Another enjoyable story from this author. Cray goes on a new adventure with Fay. They meet new friends and help other animals along the way. The story is very cute and helps making to discuss being kind with the littles. The illustration in here is rock solid! Good colors that will draw the eye of readers. I always look forward to more in the delightful series.

The Glow in Loretta’s Garden (Loretta’s Insects) by Lois Wickstrom. This is mine and my nephews favorite author so we were super excited to read this one. Its the cutest story about Loretta finding glowing bugs in her flower garden. Loretta collects a few of them and puts them in her ant farm to study them. She gets scared when they quit glowing in her ant farm so she shakes them and they start glowing again making her happy. She finally decides that she needs to set them free and when she does she realizes they are fireflies! She then takes it upon herself to learn all she can about fireflies. She watches them and studies them all the time. This book is so good for kids to learn about fireflies and it’s also good for teachers to use in the classroom. All of the books by this author are very educational!
This is the first book in The Archcrusade series. One thing I will say is that this is a very lengthy book to read and with some many points of view and characters that it could end up getting very confusing. However that being said I was able to take the time to read it at a steady pace and I even went back to re read parts and trust me it is well worth the time. This is the type of story I love. I story filled with mystical beings, prophecies, the fight between good and evil, darkness and danger. It is an epic fantasy read that if you allow yourself will fully immerse you and transport you to the time and place the author wants you in. As much as I loved the story and the plot was unique with twists and turns that keep me hooked I feel I will need the re read it again before going onto the next book to remind myself of all the characters, their roles and how they fit together.
This is a very intricate story that is weaved together in a way that will truly captivate you if you allow it. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and to see where the story leads.

This book was fantastic! I really loved it. It sets place in a theme park, which I thought was pretty cool. Jolie works two jobs just to barely pay her bills. This young man comes in and flips her world upside down. Cy is working at his parents theme park. He then meets Jolie. He can’t get her off of his mind. Cannot wait for book two.
I am writing this semi biased as I LOVE cats. This book was super cute and informative about fostering kittens for the target age. I would find this very appropriate to read with kids when considering fostering cats/kittens. I was able to connect with this in my own experience as someone who fostered a litter of kittens. I enjoyed the voice of this book and thought they handled the part where they had to let the kittens go very well. The children handled it better than I did!

The Complete Echo Series is an incredibly immersive 4 book series, written by the equally incredibly author C. R. Alam. These books were absolutely addictive, so much so I was putting off important things just to finish another chapter. I loved each and every one of them, quickly falling in love with each set of characters. These don’t have to be read in any particular order, though I do recommend them all! This was my first experience with C. R. Alam, and I simply ate all of them up. I adored the entire series, and can’t wait to get ahold of more of this author!

What an absolutely lovely story! Definitely one of my favourite reads of 2024 so far! As soon as I started reading, I knew it was going to be one of those books that has my completely glued from beginning to end and I was right. I love how relatable Laura was, her character was just so lovely to read about and I was totally invested in her and her journey, a new chapter in her life after losing her husband. I am definitely going to be looking forward to more from this author in the future and I have to say what an amazing debut novel!

I loved this! I know it is aimed at children but there were some great mindful yoga ideas in here that I could use as an adult. I did some of the activities in the book with my 4 year old and whilst he might not have quite grasped the concept of what I was talking to him about he enjoyed doing the activities with me. We had quite a few peaceful and calm time throughout the day whilst doing these lessons! This would be such a great addition to a child’s day, short activities where they really get time to be calm and think about things. The way in which the lessons are written out or clear and explained well – you could just literally grab the book and start. A really useful teaching aid!

Well, this was a very interesting format. I got lost at the beginning and eventually caught on. I liked the story because we got to see Chloe mature in what she was looking for in her views of romance and love. She had clear visions and really didn’t want to give up on them. Because she was young, she got caught up in the “should I make him happy and go with his dreams?” In reading reviews, I see everyone pick a favorite guy. I don’t want to pick a favorite guy. I think being in Paris was her time to grow and shine. She was able to work on learning who she is. Sometimes I got made at her because it felt like she was stringing the guys along but she had to work out life, home and family. It’s a really good book. This author is one of my favorites for her writing. She does a phenomenal job with her romances. This is a clean, quick read that I would definitely recommend.
Another wonderful book from this talented children’s author. I really enjoy reading her books and I like these longer length books for older children. It’s such a great way to introduce them to longer reads that you can pick up and put down. The sci fi themes was good and would definitely get children’s imaginations going and capture their interest. There’s some very small twists in the story that will definitely get children guessing along with the characters about what might happen next. Great for encouraging children prediction skills! The story is well written and has a great pace to enable children to follow along easily. The characters were relatable and well developed. Overall a great story for children aged from around 8 up to 12/13 I would say.

I really enjoyed this book! Historical Romance is my all-time favourite genre to read and the author absolutely got this book spot on. I loved that it was a little bit different to other historical romances I’ve read with the reverse age gap but I absolutely loved the characters Charlotte and William. There was so much sexual chemistry between the two of them and it felt so real and genuine. The story was really well written and the characters well developed. The authors descriptive language was great, it really enabled me to imagine what I was reading at times. Although there is a BDSM undertone to the story it isn’t over bearing and not the main theme of the book. Overall I really loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future.

