This is my first story by Brooke May and I wish I would’ve read the first three before this one. That would’ve given me more of an idea of the storyline and Brooke’s writing style. This is a shifter story with werewolves. It was fun to follow as the story unfolds and tells us the relationship between Alexa and Miles. Miles knows he loves her but she is worried because of past trauma. I plan on going back and reading the first ones so I can learn more.

Group Hug is a polyamorous romance novel. Callum and Petra move into the home Weston inherited when he realises he needs to rent out a room or two to stay on top of his mortgage. Their mutual attraction is immediate, and it’s only a matter of time before they work out how to navigate a relationship that suits everyone’s needs and desires.
I particularly enjoy the cosy domestic scenes – sharing meals (Callum’s excellent cooking is described in mouth-watering detail), snuggling up to watch movies and so on. The dogs are a great part of the story, often relieving the tension or providing something for characters to bond over.
Petra is a ghostwriter and has researched and written polyamory in the past, so is on hand to provide definitions of different terminology (eg why this is an MMF book rather than MFM) and suggestions for things they can try in the bedroom. This may be helpful for readers who are less familiar with this.
Another great thing about this book is the inclusion of the characters’ families. Weston has lost his family, and Petra has a difficult relationship with hers, but Callum has a big and loving family who are fun to read about!
This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of romance who are open to reading about a caring and supportive polyamorous relationship.

Beautiful artwork and beautiful story and lesson to be learned. I love seeing all the friends coming together to clean up the beach and the waters. It was heart breaking to see the turtle, Fay with the pop can plastic around. This is a wonderful book for parents to teach their children about not leaving their trash everywhere, when there are plenty of trash cans accessible, and keeping the world we live in clean not just for ourselves.

A fun book full of short stories of different shifter types, they love they find and the hurdles they have to overcome. My favorite of the short stories was House of Harlots, I loved the heartbreak Ivy goes through and the way her and Jax come together. Along with all the drama with his pack in between. Cat and Mouse was another favorite, Rowan loves Elorah, but Elorah just isn’t getting it. Their story is sweet and I am glad he never gives up on going after her. After I finished Release the Hellhound, I was left wondering what was coming next, it seemed to end abruptly but we get an ending for Ezekiel and Lorna at the beginning of A Mate for Draco. I like how the these two stories flowed one right after the other. Gargoyle Mine was a fun and interesting read, I have never read a shifter romance with a gargoyle and it was interesting how Bryant or Ekkom came to be with Terra.
This is the 2nd book in the Serrulata Saga and the adventure continues for our four-Leora, Roland, Aurora and Leopold. I do recommend reading the first book before this one as it continues from the first book and would be confusing for people if they jumped right in with the second book. The author does an amazing job of world building. Allowing us a glimpse of what life could be like in the future as well as giving us an amazing view into life in the Realm.
After the four of them manage to cross over the border they find themselves in a world that they don’t know or understand. Everything is different and dangerous and with Leora struggling to control her magic and Leopold fighting demons do the four of them stand any chance of survival to return to their realm. Also with things happening in the realm as well and people’s lives being placed in danger by a soverign that has no control over his power will their be anyone or anything left for them to return too.
This book is a really interesting read with twists and turns, magic and adventure as well as a blossoming romance between Aurora and Roland. The authors character development has made them feel like family and I can’t wait to continue reading their journey to understanding their powers and themselves in the process.

Great life lessons taught in a fun way! My daughter loved reading this book with me. Sasha is a fun character with a bright personality. She learns life lessons in everyday activities of her life. Young readers will be introduced to bravery, self-acceptance, self-love, and growth. Sasha teaches that it’s okay to make mistakes, and that we can learn and grow from every experience. What a hidden gem of a book!
Wolf is the first book in the Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns series, an incredibly enthralling romance academy read. I have to mention how beautiful the cover is, and that it really caught my eye! Definitely made it hard to resist that age-old saying of not judging a book by its cover! I loved this book so much, the character development was just perfect! I haven’t had the pleasure of reading R.C. Reigh’s work until now, but I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on more of this series!! Just a fantastic read!

