This book is definitely different from the other MC books I have read. I like how the author offers the male perspective of his life and how he feels about everything. It’s very easy to read and I love how the author provides a backstory on the main character which makes it easier for the reader to show empathy towards the characters in the story.

Loved the seventh book in the Notebook Mysteries series!! The book was fast paced and a page turner. Peggy’s brother is thrown from a train and dies. Emma and Jeremy are determined to find out who did it and to bring them to justice. This is a great historical fiction. Looking forward to more of this series.

An Ember of Hope delves into the backstory of Matthew De La Roche, and is part of the War of Destiny series. You *can* read it as a standalone, but makes much more sense to read them in order. This time around, Matthew has left the powerful family of vampires he was surrounded with previously, lost his soulmate, and began working with the mortals. As things start to feel almost normal, and he blends in with the mortals, soldiers began to come up missing. It wouldn’t be Matthew if he wasnt drawn to the conflict and the need to help. I like that this book gives some more depth to Matthew but it feels unnatural that he would throw himself into the human world so easily. I did like that the author incorporated emotions of mourning and loss, as well as confusion and powerlessness into all of it, and gave him those human emotions to draw you in further, and make him more likeable and relateable. Overall, I liked this one more than I thought that I would, and enjoyed the story as it progressed. Definitely read the others that go with the series as well.

This book is made up of are 13 novellas. These are fun Rom Com stories. Even though they aren’t very long they are enjoyable. I do recommend reading these books in order as it follows the main character Bella as she navagates her way through her romantic life. From the end of her marriage in the first story, through several steamy encounters with different men to maybe finally finding the one. With so many unique men and experiences it was hard to tell who she would end up with and as she fumbles her way through the dating game she realises just how much of a desirable woman she is and what happens when the men she chooses fall for her.
As I say this is broken down into 13 novellas and the main part of each focuses around a different guy. However they do follow and and the characters do intermingle so it is worth reading the books in order. The Novellas are listed below
I enjoyed everyone of these stories and I enjoyed following Bella’s journey of rediscovering herself and learning just what she needs from her romantic partners.

This is an epic YA fantasy that hooks you from the first page. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I cannot wait for the next in the series to come out! I loved the way Ward developed her characters and drove her plot lines. Gillian’s feistiness and bravery is unmatched and I loved the tension between her and the Great Dragon and the Dragonborns. Ward has woven together a world of magic, fantasy, legends, lore, tragedy, hope, and so much more. This is truly an epic tale and I can’t wait to see it continue on. I couldn’t put this book down and was reading well into the night. If you are looking for a story to get lost in, then pick this one up!

I really ended up liking this book. Claire is the main character and she is headed home to Pismo Beach after her mom dies. She has a teenage sister who she is now in charge of and has to figure out life. Her life is in LA and she has to sell her childhood home in order to afford taking care of Alexis, her little sister. There is a lot of emotion and grief they have to work through which I connected to personally. Claire meets David, Alexis’s orthodontist, and she is swooning. They both try to deny feelings because she is moving, but it makes them miserable. They need to try and figure out if they can make it work. I loved hearing about the beach town and loved their slow romance. I didn’t realize this book would have so many religious comments, but it wasn’t overly religious. I would read more from this author!

This is the fifth and final installment to this series. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to see where the characters have been and to enhance your enjoyment of this author. This is a collection of short stories that will tell you how the characters end their journeys. It is a great final installment and I for one am sad to see this series end. I enjoy the characters and what they bring to the story. They are connectable and relatable. I had no problems picturing myself with these characters. I enjoyed watching their growth and attraction which made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story and one you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed this series and this book. I highly recommend this book. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author.
This is the seventh book in this series which can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help with your enhancement of this author’s writing style. I enjoy this author’s creative writing that makes her characters pop and are full of heart and soul. This is my favorite of this series and one that you don’t want to miss. This is a story about second chances and finding what seems to be missing. I enjoyed Trinity and Shooter’s characters. They have great growth and their chemistry adds to the entertainment value of the story. I enjoyed how they brought their journey to life on every page. Their story is fast paced and hard to put down. This is an engaging story and one that I couldn’t help wanting to know what would happen with them. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This book is the second book in the series and is just as good as the first book. For me, Fiend was such a raw character to read about. His story was intense and emotional. He has gone through so much you can’t help but yearn for him to get happy ending. The story is so well written. It pulls you in with ease and matches the characters perfectly. I would definitely recommend reading the first book before this one, to really get the full and exciting experience. This is a great story and is shaping up to be a brilliant series.

