Looking for a sweet story to warm your heart and get you in the holiday spirit? Look no further, this story was such a fun and cute read. The author did a wonderful job of bringing this story to life with her words, i definitely had times where it all played out in front of me and I’m a sucker for a story that makes me forget I’m reading a book. Each character is well thought out and easy to connect with. The storyline was unique and intriguing. I’m so ready to see where this author takes readers next. Five stars for a book that gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings.
Romance between the heartbroken and a cute rescue pup, can’t have a cuter story than that! Between their back stories and their connection, I absolutely loved getting to know both Wynter and Caleb separately and their connection blossomed. Coming from very different backgrounds, Caleb is a local who grew up in a wealthy family and is a former Navy SEAL and Wynter is seeking a fresh start after arriving from Manhattan is reeling from her heartbroken situation. Neither is wanting to seek a special somebody but somehow they find each other. First book read in the series and eager to read more!

I absolutely love Kimberly Mullins! Every thing I’ve read of hers, has been great. I haven’t been disappointed. It was a great, fun and super fast read for me. Historical fiction isn’t my top favorite genre but I have to say, the author has a way of drawing me in and enjoying every page. I love the notebook mysteries series so I had to read this! So glad I did. I highly encourage you to check out her work. If you want an adventure, this is for you.

Chasing Cheer is a clean Christmas romance that will make you feel like you are watching a Hallmark Classic. The Characters are enjoyable and the story line will put you in the mood for the holidays. I thoroughly enjoyed Schneider’s writing style. Her novel was very descriptive and allowed me to feel as if I was on this journey with her characters. I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who likes clean romance and is ready to begin welcoming the upcoming holiday season.
I have been a fan of Kimberly Mullins since reading the “Notebook Mysteries” series so when I saw this one, I knew it would be another win.
I love the historical adventure that Mark has embarked on. What started out as a simple trip to Texas to investigate a mysterious object in the sky leads him to several other places, as well as interesting stories to write for the paper. Cameo appearances and/or mentions from characters in the Notebook Mysteries series also show up, making this even more memorable.
I’m excited to read more books about Mark and his adventures. I highly recommend this book!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with The Calamities of Camden Callahan by Brittany Tucker but I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. This book was a rollicking good read full of pirates, betrayals, lies, fights, cover ups, secret ordeals, revenge, and surprises. It did have some death, medical experimentation, and sickness as well. I’m going to guess that this is rated as a young adult, dark fantasy, adventure novel, but it read like something more sophisticated, and it was wholly original. I hope the author publishes more books in this series.

I have read a few books by this author, and this one may be my favorite. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked it up as it isn’t my usual genre, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. The vivid description of imagery alone was enough to make this stand out, and I really felt surrounded by each scene. You get pulled into each character’s life and feel incredibly invested in such a short amount of time. There is plenty of action and danger, but also passion and strength throughout this book. I highly recommend picking this up even if it doesn’t seem like your cup of tea. I believe this author will pleasantly surprise you with the wonderful world they create surrounding the emperor’s daughter!

Although I believe this story can be read as a stand alone, it’s the third book in the irresistible series. This read shows you that some times people listen to their brain and not their heart. After a life altering event both Brian and Amanda begin to give in to their chemistry and into what they have been avoiding for over six years. The author does a great job making you feel the emotions the characters feel. I’m anxious to read other stories by this author and in this series too.

While this book is the fourth book in a series, it absolutely can be read as a stand alone. This book focuses on additional characters in Buckeye Falls, Ohio. I have read the other books and absolutely loved them, and this book does not disappoint. Alice Snyder, sister of mayor Anthony, has moved back home. She is used to being cast in a negative role and considered a black sheep. But, the town meddling in her love life is one step too far. She decides to fake date James Gibson. James is new to town and dealing with his own problems. Alice definitely doesn’t expect their fake romance to become anything more than that, while James is hoping that it will. The story was sweet and a fun escape from reality. I recommend reading this one as well as the rest in the series!

This is the fifth book in the Logan McKenna Series. It was just as good as the previous books. I have enjoyed every single one of them. In this book Logan gets pulled into a murder investigation while on vacation. I love that the scenery/places change from book to book and it makes the storys more interesting. Allan Evans kills it again! Cade is back in book two facing more challenges. After stopping a serial killer in book one, he finds out about a website for serial killers to challenge each other! And besting the cop who caught the last serial killer is their goal. This book I feel is darker than the first but again, very well written. Allan Evans has a very unique writing style that I’m drawn to. If you like murder mysteries I highly recommend this book. It can be read alone, however do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on book one!

Another great story by the author, great character and world building! Add in suspense, action, romance and a very well written story that keeps you hooked all the way to the end. I really appreciate that the author connects the characters from prior books in the series. When a dead body is found, Sheriff Hamilton decides to cut his personal time of reflection short to search for the murderer. Soon Sheriff Hamilton finds that his case is matching up with FBI agent Liza Bartholomew’s case. What will come next? I highly recommend reading this series in order. Killer Smile is book two in the series (the first book is Killer Blonde). Detective Cade Dawkins is back and this time things are a bit more complicated. Instead of chasing down a single serial killer, now Detective Dawkins is part of a new sort of “game”. A page has been posted for serial killers to post challenges to each other and now the detective is the target. Now, with multiple serial killers in the area, all targeting him, the Detective is growing paranoid and terrified of what is to come. His loved ones are in danger and he has no idea when or where the next attempt will come from. I really enjoyed this one more than the first book, since there are so many more threats and chances at things going wrong. I also loved that it was a unique idea and not something you see in other “catch the killer” books. Very well done!

