I have been waiting for the second installment to this series and I could not be more happy with the results. Tamaska kind of irked me in this book, I can understand her fear of dogs due to a past trauma, but I feel like Kodiak more than proved over and over that he would never hurt her and would always protect her. Shota, I could tell he was going to be a problem for the couple, he seems just so angry and has tunnel vision when it comes to Tamaska. There is still no reason as to why the vampires want her so much and what is so special about her blood, but it seems to me that Tamaska may not be all the way human. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Holly is a born nurse but after a very traumatic experience in the emergency room she has to take a sabbatical to heal and get over the sense of not belonging so she travels across Australia following music festivals where she either works as a nurse or volunteer , she travels in her trusty “steed”!Norman and I must say he’s rather decorative but the meaning behind his art work is a lot deeper ❣️🚙
While finishing off at a festival she gets a call that her grandmother Mona is in hospital and she heads to Bendigo to be with her and that’s where she meets Christopher….let’s just say his reception was rather chilling ….
Christopher has demons of his own and he has misconceived ideas of Holly and who she is and her story let alone her relationship with her grandmother but there’s no mistake both of them love Mona ….
So Mona and Christopher were working with children on a garden , but the children all come from abusive backgrounds where the mother has died at the hand of the abuse and more often than not they saw it all go down and man my heart broke into a million pieces but there’s healing here and Holly is so good with the children and the gravitate towards her but Billy and Sophie have a special place in my heart and the relationship they share with Holly is just amazing 🥰
Watching Christopher ( Kit) discover Holly and the magic they share was beautiful but even more amazing was the garden and it’s healing and yes I cried alot but I also laughed a lot ( Jaffa reference 🤣🫣) there were some rather stressful and mail biting moments where I held my breath !

Wonderful series continues With brilliant characters, engaging storyline and excellent world building, the Protector Wolf series continues with Marked Wolf. Tamaska and Kodiak have to work through their differences, find the blood opal and keep the pack safe. There is so much within the book that kept the pages turning. Lots of action, drama and chemistry. Highly recommend.

Content Warning: child abused/paedophilia. Indigo is a girl with a haunting past but a bright future. Gideon is her best friends brother, who is new to town and living in her guest house. When Indigo begins to receive threats regarding a new contract with work, her ex-army guest is the perfect person to keep her company. It’s got the best friends brother trope and the bodyguard trope! Indigo and Gideon have so much in common and have a really lovely friendship, which makes their love story all the better. The only issue I found was that sometimes it felt like the writing was telling rather than showing, which wasn’t needed because you could understand what was happening without it being explained. My favourite character was Indigo, although it’s hard to choose between her and Gideon. My least favourite character was Oliver. I recommend this book because Indigo’s story is an important story to tell and it’s inspiring to see her overcome her past. I also love a friends to lovers story. ‘He was my comfort spot, my safe space. My home.’

Forbidden Wolf is about a pair of star-crossed lovers. Tasha is a vampire and Levi is a Lycan and unfortunately their species are at war with one another. The punishment of being caught together is death yet they cannot stay away from each other. Most of the book is set in Tasha’s point of view with a few chapters from Levi to tie it together. They are both realistic characters that have a strong drive that will not stop. I enjoyed their blossoming forbidden romance and hoped for them to run away together. I originally thought that this book was going to be extremely predictable, but this was not the case. Amazingly the twists and turns in the book and the ending were even better than I hoped for. Can’t wait to read the second book Forbidden Mate!

Spoilers for the previous book, Forbidden Wolf, are ahead. Tasha and Levi are finally able to be together due to an uneasy truce between the vampires and lycans. Both species have a common enemy now – the hellspawn. More secrets are revealed about the unlikely but destoned pair as they uncover more secrets of the vampires and lycans. I love Tasha and Levi finally being together and further building their relationship, they are perfect for one another. Forbidden Mate has several twists and turns starting about halfway through the story. The ending caused me to pick up the next book, Forbidden Moon, immediately.

I highly recommend Forbidden Moon and the whole series The Shadow Chronicles. This book is an amazing way to close Tasha’s and Levi’s love story. Their relationship is pushed to the limit with having to lead an army against the hellspawn while protecting their daughter. It is by far my favorite of the trilogy due to learning more about the creation of vampire, lycans, and witches. I was at the edge of my seat until the very end. The ending is everything I hoped for and more, it gave me goosebumps reading it! I can’t wait to read the next in the series Forbidden Blood.

Forbidden Blood takes place during Forbidden Moon but with the different viewpoints of Kimber and Fabian. Kimber is Tasha’s younger sister who has never felt like she belonged anywhere. Fabian is a guardian of the world to ensure balance and order. They bring out the best in one another and heal their pasts. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book!

