This is the first book I’ve read by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The story takes a few chapters to get to the action, but once it does, it really takes off. I enjoyed the interesting spin on how paranormals exist. And I liked the way Julia discovered what she’d unknowingly gotten involved in. Overall, a great read!

Ten Little Starfish is the cutest little counting book! The illustrations were adorable and truly helps the young learner visualize the lesson. If your little starfish is familiar with the beach and sea animals, this is a must have! My nephew really enjoyed it as a regular bedtime story too!

This story absolutely surprised me. I did not think I’d enjoy it but wanted to give it a shot because of other reviews and let me tell you no one has lied. It is a great book. It was so hard for me to put down after I got into the first few pages. It was something that happens so much in today’s world but you don’t think about it too much until you read about it. Claire is doing it all and she just wants to be a family but things are hard when you are a teenager.
Having been involved with a feral colony and TNR myself this is a cause really close to my heart and this story is so beautifully put for children . It’s a very rewarding yet heartbreaking thing to be involved in 🐾😢
I often had children donate food and sometimes even their time and more often than not they could love on kittens 🐈⬛🐾❣️
I loved sharing this with my little visitors in the library 📚❣️🐾

Each book i this series can be read as a stand-alone but I think you get a fuller experience when you start from the beginning, it feels like you know the man better 😉

This is book 5 in the Commissario Scala Mystery series. Even though it is part of a series they can be read as a standalone as each book is a different case. This author does an incredible job of creating a story full of action and twists and turns that you never see coming. The detective is like a dog with a bone and will stop at nothing until the mystery is solved and the murderer caught. When a car is found abandoned with blood splatter in Detective Scala is in a race against time to find out what happened to the woman. Was it a case of an affair ending badly or did the woman have connection to something darker. As Scala trys to uncover the lies and secrets to get to the truth he has to come face to face with the darker side of society. Is this the case that finally gets to Scala? Can he solve the case, keep himself safe and protect a witness? Will he be able to discover the truth before its too late?
This book is action packed right from the start and doesn’t let go until the end. The twists and turns means you can’t predict the outcome of the story which makes it even more gripping as you can’t stop until the end.

Complicated Choices by Risa Nyman is an intense and powerfully told story. While the typical high school senior is worrying about high school troubles, Claire Jackson has to worry about taking care of her baby brother. It was heartbreaking to watch this young girl give up her life to care for a baby that wasn’t even hers. Claire is such a well-written character. She is loyal and the strength she shows as a teen is inspiring. The story is rich and complicated. The choices that Claire is presented with are complex and there are plenty of twists and turns. If you want a book that will draw you in, I highly recommend this one.

OK if you wanna talk about an eerie thriller, then this is a book that you should pick up, this story begins with a missing journalist who comes to town to investigate a string of other vanishings in a little resort town. However, what you end up discovering by the end will take you in a direction you never saw coming. It took quite a while in my opinion for the story to get going, but at around the 40% mark you will keep turning page after page and it will all start to come together. The secrets, the connection, and the history will keep you captivated to the very. You will wonder how these people are vanishing, why they are vanishing, and when you discover the who, you will find yourself reeling with excitement. This was a wonderful thriller by an author I had never read before.

I borrowed this book from my library because I liked the cover, and I am so glad that I took a chance. The story has so many elements mystery, love, crime, and is just overall an excellent book. I cannot imagine finding the love of your life, and then having everything you thought be true, not be. I love the character of Owen and the sacrifice that he makes and how much he trusted Hannah from a man who probably found it very hard to trust anybody. Hannah was the epitome of a strong, caring, selfless woman, who you could feel put so much into every decision. I found myself very drawn to her and knowing, that at the end of the day, Owen made the right decision. The amount of turmoil, pain, and stress this woman must of had to endure, was more than one person should have to. I could feel her grappling with each decision, but not really grappling with each decision, because at the end of the day , she was going to do whatever was necessary even at her own demise. The young character of Bailey in many ways was like every 16-year-old girl you find yourself, shaking your head, sighing, and just accepting her for what she is, a child. However, watching how she progresses throughout the book , you find yourself wanting to wrap your arms around her and tell her everything will be OK. By the end, I think she realized how lucky she was to have someone like Hannah in her life as well as someone like Owen even though he had to make a hard decision. The final portion of the book with a last minute encounter actually brought tears to my eyes. This author did a tremendous job in every single aspect and this is exactly what I look for when I’m looking to read a great book. I can’t wait to see what else this author offers and getting my little hands on them.

