Hooked: The Merciless Few is the second book in The Merciless Few Series and is a MC Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I highly recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already as it gives you a better understanding of what has been going on and meet characters which overlap to the next story. This is a fairly new author to me but I like where this series is going so far My emotions were all over the place with this story and at one point I had tears running down my face. My heart broke for Fiend aka Jett. This is Jett and Poppy’s story. Fiend holds many secrets and has many struggles which started at a young age. One day you mean everything to your family and then a total disappointment. Fiend leaves his family behind to start a new life with his MC family. He now is in a downward spiral can she help save him before it’s to late? Poppy wants to be his everything but can she get him to see that? I don’t want to give to much away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author and this series.

The Crown of Stones is the first series I have read from C.L.Schneider and was an amazing intro into this author. The trilogy is composed of Magic Price, Magic Scars, and Magic Borne. In book one (Magic Price) we meet Ian Troy: Bounty Hunter. Ian lives in exile and has a rough and rugged past. When the past comes back to haunt him, he must once again take up magic to abolish the threats. Book two (Magic Scars) follows book one, and Ian Troy is in trouble. To suppress his magic, Ian has been tortured and drugged into submission. Ofcourse, our hero isn’t going to sit back while the world around him, and within him, crumbles. In an attempt to answer the questions in his head, and facing his past over again, Ian uncovers secrets that were perhaps better left unfound. Book three (Magic Borne) brings us to the end of Ian’s story and The Crown of Stones in order to free himself, and his people, from the torment and suffering they have endured. The Crown of Stones Trilogy is a dark fantasy full of adventure, twists, and hard decisions. The characters are believable with their trauma and back story trickling in, and their reactions to events as they happen. Readers should be advised that some parts do get quite heavy as our hero traverses not only the trauma around him, but also within himself. This was a fantastical series and I will be looking into more works from C.L.Schneider!

I have really enjoyed reading the Notebook Mysteries series. Kimberly Mullins is an amazing author who pays special attention to details while writing her mystery books. This allows the reader to delve into the process of trying to solve the mystery right along with our main characters. I love that each story in this series continues to build upon the characters’ backstories, making them more and more dynamic as we delve deeper into their pasts and examine their current relationships with one another. It is also amazing that any one of the books in this series can be read as a stand-alone, although I recommend you read all of the series from the beginning, which is something I am going to go back and do since I jumped into reading the middle of this series. The characters are so relatable, the settings are realistic, and the events that happen are believable, which is so important to a good mystery book. Some parts progressed a little slower at times, but it makes it worth the reader’s time to stick with it because details in a mystery read are so imperative to not miss. This is a great series to read if you love a good mystery that has you guessing throughout the book and then continues to be filled with unexpected twists and turns right to the very end. Forever to Fall is the fifth instalment of Libby Kay’s Buckeye Falls series, and it follows childhood friends Beckett and Mallory, who reunite after the tragic loss of Beckett’s grandfather. I loved the previous book so I was really excited to read this one. The prologue was adorable, so well written and gripping. Beckett and Mallory are clearly soulmates, as are Beckett’s grandparents whose love story was beautiful. I loved seeing Alice and James again, and how the childhood best friends to lovers/will they won’t they was executed. It was hard to read the part where Beckett goes out with Cece’s friend, despite understanding why he wanted to keep his feelings from Evan. I also think it would’ve hit harder if Cece’s friend was a pleasure to be around and we could see how he still preferred to be with Mallory. But either way, it’s clear they are the only person for each other. My favourite character was Mallory. I recommend this book because it is a beautiful friends to lovers story. ‘Trying—six little letters strung together for maximum impact.’

Anise Storm does it again! I love this series and cannot wait to finish the rest. This one has a professor/student relationship trope and is very steamy. After having a one-night stand while on vacation, Nicole’s whole world is turned on its axis after realizing that this man is her new English professor. We witness many ups and downs between them and a mind blowing plot twist that will shake you to your core. My only reason for not giving this story five stars is the lack of character development. I could not completely connect to them, their situation, and the storyline in this regard, and their conversations just do not seem realistic.