I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this series. There is something to be said for being able to read all the books in the series one right after another. This series has all the characters that you could possibly want and then some you didn’t even know you needed. I love when a series follows along with all the characters and then you get glimpses of those characters in other books. This has all the romance that you could possibly want in a series while keeping the integrity of the story line. Reading the whole series like this makes it hard to pick your favorite book within the book. You will find yourself being swept away with the words on the pages and unable to put the book down. This will make it a quick read, well as quick as reading 7 books can be. lol. When finished you will feel as if you have added new friends and family to your life. This was such a good read! I just couldn’t stop once I’d started. It follows Riley, Cole and Damon, about a year I think after Savage Start, the prequel to this book. Riley’s mum and Cole’s and Damon’s dad are dating but nobody is happy about it. Damon and Cole are still angry about the death of their mum last year, blaming their dad so the last thing they want is another woman on the scene. Cole is suspicious of Riley and her mum and is determined to find dirt on them to split their parents up while also making Riley’s life hell in and out of school. It’s a great read with lots of twists and turns. There’s sexy scenes, funny bits, teenage drama and it’s just awesome! Already looking at getting the next one in the series. Highly recommend it!!

I was absolutely in love with this book from page one. I thought it was well written, had a great story flow, and was all around a well done book. I loved the FMC from the start of it; her tenacity and sass making me laugh often throughout the book. This was a good 5 star read. It has been awhile since I have read this genre and I was pulled right in. This was different from what I have read before regarding shifting, I like it when authors put their spin on things. Alexa and Miles were great characters. I love the tall dark and handsome alpha males. Alexa has a past that she has kept secret for years. When she learns what Miles is, memories of her past come rushing back to her. Then we get a scary twist when her ex shows up. Will Miles be able to save Alexa? Overall I really enjoyed this book, I was on the edge of my seat with all of the thrilling things happening. I’ve read all the books in this series but it took me a minute when I started to read Resisting Nature to have it all become clear, since it’s been a while. I love all these books. I also think it might be time to go back and start over again! One thing I like that the author does is that all the books in this series overlap. The story being told for each pack member overlaps with the next one. I find that awesome in a series vs it being one story ends and the next begins. Alexa has been through the ringer. And now that we get to delve into her story we finally find out why. Coming out of a previous abusive relationship to a werewolf no less makes her skeptical about moving forward. When she meets Miles she’s drawn to him, but doesn’t feel she can trust him. Starting them off with a lot of push and pull. Miles knows it the minute he lays eyes on her, “mate.” But how can he court Alexa and discuss his true nature without her turning her back on him. Especially when she keeps pushing him away. Well one unexpected night changed that and caused her to run. Unfortunately he didn’t know the real reason why, just assume it was because of his wolf. However once danger nears he vows to never let anyone hurt her. Will Alexa ever open up to Miles? Can Miles keep her safe? This series has a lot of ups and downs. But that’s what keeps the reader on their toes. This story specifically makes you feel for Miles. But the underlying danger I think was the most significant of all the books in this series. You (as the reader) know but at the same time you don’t know what’s coming. Which is why I really like this author. Do you need to read the other books? Not really Should you? Absolutely! So what are you waiting for?!?

In this MMF romance, three is not a crowd, it’s just right! Ariella Talix is a first time author for me, but I was intrigued by the synopsis. I jumped head first into Group Hug and I’m really glad I did. Fate and a touch of desperation bring the main characters together as roommates. Weston, Callum, and Petra, along with their lovable canine companions are pleasantly thrust together. This book has just the right amount of spice along with romance, humor, and a touch of fear, heartache, and loss. There were moments that shocked me, moments that angered me, and moments where I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. The characters were pretty realistic, believable, and definitely lovable and I found myself fully invested in their relationship and happiness with one another. Ariella Talix’s world building was spot on. I could see the layout of Weston’s house in Carmel in my mind, picture the Chicago landscape, and feel the love and affection between the main characters. I can’t wait to read more books by Ariella Talix!

This is a very insightful book which teaches the value of mindfulness and positive thinking to the kids. Just yesterday I was at an event, and a lady casually questioned another lady “What’s your daughter good at?”. The other lady took a moment to answer and said “singing”. It took me an effort to suppress my answer “What if it is nothing?”. This book is an affirmation of the same message. The pressure to perform has its weird effects on children. This book promotes softer emotions like bouncing back after disappointment, appreciating differences, expressing oneself and handling peer pressure. I liked everything about the book except the title “Short stories for girls”. I am a mother of two boys and I think this book is relevant to boys as well. Hope the author considers this review for the title of her next book.
The Scent of Snow was not my favorite book…. it wasn’t bad per say, but not for me. It is an old time romance, but had a very 50 Shades feel to it. The characters and their situation and the storyline all leaned that direction. I didn’t love the wording for the spicy scenes. It’s the first book I read in the series so I was missing some background events, but it wasn’t bad- The author did a good job providing enough information so it didn’t feel lacking. The book had a good ending but I just wasn’t invested with either character, so I likely won’t read more.