So I picked up this book from my library because I really liked the cover and I liked that it had military characters. It took about 30% of the book to get into it but once I did, I really fell in love with the characters and their dogs. This author did a good job of bringing you into the fold and letting you feel what each character was going through. I found myself crying as Mercy was trying to navigate her way through a serious loss as well as her PTSD. I really felt how this character had a difficult time trying to connect with her fiancé’s dog Elvis and you got a glimpse into just what some of our military personnel deal with and what it must feel like to have survivors guilt. Add in a funny and caring game warden and his Newfoundland dog and you have all the makings for what could be a phenomenal series. This author does a great job of providing just enough mystery, secrets, and camaraderie. I cannot wait to read more books from this author, and see how each character grows and overcomes all that they have been through.

The Ring of Eagna was a great book. This is the fourth book in the series. I haven’t read the other books and I was able to follow along okay. This one was so good, I want to go back and read the others. I loved that this books was a who done it type of read. The characters was well described. The world building was well thought out.

This book was an exceptional read! The world was well-created and the characters created were tantalizing and dangerous! Riodoran and Prissy are freakin’ chemistry at its finest! Pris has some serious trauma that she has to work around but she has decided to take do what is best for her…or so she believes. Then walks in Riodoran O’Rourke and she has to play it cool to keep everything she has worked hard for doesn’t go down the drain. However, things never go the way you want them to, and once it clicks for Riodoran things will never be the same for her! The spicy levels of this novel are fantastic! THE BALCONY AND SHE SHED SCENE YA’LL! MMM!! The only downside is we focus on the MCs and their interactions, but the story surrounding them. I would’ve enjoyed it even more if we could have gotten just a bit more out of the 2 main characters’ bubbe a bit more! Either way do yourself a favor and read the book!

So Carter picked up on irregularities and he didn’t like what was going down and when he starts ruffling feathers he gets threatened so he decided to go off the grid and heads home and spends a lot of time in the library and the family brewery .
Carter gets Duke on board with his theory and Sunny gets on board as well and in return Carter will do things to get Sebastian to notice Sunny but this guy is a real chop so I think she just needs to forget him and move onto Carter 🥰
It was good to catch up with old friends and skunky pets and dirty old birds 🤣I laughed hard so many times and found myself quoting bits I read to any willing ear ❣️📚there was also a bit of suspense and romance and really just a fun read where characters become friends ❣️📚

Rom com with a taste of the best era! Back to the 80s is an awesome trip down memory lane. Blaine Reynolds is a great character who loves the 80s and owns a shop to prove it. Eric is a business man with an agenda to keep. What follows is an emotional comedy of errors and discovery of what is most important. This is well written, with characters I was totally invested in and imagery of an era that I loved. Highly recommend.

The Nature of Secrets by Debra Webb is book 2 in the Finley O’Sullivan series. This one revolves around a very strong and independent woman who seems to have it all. However, as secrets unfold you are brought into the loop and realize that not everything is, as it seems. Finley continues to deal with the aftermath of her husband’s murder and questions Everything she once knew.
It takes a little bit to get into this book, but I really appreciate how the author portrays Finley as a strong, female character. This book will keep you engaged and you will be glad you picked it up. I cannot wait to continue this series.
It’s hard enough being a 12 year old, now imagine being a 12-year-old who is on the run, has witnessed something very scary, and has people chasing after them. This is the third book in the David Adams series and it does not let you down. Chad Zunker is quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors. This is the fourth book that I have read by him and he continues to draw me in. This story has everything that you would want in it as a genuine, good legal thriller. I grow to like the character David Adams more and more, and I really love the inclusion of the “type “of clients that he works with. It makes the story that much more engaging for me. If you like legal thrillers give this author a try!

