Master Trentino (Book Three in the Masters of the Consulate Series) By Sylvia Black
Master Trentino is book three in this series. I do have to say the more books I read in this series the more I am enjoying the storyline. This book we find its centred around Trentino and Angel. It is good to see some of the characters from previous books and to read how well they engage with each other. As with Slyvia’s brilliant writings this book is another one that will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and is another quick read. As we already know Trentino is a vampire master, Angel however as a medium can speak to the departed, her family is also part of the mafia. Her family has always hated the vampire community for as long as she can remember. Now Angel has met Trentino, and she feels that there is some sort of connection between the both of them. She has put herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and now Trentino must save her, and to save her she has now joined the vampire community which her and her family have hated for the longest time. I have to say on a personal note that this book is my favourite from what I have read so far, who knows later it could be another book. What I also liked about this book was the strength that each of the characters showed. Grab a coffee relax and read this book.

Back in the Ring (The Predator Series Book 4) By Brooke May
Another great instalment to the Predator series. From the minute I picked this book up, I couldn’t put it down until the book was finished. This has been a great journey throughout this series and one that I would recommend to read.
Noah ex-boxer married to Helena until she was tragically killed when a drunk driver hit their car. Noah is now left to bring up their only child Holder. After Helena’s death, Noah was harassed by the media, so he went into hiding to get away from them. Noah eventually buys a house in a small town called Phillips Creeks. Noah was so sure that living in this small town the media would not find him. when Noah moved to Phillips Creek he decided to go into the handy work business.
Bijou was born and raised in Phillips Creek. The love of Bijou life was her husband, Eli. Unfortunately, Eli passed away eight years earlier. after his passing Bijou was left to bring up to their daughter Claire. when Bijou found out that Noah was going into the handy work business she decided to approach him for help.
Bijou and Noah They both officially met when Bijou asked Noah if he could repair the air-conditioning unit at the children’s club her and Eli had started. While fixing the air conditioner Noah noticed there was a lot to do to fix up the children’s club. Feelings were sparking between Noah and Bijou but at the beginning Bijou was not sure what to do with them. Bijou had a sense that Eli had sent Noah and Holder to her and Claire, so she acted upon her feelings for Noah. Months into their relationship the media found out where Noah was and stormed Phillips Creek to get an interview. however, the media was coming up with their own ideas as to why Noah was hiding out in a small town. Noah thought it was a good idea for Bijou and Claire to stay away from him until he had sorted out the media. Bijou listened for a while but then decided she was going to help her man. What will happen with Noah and Bijou?

Since I am doing this review on the complete series, I will not do my review on each individual book as I was going to as it would make for one exceptionally long review. The cover of the series I was not too fussed on, that is it for the do not like part of my review. Having never read anything by B.L. Wilde before I was not sure what to expect. But let me say that I was pleasantly surprised with the way each novella was written. Boy, do we ever go on some journey with Miss Bella. She sure did meet some nice men, but also some horrible jerks as well, the jerks I just wanted to punch. Guess that is the way go through life from the toad to the prince to find our love. Jenson (Mr Kinky), was my favourite out of all the Mr’s. I must say that B.L. Wilde absolutely floored me with Mr Almost Perfect, I did not see that coming at all. Honestly, you can not go wrong with reading the complete series, so what is stopping you?

Claire gets the call no one ever wants to get. Her Mother has died and now she is responsible for taking care of her younger sister Alexis. Claire leaves work for an extended amount of time and comes home to get the house packed up and sold and to make arrangements for her sister to move to Los Angeles with her.
Claire takes Alexis to the Orthodontist Mr. Clark and then sparks began to fly. I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down. I think you will enjoy it too.

Wow! I did not expect to like this as much as I did as it’s not my typical genre/tropes. When Tessa realizes she is being stalked, and she gets no help from the police, she hires a private detective, and things take off from there. The suspense was suspensing. The romance was romancing. A slow, will they, won’t they. The climax of the story had me literally gasping lout loud. This book was inclusive and had a wonderful steady plot from start to finish.

Beckett and Evan were friends for a long time. Mallory is Evan’s sister. She used to hang out with them all the time. Evan used to pretend that he was the Preacher and married Mallory to Beckett. Years later, they still feel like they love each other and compare all their dates to each other.
However, Beckett has lost most of his family and feels if he loses Mallory and Evan he will be alone forever. Check out the story and I think you will enjoy it as much as I do

This captivating contemporary romance has a dark element to it and had me hooked throughout. Nicole has always been the good girl, until she has a one night stand whilst on holiday in Costa Rica. To her horror the man turns out to be her professor. Callum is equally shocked to find the girl he had a holiday fling with is now his student and now off limits to him. However, he’s a Titan and used to getting what he wants, and he wants Nicole. The pair begin a forbidden liaison but secrets don’t stay secret for long. Someone wants to ruin Callum’s career and tries to use Nicole to do so. When they also develop an obsession with her Callum realises that power and money mean nothing compared to her. Once again the dark world of the Titans of Chicago was brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. I felt immersed in the storyline and engaged with the characters whilst the plot twists kept me gripped.

