This story is written from a POV like it’s a memoir. Starts out a bit slow – not because of lack of detail, just not the normal type of writing I’m drawn to. However, this book really delves into a lot of detail and picks up several chapters in.

After Fenimore introducing himself and sharing background, you get into him leaving to go out and become a famous outlaw in the West. He really romanticizes what he expects to happen and things go astray pretty regularly, as the danger and close quarters bring about a lot of emotions. Fenimore realizes he is beginning to have feelings for one of his fellow outlaws, but being with another man is as dangerous as being an outlaw if not more so.

On top of dealing with his growing feelings and daily danger, he is dreaming often of a Man in Black who is a stranger to him – and now his fellow members of his group are being murdered and their bodies are being used to send messages. Who is after them all? Will anyone find out his secret? Will he stay safe from the murderer?

There are a lot of things happening in this book, but the detail is outstanding and it keeps you interested. If the beginning feels a little hard to read, keep going. It picks up and was a very well thought out and built story.

This is the first book I read from this series. I didn’t realize it was apart of a series till after but it can be read as a standalone.

Adam plays the bass is the biggest rock band there is. Christy is a huge pop diva star. When Christy goes in your with the band, the chemistry is instant and boy is it hot!
For me this story has an even balance of spice and plot. Christy has a past that her and her best friend try their best to keep hidden. Adam want more than just sex from Christy but she won’t let him come in.
I’m very interested in going back to read the other band members stories!

I would be the first to admit this book typically wouldn’t be up my alley but the cover was so beautiful, I had to give it a shot. I am so glad I did because this was such a good read. A princess sick of being who she was, a rebel always up for adventure and two people getting more than they wished for. This was such a nice read, nothing that vexed me or left me in a loop of upheaving emotion. It’s the perfect rainy day book, and i did just that, in one sitting. I enjoyed the thrill, secrecy, and romantic possibilities and would defiantly read more from the author!

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart & Hand series by Nicole E. Kelleher. It is a captivating historical fantasy romance with plenty of action, adventure, danger, violence, challenges, duty, murder, chemistry, steam, high stakes, prophecy, politics, agendas, and a touch of fate.
This turned out to be quite an angsty adventure that pulled me in and kept me engaged the whole way through.

This book is for both young and old. Be prepared to head back to junior high and feel all those same feelings of insecurities.. I loved how sincere Landry’s thoughts of self-doubt were completely on the mark. It was nice to relive the days of talking to your crush, making plans with friends, and trying to find out where you belong. If you’re looking for a fun, quick read then this is the book for you.

My Inner Critic was phenomenal. Not that I don’t have a love/hate relationship towards it. But that’s not because of what the author wrote but because it made me evaluate myself in comparison to the character. As someone who lives with High Functioning Anxiety this book hit extremely close to home. I also realized that everything that drove me crazy about the character, I do myself. Though it may be a fictionalized version of the author’s story, it’s very accurate to anyone who lives with this.
Emily lives in a world where everyone’s own happiness is put above hers. Also that she sees none of the positive traits in herself that others see. Going through the motions of life, when fear/anxiety don’t get in the way is how she exists. Unfortunately she’s also at that point in life, that those closest to her are moving on. Getting married, starting families, and drifting apart, leaving her single and alone. Or is she?
Blake is single and free. Not thrilled about getting divorced but so happy to start back up The Friday Night Club with Emily. He cares for her, and he keeps dropping signs that she’s missing. She doesn’t realize he would drop anything for her. That’s Blake’s job to figure out how to navigate the field, all the while she’s trying to find herself.
Everything the author brings you is so spot on! You may go through everything the author presents to you as well, don’t use it as a trigger. Use it as a way to learn something about yourself. I feel like everyone should read this book!

This story really broke my heart from the beginning. While I love a good rags to riches story, this one had so much emotion and so many feelings that I cried multiple times through the story. Full of romance, suspense, mystery, and more I just simply couldn’t put this story down. When I first saw the cover of this book and read the synopsis I knew that I would be pulled in right away, and I definitely wasn’t wrong. Having read several stories from this author before I knew that I would just love this one, and she did not disappoint. So if your looking for a great mystery, or some romance then make sure to pick this one up today.

There are plenty of twists and turns that make this not only an interesting read, but a fast read as well. So if your looking for your next amazing read, then make sure to pick this one up today.

This is a cute series about middle school and the drama you somehow forget it entails for everyone until you read this story and have a whole lot of nostalgia.
Landry is your typical middle schooler trying to find herself. She has some friends but has an opportunity to do something new when she enters a modeling competition and it may launch her into a spotlight she might not be ready for. Will the extra attention and popularity actually be what she wants? How much drama will come from being noticed?
The character was done well with the interpersonal dynamic of middle schoolers was spot on. Great book for school age kids or even adults looking for nostalgia or just a well done book.

