When I picked up this book to start reading, I hadn’t read the description or the reviews at all. I saw the name of the author and that was enough. I was completely surprised by the BDSM element to the story but I think the author portrayed it really well. It entirely changed what I was expecting from the characters and it was great to just be taken along for the ride. Cutter was definitely my favourite character. I connected with him instantly and I loved the growth we saw throughout the book. For me, the author has created one of those characters that carries the story with ease. I really enjoyed reading this story.
This is the first book in the series called Wolf. It is going to be a great series I can tell already. Each book will focus on a different couple and this couple is Princess Amelia of Avonlee and Prince Dane a wolf shifter. They are all in an academy where people from the Seven Kingdom have all joined together. Once enemies of each other are they really going to live peacefully now or is something sinister happening underneath the surface.
Amelia and Dane have been promised to each other as a way to keep the alliance between the wolfshifters and the Avonlee people secure. However Amelia has her sights set else where and is planning on changing Prince Danes mind about the whole arranged marriage. Dane however has no intention of ending the agreement when as soon as he meets her he knows she is his fated mate. Now he is more determined than ever to show her that despite their arrangement they are actually fated mates. Amelia however is very stubborn and determined to push Dane away at every turn. Will Amelia realised the truth or will her constant refusal lead to a breakdown between Amelia’s family and Dane’s pack?
The author does an incredible job of weaving this story full of adventure and magic. There are so many creative characters from wolf’s to dragons and witches to Fae. Each character is unique and I can’t wait to see and learn more about them as the series progresses.

Vacation Flirtation…or More? Is a fun and sexy Rom Com and the first book in the Winter Getaway romance series even though it is a standalone book. It is a nice and easy read that will lighten your day as you dip our toes in the sand and surf in Turks and Caicos.

Opposites attract in this tale where the chemistry is hot, steamy and sexy and jumps off the page. I loved the playful & sometimes sassy banter between the characters that had me laughing out loud. You will need a drink or two to cool down.
It has been nice to see the growth of Stacey as a writer from her first book to this book.
Giuliana Giovanni’s can’t keep her eyes off one hella hot mystery man who sets her pulse pumping.
Landon Parker is in the Caribbean for one thing and one thing only that is until he see one sexy woman who makes his brain go to mush. But will his secrets come between them?
Vacation Flirtation is an engaging book that will have you believing in love and wanting to float away on your own holiday.
He falls. She falls… but oh what a fall…kind of like one of this free falls that has you in the edge of your seat and has you questioning everything as you watch to see what is going to happen. This ending was action packed for Ava and Kingston and leads to their Happily Ever After and I’m (finger crossed) hoping to a beginning for Oliver.

I did not see this coming. Eve received a call from a friend’s mother. The woman was panic stricken as her daughter always called or came home from college. When she did not show up, Eve went into detective mode and followed the clues to find her friend. That is all you get as I give no spoilers. This is a cozy mystery and was enjoyable to listen to. The storyline was easy to follow, but the end was shocking for me. I enjoy reading books from this author. She sets the scene and takes her readers on quite the journey. I love a story that reads like this. The characters give you that feeling that you have met them and they are friends. The story is fast paced as well as heart pounding. I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

Nessie and the Viking Gold (Nessie’s Grotto) by Lois Wickstrom and Jean Lorrah. I love this author so my nephew and I are always excited to read them. This one is another adventure with Craig & Linda at the grotto which their parents are terrified of due to being scared of them drowning. They are going to enjoy all kinds of fun things including a concert, a Viking treasure hunt and Nessie their friends home may be in danger. Nessie is based of the Loch Ness Monster and she is friends with Craig & Linda. This series is geared towards 7-12 year olds but my 5 year old nephew loves them. This would make a great gift for the young one in your life. Such great books for families.

Fade into the Night (Philly Heat Series) by Becky Flade. I have loved this series and was so excited to get to read Noah’s story. Noah is a FBI Special Agent and he doesn’t really make time for romance. He is focused on his career 100%. Sadie is a Forensic Facial Reconstructionist and she and Noah met a while back and had a short fling. Sadie met Noah during her mothers murder trial so Sadie was deep in her feelings. When they reconnect sparks are still flying. There is also a “The Beltway Romeo” that is attacking women on the loose so Noah is working on that case along with his new found relationship with Sadie. When Sadie is attacked by the Beltway Romeo Noah is determined to find him and make him pay. When Sadie is attacked she puts some of the blame on Noah and their relationship struggles afterwards. Will they be able to work thru this attack and keep their relationship strong? Read Fade into the Night to find out! Can’t wait for the next book!