4.5 stars It seems that no matter where she goes, Eve finds herself caught up in yet another murder mystery. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy this series so much, because you never know what Jane has in store for us. Once again, Eve puts on her super sleuthing hat to help a friend uncover the truth behind his uncle’s death. However, this case is proving to be difficult, and a second murder has occurred. Eve will need all her skills if she hopes to discover who is behind these murders. She soon finds that every question seems to lead to more questions. “Murder in Prospect” is another exciting cozy mystery story in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series. While all the books can be read as standalone, I highly recommend going back to the first book to find out where this determined and quirky young woman started. What secrets are being concealed in this small, historic mining town?

OMG, all thirteen fab Rom-Com books in one delicious cover. None of the stories are long but they pack a punch and keep you engrossed as you follow along on the journey to find Mr Right! It is packed full of sexy fun. I was sad to see it end because I enjoyed it so much I wanted more. Who doesn’t love a good story where the MC loves to read, loves her hot and steamy books, and wants to play out her fantasies? The series starts with Bella as she navigates the online dating world once again as her cheating, low-life husband Mr. Wimp blames her for their woes when it is all his fault. Revenge is sweet. Throw in some amazing and loving friends, some dancing, lots of wine, flirting, some great and liberating sex and some burning up of sheets, some alpha hot and sexy men, and some witty banter that will have you laughing out loud then you have yourself a lot of fun and super spicy tales as Bella looks for the perfect man for her. I love and am addicted to this series! There are a lot of Mr Wrongs out there but is there a Mr Right? To find out who he is you should get a copy of this book and dig in. There are 13 novellas all together in the Human Mating Site series and I loved each and every one of them. • Mr Whimp • Mr Smooth • Mr Player • Mr Kinky • Mr Heartless • Mr Rich • Mr Boring • Mr Nice • Mr Unavailable • Mr Rockstar • Mr Pushy • Mr Bulls”t • Mr Almost Perfect

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. I enjoy her writing style and characters that are unique and connectable. Her stories are engaging and keep you turning pages to the end. This book is no different. This is a story that is full of mystery and a hunt for a killer. Eve is a journalist student that finds herself helping friend Bob with a mystery regarding Bob’s uncle. What happens with this mystery is something you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed these characters and what they brought to the story. They are connectable and relatable. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story which made it easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, engaging story that is hard to put down. It kept me turning pages to the end. This is a must read story for sure. I highly recommend this awesome story.

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful story. I enjoyed how this author used their writing ability to pull me into their story. Their attention to details made the story realistic and hard to put down. This is a well written story about a game of cat and mouse. A story that has twists and turns that could just turn deadly for the detective on the case, Jessica. She is a great character that is my favorite. I enjoyed watching her growth and the growth of the plot throughout that made her story easy to read. I also enjoyed how connectable and relatable she is, what she added to the story made it entertaining. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. It had me turning pages fast to the end. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend this book.
Back in the Ring is Book 4 in The Predator Series and I am enjoying this series. I recommend reading this series from the beginning as you get to know the characters in each book. I knew I would devour this story of Noah and Bijou right from the beginning prologue. This story gave me raw emotion of loss, secrets and grief but also a second chance for two people who deserved nothing but the best in each other.
Noah is looking to move forward in his life, finding a small town to start over looking for purpose. Finding that purpose that includes Bijou and her youth center may be the right start. All Bijou needs is a sign to continue keeping the center open….that sign is Noah. Can these two hearts find a way to listen to each other and heal……
This is a fantastic story that I could not put down. I really loved Noah and Bijou’s story.

Hope is down on her luck when her bf breaks up with her and she loses her job all within a couple weeks. Her sister enters her into a contest without her knowledge, to win a tropical scuba resort and Hope wins! Her sister has to convince her to take the plunge and step out of her “predictable” life, but she finally agrees to accept her winnings and move to St Croix. She meets the scuba instructor, Alex, who hides some secrets of his own. They just might find healing within each other that they didn’t know they needed. This was a great read for summer. It kept me engaged and the writing/descriptions were well done. Will definitely read more from this author.

