Hope’s Deceit (The Fated Book 2) by Angela McPherson
4 Stars!!!!

Once again I am not disappointed! This is the second book in this series and I as totally hooked from page one. The author brings the world she has created to life . I was drawn back into the world of Trinity and Blain and the Watchers.

The drama just gets better and better in this book as the normal life Trinity is hoping for soon takes a leap out the front window and her life takes a turn. I really found myself drawn in as they try and fight against Melia and the rouges. The author has such a refreshing style and with the twist at the end I am on bated breath awaiting the next book. I will definitely be reading more from this series and this author.

A Prickly Christmas KissA Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Prickly Christmas Kiss is a beautiful Christmas present by Allyson R. Abbot, all nicely wrapped up under your Christmas tree (or Kindle). It is the first book in her Christmas Kisses series and I am wondering what else has she gotten in store that would beat this Christmasy story? AND I loved her play on all things Christmas!
I mean the names of the couple – RUDI and ELF (Emma Louis Fallon), then there is the shop keeper who looks like a Santa Claus and is called Nick and his wife is called Missis C …. And so on and on … This story is simple but it is filled with romance and magic and snow and … it will keep you at the edge of your seat until you find out who is who and what happens to our resident Rudi and Elf and let’s not forget our Sue, the magical cat …. You will want to pick up a copy, make yourself a cup of hot chocolate and indulge!

A Pink Christmas KissA Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the third book in the Christmas Kiss story. This is the story of Billie and Leroy. Billie left her hometown to go to the big city and left behind her family and her boyfriend Leroy. What happens when she returns home after five years? This is a story that explores the miscommunication between people and how we learn from it. The story is a sweet, small-town romance.
I enjoyed the characters and how Billie had to explore to become herself. I read this so quickly because I wanted to know what and how everything would happen. This is part of a series but they are standalone books and quite enjoyable. If you need a quick Christmas pick up this book will give it to you.

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is my favorite book by this author to date! This festive read is a shorter one, yet it still had plenty of detail like character introduction and past histories in order for it to feel well rounded. I really enjoyed Billie’s character, she was smart, spunky, stubborn and so caring. She’s certainly a character I would like to read more of in the future!

Allyson’s writing always manages to get me into the Christmas spirit so it’s the best time of year to dive into a book like this. I can’t wait to read more from this fabulous author!

Healing Danger: A Fortis Security Novel Book 1 (Fortis Security Series) by Maddie Wade – Review by Lisa Boltiador

Healing Danger (Fortis Security #1)Healing Danger by Maddie Wade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Funny enough, I have read a bunch of these by now but not the first couple. So it’s like going back to how it all started. I’ve seen mentioned in future books all that happened with Daniel and Claire, now I know more of that. I also now have a much clearer picture of so many involved in Fortis. Lauren and Dane are the main focus in book one. They’ve always had a connection but of COURSE he pulls away to protect her. Dumb men, I swear. Lots of action, and it’s just the beginning of the big bad Divine Watchers. If you haven’t dived into this series yet, I recommend it. Such a good read.

You gotta read it to find out what happens next!! Now I’m off to read the second of the series .. can’t wait to see what happens next !!

A Pink Christmas Kiss is the third book in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. This story pulled me right in and made me feel like was reel and I was there. The characters are well written and their chemistry is remarkable and I loved their quirky ways.
Since this is a short story I don’t want to give too much away…..

If you’re looking for a series that gets better with each book then A.M. Myers’ Bayou Devils MC Series is probably what you’re looking for. These books read well as standalone books but I would still recommend reading them all as they’re THAT good.
It Ends Tonight was a rollercoaster of emotion and surpassed all of my expectations. The connection between Lucas and Quinn is true but with every love story comes trials and tribulations. Once again A.M Myers had me on the edge of my seat wondering if we would see a happy ending and needing to know what was going to happen next.
Another great read from this author and series.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss is a festive, witty and sexy little christmas story that I absolutely adored, and was written by Allyson R. Abbott. As I just love christmas, this little beauty was just the thing to curl up with. I laughed so hard I thought I busted a rib. These characters were so charming and vibrant, the words had me desperate for the next, and the next. I was bewitched by the creative and sassy way this author played with words. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience to devour this too short, but insanely eloquent tale. I had never heard of this author before reading this story. Now my library sure knows. I cannot wait to continue the festivities with the next story. 5 stars.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is a story that goes back before Primogenito and gives you more of an understanding of the characters and story. This book drew me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.

The Fuentes family has secrets. They’ll do what they need to keep those secrets. Not all secrets are easily kept and Damian is proof of that. Due to certain events in his life, Damian feels that his father abandoned him. Whether that’s exactly what happened or not, it’s hard for those feelings not to show up in Damian’s daily life. Will the events Damian experiences interfere with his relationship or does Damian have a bond that can’t be broken with Jenn?

This book and these characters were written with such detail that it feels like you are right there with them. The book was definitely suspenseful and had some scenes that may be difficult for younger readers. This was such a good book to read!