Another great book from Allan Evans! The cat and mouse game between the killer and our hero, Cade, is very well written. I would really like to dive deeper into Cade’s character but the story itself was a quick and easy read. I was never really left wondering what was going to happen next, but I thoroughly enjoyed the boom and am looking forward to reading the next installment. As always, I recommend reading this or any other story from Allan Evans.

Killer Blonde is a multiple POV story, told from Detective Cade Dawkins’ and a psychopathic serial killer’s POV. I liked this alot as it gave me both perspectives and tiny details that may have been missed from the other person’s view. This is a fast paced story and has alot of things to unravel. Cade Dawkins is your typical story-book detective. Seasoned and professional, and known to close impossible cases. When a series of car accidents turn out to be a little too suspicious, it becomes apparent there is a serial killer on the loose. And, not only is there a killer on the loose…he has a specific type – gorgeous blonde women. Now Detective Dawkins needs to catch this guy before he finds a new target, and the ongoing game of cat and mouse becomes more and more intense. I think the only thing I did not thoroughly enjoy about the book was finding out the identity of the killer “too soon” and would have enjoyed that little detail to be drawn out a bit longer. Murder Year is a mystery novel that centers around a high school girl named Sasha who is trying to solve a mystery involving a series of murders that have occurred over the past year. With the help of her friend, Jonny, Sasha attempts to piece together the clues and find the killer before it’s too late.
Throughout the book, readers will find themselves caught up in the twists and turns of the mystery as Sasha uncovers shocking revelations and unexpected suspects. The pace of the narrative is quick and keeps readers engaged, while the characters are well-developed and relatable.
I did like the discussion of the relevance of religion- thought it was refreshing in a YA book.
My favorite quote: “No one expects to be murdered. Well, unless you’re one of those paranoid kings in a Shakespeare play. Or in the mafia or something.”
Overall, Murder Year is a solid mystery novel that will keep readers guessing until the very end. Whether you’re a fan of the genre or just looking for a good book to sink your teeth into, this one is definitely worth checking out.

1897: A Mark Sutherland Adventure is a historical fiction novel written by Kimberly Mullins. JThe story follows Mark Sutherland, a globe-trotting adventurer, who is hired to investigate a strange occurrence in Texas, among other places. Along with his partners-in-crime, Hans, they soon find themselves caught up in a dangerous plot involving a dangerous cult and a powerful weapon.
The novel is set in the late 19th century and captures the essence of the era through its attention to detail and atmospheric descriptions. The author’s writing style is engaging and keeps the reader’s interest throughout the book.
The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the plot is well-crafted, full of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the end. Additionally, the novel does not shy away from exploring complex themes such as loyalty, betrayal, and vengeance.
I personally thought the two interconnected stories were disjointed, but keep reading- the author does combine them! I also question if the amount of people in 1897 were literate, but would have to do more research (more piqued my curiosity). I loved the reference to chasing windmills and Don Quixote- adequately describes the theme!
Overall, 1897: A Mark Sutherland Adventure is an entertaining and well-written novel that is sure to appeal to fans of historical fiction and adventure novels alike.

Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker is an emotional, heartfelt story about loss. love and healing. In this story, we follow Hope and Adam. These two have wonderful chemistry. Watching Hope give her all to help Adam was heartwarming and also heartbreaking. The author really pulls you in and you feel every emotion. This story made me cry more times than I care to admit. I fell in love with Hope and Adam and wanted the best for them, whatever that may be. This is such a good romance. It is very hard to put down.

Another fast paced and entertaining crime thriller with detective Cade Dawkins as the main character, and once again I was gripped. Dawkins thought one killer was bad enough but now thanks to famously stopping a serial killer he has multiple killers targeting him. Having discovered a dark website for serial killers, Dawkins learns that the website is used by serial killers to share their exploits, brag and offer challenges to each other. Unfortunately his fame at stopping a serial killer in the Twin Cities has resulted in a new challenge being issued, “Come to Minnesota and outsmart the detective who stopped the Blonde Killer. Come and kill”. Time is against Dawkins as he tries to stop the killers, but he also has the media turning on him, the terrified public and the governor threatening to fire him to contend with, oh and the serial killers trying to kill him! All of which makes for a real page turner of a novel. I like how the story is told from multiple POV’s, even though being in the mind of a serial killer is unsettling, but it made me feel more engaged with the overall story. The storyline is full of drama and suspense and the plot twists kept me hooked until the last page. It can be read as a standalone story, however having read it after ‘Killer Blonde’ the story does continue and I understood Dawkins backstory. An enjoyable and exciting read.

