Garrett (Dark Water Security Series Book 2) by Madison Quinn is a story about second chances. It is a story that has secrets and lies, a little mystery and suspense and a little danger and intrigue. I would have liked to see more a little more danger, but overall I enjoyed the story and Madison’s writing style. I would read book one first because the characters crossover as it is about the men of the Dark Water Security, and let me tell you they are some smoking hot men.
Garrett is an ex-marine and a newby with the Dark Water Security team who is still trying to sort his life out after the marines. So when he is offered a new assignment as live in personal security guard he has no qualms. However, when he arrives he sees someone who he has not been able to get out of his mind since the wonderful night they spent together and now she wants nothing to do with him.
Hope spent on beautiful night with a stranger but what happened after she left, changed her life forever. She cannot think about one without thinking about the other and one just about killed her. Now she has come face to face with the new security guard, who just happens to be the beautiful stranger but as the two are intertwined everything that happened that night comes rushing back, threatening to destroy her.

Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco is a story that simmers at the start, only to end in a blazing, hot finale. This is my first taste of this author, and what a delicious treat it was.
Vincent Manetti is a hot, italian mystery. Deirdre Collins is a sassy broad that has endured much, and gives more, despite this. Jer love of life was not extinguished, and Vincent was smart enough to see the beauty that was all hers. This story was intense, intense, intense. The build had my heart tripping and my nerves taut. I honestly can say it was a splendid read. This author is one I will revisit. The story was delivered flawlessly, dramatically, and honestly. The characters entertaining and believable. I could not get enough. 5 stars

I knew going in that this was a DUET (which means two) so I should not have been surprised by how it ended. I should have known that it was going to be tied into a neat bow at 92% when it was still “heavy”. I should have known that, even though this is a quick and great read, I would not have the answers I wanted today. No instant gratification. I am absolutely invested enough to grab the second part to find out how this ends.
ABANDONED BY LOVE is a Y/A-Coming of Age novel told in dual pov and in past and present time. The way it’s written is a really cool concept. It’s a shorter story so I was able to read it in one sitting, but I can’t imagine putting this book down even if I had something else to do. It’s one of those that stories that you know how it ends from the beginning, yet I was hopeful I misunderstood.
This is a story I would recommend to my cousins who are ready to read at a higher level and 7th grade.
The ONLY reason this is not a 5 star read for me is because I think the back and forth timeline could have been done in a smoother way. It took a little bit of the reading pleasure from me. Looking forward to reading the ending soon.

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George is thankfully a fictional story but could be a true story. You simply don’t think about the consequences no matter how careful you think you are.
Abby thought she was doing everything right after she met this guy online. She flies over to meet him, meet in public, stay in a hotel, etc Things seem to be going well until they weren’t. Who knew a road trip would take such a turn.
Abby was lucky to have her best friend at home to realize something wasn’t right.
It was a well written eye opening story. I met my husband online almost twenty three years ago and looking back I was an idiot, thankfully he wasn’t a psycho.

Rewind by Rowan Shaw is a M/M romance and I really enjoyed it. I love that there are authors willing to explore this subgenre in the romance world. It since seems like this an area that is getting more popular but I don’t think there is enough. A good romance can be written no matter the sexual orientation of the main characters and we got that in this book.
This story brought some things to light that I wouldn’t ever think about or encounter as a straight person but it saddens me to know that the situations in this story could and probably have happened to many who only want to love and show the world the love they have their partner and can’t.
I love how Enzo and Florian find one another again and it feels like almost no time has past. Enzo’s friend Patrick needs his own story. I feel like there is a pretty deep story he needs to tell.

Garrett by Madison Quinn is the second book in the Dark Water Security series. I loved Garrett, he was just an amazing guy and after meeting his parents I could see why.
Hope’s life changed two and a half years ago, she went from the best night to the worse in a blink of an eye. She has struggled to start living again after that night but thanks to her best friend she is able to start moving forward.
Garrett is fairly new with Dark Water Security and is surprised when he walks into his new job. He never expected this small twist of fate when he got ready for work that day.
They both have wounds from their past they keep haunting them, especially at night though Hope’s seem to effect her more. It almost seems like anyone associated with Dark Water Security has some stuff in their past that seems to cause some problems for them every now and again.
I really enjoyed this book a lot, there was just something about them. I do have some questions about Garrett and his past. Nothing huge or really pertaining to the story, just curiosity on my part.