This book was a complete hit with all of the family from the minute we started reading. Both my kids have a really close and lovely relationship with their of “Gramma” so I think they found this story really easy to connect with. They couldn’t wait to find where Gramma would next be found. The illustrations really added so much to the story. They really seemed to bring it to life and made it all the more enjoyable to read. The book is fun, lively and engaging from the first page. This really is a brilliant story that our whole family loved.
This book is a brilliant follow up to the first in the series, and I would highly recommend reading them in order for full enjoyment. This book picks up after the events of the first but really takes you on an exciting and fantastical journey. This time we get to follow Gaelen as he traverses through different times, taking the reader on an interesting journey. I loved watching how his character developed throughout this book. It was fitting to the overall story and really did his character justice. I thought the overall story was a great addition to the series. It was interesting and had a lot going on. The author does a great job of handling a complex storyline. This was a brilliant book, even better than the first and I hope to see more from these characters.

This is the 3rd book in the Predator series. This is another contemporary romance which is hard hitting, sizzling with chemistry, humour and banter between our main characters, secrets and traumas from the past that rise it’s head. Where as the first 2 books in the series deal with KC and Chamberlain’s relationship this story focuses on Beth and Scott.
The attraction and chemistry between Beth and Scott is electric but it is hidden behind anger and smart ass comments. Scott knows that Beth wants him but she just won’t admit it. However Scott is determined to prove to her how perfect they are together. But there are things about Beth’s past that Scott doesn’t know. Things that have affect her as a person and that still pose a risk even though neither of them realise it.
Beth had a rough childhood. After her mother abandoned her and left her with her abusive father. Beth grew up not trusting me and keeping herself closed off from everyone. When she finally gets the chance to escape her father she does just that. After changing her name and moving on with her life she thinks things are going good, until her past catches up to her. After telling Scott all about her past and the horrors that happened to her will he still want her knowing she is so damaged? And what happens when Beth finds herself back in danger, will she be able to save herself once again?
This is a really good read. My heart broke for Beth for all that she went through and for the effect it still has on her life. I loved how Scott was determined to give her time to realise that he was always going to stand by her and not hurt her. It was nice to read and get to know these characters a bit more in this story.

This is the fourth book in the series. I really absolutely love this series. There is a lot of sadness at the start and part because of some losses that the characters have. Bijou is a manager/owner of a REC center that is falling apart. Normal wear and tear of the building, her daughter Claire (like most preteens) wants a cell phone. However, Bijou can’t really afford to get her one. So she suggests looking for a job to help pay for one. In the process of doing so, Bijou gets a phone call from Noah (a former boxer) who lost his wife in a horrible accident and is now raising his son Holder by himself. He left the world that he and his wife had to get away from all the speculations of his life. Can he find a new life with Holder in this small town? An amazing beautifully story of two people who have experienced loss that get a chance at second love. Oh, this story made me cry several times. It’s got beautiful characters, and it’s written with such compassion and heartwarming love. You can read as a standalone but it is part a series and I would high recommend reading in order. I was a large fan of the chemistry between these two. I really enjoyed watching this relationship develop and them working out their issues. Auntie Mara was a hoot. She brought light to the story. A true story of redemption that is meant to be read. I absolutely loved it.

What an entertaining box set! Bella is going through a nasty divorce. This box set tales is through her journey to find herself again. The stories are funny, spicy, and vulnerable. Bella is going through the same struggles that many divorced women find themselves dealing with internally. Am I good enough? Who will want me? Etc… I enjoyed each book because minus the spicy part, I found her quite relatable as a divorced woman. The stories are really good. I loved the characters. Having it in a boxset is great because its all in one spot on your reader. Go ahead, you know you want to get it. 13 fantastic stories in this box. It’s the complete series. Wonderful!

What a wild ride! I have enjoyed this series immensely. There are so many twists and turns, I was starting to get nervous about who Bella would end up with. There are some great men that she meets and connects with, but not on a soul mate type of level. I really loved Jensen (Mr Kinky) and his good friend David (Mr. Rich), both of them are stand up men and really care for Bella. Most of the men Bella meets start off okay and then morph into nightmares, of course that gives us a god story. At first I loved Liam over them all, but he really let me down, but it was for the best so that Bella could be with who she truly deserved. I am trying not to say too much to give away what happens, but I love that Bella was able too find herself after Joel, find her confidence and who she can be without him. The toads she goes through to meet her prince are just help her along the way discover what she likes and learn more about herself. Absolutely adored the epilogue, I am so happy Bella and her man are happy and still so in love.

