Higher Elevation Series: Books 1-3 by Renee Regent – Review by Mirela Ruiz

Higher Elevation Series : Books 1-3Higher Elevation Series : Books 1-3 by Renee Regent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Higher Elevation Series: Books 1-3 by Renee Regent was a very mysterious supernatural read. I would give this three book series a five out of five stars. I found myself starting this series without knowing anything about the series or the author. I was very shortly hooked on the characters, the plot, and the pacing of the story. I loved the variety of characters and their individual stories. Throughout the three book series you meet a lot of people and they are so unique that you can easily separate one voice from another. The story and plot really pull you in, I was in from the first chapter and could not wait to figure out what happened next. The pacing is fantastic and really helped build the story in an addicting. I loved the book set because it made it so easy to just start the next part without having to wait.

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C A King – Review by Jonell Collins

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3)Hitting The High Note by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The third of the Four Horseman Novels, Hitting the High Notes was every bit as spellbinding as the first two stories in the series. Action packed, with suspense and several little surprises. Our hero in this story is Uriel. He is quite a bit different than his siblings but every bit as lethal. Our heroine is quite a surprise. C.A. King gives us a bit of mystery in this one which makes the story even more riveting. A light romance, easy to read, and well worth your time.

Drawing Strength From Words (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 2)Drawing Strength From Words by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second of the Four Horseman novels and I find myself anxiously anticipating the next two. In this quick little romance poor Ryder never seems to catch a break. One mess after another. He just can’t keep it together. Then the beautiful Gabrielle walks into his life. Will he make a mess of this too? Gabrielle, beautiful, strong and coolly intelligent. Will she take a second look at this poor mess of a guy? Everything is not as it seems, and the mysterious Dante complicates matters immensely. You will need to pick this little novel up and give it a quick read. In Drawing Strength From Words, C. A. King gives us strong characters and a unique little adventure.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Randall Murphy

This book is full of interesting characters and plot lines. It’s “Undercover Boss” meets Harlequin Romance and “Exit to Eden” with a bit of standing up for employee rights. While that may sound convoluted and twisted, it’s actually pieced together in a way that grabs your interest and has you hoping the right decision is made by Cy and that Jolie forgives him. While this isn’t like most of the romances that I’ve read, it definitely was one that I enjoyed and found myself wondering what the next volume in the series would be about.

Do you love Christmas? Do you love a good romance? Do you love a rugged man that probably looks mighty good in boots? This collection, hands down, is the perfect anthology for all lovers of romance and holiday themes. Each book in this collection was a fast and very enjoyable read for me. I’ve had the pleasure of reading other books from Keir and Lindun before and their contributions to this anthology definitely didn’t disappoint. Loved it from beginning to end. A definite must read!

Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Robin Rankin

Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellet is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter.

Holy cow this book wasn’t what I expected, it was so much better! The story with Melissa, Pyro and Skull was a lot deeper then I realized and I found myself shedding tears a few times during this story.

Melissa deals with so much pain and heartache and it made me feel so bad for her. I wanted to hug her, and try to make her feel better.

What can I say about Pyro? He’s an amazing man and though he is a big burly biker he has a heart of gold and he shows Melissa and us that several times throughout this book.

I fall in love with this series and the guys in Colorado a little more with each book and I’m so looking forward to keeping up with them and their lives.

Run from Love (Bowser Belles Book 2) by Teddy Cat Hester – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

Run from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary RomanceRun from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance by Teddy Cat Hester
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Run From Love is a Bowser Belles book by Teddy Cat Hester. It is the second book in the collection, but the first I have read. It can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone book. I would love to read about the other supporting characters from the book, but don’t feel like I missed anything by starting with book 2. It is a quick romantic book about Scarlett and Nick. Scarlett has a 6 month rule for dating, she cuts them loose at the 6 month point. She makes that clear from the beginning, so the guys know what they are getting into. Nick is no exception. He knew he was on a time limit, but thought he could charm his way into buying more time.
The two are complete opposites in every aspect, but it makes them work. Scarlett wears bright colored clothes, dyes her hair wild colors on a rotating basis, loves her dogs, and puts on skits at elementary schools for a living. Nick is commonly seen in dark suits, and works at a prestigious firm where he is trying to make partner. He has a son, and wants a family again. Can the spark between them be enough to make Scarlett break her own rules? Can Nick charm his way into Scarlett’s life for the long term? Read to find out! Its a quick fun book, you won’t regret it.

This book was a little bit different than what I normally read, but the synopsis sounded intriguing so I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. As I traveled through the stories and encountered the interconnectivity of each, I was astonished and intrigued. James Talisman wove together the many stories of different individuals into an interesting journey. One I was lucky to take. I recommend this book and feel any who read will not be disappointed.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

CLAIMING THE COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS is Book 4 in “The Hills of Texas” series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone .

This is a quick and easy read. There is a teeny bit of angst and some really sweet moments. It is a story of forgiveness and second chances. Told in first person with dual POV this story moves at a good pace and is very holiday centered.

I enjoyed this story and the other books on the series.

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Michelle King

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Billionaire Bodyguards series is a spin off from the Torzial Affair books, only told from the point of view of the Bodyguards that take care of the Billionaires. In this first book, we learn Jay’s story. He is the head of security and set to own his own division of the company. He met Sasha in the Torzial books and was infatuated at first sight! He hasn’t been able to forget her or get her out of his mind. Sasha is a ballerina and at least in my opinion, a bit of a weak and needy individual. She has extremely low self-esteem and doesn’t believe that anyone could possibly want her for more than a night. Even though I didn’t care for her character, I did enjoy the book immensely! There is action and adventure, travels around the world, and sexual tension that cannot be ignored! We learn so much more about not only Jay and Sasha, but others from the Torzial Affair books. It was extremely interesting to see the events we read about in the last series from a different perspective. Great start to a new series!

