Barth has quickly earned her place on my favorite authors of the year list with this one. This is the first book I have read by this interesting talented author. No joke the back and forth with Abigail and Everett made this book fly by so much more than I thought possible. Dual perspective Abigail/Kaia and Everett. Kaia is a world pop star coming off a six-month world tour. Kaia was her escape from her real life, a way to reinvent herself without anything permanent. Wigs, platform boots, curvy padding added to her undergarments. From day one she was thinking about the day when she was just herself again. Abigail Dilworth, the girl that no one wanted. Not her parents, foster parents, no one. Until she found teachers that took her under their wing and pushed her into the light to embrace her talents and not hide them. Now she has a five-month sabbatical to get her student teacher hours to get her certificate. Then she will deal with the biggest decision of her life. To continue life as only Abigail the teacher or continue to be popstar Kaia. Everett Reynolds is the AP Chemistry teacher and vice principal of Swan Cove High, who secretly has a government job with the EPA. The moment they first meet it is sass and comebacks that keep him fired up and not in a fun way. He’s not happy and when he sees her the next day at school, and who she is the back and forth honestly gets better. When she reveals her secrets at least part of them and then asks for a favor he must decide what to do but the next favor is even more. He’s just a coastal town teacher, he never wanted to be in the limelight on the arm of a popstar. Can Abigail survive the five months? What will happen when friends become enemies? When enemies become lovers? This world is based in a small town in America with a twist. The author is open about her inspirations behind this story and while it is obvious it’s more mature in many ways while holding on to the classic nostalgia. I would definitely get in line to watch a movie based off this movie just to see it all come to life for real and not just in my head. That banter stays with you, and I admit I threw a few of the really good lines at my husband while reading. His face was priceless. Thank you, Christi Barth.

The Ghostly Diva is the third book in the Divine Vintage series. In this installment, Assistant Museum Director Justine Saunders is tapped to help screenwriter Jackson Maddox offload the vintage clothing of his semi-famous actress mother, Liza Maddox. Jackson is handsome but surly and initially gives Justine a run for her money. As the two find themselves in an unexpected situation, the ice thaws and Jackson starts showing Justine a better side of himself. Justine finds herself drawn in closer to Jackson as she helps him solve the mystery of his paternity. As difficult as Jackson tried to be, I found myself with a lot of empathy for him. Justine was the perfect balance for him and helped to navigate his complex feelings regarding his paternity. These two were very sweet together. I enjoyed the way they balanced each other out. The mystery was intriguing but satisfying. This book was a great ending to this series. I look forward to whatever direction Ms. Young may take us next.

Kaitlyn and Ben (aka Banks) met 10 years ago…and they did not leave on good terms. Since then, Banks has been busy on the ice while Kaitlyn is working hard to become a top agent. So, when Banks’ current agent drops him, these two find themselves having to work together. Kaitlyn wants to clean up his image, get him a great deal, and be done with the whole thing. However, there seems to be more behind the image that Banks portrays and she is finding it hard to resist. Ben realizes that Kaitlyn is not the cold-hearted ice queen that she is made out to be and finds himself being able to think of anything except her.
The banter between these two is what kept me turning the pages. Kaitlyn is making her way in a world dominated by men…while also dealing with the onslaught of premenopausal hormones. Ben is constantly trying to overcome his poor choices while fighting these feelings he is having for Kaitlyn. I was cheering Kaitlyn on as she was making her mark on what most consider to be a man’s world. There is steam, witty banter, romance, and of course some hockey!

The Better Man is a sweet story of forgiveness, redemption, finding one’s path, and love. Laramee and Jamie are both carrying their heavy past failures with them. Laramee needs to decide what her future will hold, but she struggles to do it alone. Jamie wants to prove that he’s more than his past so his family will quit fretting over him. Their story is a roller coaster of emotions with many trial and error situations.
