Dr Frank was the best in his field of plastic surgery. With his past in mind, he takes on a challenge of running the burn trauma unit in a hospital he takes it on. He meets Barbara after a night out with colleagues and is taken with her. Barbara is looking to have a normal and pain free life. She asks Dr Frank for help and he brushes her immediately off. He regrets his course behavior and sets out to make it up to her.

I absolutely love romantic comedies and this one is no different. An enemies-to-lovers romance full of funny pranks and hot steamy make out sessions. Cash and Hollis will entertain you from cover to cover. The way their “relationship” begins and progresses is so fun to watch and discover. I hope you pick this up. It is absolutely awesome and you will not be sorry.

I really enjoyed Chicken Little Investigates by Lois Wickstrom. Chicken was one of my favorite books as a child and it was such fun sharing this retelling with my children. When Chicken Little gets hit on the head with an acorn she thinks the sky is falling until she and her friends investigate. I really enjoy how this story encourages young readers to investigate and do experiments to figure things out. Once again the writing is witty and cute. The illustrations are fabulous as always. My boys gave this one 5 stars and I fully agree!

Emma is at it again but this time it is to save the children that have been kidnapped! With the constant support and help of her family and her boyfriend Jeremy, Emma and the Pinkerton’s are able to locate and rescue the children including the niece of a local law enforcement officer. The mystery and intrigue do not stop there by any means! Emma and Jeremy are given a vacation by an unknown source for a week at a beach house and they are very excited and enjoyed the time away from such a terrible case involving the children. Who would send them on such a lovely vacation for free and anonymously? That I will not reveal! After vacation, Jeremy continues to wrap up the work on the kidnapped children, identifying them, and getting them home to her parents and Emma is summoned by a past acquaintance to come visit as she needs the help. Emma goes to her and helps her out along with two other women and their daughters. In the end, a debt was paid off from an unlikely source, a man was put behind bars, and Emma was successful at helping the women escape their marriages and difficult lives. One of my favorite book characters is Emma. She is an extremely wise and insightful character and a total bada$$!! I love how the books by Mullins has strong female leads and a bit of history weaved in for a great read full of adventure, mystery, and a dash of romance. The setting in historical Chicago is wonderful as the scenes of traveling always take me away as I ride along whether by train, horse and buggy, or just riding a bike. I cannot recommend this book more highly. In fact, read the entire line of books by Mullins that have Emma as the heroine! You will not be disappointed!
Cash runs a bar and brewery, tries to keep his siblings in line and looks after his mom. For the most part, things are going well – until Hollis moves in with her grooming business next door. These neighbors and business owners love to hate one another – and the pranks are enough to drive each other insane, if their hot chemistry doesn’t first!
I love a good, fun, enemies to lovers story. These two drive each other wild in all sorts of ways. There are fun levels of snark, insane levels of chemistry and a fun, what could be considered realistic storyline. When things end up going too far and Cash is in a bind, Hollis feels obligated to help him since she had a hand in it. The more they spend time together and actually SEE eachother, things progress. Very lovable and interesting characters, more than enough fun and lust to keep you invested and better yet, a series to enjoy! Quick, fun read. Highly recommend.

Falling For You is the second novel in the Buckeye Falls series. This sweet, small town romance takes place in Buckeye Falls, Ohio. Pastry chef, CeCe LaRue and Evan Lawson work side by side at Max’s Diner. The two of them share a crush that neither wants to admit to the other. When Eric, a celebrity chef, hosts a food competition in town the people are ecstatic. Evan thinks this could be his perfect chance to get closer to CeCe. CeCe worries that this will stir up the past and destroy any chance she has with Evan. Will everyone be able to turn down the heat in the kitchen to overcome the obstacles?
Although Falling For You is part of a series it can be read as a standalone with minimal reference to the characters/plot of the first novel. However, I do HIGHLY recommend reading the first novel, you won’t regret it! I loved the sweet banter between all of the characters. Each one of them stood beside one another during the hardest of times, especially CeCe when meeting Evan’s family. His father was the most awful type of man! For a while I found myself mad at CeCe for not being honest with Evan, but let’s be honest we wouldn’t have the perfect story if she was honest right off the bat. The setting of the diner, the line of work, and food competition was perfect, believable and relatable. All around, I absolutely loved Falling For You. Libby Kay stole my heart once again. I can’t wait to see what Buckeye Falls has in store for us next.