Hate to Love You was a good 4 star read and book one in the Baker’s Bunch series.
Samantha’s world has been turned upside down. Her brother is in the hospital and she has a secret that could really hurt people she loves. When Cole shows up to comfort her and take her to the hospital things take a heated turn. Cole quickly puts a stop to it, knowing that Samantha is forbidden, she is his best friend’s sister.
Samantha has had a crush on Cole for years. Cole has also noticed Samantha, but her brother has pretty much threatened him and told him hands off. With emotions running high and the heat between them, can they deny their feelings? Can they possibly get a HEA?
I overall enjoyed this read but I had some very high frustration levels with Sam. I had to keep telling myself she’s only 17. There is a lot of misinterpretations and misunderstandings, that add to the drama. There is also a learning piece, don’t always believe what you see and get the real story from those involved. The secondary characters were good and added a great element to the story. I actually would like to see more from these two and look forward to reading more from this series.

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord was an okay read that ket my attention, but was a little hard to get in though, not the story, just some of the elements.
This book is a prequel to “The Woman America Loves a Latte”, and it tells the tale of the life Veloura was subjected to as a child, and what her parents were like before and after they married and had her. I can say, some people shouldn’t have kids. Veloura parents are not worth the air they breath. This book broke my heart for Veloura, and what mades it all the more depressing is that her little girls like her, are, and have, lived the life she has.
Overall this book will pull to your heart strings, and will keep you reading. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will feel many things, and become a fan of this unique author.

Garrett (Dark Water Security #2) by Madison Quinn was an engaging, interesting read that held my attention.
Not my first read from this author or in this series. I met Garrett in the first book, “Luke”, so I was eager to get my hands on this book when I seen it was about him. Though this book is part of a series, it reads as a standalone, and the books takes place away from the “office” you could say, so there aren’t many, actually hardly no, spoilers from that first book.
As much as I like this book, I will say that it was a little slow going. Not just with the romantic plot, and why his lady love left him high and dry, all those years ago, but with the actual reason Garrett was there in the first place. The action plot/mystery. There was such a build up that I, felt a little, meh, at the climax, and frankly, I don’t know it was because it took so long to get there that the author may have lost some of that spark along the way.
Overall though, this book was well crafted, fun, and I very much love the MC’s interactions. I felt it, and it was believable. So yes this books isn’t all shoot them up, but this has this charm to it that keeps you reading, keeps you entertained, and keeps you intrigued. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall into this easy read.

Garrett is the second book on Madison Quinn’s Dark Water Security series. Madison Quinn gave us an earth shaking opening with Luke and she continues strong in Garrett. Garrett is not as intense as Luke but in no way are we disappointed with him! We could see the promise of him in the first book, considering how brief his appearance was, it does tell you something! Garrett’s assignment is working personal security for a tech mogul and he needs to live on site. This live in comes with a surprise though – never ever did he imagine that he would come face to face with ‘the one who got away’. Hope disappeared from his bed after an unforgettable night and leaving Garrett with nothing but a memory … In some ways we have sort of two stories in one – we have the mystery of what happened that night and what happened to Hope and then this bodyguard gig and the danger to the tech mogul. The writer is very good at building up the suspense and yes, at times it feels as if the story is moving a bit too slow but the way how the story is told, you do not dare to put the book down as you need to know who where what how why … I cannot wait to see what the writer will give us next as every single one of the Dark Water Security team members deserves a story!

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts Book 1) by KG Fletcher is a contemporary romance featuring childhood friends that have been reacquainted. Years may have passed, but something remains lurking below the surface. The ultimate question is will fate lay their cards is the right order or will they be challenged to bring all the pieces together? Thomas and Emeline both are strong characters individually, but living different paths which become apparent in how they interact and the choices they make. KG Fletcher is an amazing author and always delivers quality storms with amazing characters and intriguing story lines. I look forward to reading the subsequent stories in this series and the antics, events, portrayals that the author will develop – anticipate them to be just as great as this story.

