My rating: 4 of 5 stars

G is for Gossamer by Miss Whitaker was an absolutely visually stunning abc book. My daughter quite enjoyed the pictures as they were beautiful and I felt they explained the word well. Having the glossary in the back of the book was extremely helpful. There were many words that were not part of our everyday vocabulary so being able to explain what they meant and show her how to define a word was a great experience. Though not a practical book for actually learning abc, it was perfect for practice, learning new words and concepts. Truly a beautiful addition to our library!

Good fantasy thriller. I know this isnt the first bookbut it was still easy to follow without reading the previous ones. The fantasy part is due to Secret Humankind who have powers and make decisions to benefit themselves, humans, and the planet. The story keeps you intrigued and wanting to know what will happen next. The characters are interesting and there is a lot of detail.

Notebook Mysteries The Art of Deception is the latest book in the series, however it is the first book that I am reading by this author.

The book is quick paced. We get right into the mystery. Emma is crafty and resourceful. There were a few twist and turns. I really enjoy her and Jeremey’s relationship. Although it’s possible to read this book as a stand alone I think I would have more understand with background information on each character from the previous books.

I definitely give it a 4/5 stars.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few (The Merciless Few Series) by S Courtney

Wrecked: The Merciless Few is part of the The Merciless Few Series and is a MC Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. This is my first book by this author and I wasn’t real sure what to expect going in. I love MC Romance so I dove right in and man I’m glad I did. I was an emotional mess going in and this story had me crying at times. Parts of it crushed me . The twists and turns along with everything in between this was a remarkable story. The characters pulled me in they are developed, raw, real and relatable. Reaper oh what I can say about Reaper, his life was simply a mess and turned upside down till he met Avi and her Lil daughter. He’s a bit leary about opening up to her but what will happen if he does? These two pulled at my heart and really made the story fly off the pages. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author and this series.

El Diablo: A Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Novel (Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Series Book 2)El Diablo: A Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Novel by Kathryn Dodson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! El Diablo kept me on the edge of my seat. I’ve read books by this author before, which is why I want to jump right in. Once again I was sucked into a story full of suspense and a passion for adventure.
Jessica has a passion for investigation and adventure but she has decided to settle down and leave that life behind. Especially since she wasn’t doing it legally. That is till one day a name crosses her desk. Pastor Wright rubs her the wrong way. He’s involved with the girls in the local high schools trying to show them the way of god. He is a client of the law firm she works at. However both things come to a head when it’s found out he does some creepy stuff. It’s a matter of whether you believe it or not. When teens and the former property owner disappear Jessica can’t resist. Her old life is calling her name. But she has to do it subtly, it’s the question of will this case actually let her?
What happened to the previous homeowner?
What is Pastor Wright really up to?
That question and so many more come up in this wonderful story. Some answers may surprise the reader, others are to be expected. But it’s worth jumping into. Though it’s part of a series, it definitely works as a standalone novel as well.
I hope you enjoy it, like I have!

Rock Crush and RollRock Crush and Roll by Hunter Snow

I enjoyed this story. Loved the characters (well besides Tyler’s boss). Tyler has been involved in the music industry her whole life, but has been stuck at one job for many years with a crappy boss. He threatens to ruin her if she quits so she keeps chugging along til she can make a break. She is trying to get over a breakup and has sworn off dating musicians. But then her high-school crush comes back into her life and starts working with her. She doesn’t want to be in the spotlight but he wants her to take a chance. Can they come to an agreement and act on their chemistry? I couldn’t put this down, and would definitely read more from this author

A fun contemporary rom-com fantasy series, and you get it all in one book. 13 novellas which are not too long, but just enough to keep you going and ready for the next one. I was sad to see it end. So many twists and turns, with good wine and good friends some good dates and not so good dates throw in some steamy spice and well what more do you need? Definitely pick this one, it will keep you laughing, and it was just a lot of fun to read, as you go on a journey with Bella to find Mr. Right.

My emotions were all over the place. Reaper is a member of the MC group The Merciless Few, his world is turned upside down and is deeply hurt. When he meets Avi he has an immediate connection with her. I really liked Avi, she is a strong female character due to her past. Will they be able to help each other get past their old wounds and get a HEA? Overall I really enjoyed this read. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Malice (Demented Souls Book 14)

How did so many books get released without me realizing it? I have no idea but now I need to find time to get caught up.

Malice who appears to be one of the newer ranch hands and patched in member of the Demented Souls was in the right place at the right time and steps in to help a woman for other reason then to be a good guy and do the right thing.

Bonnie is gutsy, she wasn’t going to allow someone to dictate to her how she should live her life. Pride is a good thing but when it gets in the way of making the right choice then it’s time to let that go.

I liked how the guys all worked together on the ranch and other things that popped up. Definitely a brotherhood and wish women would do this more of one another.

This was quite an introduction to the Demented Souls but also to Ms. Stevens and her books.

This was a very exciting first book in this series! As the story progresses, each character reveals part of themselves and their background story. The main focus is on the character of Gillian, who is strong and does what she can in helping her ill brother. There are stories and myths about what lies beyond the forest surrounding Gillian’s home and although the stories bring darkness and fright, she is very determined in helping her brother. As she travels into the forest, she encounters Roman, who takes hold of Gillian with the intentions of what his father would gain with her. Eventually his intentions start becoming that of his own and away from his father’s demands. This story has dragons, fantasy, romance and adventure. Lots more to look forward to!