I don’t really know how to feel about Matthew, I get why he is so upset and I get why he feels so betrayed, because he was but, Julia wasn’t acting as herself, she was under the thumb of Valentino. Sometimes healing and accepting take time, but I feel like he isn’t even trying to understand Julia’s situation. I also don’t know why I am standing behind Julia so hard, I guess I just feel like she is treated differently and looked at differently. While out trying to heal his mind and heart from the loss of Christ, the betrayal from Julia and leaving his ka-tet, Matthew seems to have inserted himself into the role of a human with the Medici family. With them he forms friendships and bonds, it seems at times he wouldn’t have any problems being without his ka-tet permanently, but he struggles, with the loss of his power and the relationships he had with Samual, Mary Anne and Jeffrey. I am really hoping he can come to terms with his loss, deal with the turmoil he is feeling with his lost power and the betrayal and be able to connect and live with his ka-tet again. I know it will take time but I hope he can rekindle somewhat of a friendship with Julia, and I really want to see Valentine taken down.

I’ve read many of the author’s books before, and thoroughly enjoyed the mix of historical detail and adventure. This book is no different, and I must say that I liked that this novel got a bit close to home for the main character Nerefet. The plot is, as usual, full of twists and turns that kept me hooked. I love everything this author writes and recommend you read all the books in the series.
5 Stars Master Bistrita (Masters of the Consulate Book 11) by Sylvia Black

The twists and turns will have will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next I think this one may be by my favorite yet. I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them they are just as good as this one. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

“ He cleared his throat and squirmed, not meeting my gaze in the reflection of the mirror. “I moved your, uh… bra… so I wouldn’t get it wet.” Blinking, my mouth dropped open while I watched this hulk of a man— a Delta Force operator, capable of taking out five men without breaking a sweat— grow uncomfortable because of my bra. I bit my lip to contain a laugh.”
Finally, I looked up to his face. “If I’d lost you,” I croaked, the meds loosening my tongue. Shaking his head, he held me at arm’s length and met my gaze. “I’m kind of like gum on your shoe— not that easy to get rid of.”
“I’m just wondering who exactly the enemy is.” He paused. “And if I’ve been fighting the wrong war all these years.” I laid a hand on his arm. “We knew when they ambushed us in the park there was a connection up the chain of command. The question is how high it goes.”
The Taste of Treachery by Emily Bybee is a gripping and suspenseful romantic suspense oozing with tension, intrigue, and mystery. I was drawn to this book by the gorgeous cover, diving in to find a story of corporate greed, dangerous experimental chemicals, government cover-ups, conspiracy, high stakes, and ruthless pursuit. Harper’s world is turned upside down when she receives a distress call from her brother who is serving in the armed forces overseas. His call is cut short- leaving Harper beside herself with worry- especially when he seems to drop off the face of the earth. Then she discovers an email sent by her brother that leads her on a dark and dangerous investigation in the hopes of finding him alive. With the help of her brother’s best friend, Caleb- these two are in for a tense adventure that uncovers a conspiracy with far-reaching and deadly consequences, and the trail leads from a greedy corporation right into the heart of Washington and the powerful movers and shakers who run the country. When Harper and Caleb are targeted by ruthless assassins, and the people around them start to become casualties, these two have no choice but to face danger head-on. What happens, you might ask? Well, this is definitely worth the read to find out all the intriguing developments for yourself. I was totally invested in this story and characters, both impressed by them, while also frustrated at times by their lack of logical thinking. Things like Harper having flaming-red hair, becoming a ‘wanted person’, but not once thinking to cover her hair, or dye it etc- just run around with a very identifiable feature for the assassins to follow. Also, she is a hacker- and yet for the majority of the story she did very little in the way of ‘hacking’. I would have had her hack her way into the corporation, the politicians, and any other relevant parties to get the dirty on them well and truly before everything got so out of hand lol…. But it did make for some tense encounters- so get set for a wild ride! Looking forward to more from Ms. Bybee. Happy Reading…

Being a rodeo queen is the only dream Trinity Redhawk ever had. To be a girl with a strong platform who looked different from all the other smiling faces that she saw growing up.
But with that came the dedication to putting other things aside. And that included a relationship with Shooter Price. Breaking up with him allowed Trinity to go after her dreams and achieve her goals.

Shooter Price swallowed a bitter pill when he came home after failing to accomplish his goal and was forced to find some other avenue to go down for his adult life. What made it worse was seeing the girl who broke his young heart achieve her dreams while he was left feeling lesser.
And then they danced. Whether it was the song, the girl, the place, or all of it together, it brought something back to Shooter he thought long gone.
But the women in his family don’t care for Trinity and what she did to him. Can he establish something with Trinity now without outside interference or were they never meant to be?