This picks up where we left off in book one. Master Campania is the seventh book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. I know I keep saying it, but this series really does get better with each new instalment- Ms. Black ups the ante every time- seven books in and the spark and intensity are still dialled up on high. This is another superb paranormal romance in this fantastic series- a romantic suspense/dark romance with vampires, an underworld society, mafia vibes, a fated mates element, chemistry, sizzle, witches, magic, agendas, politics, danger, emotion, action, dramatic developments, duty vs love, trust issues, choices, and plenty of passion. This could be read as a standalone if you wanted- but having said that, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before beginning this one because each instalment in the series focuses on its own separate character/s, and there are also some interconnected details, as well as recurring characters that span the series- so I really recommend reading from the beginning, so you know what’s happened right from the start. Plus, you would be seriously missing out on some fantastic stories if you ignored the other six books. The best part about this series is that there are 12 books planned…. which means more sexy vampires still to come! Oh, and did I mention VAMPIRES!!!!! Bring on Book Eight- I can’t wait!!! This book takes us back to the world of Arcelia and Rodrick, as they go through their adult life and manage their relationship with the politics of their families. I very much enjoyed this book, it was a quick read that I disappeared into after a day out on the river. With the way it ended, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a final book in the series, but I would like to see another book pop up. Overall, a good book and a good series to try out!

I definitely liked this book a lot better than the sequel in the series. I really enjoyed how it followed a different character, and the book definitely kept me engaged. Sometimes I feel like I get slammed with character after character, and I feel like there could be more to the story, just a couple more details here and there. The plot was a fantastic plot, and it I enjoy seeing the writer grow as the series grows. Catch you at book four!

The book seemed to drag on a little bit through the beginning and middle. It goes over a lot of politics for a good half of the book, which does tie in to the plot, but also can be a bit tedious. After the first books ending with Roderick and Arcelia, I was expecting a bit more romance, but of course nothing comes as easy as we think with books. I do enjoy the plot the author gives out, but the writing style can be a bit confusing. There’s a lot of POV jumps from character to character, and half the time I didn’t know what character was telling the story until about halfway through it. Make sure you’re reading the series in order, since the first book goes over the lore and background of the world and society set up. Over all, a book I did like, and I’m curious to see what the author does next.

Guarding the Crease was an enjoyable sports opposites attract romance. However I feel the bigger message the author projected was a man’s journey of finding himself. Growing up, seeing his awful actions through the eyes of others, and the acceptance and guilt that came with it. Wyatt has fallen. He lost the job he loved, all because he couldn’t reign in his partying ways. It’s something that happens to a lot of athletes and celebrities, however now he will do whatever he can to get that dream back. His journey is eye opening in so many ways, and the author presented that beautifully. Then there’s Serena, the PR rep for the CO hockey team. Who spent so much of her first so many years with the team, cleaning up Wyatt’s PR blunders and organizational blows. Now he’s back, which worries her. Worried she will be spending time cleaning up after him again. Crazy thing about all that is she has agreed to be his date for his brother’s wedding. Maybe it’ll make her job easier, by being there she could get ahead of an issue or so she thought. What happens when she can tell he’s changing? That he’s starting to understand and embrace the turmoil he brought to the organization? All that and so much more comes from this book. If you’ve ever been in a place where you had to stop and look in the mirror, well you’ll understand what Wyatt is experiencing throughout this book. I’ve always enjoyed sports romances, but I enjoy this book more due to Wyatt’s personal journey.

Complicated Choices is a YA Family that will take you on quite the emotional journey. This is an emotional story that is packed with drama, family, secrets choices and so much more. I found myself relating to the characters of Claire and her mom and the choices they had to make on more than one level. My heart ached for them all. This is still a fairly new author to me but man I’m a fan. I will suggest having a kleenex close by as you might find yourself tearing up a few times. Claire is a senior in high school who is faced with a life changing choices . What will happen when she has to make a tough choice? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next in this emotional journey. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I was anticipating this Book #4 in the Shadow Chronicles series….and boy oh boy it did NOT disappoint! I have loved this series from the beginning and I highly recommend starting with book #1. The cover…wow….stunning….the story giving me all the feels I love about paranormal romance with a mix of vampires, lycans, magic, danger, secrets and twisty roller coaster of emotions…… I really feel that 5 Stars is not enough…..this book was fantastic.
Kimber, the younger sister of Tasha, is a vampire with special powers…..Kimber was subjected to cruelty by her coven leader because of her gifts…and she feels that these gifts are more of a curse than for good. Fabian is a Shaman who has this compassion and empathy….looking from the outside in… but has this sense of being and helping Kimber find her way and make her feel safe once again.
Will dark magic and danger threaten Kimber and Fabian…….definitely read and find out! I am hoping that this author continues this series…..highly recommended!