This book is an overall fantastic addition to the series and I think has to be my favourite one so far. I loved the connection between Finn and Chess. It was evident right from the start but the author knew how to develop it slowly throughout the book so you were entirely hooked. I was completely taken with their story and wanted them to find their HEA. The book is just as well written as the others. I find these books so easy to read because they just pull me in right from the start. The author has such an enjoyable writing style. This book was amazing right from page one and I am looking forward to whatever will come next in the series.

I actually enjoyed Trinity and Shooter’s story. These two had some history. Watching them try to fix it was painful at times but as you went along it got a bit better. I enjoy this author’s story because they leave you feeling like you’ve read a real romance. She makes her stories feel like you are there in them. The characters feel so real. As Trinity is sneaking up the stairs after mudding, you can almost feel it. It’s a really good romance that I’d recommend.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Each book follows a different character, so you might see names that you recognize throughout the series in each one. This book is extremely well written. It captures your attention right off the bat and continues to entertain you throughout the book. There is the broken leading male that feels he is undeserving of things in his life. The love of a good woman and his biker friends might be enough to pull him out of the self imposed exile that he has been in. This book has everything y0u would expect from a motorcycle club romance book. There is the danger, drama, steam, love, friendship, violence, and redemption. Giving all the things in the book, you will be on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, cried, got angry, screamed, and swooned while reading this book. The emotions that it was able to pull out me has made me want to read everything this author has published because this book was just that good. I just can’t wait for the next read. Wow… Just wow. I love a good fantasy and this hit the spot.
Gillian- a poor 18-year-old girl who took a medallion from her mom (that was supposed to be for her) and ran off to the forbidden forest to try and find someone to save her brother. She was caught and brought to the dragon king where she was to be his mate and have his babies.
It is a great story with action and cute little moments while Gillian learns about herself and tries to find a way to save her younger brother. There are witches, dragons, dragonborn, and creatures I don’t even know how to categorize. This story is very thrilling and will keep you up all night wanting to read what is next.

Bijou’s backstory made my heart hurt for her. It’s hard to keep living when the one you love passes away. Even though it was 8 years ago grief has a funny way of showing up. Especially while trying to keep a youth center running and raising a 12 year old on top of everything. Noah also has lost a loved one and raising his two year old son. Both trying to find their way back to normal. As Bijou struggles to keep the place running one phone call she makes changes her life. Noah comes into the picture to lend a helping hand. This gruff man is pretty amazing but guarded. The kids definitely were great supporting characters, they made me giggle when all I wanted to do was cry. Although, secrets never stay secret for long. Will Noah’s blow up in his face????

Forbiddenly Yours is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series by Anise Storm. As mentioned in my review for the previous book, this series is a (new) spin-off from Titans of Manhattan books, this time set in Chicago. Forbiddenly Yours is a romantic suspense with a forbidden/secret relationship element, plenty of drama, miscommunication angst, emotion, tension, chemistry, sparks, intrigue, and is told from a dual POV. This starts with a Costa Rican holiday fling- that turns somewhat awkward when they come face to face again- as teacher and student. Can they keep things professional and keep their chemistry from boiling over? What happens when secrets are revealed. Well, there will be no spoilers from me, so you will need to read all the dramatic developments for yourself. The story comes with trigger warnings – so if you have any issues, you might want to check them out before diving in. I hate to say it, but this is not my favourite of Ms. Storms books, I just wasn’t ‘feeling it’ this time around….. Let’s see what Book #3 holds. Happy reading!

This is a new-to-me author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked it up. The cover was cute, and the synopsis sounded quite interesting. I dove in as soon as I got home and found myself finishing the book in the same day! This was an emotional rollercoaster which may have led me to shed some tears here and there. The author knows exactly how to pull on your heartstrings as they touch on grief and trying to be vulnerable after heartache. It is incredibly refreshing to come across a well-written clean romance as it seems quite rare. The characters are lovable, relatable, and will have you rooting for them until the very last page. If you’re in the mood for a beautiful yet emotional clean romance, please pick this up! I can’t wait to pick up more by this author.