I loved reading this story. It takes place around the Christmas season. I truly enjoy reading romance stories set around the holidays. I loved reading about the two main characters. They have a connection and there is chemistry between them. You could tell that they are drawn to each other. I was rooting for them to find happiness together. The story includes plans of revenge which can be dangerous. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters in the story, the part they play and also their interactions with the main characters. This story is both steamy and romantic. I have read other books by the author and have always found her stories to be enjoyable and entertaining.

5 out of 5 stars

The story A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Series (Romantic Suspense, Military Romance) Book 1) by T. Birmingham is a book that I enjoyed reading. I like the fact that the Fallen Eagles MC is made up of veterans and that they help other veterans and their families. I liked reading about the characters of Kit Markham and Lee Devereaux. Kit is a woman who has served her country. She is tough, passionate, and fiery. She also is a woman who has come back from her time in the service feeling broken and has built walls around her heart and soul. One of those who knows just how much she has changed is Lee Devereaux. While he always tries to be there for her, he can’t help but wish that she wouldn’t keep things from him. Threats are being received by veterans and their families. Now Lee knows about Kit’s shocking history. Will this change the way that Lee sees and thinks about Kit? Before she left they were in love. What does the future hold for Kit and Lee? Read this story to find out. This book is one the had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I could feel the pain that the characters go through and you can’t help but empathize and also feel heartbroken with what they are dealing with. This is the first book in a series and I thought that it makes a good start in introducing the members of the club and also family members. I look forward to upcoming books and learning more about the club and the work that they do to help others.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss
By Allyson R. Abbott

You can’t go wrong with reading a book by Allyson R. Abbott and A Prickly Christmas Kiss is no different. This is a nice and easy quick read and I didn’t put it down until I had finished the whole book, should only take a couple of hours of solid reading. What do you get when your nickname is Elf, you meet a man called Rudi and a couple called Mr and Mrs C and two broken hearts? A nice Christmas miracle maybe? Emma whose nickname was Elf was meant o be going away for Christmas with her best friend Carla, but as it happened on the way there Carla phoned Elf and told her that her car wasn’t going to make it, so she was sorry but she would have to pull out of their two week planned break in an isolated cabin that Carla had been to many times in her life. Elf not to impressed decided she would keep going and just spend the night there and come home. Elf’s two wishes for Christmas were being away from men and escaping another Christmas with her family. So, arriving at North Poleston is where she meets Mr and Mrs C in the general store where she bought supplies before heading to the cabin. Leaving the shop, she sees a police officer writing her a ticket explaining she was looking for gas the officer could see the most beautiful woman he had seen in his life. When Elf turned back to give the officer her license he had disappeared. Arriving at the cabin she meets a cat who even though he is a male cat decides to call him Sue. Two days later the cat has hurt his paw so off to the vet Elf takes Sue only to find out that he was the police officer from a couple of days ago. When he introduces himself as Rudi, she can’t do nothing but laugh. He questions the laugh and she say she has met Mr and Mrs C who reminds her of Mr and Mrs Claus, her nickname of Elf, the Vet/Police Officers name is Rudi and now he tells her that the cats name is Santa’s Little Helper. She also finds out that Rudi is Carla’s cousin and that Carla has spent a lot of time in the cabin which belongs to Mr and Mrs C. What Rudi and Elf don’t know is that Carla has set them up as she knows they will be perfect for each other. Will Carla be right in her thoughts? Or will Rudi and Elf be to heart broken from other relationships to see past their hurt?

The town where this takes place felt magical just like Christmas should feel. Four Stars

These were some strange characters. The whole small town was strange. In this story we have Elf a woman set in doing something different for the holidays. So she sets out to go spend the next 2 weeks in a cabin with her friend. When a series of events have her alone in this place. She meets some interesting people and a shy cop. Rudi is a strange fellow and I got creeper vibes from him while reading the story. Elf is a klutz and a little scatter brain. I did enjoy the story though it gave me a lot of laughs. The author did a good job bringing it together. There were a few moments that were confusing. But over all it was a fun and short read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Prickly Christmas Kiss was a fun 4 star read.

We meet Elf who is just found out her best friend won’t be able to make it to the cabin with her for Christmas. Bad luck just seems to be following her. She is encouraged to go on by herself and have some time to herself.

Bad luck seemed to have become her middle name. She must’ve annoyed somebody somewhere, because everything was going wrong.

Now this is a city girl going into the country, not knowing how to run a generator or chop wood. But I do have to say she did the best she could. I had several LOL moments.

She meets Mr. and Mrs C and a cat she calls Sue. She also meets a mysterious man who she later learns is Rudy. These two don’t exactly get along the greatest in the beginning but you can feel something building between them. Have these two finally found the one?

If you’re looking for a quick, fun Holiday read this is the book for you. Allyson has done a great job with her writing and she pulls you right in. I look forward to reading more of the Christmas Kiss books in the series.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the first of four in the Christmas Kiss series.

I’m going to honest, I’m not big on Christmas and the stories about it. I blame it on my childhood, but there was something about this book and series that drew me in. There are lots of Santa references throughout the story which are kind of corny but in that happy Christmasy way.