Intrigue. While this is the fourth book in the series I had originally planned to begin with this book in the series, thankfully I followed the advice of the reviews and went back to book one first. Yes, this book I feel could be read as a standalone, but it could get confusing in some places with other characters if you don’t have the full background to this point to fully understand the weight of the situation. Following the perspectives of Fabian and Kimber this book is the beginning of their story, but it also fills in some questions of the previous three books. Spanning immense time compared to the first three books we first met Fabian, 200 years ago. While a part of a search unit he began to have doubts and questions about what he had been told and the first was about a hellhound, Ginger. He follows his gut and is proven to be right that a soul born in hell does not mean that it is evil, it can live once more on Earth, peacefully. After his unit is ended, he is allocated to Guyana as his area to protect and keep safe. Time jump, five years ago, Kimber is now in her conscription and hates it but more, so she feels she is defective. She doesn’t look like a vampire or have the same appetite, though she forces herself to grab a bag she doesn’t let the blood touch her tongue. Unfortunately, the ick that is Castus is present and like her older sister Tasha he takes an unwelcomed interest in Kimber. The problem being her gift that protects her from unwanted “affection”. Now she is a part of Castus’ collection of rare and beautiful things. Flashes of his experiments flood her mind at first touch, and she prays to the Great Goddess to save her from her prison. Will Kimber be free before she is permanently destroyed? Can Fabian discover the plan of the mad scientist before it gets too late? Is Ginger safe from the masters Fabian saved her from? Once again, the author adds so much to the world that she has created. While the previous three books built the world it never stopped revealing more of its secrets. The same holds true for this book as magic has returned and their world is now being revealed as Kimber finds her place in the chaos of war and life. Also, while Tasha and Levi will forever hold a special part of my heart Kimber and Fabian now have their place as CR Robertson has truly become one of my new favorite authors. Her characters leave you begging for more even when you reach the last page. Fingers tightly crossed for a fifth book soon.

Broken is the second book in the Green St. Girls Series by ND Jackson. In this book, we get to follow Indigo and Gideon. This was a lovely story. I really enjoy getting to see more of the girls’ friendships. You get more of the well-crafted narrative. There is just the right amount of steam with the romance. It is lovely to see these young ladies get the love from each other and their love interests that they didn’t get in the past. These are some very emotional stories told in this series and I love every word of it.

Bared by ND Jackson is the first book in the A Green St. Girls Romance. This first book follows Athena who has been on her own since she was a teenage girl and is now a millionaire. She meets Tru and their romance takes off. This is a nice contemporary romance. The author does a very good job of pulling you in and making you feel for these characters. I love the closeness of the Green St. Girls and their found family relationship. The romance and chemistry between Athena and Tru are nice also.

Such a great introduction to a new series! I can’t wait to read the next book asap! She really hit the nail on the head with the life of a server in a restaurant, every customer and manager felt like someone I had at one time or another. I really enjoyed how Julia was training to be a crime scene cleaner because I also studied to be in forensics. It almost felt like Ms. Oliver knew me, this book was just so relatable! I also loved that she called Julia’s talent her “spidey sense”! This book felt so personal to me I am looking forward to the rest of this series! The Secret Humankind also has such jaw dropping moments that leave you stunned! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, action, adventure, and the paranormal! You will be in for a treat!

This book is a part of the Darkness & Light Duology, but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone book. The characters are very well defined and the author makes sure to include information for the readers to assure they can follow along with the story without having read other books. She isn’t limited in her use of “cuss words” which, lets face it, sometimes just make the story that much more relatable. Her world building is out of this world. I want to get lost here and become one with the story. I highly recommend this story.

Claire is trying to finish high school, but raising a baby was not part of the plan. Babies are hard for anyone, but especially a teenager in school and it isn’t even her baby. It is her baby brother, but her mother is no help, so his care is left to Claire. In fact, her mother spent her college fund on the baby and all she can do is sit back and watch her future get ripped away from her. But then she is offered an escape. A way to recoup her losses and get her future back. All it will cost her is her brother. What should she do, raise her brother at the expense of her future? This isn’t her mistake after all, so why should she have to deal with the consequences? But could she really give him up? This is such a great story. It is packed with hard decisions and a full range of emotions. It is well written so that you feel like it is really happening, and your heart breaks for Claire and the loss of her youth as she has to make some major adult decisions. I will be reading more from this author and I recommend that you do too.
This is the fourth in the Gods’ Scion series and I highly recommend reading the previous books before reading this one. By doing so, you’ll have a clearer picture on what had happened previously, the current struggle faced, and the characters involved.
Once again, I applaud the author’s world building and ability to paint a vivid picture of the scenery with words. The characters are well-constructed and have you rooting for them beginning to end and feeling their emotions alongside them.
There are more secrets and lies to be uncovered in this book and the twists leave you unsettled and asking who can be trusted.
I enjoy this series and how there are unique aspects to each, you just can’t get bored reading these books.

