This may not be the way they intended to spend time together, but it will do them both some good. While she is there, Rose decides to see what is in the family attic. She finds a lot more than just trinkets and family heirlooms. There are things in there that she is curious a out however nobody will talk about them. How far is she willing to go to find out the truth? A quick, short read full of adventure! I liked the romance and how the characters interact with each other. The book was easy to get through in one sitting. The story and controversy around the chemo and cancer treatments really hit home for me, but also added to the value of the book. If you think it’s your speed, give it a try!

I never hesitate to pick up any work from this author because they always take me on such an unforgettable adventure! It was a phenomenal quick read for my day. I couldn’t believe how perfectly the author balanced the length of the book with the development of the plot and characters! I have read the prequel and the first book in the series, so I was ecstatic to pick this up and dive right in. I will say that it should not be read as a standalone or you will likely get quite confused with the storyline and characters. I usually have a difficult time with books that have more than two points of view, but this was an exception to the rule. It’s told from multiple points of view, and I absolutely loved it. Xenobia has such huge responsibilities while they try to make things better for the people she loves. I don’t want to give anything away, but the amount of unpredictability in this book is a major win for me! I am crossing my fingers that the author gives us more to this series. If you love dark, paranormal fantasy books, don’t pass this one up!

This was the first book I read in this series, but I have since picked up the rest because this was amazing! I’m sure reading the first books would have given me an even better experience, but even without the background, I was completely and utterly absorbed in this story. It starts out with a bang, and I was immediately invested in the characters. Getting to read about Tim and Willow was full of adventure, love, and had me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire book! If you enjoy romantic thrillers full of suspense, this is absolutely the next book for you. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

Every book in this set is amazing ! The love stories , relationships , & characters are all so unique . That ability in itself is incredible . These are sweet , swoony , genuine love stories . The intertwining of them together is so artfully & wonderfully done , you never feel like you’re missing something while being hooked to read everyone else’s story . Romance is abundant & healthy , deep connections are showcased beautifully . C.R. Alam has created a wonderful world that I happily visit every chance I get !

Shadowed Deception: A Psychological Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Book 3) by Mavery Ellscott- 5 out of 5 stars
This series has been amazing and I am hopeful the author will continue with more books in the future. Entertaining, realistic, sexy, and twisted with darkness, these books keep me wanting more. I do have to say that this particular book is a bit darker than the first two and twice as hard to put down once you start reading it. I highly recommend reading this whole series. I highly recommend reading this book.
Read through this so much faster than I thought I would ! Before I knew it I was 69% in & it was around 4:20 in the afternoon . I would’ve been defying the universe if I hadn’t finished it ! I lovelovelove 🌶 , & even though this book doesn’t have any , the story & flow were so good I didn’t even notice . To be honest , now that I’ve met her , Delilah is 1 of my favorite book heroines . Her main character energy goes so hard . Loved spending a day cuddled up with this book !

The author blew me away with this suspense-filled fantastic quick read. Although it was the 6th book in the series, it was able to be read as a stand-alone without any confusion. I do like how the author still incorporates characters from previous books into the storyline of the books to follow. This is a great addition to this series. I highly recommend reading this whole series.

This series is like fine wine it ages we’ll with each addition 📚❣️😉
When you’re about to bring up your breakfast while reading you know you’re in for a treat ! I know it sounds a little twisted but when you’ve a visual mind and the writing is brilliant it’s inevitable!
Before I go any further I just must say how much I enjoy this descriptive writing style I can almost smell and taste the delicious coffee shop , I can see the elderly couple in the restaurant, I’ve formed a very vivid picture of the characters by Becky’s descriptions of them … love it when I live a book like this , I get totally lost !
Noah is on the hunt for “Romeo” a killer that leaves rose petals and beautiful music but a grotesque scene behind and right now he’s in Philly but he’s changed his MO and something feels different …..
Sadie our undercover Land Rover driver zoots around on her line green Vespa looking more like a college youngster than the professional forensic artist that she is has crossed paths with Noah , it was a painful time in her life but she found comfort in Noah …..
Noah and Sadie are very comfortable around each other and Sadie is very perceptive of Noah’s character and I think that’s why they work well together
I’m not going to lie I had moments where I thought I’d loose my stomach content , my heart rate went sky high and I held in to the edge of my seat this was a brilliant read ! There’s was enough suspense and tension to keep me on my toes and not get totally lost in Sadie and Noah ( I can’t help it they’re amazing ) this was one of those reads that I wanted to shout about from street corner but held onto to that thought because orange isn’t my colour 🤣🙈

A Girl, Stuck was an easy read that I enjoyed however I felt like something was missing! The characters were nice and I guess you could say everyone knows someone like them, but do we want to know the characters or do we want to live in an alternate universe while reading?!? I did enjoy trying to guess what would happen next only to find out I was wrong! It kept me turning the page.