This is one author I never hesitate to pick up a book from. Her work is always so well done and this book is no exception. For me, this was all about the characters and their connection. It was so strong and could be felt on each and every page. Although this is an intense story it is one that you can easily become invested in. This book is the fourth in the series, however it can be read as a standalone. My recommendation would definitely be to read them all as they are so good and it is worth the time investment. This book was a brilliant addition to the series and has just made me want to read more.

Every book I have read by this author has been part of the same series. This is the first book that deviates away from that and it is even better than I expected it would be. Right from the start, the book is well written, imaginative and intriguing. There are so many twists and turns as the book develops that I could never figure out how I thought it would all turn out. This author has a very distinctive writing style and it is one I have come to appreciate through all the books I have read. Reading this one, it is great to see that her style and skill for creating enjoyable books isn’t specific to a single series. This book was brilliant from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading her books from the first one. This one may just be my favorite yet. This is a story that takes place during the time that everyone was in search of gold on the Yukon. Mark is a reporter who wants to go to the Yukon to see what all the fuss is about as it happens. He takes you on his adventure on how he gets there and what he finds along the way. I enjoyed his character and what he brought to the story. He pulls you into his world with ease and keeps you there until the end. I found this book to be fast paced and hard to put down. A well written story with an adventure which may or may not lead to happiness for all. This is a great story that I enjoyed reading for sure. I highly recommend this book.

While this book is part of the Mission 3047 universe, it can definitely be read as a standalone because in this book we get to delve into the character of Sarge. I enjoyed Ledwith’s development of this character and the fact that we get to have Sarge tell his story. This story isn’t my typical read and it is a little different, but it was enjoyable, the writing is superb and very imaginative, and it does engage you. Overall, I would recommend if you were into sci-fi and adventure.

Killer Smile is the sequel to Killer Blonde, and I loved the premise of this one. I do think it’s best to read the first book as there are references to the events which took place. You’ll also get an introduction to the character of Cade. The writing was easy to follow and well-paced, but this one is darker than the first and more graphic. This isn’t a bad thing for me, I enjoy dark thrillers, but it is something to note if you aren’t okay with that. I loved the idea of killers competing, that part really drew me in. Another thing I enjoyed in this book was that the character of Cade felt a little more flushed out than in the last book. The events of the last past have affected Cade and that gives the character a little more depth. Overall, an enjoyable read and it was great to see more depth.

This is an entertaining crime novel following the pursuit of an interesting serial killer by Cade. I thought it was different the way the story was told through multiple points of view, including the killer. This was an element I wasn’t sure of at first but the thrill of when and how they’d be caught was engaging. There were moments of frustration when you want to knock some sense into some characters and some elements did break the realism of the story for me procedurally, however when looking at it as a purely fictional case, this was still an enjoyable case to be ‘involved’ in. The writing style was simple and easy to follow. The pacing felt right for the story, there wasn’t any rushing to get to the end as can sometimes be seen in mystery thrillers. I very much liked the author’s style of writing. I did enjoy the characters however, I felt that there could have been a little more complexity to them, some back story which shaped them and developed over time. I may a little bias in this as I really enjoy character development in my reading. Overall, this was an entertaining read, it wasn’t as dark as I was initially expecting so it was an easy pleasant read.

This is not only a new author for me, it is also a new genre. Having said that, I found this story to be entertaining and with a lot of good feels. Paying it forward is always a good thing. When Sarge was in high school he was approached and offered a better life. To get away from working and focus on his studies. That was just what Sarge needed to get started. I could tell you more, but I feel this story is well worth the read. While it is short, it holds a powerful punch. It also shows what can happen if just one person can change the outcome of another. This author knows his stuff and by putting in on paper we all benefit. I look forward to seeing what comes next. I really enjoyed reading this story.

This is the sequal to Killer Blonde. I really recommend that you read that book first so you get the full history of Cade Dawkins and why he is now being targeted the way he is being targeted now. This is a dark psychological Thriller which had me gripped from the beginning and wouldn’t let me go. The author writing was really unique and the insight you are given into the minds of serial killers and people using the dark Web is both terrifying and gripping. As someone who loves crime stories and especially psychological crimes I was addicted to this story and all the elements that the author includes.
After ending the run of the serial killer nicked named the Blonde Killer Cade Dawkins was enjoying the peace. That case pushed him to his limits and spilt more blood than he ever wanted to but the killer was done and peace was resuming or so he thought. Little does he know that on the dark Web in a forum specifically for serial killers there has been a challenged put down. Who can go against Cade Dawkins and succeed? Who can commit murder on his patch and not get caught? Now Cade has not one serial killer to contend with but several and when the cat and mouse games get to close to home and the people he cares about can Cade keep his witts about him to protect not only the people he cares about and loves but the public as a whole. There is a target on Cade’s back but its everyone around him who is in the firing line. I really felt for Cade, after all he was just doing his job by taking down the Blonde Killer but that one action brought him to the attention of every other serial killer who wanted to be known as the one who went up against Cade Dawkins and won.
There are so many twists and turns in this fast paced read that i was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The odds are seriously stacked against Cade in this story but his determination to bring an end to these evil killers really shines through.