I love this sports romance that gave me all the feels that I love with hockey, spicy romance, family drama, secrets and second chances. I was super excited to get my hands book and it definitely did not disappoint

This was such a great romance read! This was the first time I read anything by these authors and I am so glad I did. The writing style really flowed and I enjoyed reading from Blaine and Eric’s point of view. Blaine is literally the perfect character in my opinion. She is positive and hopeful without being naive. When she makes a bet to save her store she is not expecting what comes with it, and neither is Eric. As they spend time together secrets are omitted that could turn the tables for the store Blaine loves so much. As the deadline nears things take an unexpected turn. I definitely enjoyed this contemporary romance and will be looking for more from either of these authors!

This is a phenomenal collection of romance stories, and it really seems like there is something for everyone here! This is the second anthology I’ve seen that has the stories separated by “Heat Levels.” I think that’s kind of a neat way to let you know what you’re getting into and have the ability to choose what level you’re in the mood for. The first one that I fell in love with was “Unexpected Heroes” by Naomi Valkyrie. I was absolutely blown away by how rapidly I was pulled into this story and fully invested in Elijah, Griffin, and Jude. The flow of this story is flawless, and the characters are incredibly relatable. I always love this author’s work, so I was pleased to learn they were included.
There were two others that stood out to me in this anthology: “Into the Flames” by Dawn Luedecke and “Unbreak My Heart” by Jade Marshall. Into the Flames starts off with cute quips of Dalton making fun of Sadie’s cooking as it keeps setting off the fire alarm every night. It gets a bit steamier (Heat Level 3) but the author kept a strong storyline as well. If you love firefighters, do yourself a favor and pick this up. Unbreak My Heart is a level 4 on the spice meter, but it starts off sweeter than you’d think. The author masterfully bides their time before letting the steam fill up the pages. Don’t pass this collection of romance stories up, you may fall in love with more than one!

I picked up this book on a recommendation from a friend. I did not know that the author intended for the book to be read in sequential order in the series. That being said, once I figured out the pieces and the parts that I was missing, I truly loved this book. I will be going back to read the rest of the Off the Record Series as well as the Black Halo world. However, I am not going to let the fact that I haven’t read the others color my review of this book. Spook is such an interesting character, he was well written and clearly had a past that left him hurt. The fact that he ups and runs when his secrets get out is relatable, I mean who doesn’t wish that they could just run away and start over. I love that he has made such an impact on the rest of the band that they are determined to help him, no matter what it takes. The author describes this book as angsty and that is exactly what this book is. This book depicts what I envision what a rock star’s life is like, especially when it comes to all the bedsharing. Spook is what brought me to this book and what really has drawn me to the Black Halo world. Xane had a lot of flaws, but his concern for his bandmate really was endearing to me. I truly enjoyed how far he went to get his friend and bandmate back. I definitely recommend this book, but I also recommend reading the rest of the Off the Record books first!

This is a collection of stories from many best selling authors. It is filled with happily ever after stories that each features a normal everyday hero, not a super hero, but someone you or I might know. The best thing about this anthology is that I picked it up to read the story written by Naomi Valkyrie, who is an author that I truly enjoy, but I was able to find many new authors who writing styles were all types I seek out and who appeal to my preferences. I love Naomi Valkyrie’s story and I thought the characters in her story were so wonderful. Elijah and Jude were amazing characters and I truly enjoyed getting to know them. Jude was absolutely heartwarming as a neighbor. This story is the reason I picked up the anthology and it did not disappoint. But each and every story features wonderful characters and fantastic romance plots. I definitely recommend picking it up, you just might find some new authors to add to your must read list!