It Comes From Within (House Valdis Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie- 5 out of 5 stars
This is the second book in the series. That being said, if you have not read the first book this one may be hard to follow and you will not have all of the storyline. I loved the first book so when I got my hands on this book it took me no time to devour. The characters are super complex with so many facets and the storyline will suck you in with all of its twists and turns. I highly recommend reading this whole series.

Please be kind to yourself and your triggers while reading this book. I do have to applaud the author on how he describes the journey this poor young man, in the book, takes as he passes away. This book will make you slow down and digest life around you. This author’s writing style has a way about that can pull out just about every emotional response. If you are in the mood for an interesting from a very unique perspective, then I would recommend trying this book out.

What happens when a fly by the seat of his pants renowned playboy is forced to go be an undercover boss at his family’s theme park? You guessed it: sparks, passion, manipulation, and maybe romance too!
This is the story of Cy, the youngest son of the Sweet family empire and the amazing Jolie, a hardworking single mom who is dealing with way more than any one person should have to! Cy aka Marcus (his undercover British Alter ego) meets and is enamored by Jolie, who plays the Red Velvet Queen on his first day of work. From there, these two start a passionate fling that all too quickly starts feeling like more! Would you go against your family and give up your entire inheritance and way of life for a person? Cy is about to have to make that hard decision!
I had never read a book by Phoebe Alexander, but I am so glad I picked this one up. This book has it all: passion, sparks, emotional tugs, a corrupt corporate family, and amazing character growth that was thrilling to witness! I truly can’t wait to read more books in this series and by this talented author. If you want a fun, somewhat spicy read, you definitely should check out this book.

I enjoyed this book. It represents for me a new take on paranormal stories as it is much more than the normal werewolf, vampire or fairy story. Xenobia’s story is so interesting and I found all of the characters equally fascinating. The world created by the author is vibrant and unique. The story had a number of twists and turns and I found myself really interested in how it ended. This is a really good beginning of the series and I look forward to reading the next book.

This is the 3rd book in the Long Claw Pride Series, though I read it as a standalone and was able to grasp everything in the story I felt. You would benefit by getting to know other characters etc. if you read the series in order, I’m sure. This is also the first book by Brooke May that I have read, and I must say I wasn’t disappointed. The unique premise of second chance fated mates drew me to this book, as in most paranormal mates series the idea of a 2nd fated mate is unheard of.
I really enjoyed Boone and Cricket’s unique story and all the trials and tribulations they faced along the way. Can love like lightning really strike twice for Cricket? Will Boone, who waited his whole life to find his mate, be able to accept a young widow with a child? Will they be able to walk away from the pull they feel for each other or can they overcome their fears and pasts to make a go at it? This is a really touching second chance romance with some major and minor obstacles to overcome! I can’t wait to read more by this author after finishing this book.

This was an entertaining and engaging novel which kept me captivated throughout. Photojournalist Rose Webster was injured after being shoved and landing on the hard pavement whilst at a raucous rally. Not only does she have one arm in a splint, a weakened right hand, and bruised ribs but her camera was also broken. Whilst filling out insurance claim forms her Aunt rings to say that she needs to return to her childhood home in Lake Amelia, to care for her ailing mother. While she’s there Rose decides to have a sort out of the attic and finds some of her late father’s personal items, including a photo hidden in a book and a travel bag which seem to suggest he might have had a secret life. Rose is determined to find out the truth even when she discovers something that shocks the whole family. I found Rose to be a likeable and relatable character who I felt engaged with. Both the setting, especially the small town of Lake Amelia in the foothills of the Adirondacks, and the characters were brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative which made me feel immersed in the story. The intriguing storyline and plot twists kept me hooked and I found this to be a real page turner.

This book is the sixth in the series. Technically, it works as a stand alone book, however it would be more enjoyable within the series. If you’re a fan of Robin Cook, then this book is for you! The author has a similar style in this medical drama. We follow Tim Holland as he falls in love with Willow Colson and through a surprise medical diagnosis. The bad guys here are big pharma which is sadly believable. A downside was there were many characters to follow which would have been better if I read the other books, and there are explicit scenes. I enjoyed the story and finding out all the hidden secrets. Overall, a fun read!