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by JD Frettier
I was so excited when I found out that book 3 in this series came out. I read the first two books in this series and loved them, it is also my suggestion that you read these books in order so that you have more back story to all the characters that return in each book. In this story we get to meet Kitty who is a young woman who left behind her children and second husband. This story is funny, quirky, steamy and all of the wonderful attributes that the other stories had as well. This is a short read full of wonderful characters, emotion, and I found it to be very entertaining and it pulled me right in from the start. I highly recommend this book.

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D. Frettier is a hilarious and feisty story of the hereafter. Each story within the series add more and someone new; each character that is added brings something unique to their story. I find the author’s spin on the afterlife enlightening, fun, and downright outrageous in just the right ways. Flirty Dancing is the best yet, in my opinion, with Kitty’s story. Her untimely death came with after effects she’s not prepared to acknowledge and accept. I enjoyed reading how this continued and where Kitty finally ends or begins. What a great short story and a great addition to the series.

Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard is a biographical novel based on real life events. I was so drawn into this book, I couldn’t put it down. While it was heartbreaking (even more so because it’s based on real life events), it had some heartwarming moments that gave you hope.
This book really gives you hope and makes you realize you can overcome just about any obstacle with a little faith, love and determination to push through. I felt like I couldn’t keep my feelings in check because they were all over the place reading this book. I was glad I chose to read this book. It is such an inspiring book that was really great to read!

A person could disappear here is an incredibly captivating mystery thriller that is engaging and you are totally unable to put this read down. Terri George has created a read that is well written, has an incredible plot and even better characters. I can’t believe that this is the only time I have ever heard of this author, after reading how brilliant this book is Terri George will most defiantly become one of my go-to authors. This book is one of those books where giving away just a simple part in a review could ruin the whole book, this is a book you want to spend your time letting it sink in, that will leave you on the edge of seat and keep you turning the pages until the very end, and even then its a book that sticks with you a while after you’ve read it. This is an emotional read, that raw and really makes you stop and think.
This is a book that should not be missed! It will have you hooked from the very start right until the very end, not wanting to put it down! Don’t miss this read.

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George is a gripping and intense novel. It is the kind of book that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. You will find yourself guessing and then second guessing what might be about to happen and you would still be wrong. This author is brilliant. They way they have written this boom makes it so realistic. It feels like you are there for the whole journey, right alongside the characters. You can feel how raw the emotions are in each and every page. As the first book that I have read by this author I have to say it was a mind blowing way to be introduced to their work. An absolutely amazing book and one I can’t recommend enough.

Bedlam is the first of the Twisted Hearts Love Story series by Autumn Sand. This story promises it all; danger, deception and a forbidden love affair. If this doesn’t make you want to jump straight into the book, I don’t know what will. While I love a romantic thriller, I’m not always one for the darker reads. Something about Bedlam had me hooked before I’d even started and I’m so pleased it did. This was an exciting and addictive read that I cannot recommend enough.
From the very beginning of Bedlam we learn everything is not as it seems in Anaya’s life. While it might appear she has the perfect set-up, nice apartment, designer clothes, this is far from the truth. Her relationship with her long-term boyfriend has all but fizzled out, but how do you end things when before-mentioned boyfriend is the head of a mafia empire? A mafia romance you say? Not quite! Ignacio, or Iggy, is anything but the warm, romantic type. His scenes with Anaya were always difficult to read and very disturbing. His hold over her is strong, but she still manages to form friendships and a career outside of her life with him. It’s her career that throws her in Tony’s path. Now he is a man worth talking about! Tony and Anaya immediately have an intense connection and sparks fly. Unlike her and Ignacio’s scenes, I loved reading the scenes between Anaya and Tony. They were hot; so prepare yourself for some very believable chemistry.
Before you start reading Bedlam, be warned that there are some serious triggers. This is not an easy-to-read book, so be ready for some really uncomfortable reading. Right from the start we are exposed to some deeply sad events and it only gets worse as the story moves on. This book is filled with deception, danger and lies so expect everything that comes with those labels. However, this story is also hopeful and there are some really lovely scenes. While most of these are between Anaya and Tony, look out for some unexpected scenes with Fred; my favourite character!
Bedlam is both the book I was expecting, but also full of surprises. It is darker than I thought it would be but also has some lighter, touching moments. I read this in one sitting; yes, it really is that addictive! For anyone who loves a mafia or dark romance read, I would recommend this in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to read more of this series!