“Finding Cheer” by Heather Schneider is a delightful and enchanting read that continues the magical journey in Emerald Hollow. The small town setting and magical elements create a whimsical atmosphere that draws the reader in from the very beginning.
The characters are well-developed and endearing, especially Sofia Reyes, whose skepticism and attraction to the mysterious stranger make for an engaging storyline. The dynamic between Sofia and her love interest is realistic and heartwarming, adding a sweet and clean romance to the plot.
The addition of Holly Claus and her investigation into magical secrets adds depth to the story and keeps the reader intrigued throughout. The Echo series was a wonderful set of romance books. I appreciated having the box set because it allowed me to read one after the other without stopping to buy the next one. Each of these can be read as a standalone as they concern different couples but there are always those little bits that make reading them in order worthwhile. While this is my first time reading anything from this author I really liked their ability to bring the characters to life, make them seem real, and experience real life strife. The character growth was great. You will definitely find yourself be absorbed wholly into these novels. They are pretty quick reads but once you get started you won’t want to stop reading. I would definitely recommend giving these a shot.

Mermaid Tails is a children’s book that children of any age will enjoy reading. The colorful illustrations help to bring the story to life. My son loved this book so much we’ve read it several times already and I’m sure we’ll be reading it a hundred more times. I loved that every page had some sort of educational fact about mermaids/sea creatures. I could tell by the attention to detail that this author poured her heart and soul into this book. We loved everything about it and highly recommend it to everyone of any age. We look forward to reading more from this Author

This book Charming chapter by Lori Hass filled me with mixed emotions and was certainly a page turner. Laura and Hugh meet by chance and it is a second chance at love for Laura – even though she frustrated me at times with her stubbornness and I just wanted her to choose a different path I really really enjoyed this novel of love set later in life.

This YA Romance is interesting book that had all of the teen angst and drama that i associate with YA. It even had drama filled moments and love triangles included. It was a cute story that was well written and clean (shudders in lack of smuttt lol) and i enjoyed the main characters, drama included. Emma usually only has one night stands. She can’t trust any man after Stuart broke her trust in the worst of ways. Emma and Liam get along great. Their one night was so explosive that they agreed they can’t just stop at one night. I guess you can say they become friends with benefits. They both enjoy eachothers company and they are totally in sync between the sheets. Emma starts to have real Feelings for Liam and she doesn’t realize it but, he feels the same way. He tries to fight it at every turn. They have an agreement that they will get married, Emma gets paid to stay married to him for 1 year and he gets his trust fund released to him. These two really annoyed me because they are perfect for eachother. Emma knows she will have a broken heart at the end of the year. Wi these two have a chance at a happy ending ? Will Liam ever tell Emma how he really feels or is this really just a contract that will end in a year and these two go their separate ways ? Definitely a great read but everything this author writes is amazing!

Marjorie emery was acting like a typical teenage girl when her life was abruptly changed, months later she is still struggling to act like her old self. When Kyran Rousseau arrives in her town she feels a link to him that is unmatched with anything she has ever felt before but for some reason Kyran is nice one moment and then distant in other moments.
Kyran knows Marjorie is his mate but as a twin and the son with a genetic defect he knows that he cannot pursue his mate. The pull is strong though and there is a threat that is coming that has everyone trying to protect Marjorie who is struggling with the secrets that are unfolding around her.
This was great, what a uniquely different shifter story. I was pulled in right away, found Kyran a bit broody and had a darker charismatic vibe in the story. Marjorie was a girl who I definitely wanted to know more about. I definitely want more for this series. So many complex plot points I want to see how they pan out.

England: Cultured, Classic, and Charming is part of The Hidden Gems Series of travel books. I have enjoyed some of the author’s fiction books so was intrigued to read something a bit different that she’d written.
This book is for you if you’re thinking of visiting England and want some ideas of what to see or do. It’s particularly geared towards US American readers. I’d recommend reading this book early on, when you’re thinking about planning your trip, to get some inspiration and tips!
I did find the structuring of this book wasn’t quite to my taste. At times it gets repetitive, with the same information presented in multiple chapters, but this could help readers who are dipping in and out rather than reading the whole thing. Reflecting the author’s interests, the book begins with a whistlestop tour of “History and Myth”, “Superstitions and Beliefs” and “Gods and Saints”. While this is interesting, I would have liked to have this section more connected with the rest of the book, perhaps with an indication of where later in the book readers could learn more about places connected with the stories told.
It’s also worth being aware that this book is not comprehensive, and that some information may be out of date. The author notes that at least one of the restaurants she reviews is now closed, and talks about the cost of a trip in 2008. I was surprised that the extensive section on renting a car and driving in England had no mention of ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone), which is important to be aware of when planning transport. So while this book is great for getting ideas and inspiration, I would look for a more comprehensive travel guide or up-to-date information online as well.
This book gets four stars from me! Reading it feels like asking a friend who has been to England a lot to give you some advice before a trip and sitting back to soak in all their stories, tips and photographs.