Elinor is back again, still with Tristan’s help and now with an assistant who has a lot to learn – and the excitement just keeps ramping up. When the daughter of a nobleman goes missing, Elinor is hired for the case to find who kidnapped her. As usual, Tristan goes along. As their relationship continues to develop, Tristan is acting a bit strange and giving commands to Elinor. When she gets a clue about her father, she takes off to figure it out – will she stay safe? Will Tristan forgive her for going against his wishes and not protecting her safety?
There are so many gorgeous visual descriptions you feel like you’re right there, and Elinor’s witty banter, strength and capabilities make her one of my favorite female protagonists I’ve read about. Add some paranormal, the Morpheus Society and mediumistic abilities and it all blends into an excellent series.
I enjoyed reading this friends to lovers romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I found this book to be well developed where the author used details to make the story realistic. A story where it is full of not only romance but some suspense as well. Brandon and Calliope have known each other for most of their lives. He is her brother’s best friend and should be off limits. What happens when she runs into him in the middle of the desert? He is a steamy adult now but does that mean he is still hands off? You don’t want to miss what happens with these two. They have great growth and chemistry throughout. There is even a little suspense that you won’t see coming. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. It is entertaining and easy to read. An engaging story that I highly recommend.

Shadow is a total bad ass and Enforcer for the Devil’s Handmaidens MC but underneath it all there is a vulnerability mixed with true strength that Panther sees and is drawn too. Shadow doesn’t always make it easy, the demons from her past that she carries with her make that difficult but he knows what he wants and he wants her so no way is he giving up! I absolutely loved these characters and the truly creative and wonderfully written storyline created by this very talented author. I started this series on book 2 and my enjoyment was not effected in any way as it definitely can be read as a stand alone BUT I enjoyed it so much that I will be reading the first book and the rest of this amazing series as soon as I can!

Chicken Little Investigates (Science Folktales) is a cute children’s book about discovering new sounds and investigating how/ what makes a certain noise. Chicken and her friend Henny Penny are out and about one day when all of a sudden something falls and lands on chickens head causing s bump. These to go on a adventure to the palace to see the king for a name of this discovery. Along the way they meet other friends who also have things that make a certain noise. Together they continue on the palace to see the King. I read this to my five year old son and he loved it so much we read it several times. I highly recommend this book to find out what happens next especially if you have younger children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews around four to six years old or so. My son and I love this author and have read several of her books. We can’t wait to see what incredible story she brings us next.

5 Stars Notebook Mysteries ~ Suspicions (Notebook Mysteries Book 5) by Kimberly Mullins Notebook Mysteries ~Suspicions is the fifth book in the Notebook Mysteries Series. Im a huge fan of not only this author but this series. Notebook Mysteries is a Historical Mystery that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. This author has a way of grabbing you and you feel like you are part of the story. Her attention to detail makes it so easy to actually imagine what things look like. The characters are simply wonderful and relatable plus fully developed. Emma is back at it again . This time she finds herself tangled in a case that is pretty heart breaking. Emma is very courageous and finds herself helping three families . One of them they all know fairly well and seems to have something to do with Emma’s past. I don’t want to give away t much I do highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next and if you haven’t already started the others I’d recommend reading them as well. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I’ve read several books in this series and always enjoyed the historical mystery aspect of it. I love the suspense and drama of the plot, of course. It’s fast-paced and intriguing, but I also think that Emma as the main character is always dynamic and interesting. She’s a strong, independent woman, but her relationship with Jeremy seemed deeper in this book, which I appreciated. Highly recommend this whole series.
Dark and suspenseful paranormal romance Book 6 in the Masters of the Consulate had all aspects that I have come to expect and love from this series. With a sexy, alpha vampire and a strong, sassy female lead, the stage is set for another brilliant instalment to the series. With mystery, suspense, action, romance, magic, witches, vampires and wolves there’s something for everyone. It is worth reading the previous books, as there is a continuing storyline and it’s great to get the background of all the reoccurring characters, though this can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. Each book is getting better and better (still loving Embry- lol). Bring on book 7! Highly recommend.