Somehow I managed to read The Hidden Valley Elite series and skipped book one. Until now. Savage Lies by Isla Vaughn is book one in the series, I’d say it definitely is necessary for following along in the next books (so don’t be me and think the prequel was the first book!) Riley is just here to make a new name for herself. She is running from something but clearly runs right into Coles crossfire. Cole is the best of the best, the top jock here at Hidden Valley High School. Well him, his brother and his cousins. Knowing you darn well should stay away from someone but feeling the tension between the two of you makes everything incredibly confusing and difficult. This book is crazy, but In all of the best ways. Since I’ve already read the whole series, I’ll just say it is DEFINITELY worth it. This was one of my favorites and I look forward to other books by Isla!

I’ve read books by Brooke May in the past but never from this series. While Resisting Nature is not the first book in the series, I didn’t feel lost following along on Alexa and Miles’ storyline. I really liked both main characters and the fact that the story was written in multiple perspectives. The writing style was really intriguing and genuinely grabbed my attention within the first couple chapters and held it throughout. This was not a light and fluffy read but the plot was well thought out and followed through. I am usually a vampire/witch fan but this shifter/ werewolf theme was fantastic. I would definitely read more of this paranormal romance series in the future.

A New Day for Cray (The Adventures of Cray Series) by G Pa Rhymes. This was the sweetest, funniest book for your favorite young person. My 5 year old nephew loved it. Its the story of Cray a crab who likes to go around and pinch his friends. His friends names are Hay, Ray and Fay. Because Cray always pinches them his friends tend to move away when he comes near. Cray was confused at first but when he realizes his friends didn’t like being pinched he learned a lesson. He also learned his friends were true friends because when he lost a claw they told him he was perfect just the way he was. Those are true friends. Such fun pictures, raps and story line. Perfect for the youngster in your life. Great story for young preschoolers starting out in school as well. This author will be added to my nephews favorites!

Its about 4 royals who attend a school made for them to seek peace for their Kingdoms. Ameila of Avondale is set to marry Dane of Carpathia and she is not happy about it. Ameila wants to make her own way and choose her own love. When Dane meets Ameila he knows right off that she is not his fated mate but he still wants to marry her to form a union. On the other hand Dane doesn’t want Ameila doing anything she doesn’t want to do. Ariella really can write incredibly. Her specialty is MMF and she does it well. Her storylines are interesting and well written. The spice is great and everything flows well together. I’ve read Ariella’s historical fiction but this was a more modern story that had a guy looking for a roommate but two roommates show up. They hit it off pretty quickly. The three of them had their own issues but were able to work things out and overcome everything together. I liked reading in the multiple viewpoints, not to mention the doggos. It was a fun read.
Shifter Shorts by TK Lawyer is a mix of Paranormal/ Fantasy / Shifter Romance stories that are short stories each focuses on different characters. My only complaint is I wish they were just a bit longer. Couple of the stories felt a bit rushed in spots. This collection contains a mix of shifter romance,dark romance and paranormal fantasy. My favorite of the collection would have to be Gargoyle Mine. I was definitely surprised by the shark shifter story as I’ve not read one before. I will say there may be some content that may be a trigger for some. I enjoyed reading this book and highly suggest reading it. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I am really enjoying this series, each book adds another level to this very interesting story. The world created by this author is so unique and I love revisiting it with each new book. Botosoni and Catina’s story as they found each other was so special. As with any great love story there are a few twists and turns but every thing turned out great in the end. This is a good series and I look forward to reading the next installment.

Adam Hunter is a sixteen year old boy who lives a boring life, always getting into trouble to make his life more exciting. That is until he gets news that his older brother, Matt, is missing. Turns out Matt was living a double life. Adam thought his brother worked a boring desk job. That was far from the truth. He actually was a relic hunter working for a British Museum. Adam may be the only one who can find his brother through encrypted clues left behind in Matt’s journal he kept.
Matt was looking for the lost Eagle of the ninth legion. Something that was thought of as just a myth. Adam leaves behind everything he knows and makes his way to Rome to try to find the Eagle and his brother. He isn’t the only one on the hunt for the Eagle though and the people also relic hunting are very dangerous. With the help from Matt’s team at the museum, Adam realizes he must not fail. Lives are at stake.
The author wrote this book in two different timelines, the present and back sometime around 70 AD. I personally am not a huge fan of roman history but I liked how the author wrote from the perspective of someone from that time, plus the present day was full of mystery and action that kept me engaged. I also enjoyed Adam’s character growth. He lived in the shadow of his older brother and felt unworthy but since Matt’s saving was up to Adam, he had time to live up to his potential and grow up in a way. I am excited to see what the Hunter brothers are up to next.
