Cold Bastard by India Kells A Dark Sparrow Novel My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Such a great book! The story was filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read.
I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator and kind of jealous she has such a great thing going for her with that. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts and I love them together. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better!
The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very loveable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.

Until Fools Find Gold (Providence Gold Book One) by Mary B Moore
5 Stars
WOW!! I loved loved loved this book…How is this my first read by this author??? I knew from the first couple sentences that I wouldn’t be able to put this book down and I was right. I read it start to finish in one sitting and hated when it was over.
This book started right out having me on the edge of my seat, and falling in love with characters from one phone call. Levi!! **sigh** I want one… Well shoot I’ll take a Noah too LOL
This story hit on every thing I love in my books, not to mention the amazing writing style and the perfect flow throughout. I love this family and the bonds they share and how they step up to protect what is theres. Luna was AMAZING, even after all she had been through her strength shined through and I loved the interaction with her and all the brothers, and she literally cracked me up. I know for a fact I will never be able to think of or talk about apple juice ever again without laughing out loud…That rates up there with one of the funniest scenes in a book I’ve ever read and I had tears laughing so hard.
While checking out what else this author has available I have come to realize this is the start of a new series that started with another series….Yes!! I will have all of those and will be reading them as soon as possible.
I love finding new authors, especially when they are new authors that check off every favorite thing I have when reading, and I will be following and reading everything and anything this author comes out with.

Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8) By: Lara Ward Cosio 5 out of 5 stars
The story Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8) by Lara Ward Cosio is an awesome book that I loved reading. It pulls you in right from the beginning and I found myself hooked. I loved reading about Danny Boy and Amelia. Danny Boy is a man that is very attracted to Amelia. He is someone who seems to always think the worst of himself. Amelia is a woman who is looking to take a chance. She can’t get Danny Boy out of her head or her heart. Danny Boy and Amelia’s relationship is complicated. Will they be able to make it work? They find that they both want different totally different things. Will they be able to work things through? What does the future hold for Danny Boy and Amelia? Read this book to find out. I have loved reading about Danny Boy and Amelia ever since they were first introduced to the series. They are characters that I have found myself caring about and want them to be happy. This book had my emotions going up and down right along with theirs. The story also does include some steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I enjoyed reading about how Danny Boy and Amelia interact with the other characters in the story, many of which have been brought forward from the previous books. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you not wanting to put it down until the last page is finished. This is a story that should be read after reading Looking For Trouble and Felicity Found. Highly recommended reading.

Next Door Knight is book 2 in the Man’s Best Friend series by Nicole Flockton. As this was my first read by this author, I was going in unaware of the style, rhythm or pattern of this author and her work. It was a great joy to discover the story was exactly what I love about a romantic love story. The ones that are hard fought are the best!!! And it was a struggle for Kerry and Caleb. Both had damage that was evident in the way they carried themselves. But perseverance, persistence, patience and a bone deep connection and attraction would prove to be undeniable. Add in the furry little friend factor, and that is what typically goes into a quality, 5 star story. It was an experience to watch these two, who had endured so much, find each other and be able to open their hearts, minds and lives so they could bring out the best in each other. A beautiful sight to behold. 5 stars.View all my reviews

Why should the sexy immortal guy always go for the sixteen-year-old?
Margaret has given up on life. In her late sixties, homeless and unwanted by society, it seemed a logical thing to go with this rich, handsome stranger back to his expensive apartment. Sure, it probably would mean her death, but what did she have to lose anyway? But instead of finding her death, Margaret learns that nothing in her savior’s world is what it seems, including herself.
Megan is an actor, writer, podcaster and playwright in Chicago. Besides author, Megan is currently running a satirical podcast called the Princess Peach Conspiracy, about how all of the Super Mario Bros games are really a conspiracy by Princess Peach to keep the war economy going. You can hear it on iTunes, Stitcher, or GooglePlay. She also likes to knit, play games involving dice, and getting into feverish discussions about why the live action Beauty and the Beast is better than the animated version. She lives in Chicago with husband, children, dogs and extraneous relatives.