The three books in this boxed set features interconnected stories with recurring characters. The story is multilayered and had a little bit of everything. Romance, supernatural, friendship and life changing decisions.

I have always enjoyed this author’s tales and I recommend this boxed set.

Toxic Blonde is the second book in A Johnny Delarosa thriller series by David Stever. If you like thrillers this will be right up your reading standards. David Stever can keep you guess on what the outcome will be. His stories have a deep mysterious plot line, plus complex characters. I love Johnny Delarosa. I can picture him in my mind’s eye and to me that makes me enjoy the story even more. There is everything to make this story a thriller. From Russian mobsters, FBI, whistle blowers, and a computer hacker that all play a part in this thriller. Will this be too much for Johnny Delarosa this time? Who can he trust? Is there someone lying in wait that noone sees coming? You will have to read the story to find out.

Hang On To Your Shirt Tails by C. A. King is a must read. I highly recommend reading the first book in the series because then you will get the story of Tails and Brodie. C. A. King is an amazing author who writes awesome supernatural thrillers. She has this ability of pulling me in as the reader into her world and keeping me there with all the twists and turns that happen in the story will keep you reading. There is a tendency for me to turn the pages to fast and miss the last sentence on the page. We see Tails and Brodie who took themselves and their adopted children away from the group and live in isolation. They believe that they will be better off this way, but will they? Can they just walk away from the “club”? Can it be this simple?

Five Stars

Dark Feathers is a paranormal romance by Natalina Reis. This is one of the best books I have read by Natalina. It had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. I would highly recommend that you read Lavender Fields because there are recurring characters from that book in this masterpiece. They are both five star reads. This book features Phoenix who is a dark angel sent to spy on Joan, and Joan is looking for a roommate, not love. Somehow, when they meet emotions start churning and they find themselves trying to win the right to live and love each other. This book will take you on a roller coaster ride that you won’t want to get off. If you love paranormal or just a great romance, this is the book for you.

Beneath the Fallen City (The Omni Towers Series Book 1) by Jamie A. Waters – Review by Maura Harper

Beneath the Fallen City (The Omni Towers, #1)Beneath the Fallen City by Jamie A. Waters
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One of the great things about Kindle Unlimited is that I can borrow books that I wouldn’t “normally” read.

BENEATH THE FALLEN CITY is the first book of what looks like a 6 book series (so far). Book 1 is a lot of world building detailing the who’s who and the what’s what.

There are a few weird twists and it seems as if the story line was being plotted as it was written. It changes direction and it never really puts itself back in the same direction again.

I will be adding book 2 to my TBR pile because I am curious enough to how the story continues.

I chose to review book 2 as it is my favorite.
In this book you will find suspense, a little twist and a whole lot of forbidden love. They can be a standalone but best to read the series from the beginning.

Zoe Somersby has taken her job to the limit. Her specialty is translating many languages, under cover. But she does not let on so, she can hear what is needed. To keep her boss safe. Be his ears during his business dealings. Learning everything could come to a halt. After all she did sign a contract stating she could not get involved with the boss personally!

Archer Blackwood is the CEO of his own company, extremely good looking but, he is cold and ruthless. Loaded with money Archer is in control of everything. He has hired Zoe, the one and only woman that has gotten under his skin. He has no time for falling in love?

India Kells is an exciting new author for me. She sucked right into her book. This story was filled with all kinds of angst and twists. Her characters will make you fall in love with them, well some of them anyway. Others will just keep you wondering when they will get to meet Karma. Now that she has a boxed set I can read them again all together. A must if you love re reading the series as I do. So feel free to get started with this series. I will be out here waiting for her next series.

I was immediately sucked into this book and after about 2 chapters, i realized everyone seemed familiar and then it clicked (I was slow on the uptake) and this book follows the little sister from the book Lavender Fields. I don’t feel it is necessary to read that book to read and understand this one, but if you fall in love with this book, You’ll want that book too!
Joan, oh Joan and her potty mouth! She’s spunky and not afraid to tell you like it is and exactly what she expects to happen or how she feels.
Nix, oh what a guy. Poor thing was so lost yet knew something was amiss and until Joan, he had no idea things could or should be different.
My heart broke a couple times but in the end I was happy. Great book!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Higher Elevation Series consists of three books: Unexplained, Untouched, and Undeniable by Renee Regent. I love this series. It was great being able to read all three books right in a row merely hours in between them. Renee Regent has the ability of grabbing me from the first page until the last page. The only problem is that I could not put this series down until I was done with it. The stories all have this vibe that I could have been right there with the characters. It was a fast read but I caution you to make sure you see every clue or else you may find yourself going back and rereading passages that you missed. Each one of the books has amazing characters that seem to draw the wrong kind of attention to themselves. There are mysteries and action in each book as well. I really like the characters Renee Regent put together. Their interaction is important and believable in their stories. I feel as if I have new book friends that I can see what they are thinking before I read it in the book. Overall I would have to give this series 5+ starts and highly recommend reading this series. The only caution I will give you is to make sure you have enough time to read each book from the first sentence to the last sentence in each book.