This is such a fun series to read and you just never know where Eve is going to end up next. She’s in a mining town in Colorado when she begins to have suspicions about the recent death of a friend’s uncle. Then, as what usually happens when Eve is around, another death occurs and Eve finds herself having to solve another mysterious murder.
A great book that will keep you entertained for a few hours!

The illustrations in this book for each letter are great. My 9 yr old loved it. The words that they use raise the rigor for the kids but also has the definition for the words at the end. That was really awesome. This is definitely a great book for older kids and younger kids alike.

This book was fun young adult fantasy. I always tend to lean towards YA fantasy when I am feeling down in life and this hit the spot for that. We start the journey as Gilligan goes to try and find a way to remedy her brother. A true enemy to lovers. Also a true YA not like some where it leans more heavily on the adult part.

Where does one start with this series? It was funny. It was maddening. It was heartbreaking. It was warm and wonderful. It was steamy and spicy!!
Let’s set the scene. Bella found out that her husband is cheating on her with someone that looks extremely similar to her but has more money. So, Bella dumps him, divorces him, and is determined to get back all the confidence that the cheater stripped from her over the years they were together. Some of Bella’s confidence is earned back by dressing how she likes, exercising the way she wants and remembering who she was. Bella struggles with her bedroom confidence. She doesn’t know how she will get this one back.
A local barkeep and player takes a shine to Bella. He convinces her to let him “coach her” through a few dates and possibly more. Bella has also signed up for a dating site. As Bella dates different men, she gains her confidence back and even has a few new experiences along the way. When Bella meets the guy she can’t get out of her head, she discovers that he is already in a relationship. As Bella continues her self-discovery journey, she and Mr. Almost Perfect manage to orbit in each other’s circles and lives. Each feeling a growing connection but since he is in a relationship, Bella won’t be the one to interfere with it.
Mr. Smooth helps Bella learn to enjoy smeggytimes again. Mr. Kinky shows Bella that she can experience new things and like them. Mr. Heartless plays on all Bella’s insecurities and does horrible things. Mr. Rockstar is a brief interlude of fun. And, we can’t forget, Mr. Almost Perfect that maybe turns out to be exactly what Bella has needed. There are several more men that play a role in Bella’s journey but to find out about them you will have to read the series.
Each different story is short and fun (well, mostly fun). Bella and her female friends are a riot! This series is worth every minute you spend reading it. Jump in and enjoy!

I have enjoyed several books by this author, so I picked this one up without a second thought. I probably should have paid a bit more attention to the fact that it’s the seventh book in the My Cowboy series, but I believe it did pretty great as a standalone. That being said, I will absolutely be going to the beginning of the series to start from the beginning because I definitely need more of this world! The characters are well-developed and instantly relatable. I love both Trinity and Shooter, and their chemistry is remarkable. When you have to choose between a dream career and a dream love, how do you make the right choice? I finished this book the day I started it because I couldn’t put it down. If you are a sucker for a fantastic second-chance romance with that country feel, this is the perfect book for you, without a doubt. I can’t wait to circle back and read the rest of the series!

I loved this series. If I could give it more than five stars I would. I loved the characters, especially the main character Troy, the story lines and the fictional world of Mirra’kelan that C.L Schneider created.
Ian troy is Shinree, a race of magic users, who is addicted to using magic. A decade after the war in which he killed everyone on both sides using magic from the crown of stones he has vowed to never use magic again. But when a new enemy teams up with an old enemy he must decide if it’s worth using magic to defeat them to save his people and the land.
All three books are action packed and has excellent characters development. Within the story we learn of the characters history and the history of the land and magic of the Shinree. It a lot of information but it’s easy to follow and keeps it interesting. It has magic, drama, adventure, suspense, love and a lot of fighting. I couldn’t put it down and it kept me wanting more. I only wish there were more books in the series. If you like dark fantasy, you’ll love this series.