He broke her heart when he left her seven years ago. Now he’s back to reclaim what’s his… MaddJax Book One ~
Maddison Cole ~ It’s been seven years since Jaxon Jaimison left town, stole my heart, my friendship and my virginity, and took it with him. Along with our secrets. Now he’s just waltzed back into my life, swaggering toward me with his cocky attitude. And damn if he doesn’t look good. Smoldering eyes, sexy smile, and rock hard body made for climbing. Made for sin. He’s the one man that sets my insides on fire just by being in the room; just by living and breathing. The one man I can’t have. The boy who owns all my firsts. Now here he is, ambushing me with a grand entrance into our class reunion and introducing himself to everyone as my loving boyfriend, after not so much as a word all these years. He says I’m his… Says I always have been… I’m not so sure about that. Because if that were true, he wouldn’t have left me, just days after taking my virginity… ~ Jaxon Jaimison ~ I knew Maddison Cole was mine the moment I met her. Didn’t matter that we were only fifteen. When you know, you know. But then my father turned around and made her my stepsister. I understand Maddison’s worries, but I’ll never leave her again. And unlike my stepsister, I’m not hung up on the forbidden, taboo nature of a relationship between us, nor do I care what others think. We’re older now, more established, both successful. I’m not taking no for an answer. After all, I packed up my broken heart seven years ago and left town for a reason, determined on making something of myself, to be the man Maddison deserves. Maddison thinks it’s just one night, she’ll give in and then I’ll disappear again, but seducing her to my hotel suite reunion night is just the start. I’m staying, moving back into the bedroom beside hers, and the office beside hers, as co-CEO of the family business, right alongside Maddison, the current CEO… Jaxon nearly destroyed me last time. I can’t afford for history to repeat itself. Not with the future of our family and the company at risk. I’ll guard my heart and our secrets at all costs… ~
MaddJax Book Two ~
Can first love get a second chance? Maddison ~ Jaxon Jaimison wasn’t supposed to be the one. Nope. I wasn’t supposed to fall for my stepbrother. I made that mistake once. I’d be stupid to make it again. But then he came back to fix what was lost and broke. All smoldering eyes, sexy smile, and rock hard body. I tried to fight it. Really, I did. But I never had a chance. Jaxon’s mere presence sets my insides on fire, his scent and his taste put my mind in a haze. The temptation’s too strong, too close. My body craves his touch, longs to be against his. Just as I begin to feel hope for our future, let my walls down and accept what is—that Jaxon owns my heart, my body, and my soul—it all starts to unravel, when everything I hold dear is rocked by tragedy and threatened to be lost. All things come to an end, and this might be ours… ~ Jaxon ~ The years apart have done nothing to diminish the passion between us, the ever-present pull and need. But wooing my stepsister into crossing the line into the forbidden and giving us a second chance, earning back her trust and her heart after I left and shattered them both, has been a bigger challenge than I expected. Now that I finally have her in my arms, my bed, I’m never letting her go. Of course, there’s bound to be a few bumps on the path to Happily Ever After. Secrets rarely stay hushed. But I never saw what was coming. Never saw our pasts coming back to tear us apart. Never saw Maddison pushing me away. And never saw having to literally fight for our future together. Loosing Maddison isn’t an option, and I’ll fight to hold onto her with everything I am. Even, if it kills me…
After years of reading with her children and passing on a love for books, Deborah was inspired to write ‘The Destiny Series’. What started out in the beginning, as a celebration of a loving, young, innocent friendship and the affecting separation after a move, spun into a mythical journey of the loving binds of friendship, deep family ties, and an intoxicating fairy tale romance, with the power of love that knows no bounds.
‘Memory Betrayal’& ‘The Deal Series’ followed, with a leap from young adult romance to adult contemporary romance. Deborah writes stories about strong, sassy, smart, confident women and loveable, good-looking, sexy alpha men, in a range of heat levels, from sweet to steamy, who always find their happily ever after.
Deborah Ann resides in Northern California with her husband and their college-age daughter and son. And while it can be a balancing act at times, with how busy family life can get, Deborah sneaks in as much time as she can to slip into the lives of her characters, and the magical world in which they live…

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
Five Stars
I’m crying. I can’t believe my eyes what I just read. This author really knows how to take you to another level of crazy. I have read many of this authors MC books and have loved them all. I was so excited when this story came out. I love getting a follow up on the other characters. I would like to say that Demon has turned into an amazing man. I love his and Hells relationship. The plot alone was enough to have me on edge. Then you throw in Vi and it’s down right amazing. She was so strong to think of her child before herself. It takes a strong person to make the choices she did. Yeah I need another book about Demon please.