REWIND by Rowan Shaw. This is the first book by Rowan Shaw I’ve read but it will not be my last. This is the story of Enzo Chevalier who lost his hearing but was determined to not let it stand in the way of his success and it didn’t. He has everything working good until the love of his life walks out on him. Enter Florian Beaudry who Rowan had a relationship with in high school. Florian had his whole life planned to a tee or so he thought. When he walks out on his girlfriend and best friend he realizes his feelings for Enzo never went away. Both guys have suffered from the prejudices of our society physically and emotionally but they are learning to love and trust again. Will they let their guards down and really explore their relationship and what they can have or will the be too scared to try again. Read Rewind to find out.
A Person Could Disappear Here By Terri George. This book definitely had my head spinning. The author does an incredible job of writing about issues some may have a hard time reading. The attention to even the simplest details can be seen and I applaud the author for going through such lengths to write such an emotional story. It’s told in duel point of views and I always feel that makes for a more rounded storyline. This is my first book by this author but I’ll definitely be looking into more. It’s well written and paced nicely. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride for sure. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

Garrett is the second book in the Dark Water Security Series. It can be read as a standalone.
I really enjoyed this story. It kept up a pretty good pace and the characters were easy to connect with. I did find that the ending was a little anticlimactic, I was really thinking there was going to be more to the whole lifestyle scenario with Mr. Meyer’s brother. That piece seemed like a loose end after the conversation that is overheard. I had a little chuckle at Hope’s first encounter with her boss’ lifestyle choices. If you’re not familiar with it, it can be a bit shocking, lol.
Overall, I found it a good way to entertain your imagination on a rainy day.

Little Miss Eyes of Blue is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte and it does a great job of diving it on Vee’s past. It paints a vivid picture that tweaks the heart and answers some questions about why she is how she is. At times this story is both heartbreaking and bold, which is exactly how I feel about Vee as well. This author has a talent of making the characters feel so real so easily and I love that. If you want a good book that is basically a character study then this is for you. Just be warned that it may change how you see the world around you.

Wow! Just wow! This author is able to tell quite the story! She drew me In with the easy going writing which made me love reading this. This flows so nicely! The characters are amazing! I love the mafia slash gangster theme. My emotions ran high and I could hardly put this book down. Prepare for a late night!
I loved the characters. But then I learned to hate some of them as well. They were strong, fun and outrageous at the same time. That Tony! He is sex on a stick! The meetings between him and Anaya are so sexy. My tummy tingles and butterflies fly. Tick and Manny are not only different character names but they are interesting characters as well. They are men of action not words.
This is not my first book in this series but I am glad I was finally able to get this one read. There are some books that make a person stay up late reading…this is one of those. This is an introduction to these characters which will carry over to the next in this series. Thank goodness! I love catching up with previous characters.

My third book by this author and I couldnt pick a favorite right now even if I tried. Ive had this one on my kindle for a bit and have wanted to read it since the day I got it, and finally did and OMG, I loved it.
There was a lot going on in this story, from family issues, to friendship and the whole torn between two brothers thing happening..It was how this story was put together and told that made me love it so so much. I was afraid it would follow storylines Ive read before and things would happen and I was completely thrilled it didnt take that route, instead it took routes that had me glued to the kindle till I finished..I walked around doing everyday things while reading and listening to this story until I finished. This author has a way of drawing you in quick and then holding on as you take a journey through all of your emotions.
Izzibella Beau is most definitely on my list of favorites and I will be watching for everything I can get my hands on by her.