Fuller Sight is a novel that dares to explore topics that are unique, original, thought-provoking, and emotional. The book is metaphysical and takes place outside of how we generally perceive reality and time to be. The story focuses on the main character of an eighteen-year-old boy named Danny who has had a tragic and difficult life. He is determined to save his friend Sade from throwing away her dreams, so he makes the ultimate sacrifice and ends his life. In the afterlife, Danny is reunited with his mom, Nora, who passed away nine years earlier. She guides him through his life and helps him to understand the events that led up to his death, karmic life lessons, and the impact those around him had on his life. Nora also takes Danny through the experiences of several of his past lives. This was an eloquently written book with topics that do not often get talked about such as reincarnation, life, loss, love, hope, death, the universe, spirituality, the afterlife, and karmic life lessons. It had me really thinking about what happens to those we love after we pass away and if they are looking over us. I have always been fascinated by the concept of reincarnation and love how skillfully the author weaved in the previous lives of Danny. A skillfully written masterpiece that will have you pondering your life in both this world and the beyond.

As usual, when I come to write a review for a book by this author I feel like a complete broken record. Each book we read by this author is fun and entertaining and has a great premise to it. They teach kids so many things but in a way that isn’t obvious or off putting. My kids always completely engage with these stories and this one was no different. We have read it multiple times and enjoyed it every single time that we have. The illustrations are really detailed and creative, they also appeal to my son in particular. This author has gained fans for life in our family and we are already looking forward to the next book.
This is a fantastic complete set of the Echo Series by C.R. Alam and I loved every book. If you love romance with twists and turns and raw emotion I definitely recommend this series. I love this series and I highly recommend reading the books in order as other characters in the previous books are included.

There is some tension at first, Dean is a bit stand offish and rude, Rae is all about business as she is a known blogger and journalist with her many adventures all across the globe. Sparks fly between Rae and Dean and months later, Dean is trying to persuade Rae to more….getting to know each other..Dean’s totally intrigued by Rae as she is no holds bar like the other women in Dean’s past. What needs to happen is also letting the past go in order for Rae and Dean to move forward. Will the past come back and haunt Dean before he can move on and fall in love?
Betrayal, love, banter, jealousy and mistrust play into this story and it was hard to put down. I loved Dean and Rae as they try and navigate their feelings while trying not to get their heart broken as well.

I loved every page of Lina and Curtis’ story. The romance, suspense, on the run danger with a few twists and turns made this book hard to put down….and I really loved the reverse in roles as Curtis is a rock star and Lina is a hired bodyguard.
Curtis Bisset is lead guitar player for the band Canis Major…..out on the town for a night just to get away, Curtis does not expect to be witness to a deadly crime. This causes imminent danger to his family and also to himself….someone wants him to pay. Lina Cheung works for private security team and was tasked to keep Curtis safe at all costs. Web of Evil (Hani’s Daughter Mysteries) by N.L. Holmes. This is the second book in the Hani’s Daughter Mysteries and even though this isn’t my favorite genre, I’m loving this series. They are so good and very hard to put down once you start them. It’s the continuing story of Neferet and her friends and this time they are trying to solve the mystery of the body that was washed up on the river bank. As Neferet and her girlfriends set out to solve this mystery they encounter all kinds of shady characters and are putting themselves in harms way while they are doing it. This is set in Ancient Egypt and the writing is so well done I actually felt like I was there. There is mystery, intrigue, crime, murder, secrets and lies. Get ready to sit on the edge of your seat as you read this great murder mystery. Its one of those books that will keep you thinking about it long after you are finished!
This book was right up my alley, and it did not disappoint at all! I love a good story with well-developed characters that truly makes you think. This is a metaphysical story but is relatable and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is not a book I had to force myself to finish or follow along with. I love the concept of the protagonist, Danny, learning all about his loved ones and helping them from the other side.I am fascinated by past lives, the great beyond, what it means to be human, and how we all connect. I enthusiastically recommend this book and look forward to more from this author!

This is a really unique book to read. At first I wasn’t sure if it was something I would enjoy however I’m so glad I gave it a chance. This for me was a really emotional read and it made me think about all things concerning life, death, previous lives and just about what happens to our consciousness in general. When we die do we just not exist anymore or does our consciousness go to another place where we can look back at our lives and the loved ones we leave behind. It is a beautifully written story and I will admit there is a lot of content and a lot of characters each with a unique and difference perspective on events. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming however if you just take your time it is so worth it. I don’t want to go into too much detail as I don’t want to give away spoilers and I really think I wouldn’t be able to do it justice. It was a very thought provoking read and made me realise that because we see a situation/circumstance happening one way that doesn’t mean that other people involved are sharing the same perspective It also gave me an element of comfort thinking that my loved ones that have passed are still keeping an eye on me.