The Scent of Snow (The Winemakers Series) by Giovanna Siniscalchi. This is such a sweet novella about Pedro & Anne and their love story. Anne wants a baby more than anything and Pedro has scars from his past that he isn’t too sure about starting a family. Set during the holiday season and with snow on the ground a tragedy hits their community and Pedro is pulled even farther into his fears. He become responsible for some children whether he wants to or not and he is having to face his fears. This is such a sweet story about family, fear and failed relationships. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to know the characters better. I can’t wait to read more in this sweet series.

This was an adorable, cute and funny romance. These two had such a cute flirt going on. I absolutely laughed when she dropped into the old guys lapped and he copped a feel. What a way to start a vacay. (and it wasn’t even the cute guy). Some secrets were hidden but they both shared and were upfront about them. I loved watching this relationship develop. It was a wonderful read that helped brighten a rough weekend. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Alexa has had some trouble in her past, walking away was the hardest thing she had to do. When now she has got her life back together a good education and is a Lawyer her moving to Montana was the best thing she could have done, until she meets Miles the towns ladies man she is drawn to him but does not understand why. So when he drops a bombshell on her, the first instinct is to run as far away from him as possible she has already a toxic relationship and survived she does not want to go down that path again.
Miles is a careful, self proclaimed ladies man but when Alexa comes into town he believes there is a chemistry and draw to her like he has never felt before. With his heritage he has always been seeking his fated he believes he has found it in Alexa, but when he shifts after one night together Alexa runs and does not look back, can he find her and convince her they are meant to be together in the end.
This is not the first book I have read by this author and this will definitely not the last. I’m not a big shifter genre reader but with this book it had me gripped from the beginning. Understanding the back story regarding Alexa was helpful and what she went through was heart-breaking but did put into prospective her life and reasons for certain reasons.
Miles as a character was brilliant, well rounded and great alpha male role and his characters care and charm made him a great character to get behind to get the girl. As I said although Shifter books aren’t my normal go to the story was a full bodied story with the Shifter element to Miles as a added bonus.
With the twists and turns in this story it will have you reading well into the night and hope you read the rest in this wonderful authors back catalogue you will not be disappointed.

This is a great book for teaching young kids about not hurting others and how it affects those who they are harming. The illustrations are beautiful and make me wish I were at the beach, pinching crabs or not!

This book was very well written. My only complaint is how short it is. I wish there was more time to get to know the characters. The plot was easy to follow, but again just flew by. Overall, it was a great and easy read I just wanted more substance. It is also nice that it can be read as a stand alone.
I do have to say though, the epilogue hit me in the feels. Both Miles and Alexa obviously have their own communication issues that they need to work through together, but ultimately they found their way to each other and are growing in their relationship. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick, easy fantasy romance read!

Test of the Four is the second book in The Serrulata Saga by A.E. Bennett. This continues the adventure we started in ‘Gathering of the Four’ (Book #1)- so if you haven’t read that yet, I highly recommend that you do in order to fully appreciate this story. As with the first book, this is a sci-fi fantasy adventure with a dystopian feel, action, drama, danger, a ‘quest’ of sorts, challenges, threats, friendship, romance, mystery, tension, and intrigue (just to name a few). The story/series is set in the distant future which adds an extra element of interest to the overall storyline, plus we get several POV’s which gives us a broader perspective of the story/series as well. After really enjoying the first book in the series, I was excited to embark on more of the adventure, diving this second instalment. While I did appreciate the story- there were times that I felt like this was ‘heavier’, slower going, choppier and more ‘wandering’ than I expected. The author has a very descriptive and detailed writing style, which really helps to paint a picture of the world, characters, and adventure- but at times I felt like this portion of the series/story got a bit lost in all the detail. It just didn’t have the same ‘dynamic’ and engrossing feel (for me) as the first book did…. But there was a lot of ground to cover here, so I put those above issues down to the author setting us up for what might happen in the next book/books. So, I will just have to wait and see. Leora, Roland, Aurora, and Leopold are continuing their adventure, having left the Realm- but things aren’t going quite so great. We follow along as they face threats & challenges, try to control & hone their ‘powers’, embark on romantic entanglements, and grapple with their own inner demons. The story continues! I couldn’t start and finish this one fast enough. The author continues building the world around Cole and Riley, engulfing the reader in the story. The attraction between them is palpable, despite hating one another. They couldn’t be from more different worlds and they each have their own secrets, so what happens when they are forced to live in the same world?
The author crafts an intense, engaging read that keeps you turning the page. I quite enjoy the world building. There are times I read books set in high school that aren’t believable or read as if they are adults instead of teenagers and while these teenagers deal with adult themes, I feel like the author does a great job bringing in typical teenage issues that make the setting feel authentic.
I devoured this book and the author has me on the edge of my seat to start the next one!