The Human Mating Site, Complete Series : A Steamy, Dating Humour Romance
I really enjoyed going on this journey with Bella. From the moments after she and her husband split and her world is flipped to finding her true happiness there was so many funny and hot moments. And I fell in love with her cat Daisy, am a bit partial to that name since that is my dog’s name.
I couldn’t even imagine having to learn how to navigate the dating world after being out so long, but Bella finds a way to make it work, well some of the time.
She found some gems but also some really big duds. I think Jenson and David were my favorites, and there are two I really didn’t like, one was immediate and the other one did the unforgivable. The important thing is that her friends were there to support her the entire time. Like most women her friends are her tribe and they support her no matter what, even if they don’t agree with.
I was excited to see one of the guys will be telling his story soon. Really looking forward to that.

This was such a cute book that would be great for a quick story-time! The book was fun and simple to understand with clear illustrations that follow the storyline. There is a rhyming scheme that is sure to captivate children and allow parents and/or guardians the opportunity to further educate along the way. In general, the story itself is sure to capture the imagination of children. I would recommend getting the physical copy of the book because the illustrations are large and would be captivating in print.
This being the fifth book in this series did not matter. I will be starting from book 1 next but, I didn’t feel like I missed something by starting with book 5. Characters were enjoyable to get to know and the plot of the story was well thought out I feel. The author really took her time developing her characters and the storyline. I will for sure be recommending both this series and this author as it was a delight to read her work.

What I really engaging story for children with different words. I was I little spectacle about this book at first because I was thinking that I didn’t even know these words myself, so having this as a children’s book throw me off. But my kids found it very enjoyable and the illustrations to this book were amazing and so wonderful to look at, that they went well with the words. this was a real engaging and delightful read with different words.

This book is the fifth, and final, in the “Buckeye Falls” series. Earlier in the series we were introduced to Mallory, sister to Evan, who works for Max in the town diner. This book tells Mallory’s story. Mallory and Beckett were childhood sweethearts who reconnect in adulthood. They struggle to find a way to be together as adults and often wonder if their relationship is even possible. I read the previous four books in this series. I think readers could enjoy this book without reading the rest of the series, but I found it more enjoyable and easier to follow the characters’ story lines since I read the previous books. I absolutely love this series! I am so happy we have a story for Mallory now. The characters of Buckeye Falls (a fictional Ohio town), are absolutely endearing. The families are warm and loving, though they also sometimes pick on one another. The friendships are heartfelt and genuine. Mallory is such a sweetheart, and often indecisive. It seems like her to be unsure of how to proceed with Beckett. I found the ups and downs of their relationship sometimes frustrating. I couldn’t put this book down, though. I couldn’t wait to find out if they made it work. I love the romantic gestures between the characters. This book focuses more on the relationship building than sex scenes, and I appreciate that. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet romantic tale, especially one with twists and turns.

Offsides (Game Time Series) by Tam DeRudder Jackson. I’m really enjoying this Game Time Series and I was so excited that Chessly and Finn are getting a chance to tell their story. Chessly only wants to work with athletes not date them so when she sees all these jersey girls chasing all these players she is not into it at all. That is until she meets Finn the defensive lineman, he’s handsome, funny and just seems like a all around good guy. The only thing she dislikes about him are all the Jersey chasers surrounding him constantly. He’s determined to make Chessly his but she’s a independent, hard headed, strong willed woman. When it seems Finn has really screwed up she is done and by done I mean 100% done. Finn is going to do whatever it takes to make her realize she’s the only girl for him. This can be read as a standalone but I always enjoy series better when they are read in order to better understand the story and characters!