Bijou Augustine is walking a fine line as a young widow she is trying to save her youth center while raising her daughter. Stretched thin she is at the end of her rope. When Noah begins to help, Bijou is not certain what the feelings growing between them means. Noah is keeping something from her though will Bijou be willing to accept his secrets or will it tear them apart.

I really liked Bijou, her daughter was spot on for tween years. I could easily visualize the dramatics. Noah is terrific and thought he was a wonderful partner to Bijou. Another great book in the series and completely different then the other books.

Shadowed Storm (Shadow Defense Security, #4)Shadowed Storm by Mavery Ellscott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This entire series is a must read!! Each of these books *could* be read as stand alones, but you’re cheating yourself if you don’t read them all! There is an overarching theme that travels through each book, as well as several of the characters, so I highly recommend it.

There is non-stop action when Alexis discovers that her former research professor is about to unleash a strain of algae that could wipe out the world through the water supply. She will stop at nothing to confront him with this and try to put a stop to his actions. It’s not long before Alexis learns that she’s being pursued by people trying to stop her from stopping the exposure of this corruption.

Seb is an ex-Navy SEAL that is set out to protect Alexis on her endeavors. He’s trying to keep her safe while she’s worried about keeping him and his friends safe. They make a great team!

I want to talk about the ending but I won’t because I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone. However, Ms. Mavery Ellscott, if you are reading this, please get book #5 out ASAP! 🙂

I had picked up the first four books in the box set collection awhile back and immediately fell in love with the author’s writing style. When I saw the complete series out, I grabbed it without hesitation! We’re taken on a range of emotions as Bella goes through a divorce and begins finding herself again. She also finds herself in the new-age dating world with each book documenting the Mr. Guy she has found for the time being. This box set was incredibly steamy, but also surprisingly funny and had me laughing out loud multiple times. I really enjoyed that the men she met were completely different from each other because a lot of romance books find the female character stuck between two very similar guys. My favorites were Mr. Kinky and Mr. Almost Perfect, although I truly did enjoy each and every one of them. You’ll find yourself invested in Bella as she makes you feel each emotion, crying from heartache and laughing at her quick wit. I had such fun finally getting to read the entire collection. Don’t pass this up, it’s not like anything you’ve read before!

The Crown of Stones Complete TrilogyThe Crown of Stones Complete Trilogy by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This trilogy is absolutely fascinating and will be one of your best reads of the year! With the action, drama, and fantasy, there isn’t anything the author left out.

Ian Troy wakes up not only wondering where he is but WHO he is. As his memory slowly seeps in with bits and pieces of what has happened, he questions what kind of person he really is. His purpose is to fix the Crown of Stones, but what he uncovers may be more than he can handle. Will he be able to successfully repair this and heal what has transpired amongst his people or will he be rendered useless?

I think C.L. Schneider created an absolutely stunning realm in this series. While I am so sad to see this series coming to an end, Magic-Borne is a dazzling read! This has been my favorite fantasy series in such a long time. C.L. Schneider has an incredible way of wrapping you in their world and making you feel at one with each character. She is one of the authors that I follow very closely so I don’t miss anything! Ian has been through the ringer, and this is the continuation of his fight. The amount of action, magic, romance, and endurance that you can feel which means you’ll be right there alongside the characters the whole way. Be sure to start from the beginning of the series because this is a very detailed story with amazing world building and in-depth characters. I highly recommend this entire series because it is just mind-blowingly epic!

Ebony Landry initially did not want her soul mate but her soul sister. Once she met Lark, a Soul Hunter, she starts realizes there can be another possibility for her. Through his eyes, she slowly starts to see herself. She is worthy of love. Will love be enough to help her with the difficulties to come? I can’t spoil it for anyone! An enjoyable and engaging lighthearted romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Lucy has had a crush on the gorgeous bad boy rockstar Jesse Kingston since they briefly met years before. When they meet again and Jesse suggests they spend a weekend together Lucy decides to indulge her fantasies. However, one weekend may not be enough for either of them. This is a fun, flirty romance with plenty of humour and laugh out loud moments. The chemistry between Lucy and Jesse sizzles off the page and leads to some rather steamy scenes. Wrecked (The Merciless Few MC)Wrecked by S. Courtney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a MC romance from an author that I havent read before. I love MC romances and I enjoyed this one just as much. This story is a gritty read full of twists and turns that keep you guessing. As it is an MC romance it also shows the strong relationship between the brother in the MC. Their bond is unbreakable which I love. I also love how members of the group are very much alpha males. They love hard and will protect what they care about against all odds.

In this story we meet Reaper. After finding out the woman he loves is cheating on him, he ends up being involved in a accident which pretty much destroys the other lady in his life, his bike.
As he starts to recover he struggles to overcome his fear of getting back on the bike. As well as steeling his heart against anymore romance he also needs to figure out if he can rekindle the passion he once had for riding his bike.

Avi is a woman who needs to escape. Her life is filled with abuse and torture and she needs to escape with her little girl to live with her brother and start a new life.
Little does she realise that her brother isn’t the same person as the one that left her. He is now a major drug lord and a very powerful person. Now she needs to find a safe place away from her brother and the person she meets is Reaper.

This is a story of two people who are damaged in their own way. Both of them are scared to let anyone in for fear of being hurt again. But together to reignite something inside each other that neither of them can deny. This story was a captivating read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