This was a great 5 star read. This series continues to pull me in with each Titans story. This is Nicole and Callum’s story and it was great. The chemistry between them came off the pages. What was thought to have been a fling on vacation quickly turns into more when Nicole moves to Chicago. She is shocked to see who her professor is but they both quickly realize they can’t resist each other. There are several twists that added great elements to the story. All of the characters were great. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more from this series. I suggest reading from the beginning of the series so that you can get to know all of the Titans. I have read several books by this author and for good reason! They have a way of creating a world you can get lost in quickly, and this one is no different. We start off getting to know Chessly and Finn, and you can feel their slow burn chemistry even in the first chapter. I was immediately invested in the characters and love almost all of them. Tory makes me want to yell at the top of my lungs sometimes. Chessly is my favorite as she is independent and determined! I always love it when books are told in dual points of view as it helps me get into their minds a little bit easier. Jump in for a bit of steam, some romance, and drama to create a magnificent read for your day!

I really like this story. I love how Grandma took such good care of that kitties while the kids were out of town. I really like how this author made everyone so caring and empathetic. I really love stories like this of families coming together to help each other out. I definitely recommend!

Lately I have been reading some really good mystery books and this is one of them. Once I started reading I just could not put it down.
Bob and Eve were really good friends and they went to College together. Bob went back home to visit his Uncle Will and noticed that he was not feeling well. He refused to go to the Dr. Not too long after he went home for the visit he finds out that his Uncle Will has passed away. Torn with grief, he decides to ask Eve to go to Prospect with him. He thinks something feels off about his Uncle’s death and wants her along to help him check it out.
Since they are best friends she decides she will do what she can to help him figure out what happened. I think you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

I did enjoy this book. It was a little bit different story about vampires and I like reading different takes on vampires. The author created a very vibrant world and I enjoyed reading about Matthew’s journey as he looked for answers in his life. The story had a few surprises and I enjoyed the ending. What is meant to be will be. I love these books that make me swoon. I’m a total romantic at heart. Fake wedding years ago. Now reunited and sparks are flying. Highly recommend reading this book. You will not be disappointed.

G is for Gossamer: A Children’s SMART & SOPHISTICATED ABC’s Book by Miss Whitaker. First of all this is a beautiful book and its not just another ABC book. Its beautifully written and the illustrations are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. Its such a wonderful book for young children to learn their letters and words. It even has a glossary in the back for the words you don’t know. My 6 year old nephew really enjoyed this book! It would make a wonderful book for a baby shower, a birthday gift or for any child in your life. When your child can actually use a new word they learned from this book it all makes perfect sense! Such a great new take on your ABC’s. Pick this up for all the kids in your life and even the teachers as it would be perfect for classrooms!

An enjoyable, engaging and emotional romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Following the death of her mother Claire returns to her hometown of Pismo Beach, to look after Alexis, her fourteen year old sister. Her plan is to pack up and sell her mother’s house and return to Los Angeles, taking Alexis with her. Claire was definitely not planning on having a relationship or falling in love, but then she meets orthodontist and divorcee Dr. David Clark. David is not going to give love a second chance, but then he meets Claire. Although Claire is leaving in three months her and David decide to date. Just as their relationship is developing David’s past threatens everything. Claire is also struggling with her grief and they both need to overcome past mistakes. Even if they do find love with one another, Claire can’t stay in Pismo Beach as her life is in Los Angeles. This is a heartwarming romance between two very likeable and relatable main characters. Their connection came across in the narrative and the storyline took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it.

I’m going to get the bad out of the way right away because I’m still a little upset about it, I was rooting for Paige and Viktor the entire book but when she started this whole love triangle thing and was saying “I love you” to both boys I was mad. It was messy and I was honestly thinking maybe she needs to be single and find herself because this wasn’t the drama I was looking for. Other than that I loved the book, it’s great slow burn YA read. Paige’s life feels out of control since the death of one of her friends and I hope this book shows young readers that grief is different for everyone and it’s okay to go get help to work out how your feeling. I really liked Paige’s friends, they felt like a realistic friend group to me. I was team Viktor the whole way, I fell for him instantly and I love that he’s not a cocky “I’m the best” hockey player. Honestly I could keep reading about the two of them. I recommend if you enjoy clean, YA romances. This book can also be read as a standalone.