Misfortune of Vision: Druid’s Brooch Series #4 by Christy Nicholas Stars-4
I love getting to read more about characters that I meet in previous books. I love reading about these characters at different times in their lives and after they have fully recognized their power that the brooch gave them. Christy Nicholas does a great job of developing her characters as well as making the world for her characters. Although these stories are part of a series, they could be read as a standalone story.

HEELS OF FORTUNE: PJ Santini Series: Book Two by Lynne Russell
Five Stars
I come from a large family but we have nothing on PJ’s family. We all have those members that you just don’t talk about. Most of the time it’s never the main crew. PJ isn’t so lucky. Lol! Her mom and dad had me in giggles. I loved the relationship between the characters and how they came together. Bonds with people that truly know you are the things that make up our core. I found her thought process scary yet funny. It was crazy being inside PJ’s head. Though I would like to go party with her. She seems like she would be a blast to hang out with. The man cakes were too much. I couldn’t handle them. I usually find one guy better than the other but not this time. I usually love the first book and follow up with book two because you just have to know more. In this case this second book has caught me more. I was highly entertained. There was never a dull moment in this story. The author kept the book from being boring by throwing in flash backs to keep you wanting to know what was next. So much excitement and danger.

Shortcuts is an easy to read young adult novel. It focuses on a group of kids who are born with special abilities after their parents utilized a special fertility drug to conceive. Parker is the main character of this novel and is an empath. She uses her ability as a shortcut in a way with people in her daily life. Mia is the new girl and is difficult to read but could also cause problems for the group of friends.
I found this book easy to read and the storyline easy to follow. The characters were descriptive and realistic despite having amazing abilities. It was easy to picture Parker’s bubbly personality as the story progressed. I really enjoyed this novel.

The Queen of Witches by Brandi Elledge is the second book in the Wheel of Crowns series. Charlie has turned 18 and things are getting weirder by the moment. She all of the sudden is having odd things happen around her and she thinks she might be causing these things to happen. This is a great second book in the series. The story is fun and interesting. Also, Charlie is smart and funny. The story had moments that had me laughing while also keeping me reading to find out what was going to happen. I can’t wait to read the third book in this series. This is a fun read with a paranormal twist.

Until Fools Find Gold opens Mary B. Moore’s Providence Gold series and I cannot wait for the rest of the series! I absolutely fell in love with Luna and the Townsend family! Apparently I should venture into Providence Series as that is about the other arm of Townsend clan and if I can judge anything based on Until Fools Find Gold, then I have nothing to lose but loads to win! This story will crack you up! I mean Luna’s inner monologue that at times she just cannot hold in, oh my, I just kept snorting out loud! And then Noah, the caveman, the Alpha, just someone who steals your heart and you go, yes yes you can be my caveman, any time, please! And then you also cry and your heart breaks for Luna … it is one heck of a rollercoaster journey that doesn’t leave you cold! They will haunt you for a while and remind you of the need for the next book in the series!

Cold Bastard by India Kells is the second book in the Dark Sparrow series. I was really looking forward to reading this after reading the first book and I was not disappointed. The story is about Zoe Somersby and Archer Blackwood. Zoe had been brought in to work for Archer as an undercover agent. The characters are well written and allowed the story to flow. There was lots of suspense and mystery as well as a little romance. I really like this is a well thought out story and the characters are interesting people. Everyone is not always what one would assume. I look forward to reading the next book in the series to see where the story goes next.

Operation Boyfriend is a young adult romance by Molly Zenk. I’m still confused as to my feelings about this book. On the one hand it’s really well written and there is great depth to the characters. On the other hand I wanted to give the leading female character a massive kick up the backside and I also despised her best friend with a passion. Glynnis has a disastrous dating history. Her most recent boyfriend is about to have a commitment ceremony with another guy. Her mother is obsessed with her getting married and her best friend is adamant that she is going to find the ideal man for her. Corin is the geeky nerd who has been watching Glynnis on the bus every day for 2 months before finally plucking up the courage to talk to her. Corin and Glynnis get on great and are building a great friendship but best friend Kenley will do everything to sabotage their budding relationship. This story is filled with so much angst and emotion. I loved Corin and thought he was just perfect for Glynnis. As someone who struggles with conflict, I probably should have had more empathy with Glynnis but I really, really wanted to give her a major kick up the backside and wanted her to tell Kenley to butt out of her life. And don’t start me on Kenley, I hated her so, so much. I really struggled to understand how Glyniss could be best friends with her. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and adored Corin. The facebook conversations with Glynnis’ parents was hilarious too. This added to my enjoyment of the story.