A Dress to Remember is a different take on a fairytale. A darker take that was written beautifully. Not all fairytales are sunshine and roses, however most there’s a lesson to be learned from the story being told. When I started it I wasn’t too sure what I was reading, but it didn’t take long to follow the story the authwas trying to tell. Princess Zarina is spoiled, selfish, naive and the youngest of 13. And despite all that she’s the center of attention, even more so because her Advancement Ceremony is rapidly approaching. Ignoring the warnings of things not being safe due to the raiders, she sets out for the perfect dress. Well she gets that perfect dress and it changes her life. It starts by upending it, and the adventure she embarks on to get back to her home and family is a humbling one. She learns so much about the people she once ignored, but not without difficulty. She also has the help of “the dress.” Magic has been imbued in it to get her to where she’s meant to be in life. Does she make it back home? What happens with the raiders? If you enjoy darker fairy tales it’s something you should definitely check out! You want beautiful character growth this book gives you exactly that. You want an intriguing story, it gives you that as well! Check it out.

Almost everyone knows the story of Chicken Little in one way or another. “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!” is probably the most famous part of the story. But, what happens when Chicken Little decides to experiment with things to see if the sky is falling or if something else fell instead?
Chicken Little Investigates is a cute little twist in a classic tale. Follow Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Loosey Goosey, and Turkey Lurkey as they learn how different things fall to the ground and travel to ask the King what it’s called when something falls. Keep an eye out though, because not everyone is there to help them learn.
Thank goodness the friends are paying attention during their experiments and are able to use what they’ve learned to escape Foxy Woxy!
This is a cute, fun story with changes in font based on the sounds of words and other fun pieces of information. It’s a cute way to introduce gravity in a way that also introduces a classic story.

Falling for You is book 2 to this series, and I absolutely adored CeCe and Evan’s story at Buckeye Falls. I would recommend also reading book 1 first as characters in the book also are in this story as well and ties in so wonderfully. If you love a sweet romance, small town setting with food, friends, love and a little bit of drama, I would highly recommend this series.
CeCe is all business when it comes working at the diner, she does not have time for relationships and has a rule of no dating coworkers. Evan tries to be patient, sitting back, biding his time as he also work at the diner with CeCe, but he cannot help fall for her the more he works with her. CeCe decides to give Evan a chance, dinners, movies and easy conversation flow between them. When an opportunity comes close to Buckeye Fall for a food competition, CeCe and Evan want to enter, but CeCe is hiding a secret. Will this secret come between CeCe and Evan or will they find love while trying to navigate work, the food competition and Evan’s meddling parents.
This is such a fantastic story. I loved every page….and I was so happy to see there is a book 3 coming!!!

Ale’s Fair in Love and War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Love on Tap Book 1)
If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh and sigh then I would suggest you read this book.
Cash and Hollis start off in a hate filled but funny prank war, but things change rapidly after a misunderstanding leads to them spending time together.
The way their friendship started to bloom after they started to know one another and realize where those intense feelings were heading things got pretty hot.
There are little gems like Sausage Fest, the stuffed dog and the surprise package being delivered that made me laugh.
Cash’s brothers, sister and Mom just add that extra something for me. Ms. Stewart got the family dynamic perfect. Oh and how can I forget to mention Larry!
I look forward to keeping up with this family and see how they grow and change. My money is on Miller’s story being epic.