Wow! What a great, fast-paced read to start a new series! This prequel introduces us to main characters Riley and Cole, as well as a host of supporting characters like Riley’s mom and Cole’s brother and cousins. The author does an amazing job setting the story and starting to create depth and mystery into the characters and beginning their development through the story. The author sets up an intriguing plot following Riley and her mom, who never stay in any place for long, and also following the super elite Cole and family, riddled with problems of their own. What happens when these two collide?
The author has an engaging writing style. If you’re looking for your next series, get ready to be consumed by this one!

Even after reading the first book in the duet i knew what type of man Kingston was and I really didn’t want to like him, but he worked his way in no matter how hard I fought it.
This book had my head spinning with everything that happened and I found myself flipping page after page to see what was going to happen and how everything would work itself out.
Ava did a lot of growing up and losing of her naivete. She also developed a back bone little by little, especially when dealing with Kingston.
I love the sweet love stories but there is something amazingly interesting a guy with a dark soul.
I cannot wait to read more by Ms. Moran, see her becoming a favorite of mine pretty quick.

After reading the prequel, I couldn’t wait to read this. I really enjoyed getting to know Cole and Riley. Isla Vaughn does an amazing job at character development. Although not necessary, for best enjoyment reading the prequel adds to the background knowledge of the 2 characters. It begins with Kai being able to keep her mouth under control even worse than usual, and Waters acting robotic in order to not let her see his interest in her, while the disembodied voice of ‘God’ coming from all corners of the room. What originally seems like a pretty cut and dried request with a fiery beauty of a director to Waters quickly turns into much more, and that’s not even factoring in their magnetism to one another.
As Waters learns more about Kai, he starts to catch on to her situational awareness and ability to call people for what they are as being survival defenses, but from what? Before you know it, Waters makes it his job to protect Kai from the threats, break-ins and accidents that have now led to her brother going missing. Is Kai being targeted on behalf of her brother? Is she the end goal? Will they be able to keep one another safe, or is it their hearts they need protection from?
There are some parts included that could trigger some readers with assault.

Betrayal of the Gods is Book Five in the Relic Hunters Series. It is a YA adventure with drama, action, mystery, intrigue, and danger. The story is superbly written and full of historical detail, Greek mythology and folklore. Brothers Matt and Adam must race against time to try to solve the mystery around what happened to their father. In this adventure the brothers find themselves without the help of their team and aided only by their wit and skills to solve the mystery. A fast-paced story with twists and turns that will keep you riveted and have you reading until the final pages. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Having only recently read the first book in this series, it was lovely to get back to the characters. They are so entertaining to read about and my kids really seem to engage with them. I loved the premise of this story to; helping friends, looking out for others. It is exactly the message we are trying to teach our kids right now and this was the perfect way reinforce what we were saying. My daughter seem to connect with this story even more. Environmental concerns and impacts are something she has been learning about recently at school and this book just really helped to put it into context for her in a fun and entertaining way. This is a great story that is worth reading.

4.5 stars I really enjoyed the first book Gathering of the Four in The Serrulata series and was excited to get stuck into the second book Test of the Four. I do recommend reading Gathering of the Four first. The gang is back. A.E. puts Leora, Aurora, Leopold and Roland through their paces and it is not all fun and rainbows. They are injured, battered and bruised mentally and physically, running from evil, in danger, held captive, come into powers, even find themselves in different times and places plus so much more. A.E has even turned up the heat in this one in more than one way. This intriguing series is a futuristic dystopian sci fi tale and the first book in this series. As with the first book A.E. wove together intricate multi-layered threads that draw the reader in. The world building and the storytelling gives a vivid picture of this post-apocalyptic world and the compelling characters. The story told in multiple POV’s giving us a broader picture and depth of who the characters are and what they feel. This intriguing read takes us on an adventure that makes you feel part of the story and had me wanting more. As I said about the first book, A.E. has set the stage where there are so many options and angles to explore that makes look forward to what could come next. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy if you love sci fi tales and if you don’t, I can guarantee you will like this series.

Test of the Four is the second book in the series. I definitely recommend that your read book 1 first. What cool characters. I loved the personalities. They all had such unique and intriguing characteristics. We had grumpy Leopold to the nonbinary Temple to former Lady Aurora. All the little romances were very interesting. The pairings were sort of explained as the book went along. I felt the book gave more into the back story during the healing time for Leopold. It’s a wonderful series. I can hardly wait for the next to come out.