I liked Elf a lot, she was fiesty and not afraid to take of herself or be alone and I liked that a lit.

Rudi needed to meet a woman like Elf, he had been hurt in the past and let it effect him more than I think he realized.

Cute short story, totally worth the time spent reading it

In the small town of Golden Trail, PA, the Fallen Eagles MC isn’t just any group of veterans. They’re patrons of the community, the protectors of veterans and towns folk alike, and a motley group of world military-trained men and women. And their small town and the Philadelphia area aren’t afraid to call on the varied skills of this rough and ready crew to help out on a case or two.

Ten years ago, Kit Markham left her high school sweetheart, Lee Devereaux, behind to serve her country. The woman who returns is just a shadow of her former self. She might be the kickass Second of the Fallen Eagles MC, but she’s also damaged—and it’s an unbearable struggle at times, just to make it through the day. The only things that help are her veteran MC, the Fallen Eagles, her family, and long, quiet rides on the back of Lee’s bike.

Lee has his own share of war wounds, but none worse than the burden he’s taken on to see that the Kit he once knew finds herself again.

It’s been over two years since she returned home, and Lee still can’t find the girl he once loved in the woman who’s become so lost. He’s had it with being kept in the dark. He’s demanding answers—but he’s not the only one who’s interested in Kit’s past.

When local soldiers, veterans, and their families start getting threats from a team of blackmailers, Kit’s shocking history is revealed. A twist that has Lee reeling and wondering if what they once had is even salvageable.

A Prickly Christmas KissA Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Prickly Chrtistmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott was a sweet read for me.
Elf ends up stranded in a cabin in North Polerton. She was supposed to meet her friend Carla but she got held up with her family. Now Elf needs to learn how to build a fire to keep warm, learn how to get the water warm and run the generator. Before getting to the cabin she stops for food and meets a sweet older couple Mr & Mrs C.
At the cabin she finds a cat that helps her with things. She ends up taking him in and once he is feeling sick, she brings him to the vet when she meets Rudi. Is this a Christmas miracle or what?
I thought this book was well written and a cute, fast read for the holidays.

It Ends Tonight is the fourth book in A.M. Myers’ Bayou Devils MC series! I have read every single book in the series and yes, you can read them standalone but I promise you that if you pick up any book in the series, you will want to read the other SO do yourself a favour and start from the beginning!
It Ends Tonight is the story of Lukas and his brother Clay, and Quinn and her daughter Brooklyn. Both Lukas and Quinn know about loss and family … both of them have survived tragedies … both of them feel that the other one is THE ONE … I wish at times that the journey to love were not so painful, still, we all learn from the pain and it is up to us what direction we take from there … it is also up to us what direction we choose after a chance meeting …
The writer knows how to pull us in and the world she has created down in Louisiana with Bayou Devils MC and its members … every single book is like a gem and in It Ends Tonight she has given us a love story that has to battle demons and overcome obstacles that seem unmountable … Welcome into the Bayou Devils world and enjoy the hours you will be spending with Lucas and Quinn and little Brooklyn!

A Prickly Christmas Kiss (Christmas Kiss book 1) by Allyson Abbott
4 stars

What a fun Christmas story! Elf, is supposed to be meeting her friend at her cabin but fate had another plan.
Elf, aka Emma, goes to the cabin alone and tries her best to get things going in this remote town. She doesn’t expect to find a cat, who Apparantly can understand things Elf asks.
I loved the characters and especially the cat.
Cant wait for more in this series.

Hope’s Deceit (The Fated Series Book 2) by Angela McPherson – Review by Erica Fish

Hope's Deceit (The Fated #2)Hope’s Deceit by Angela McPherson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hope’s Deceit is the second installment of the Fated Book series by Angela McPherson. I would highly recommend reading book 1 as this story takes off from the end of the book. Angela McPherson has had my interest from the first word of the series through the last word of this book. I felt like I have grown with Trinity. I like the fact that Trinity is growing up and understanding what is taking place and how her destiny is looking. Trinity and Blain are together and have found how they work out. I enjoyed reading about Trinity and Blain and I cannot wait to see where their story goes from here.

Beachcomber Gone by Stephanie Queen – Review by Dori Cousley

Beachcomber GoneBeachcomber Gone by Stephanie Queen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beachcomber Gone is the ninth book in the Beachcomber Investigations Series by Stephanie Queen. Beachcomber Gone is a romantic suspense story that keeps you guessing. Dane and Shana work together in more ways then one. They go to Australia so Dane can finally meet Shana’s family. That does not go as they had planned. Unfortunately they find out Shana’s mom is being threatened. It is not what they expected. Will Shana and Dane figure out what is going on before something happens?

Another great book by Stephanie Queen in the Beachcomber Investigations series. Beachcomber Gone keeps you turning the page, because you do not want to stop reading. You want to find out what is going to happen next. The writing is engaging, descriptive and flows. The characters are well developed and believable. I definitely recommend Beachcomber Gone as well as the first eight books in the series.