Shortcuts written by Amy Bearce is a great YA read. I am older than that but seem to find a breath of fresh air because it deals with hard realities of teenage girls. This story, for me, would have been a great suggestion for me to read or my daughters to read. It deals with some troubling issues for teens. Topics of challenges, conflicts, mistakes and consequences are the highlights of this book and it shows that you can make it through with a little bit of help/ There is a fantasy story and Parker Mills is on her way to being popular. She has everything going for her, two-time winner Miss Divine Pecan Pageant, head of the eighth grade dance committee, and a secret empath. So she has everything going for her but there is a little nudge that has come into the her world. Will Parker be able to work out the details so that everyone can be happy? Will this be too much for Parker? I will be looking for more books by this author.

I loved this book and series! This is not a standalone book, I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series. This is a well written, creative story that kept me turning pages until the end. We get to see Danny Boy and Ameila’s story. They are great characters, Danny Boy is a love to hate character but it makes him real. I love how they pop off the pages. Just when I thought they would get together, life throws something else in their path. Their story is a must read.

This is the first book by Belinda Williams that I have read and I wasn’t disappointed! The story was fully entertaining with twists and turns and a couple that is too hot with chemistry. The author has a way of making you love the character’s she writes even the ones that might annoys you.
Faith and Cole are a match made in heaven. They fell in love 20 years ago but unfortunately it didn’t work out. Now he’s going to be in a movie that Faith is directing and acting in and he’s ready to try again with her. Faith is one of those character’s that’s rough on the outside but it hides her mushy interior. She has had it rough so the walls needed but these two together after so long is amazing to read!
I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait for more!

Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts Book 4) by Belinda Williams
4-stars
Wild Heart is the 4th book in Belinda’s Hollywood Hearts series and its also my first book by this author so I can honestly say that it can be read as a standalone as I had no problem jumping right into this story.
Cole and Faith’s relationship is complicated, dramatic, and full of emotional history. I loved following their journey as they tried to navigate their relationship all while pursuing their careers. I loved how there was always something going on as this had me feeling really connected to the characters and praying for a happy ending.
I will definitely be going into the first three books of the series ASAP, I can’t wait to read more from this author and I would absolutely recommend this book to others!

Heels of Fortune (PJ Santini Series Book 2) by Lynne Russell
4-stars
Heels of Fortune is the incredibly entertaining sequel in Lynne Russell’s PJ Santini series. Having read both books I would strongly suggest reading this series in order as this book follows exactly where the first one left off and is following the same characters.
PJ is one of the funniest and sassiest characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading about this year. She never fails to have me laughing while following her relatively serious storyline.
Lynne writes with so much detail that I was able to really connect with her characters and I look forward to reading more form her in the future!

Heels of Fortune is the second book in the PJ Santini Series. You really need to read book 1 as this is a continuation from that book. In this book PJ Santini is still at it trying to unravel the mysteries that seem to be surrounding her. She is still uncovering the truth of her late husband’s death and once the secrets are out there her life is put in danger. What I love about this book is you truly don’t know who to trust and the tangled web slowly reveals itself. The combo of funny/witty and mystery is awesome in this story. I really enjoyed this book. There where times all I could do was just read faster!

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift: Book One (Silent Secrets) by Lisette Kristensen
5 Stars
WOW!! I’m in a bit of shock at how much I enjoyed this book. It was an edge of your seat fast moving, easy to follow story that started out with life in a mafia family to being trained as a deadly spy with a bit of erotic thrown in the mix.
I don’t normally read this type of genre mainly because I just have trouble keeping up with more complicated issues like terrorism and spies, but this one was so easy to understand and follow that I could definitely see reading the rest of this series, as a matter of fact I sincerely must read the rest of this series, I have read other stories by this author and also enjoyed those, so it’s safe to say that I will be looking into not only the rest of this series but other books by this author.
Many thanks to this author for opening up the door for a new genre for me to enjoy!