What a roller coaster of emotions. I was all of the place while reading, but still couldn’t put it down even with the tears running down my face.
Logan and Victoria meet as very young children. Logan was her protector from day one and every day after until she vanished.
The emotions and stress take place over a twelve year period and Logan didn’t give up the hope that he would one day be reunited with his little squirrel.
This is one heck of a debut novel by A.M. Porto and look forward to following her progression as an author.

This is the second book in the Gods’ Scion series. I haven’t read the first and would recommend that anyone looking at reading this one, go back to read the first book beforehand. However, I was still able to follow along and gain a base knowledge of previous events.
The author created a beautiful magical world and was able to paint vivid pictures for readers to enjoy. The writing was easy to follow and characters well-constructed. I enjoyed the brothers and experiencing their relationship under the strain of their task. It was believable and added to the danger of their experiences.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable read and I was excited to move onto the next book in the series. I will be going back to read the first too.

This is the third book in the Gods’ Scion series. I would highly recommend reading the first two books before this one for a better understanding of events, the world and characters.
Once again, the world building in this series grabs my attention almost immediately. It’s strong and links together between the books beautifully. The author also does a great job in painting vivid imagery to bring it to life for the readers.
The plot is gripping, and I was intrigued. It’s unique and enjoyable full of lies and adventure for the characters to discover as the story unfolds. Another aspect which stood out to me is the emotion that the author includes. Not only is it clear what the characters are feeling, but the emotion leaks out through the pages, and you almost feel them as your own.
I have been enjoying this series and look forward to more.

Marked Wolf is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series and takes up where the first book Shadow Wolf finished. It is a paranormal romance story where the journey continues for Tamaska and Kodiak. This fast-paced intriguing forbidden love story is as intense as it is mysterious as it is suspenseful and is action packed and full of drama, danger, tension, and romance. At times is has you on the edge of your seat and gets your heart going. Tamaska is new to the darkness in the world, but she will not let that darkness win. She is on the hunt to take the blood opal back from the vampires. Kodiak is a wolf shifter and. With his protective instincts on high and his heart falling hard he knows his kind does not take kindly to humans. In fact, a relationship between the two is forbidden. I came away with a few unanswered questions from the first book and they have mostly been answered but now I have more hopefully the next book will explain. Set in an urban fantasy world of vampires and shifters what more do you need.

This is book 3 in The Shadow Chronicles, and so far, my favorite. It is still following the story of Levi and Tasha, as well as the war with the hellspawns.
Finally, Lycans and Vampires are now allying instead of enemies and have created a new army in order to fight the hellspawns that have emerged from nowhere. Secrets are flying every which way and the truth will be revealed.
The story of Tasha and Levi is coming to an end, and it is bittersweet. They have taken us on a wild ride throughout these 3 books and I loved every second of it. I highly recommend that you read both of the previous books before reading this one. We are also introduced to a few new characters in this book, and I cannot wait for book 4 for the spin off involving Tasha’s younger sister!
While there is a war going on with the hellspawns, there is also evil that is threatening to tear Tasha and Levi apart. They have been through so much as a couple and their love prevails through everything thrown at them.
I 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves action, suspense, and paranormal romance!

This is book 2 in The Shadow Chronicles and is a continuation of Tasha and Levi’s forbidden love story. Tasha is a unique Vampire and Levi is a Lycan. This book is full of action and more secrets are unveiled. There were a lot of twists and turns. It took me a little longer to read this second book than the first, but it is still an absolutely wonderful book. My biggest issue with this book is how much Tasha starts to lean on Levi, when she knows she is strong and perfectly capable. It makes her seem a good bit weaker throughout the book.
Tasha begins to learn how much of her life was based on lies. How far will Castus go to claim something that was never his in the beginning? Will the Vampires and Lycans be able to work together and defeat the hellspawns?
The book focuses on two things, the war and the love between Tasha and Levi. While the war is full of action and violence, their love is sweet and steamy!
Cannot wait to read book 3. Definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves a good paranormal romance!