Notebook Mysteries: Suspicions is the fifth book in the Notebook Mysteries series. It is January 1889, and we find Emma and her team back to solving mysteries. This can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I recommend picking up the earlier books first. I enjoyed delving back into the life of Emma. This time she is busy with multiple cases going on. There is also the return of someone from her past. With everything draining Emma and Jeremy’s energy, they must battle the challenges. I enjoyed this series and enjoyed this newest addition to the series. If you enjoy mystery and historical fiction with a strong female lead, this is a great series to grab. I look forward to picking up more from this author in the near future.
Book 5 of this series was yet another impeccable piece by this talented author. If you are a fan of this series like me, you will thoroughly enjoy this addition. If you’ve never read any of these, you can easily follow along and appreciate the multiple levels of mystery and suspense.
We find Emma as strong and independent as ever at the beginning of this story. She’s ready to take action to help those who do not have a strong voice of their own, all while finding a case from her past is directly linked to the existing case.
Emma’s love, Jeremy is right by her side and raring to go to find the bad people hurting the innocent. While he’s always looking out for Emma, he is not attempting to be her knight in shining armor, as she can handle herself.
This book finds Emma facing multiple cases, heartbreaking journeys, heartless men and women who are trying to take advantage of others, tender moments with her love and a challenging interaction with an Alpha male thinking he can get the best of her.
This book did not disappoint!
I cannot wait for the next book to be released later this summer so we can see what Emma is up to yet again.
This is the first book I have read from this author. I enjoyed how it teaches things to all who read it. Even adults can learn from it. It is about insects and what a katydid does and can eat. Very informative book for all.
What a well written and attention grabbing book this is. As soon as I started reading it I couldn’t out it down. I loved reading about all of the characters and the strong connection they all shared. It really pulled me in to the story. I loved the fact that is was told from.multiple points of view. Every book like this should follow suit because it works so well. I thought the overall story was good although this book really was all about the characters for me. A great book.and I can’t wait for more.

This is a sappy, snarky, sexy tale! I love novels that have a good snarky hero/heroine in them and this one has both! Cash and Hollis are great characters and I love the story between them. Cannot wait for next in series!

Wow! This book is dark, violent and graphic. I love it! Thankfully there is a warning before you buy this book. It is NOT a sweet love story. It is dark, violent and graphic. It is not sunshine and rainbows. It is human trafficking, ugly, violent. It is not a take home to your mother type of story, well unless she likes her heroines a little more broken, a lot violent, a little angry and a lot bad as can be.
Shadow is probably the most broken character I have read about. She has had a harder than hard life. She has no one to trust, to love and no reason to live. Until she meets Tink. Tink and her parents give Shadow a reason to live. A reason to even breathe. But she is still broken inside and wants to hide behind her mask and walls.
Ridding the world or at least Montana of human trafficking is Shadow’s job and reason for being. With Tink and the Devil’s Handmaiden MC these women take down one circuit at a time. With the help of others like Noodles and his ex-Navy Seal friends, Tank and his MC, and now Panther and his crew more evil can be put down.
This story is not for the weak or faint of heart. This story has a smoother flow than book 1 and is well worth the sleepless nights. Looking forward to more by this author and about these bad as can be women!
This is a really good story line. The actual writing is not too bad either. The characters are grotesque, violent, dark, with a little bit of sweet and dedication which makes them all absolutely perfect! I love that this MC is all female! I love that the men they work with are strong men who know how to work next to, and even follow, strong women.
I loved the names these characters had for themselves and each other, Tink, Noodles, Shadow, Pops, Tank, Heartbreaker…the names give a little look into the character that you can’t always get from just a description. I love that one person can have more than one name, depending on who they were with, who was in that inner circle, who they trusted and loved the most.
The beginning and part way into the middle of this story was a little slower than I like…a slow burn for sure. The building of relationships, the telling of the story, a glimpse into certain characters’ pasts. The ending is a fast explosion and over quickly. And while happy is the correct term for this ending I can’t think sunshine and rainbow happy, more like happy for now because there is so much evil in the world and Tink and her crew are doing their best to fix that…so yeah, happy for now.
I will read more from this author as I am curious about the other sisters in the MC.