I am just in awe of this author I really am, I have read every single book that she has written and still I am completely hooked on her writing. I know that when I pick up a book by her I am not putting it down until I have finished! Whilst Savage Collision will always be my all-time favourite Tainted Saint is right up there with it! I loved Saint! He’s appeared in previous books and I was so excited to see him get his own story along with Caroline! They were just SO perfect for each other! The chemistry between them just sizzled and that very first scene between them – oh my gosh talk about scorching hot!!! The Luca saga continues and wow does it throw up some very unexpected twists and turns! I know I’m probably not meant to like him but I can’t help it! There is something about him!! And the ending!!! I cannot wait for the next book in the series I need to know what is going to happen!! I think to fully understand what is going on in the story and the underlying back story that is continuing this series is best read in order – trust me you will not be disappointed with any of the stories!

Operation Boyfriend was a nice new adult romance read and one that I really enjoyed. When I first read the blurb I did think that the story was going to be a little predictable so I was very pleasantly surprised when it had me guessing a few times! I really liked Glynnis and can imagine many people can relate to some of the things she went through, she definitely had some bad luck when it came to relationships. I could really feel the dilemma she faced with both Corin and Daniel. I liked the twists that the author threw in to the story they definitely made me stop and think at times. The author’s easy writing style meant that I easily become absorbed into Glynnis life and I really did want her to find someone as nice as she was and I felt that she really deserved to be happy. Overall a good 4 star read and one that I would recommend to other readers. This is also the first book that I have read by this author and I would like to read more from her again in the future.
Secure Desire is my first book by R.L. Dunn. While I enjoyed the story I found it didn’t flow nicely all through the book. I got a little confused but that may have been just me. If you like reading books that contains suspense, power, money and some strong characters then this is the book for you. This is about Cassie who has gone through alot in her life and Ian who has a security firm. I liked how the storyline developed with Cassie and Ian, their characters are quite likeable. This book is also a fight between good and bad. This book does have everything you could want in a book and I am sure you will enjoy the story as I did.

Danny Boy I’ve somehow done the impossible: I got the girl I wanted. Only, I have no idea how to make a lovely person like Amelia Patterson, my former therapist, happy. She’s a respectable woman. I’m a recovering . . . everything. Just barely getting a life together. Though she may claim I have something to offer, it’s only a matter of time before she recoils from the reality of what I am. At least, that’s what the old me – Danny Boy – keeps thinking. The new me – Daniel – has to figure out how to make this work, even when it turns out Amelia and I want totally different things.
Amelia I’ve thrown all caution to the wind and decided the fact that I was once Daniel’s therapist is not a big enough deterrent to keep from having a relationship with him. I never should have crossed that line. But I took a chance. Because I couldn’t get him out of my head. I couldn’t get him out of my heart. The thing is, for all the work I did with him, and for all the progress he’s made, he’s still incredibly damaged. Is this really what I want? To be with a man who requires so much? It’s a question I have to figure out, especially when it becomes clear that Daniel and I want totally different things.
Lara Ward Cosio is the author of the Rogue Series – books that feature complex, flawed, and ultimately redeemable rockers and other bad boys, and the women they love. When not writing, Lara can be found chasing her daughters around the house or at the beach, always with music on in the background.

Heels of Fortune by Lynne Russell is the second book in the P.J Santini series. This book picks up where the last left off, but P.J. is going to find herself in a completely different mess.
P.J. has an uncanny ability to get herself in the middle of some pretty interesting and dangerous situations even when they aren’t her fault. Which makes for a great and entertaining experience with some laughs thrown in for giggle.
I have specific parts that I really enjoyed but they are part of the storyline and I refuse to give anything away. Though I will say that I laughed out loud during the meeting with Willy and I love P.J.’s family.
Looking forward to reading more by Ms. Russell in the future.

North to Nara (Crimson Sash Book 1) by Amanda Marin is a story that I fell in love with the characters. It is a YA dystopian tale and it reminds me along the lines of The End Game and the like. It’s a story about reigning rulerships that live under antiquated laws, where those who don’t abide by them are punished. It is a story of love that is forbidden and torn apart just for being in love. I enjoyed Amanda’s writing and the story flowed easily and my heart ached for the injustice these beautiful characters went through. It is a great start to the series and as a debut book for Amanda. I am now chomping on the bit for the next book.
Neve believed in all the world had to offer but that was before she came face to face with the truth, a truth that is kept from everyone. She never meant to fall in love with the wrong man but that is exactly what happened, and now they have to face the punishment.