This was a fun dual point of view sports romance book. Chessly is a science nerd and RA at her college. Finn is one of the starting football players for the college. They hit it off from the start but then he acknowledges the wrong girl. A girl that Chessly doesn’t like and has had issues with before. They are both super smart science nerds. Chessly finds him really hot but isn’t sure she wants to get involved because of the company that he keeps. Finn tries to win her over but is awkward and makes all sorts of rookie mistakes. She tries to deny feelings as he keeps trying to win her over, you are hoping they work it out. Many of the football players live together and they seem to be all hooking up with a friend group. Seems perfect! This was a fun page turner that had a story that flowed well. The characters were very relatable and I can imagine all that is happening. I missed the first book in the series (I didn’t realize it) but really liked the second and third books and will have to go back and read it.

Her Sapphire Blade (Guardians of Camelot Series) by Sarah Biglow. This is a great start to the Guardians of Camelot Series that is built around Morgan who is being raised by her Aunt that lives in modern time London. She has been brought up being told stories of her connection to Camelot but she just thinks they are fairy tales. On the day before her 30th birthday her Aunt is attacked and she and her friend are threatened. In the process someone invites her to enter another portal called Camelot and she does. When she does she realizes this is where her powers come to life. When she enters this society and even participates in it and she even has power here. There is magic, witches, urban fantasy, murder and mystery in this fast paced book. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

I truly love this series and this latest addition to the series did not disappoint in any way at all! This super talented author always writes so vividly that you can truly see all the characters and events that are happening as if you were really there! The way she weaves her storylines and historical aspects is incredible. This can be read as a stand alone, as all the books in the series can be BUT I say go read them all! You will love them and want to know everything I promise you!

What she doesn’t expect to find is Shooter, after chasing dreams of his own, to be the Sheriff back home. Being i in the same town, these two find themselves near each other time and time again…and the spark they once had is still there. With some self-doubt, and grudges held by family members, these two have their work cut out for them if they ever plan on seeing if they can the bring that spark to life.
This is a quick read that I devoured in one sitting. It’s a story of sacrifice and chasing dream…as well as growing up and the journey of life. I enjoyed watching these two grow and mature…and find where, and if, they fit into each other’s lives now. While I have read previous books in the series, it is not a necessity to follow the flow of the story.

This book is a collection of short stories that conclude things for all the characters from the previous books in this series. For me having not read the previous books it gave me a taste of the characters and the writers style etc BUT I highly recommend doing it the right way and start from the beginning people! Don’t be an idiot like me LOL You are going to love the characters and storylines so much you will want to know it all so just start from the very start!! I definitely am off to read them all!

A relationship is the last thing on her mind…until she meets Alexis’ orthodontist, David. David has been divorced for a handful of years and is not in the market to open his heart up. However, there is something about Claire that brings to life something that has been dormant for years. Even knowing that Claire will be returning to LA in a matter of months, to two set out to date and see what happens. But, as life is, things are not going smoothly. Alexis and Claire do not really have a relationship since Alexis lived in Los Angeles…so there are the ups and downs that come with forging a relationship with a teen sibling. Both Alexis and Claire just lost a parent, so there is a journey of grief and healing that must be taken. David has doubts and low confidence when it comes to relationships because of what happened with his ex-wife. With a time clock looming over their heads, and David’s past presenting challenges, can these two make a go at a real relationship?!? This book was filled with so many emotions that the reader will feel right along with the characters. Grief and overcoming the mistakes of past relationships are aspects of life that many relationships must go through. I enjoyed the watching the relationships grow in this book – Alexis and Claire, Claire and David, and even David and Alexis. I was rooting for this couple to find a way to make it work despite the things that seem to be stacked against them. A good book from a new-to-me author!

In this Porter and Midge installment, we learn about healthy snacks with CJ and Lorna. This book does a great job of teaching what foods are healthy for dogs while making it fun. The rhythm of the words is interesting and grabs children’s interest. The illustrations are colorful and cute. The authors also included plenty of snack recipes that young cooks can make for their pets. This book is a great resource for pet owners.