This story is fun, scary and maybe a little too realistic. Readers may dream of living in the books they read but the reality is life is tough and not some fairy tale. This author though, tells Storyteller’s tale as a real-life story and sucks the reader right in.

Storyteller is part of the Wretched Souls MC. Their name should tell you enough about them. Their looks, big bad bikers, should tell you more. But it’s what underneath with these men that matter.

Storyteller loves to tell tales. While his stories are often just a replay of what has already happened, he has a way with words. A charisma when telling stories. When he finds an abandoned book, he thinks luck is on his side. Until he decides to return it to the rightful owner.

Storyteller’s choices turn this story into something more. It is the more that brings everything together in Storyteller’s life.

This is just one story in a series of many. Each story is a stand-alone so you can enjoy this author and all that comes with an MC.

Every year on his Unbirthday Caspian receives a present from his Grandpa. When Caspian receives brown socks for his unbirthday present he is disappointed because brown socks is not what he wanted. When Grandpa tells him to put hot chocolate on his socks something unusual happens. Suddenly Caspian is flying through the air and so is Grandpa. Thanks to their magical hot chocolate socks they are able to go flying in the air on a series of adventures.

This is a cute book for kids about silly adventures between a boy and his Grandpa. It is beautifully illustrated which brings the story to life. I am sure that children of all ages will love the little adventure that Caspian and his Grandpa go on. A fun read!

I don’t know if I have ever wanted to shake a character I just met so much in my life!!! There’s gullible and then there’s just dumb. Sam Crawford was definitely not blessed with the brains even if she thinks she can act. The ending of this book definitely had me doing a quick double take. I did not expect the last chapter, so that was cool twist to a very dark book. The writing was good and the book was easy to read – the character is just mentally exhausting to follow.

It had been a while since I had read a book by this author and as soon as I started reading this one I was pulled straight back into her writing style. This book is just as gripping and intense as her others, with characters that completely consume you. I loved the idea behind the story. I found it appealing and I engaged with the story in its entirety.
The characters in this book I think are some of my favourite. The seem to be worlds apart from each other but forge such a strong connection. I could have easily read so much more about them. Manda Mellett is an author that I will read without reading a book description anymore. I have never yet been disappointed. This book was absolutely fantastic and I am already planning on reading it again.

As usual with this author this is a fun and interactive book that the whole family has enjoyed reading. It was engaging and lively but still had a strong lesson running through it. The story appealed to both my children, despite their age difference. My eldest was thoroughly disappointed when her socks didn’t make her fly too.
Lois Wickstom is definitely a firm favourite in our house. All of her books are read multiple times and it is always exciting when we get a new one. We are already looking forward to the next one we get.

While I typically love small town, best friends brother type of books, this one failed to grasp my attention. I had to restart chapters because I wandered elsewhere and eventually skimmed most of the conversations surrounding the family farm succession and how it will be split amongst the sisters. While I did see the author’s note about her reasoning for including explicit information on the topic, it is part of the book that stopped the flow of the small town romance I was hoping for. While I enjoyed Ryan’s character, Grace just wasn’t likeable for me. I always want to root for the main characters but my favorite character was Bluey and I would have rather read about him and Helen. It was a good read, just no wow factor for me.

Eleanor “Elle” Anderson is the oldest sister. That position has always come with great responsibility but more so for Elle. Being the eldest on a family farm seemed like so much more, especially after her mom’s accident left her mom not as able as before. Elle was always the responsible one so it was no surprise when she gave up her life to care for her sister, Chrissy, when she was diagnosed with cancer while she was pregnant. Tessa was a gift from Chrissy so that Ella would have a piece of Chrissy forever. Until Ella checked her mail after returning home from the funeral to discover a summons stating that the mystery father was coming forward.

Jake Taylor was thrown off his game when a beautiful woman entered his office with a small child in tow. Instantly this woman brought out a protectiveness in Jake that he could not understand. When the child announced that the woman he had been expecting had ‘gone to heaven’, Jake’s plan was thrown out the window. Now he not only had to deal with his manipulative, back-stabbing, jerk of a cousin, Jake had to navigate the ghosts of the past to protect his family and build a future for the little girl.

As the situation heats up between Jake and Elle, the situation between Jake and his cousin becomes much more strained. Everyone is on edge. Jake has a plan but he didn’t share it with anyone. It could cost him everything.

I truly enjoyed this story. It was a tad challenging as I didn’t know some of the Aussie slang but I used context clues and when that didn’t work, google did. This was such a sweet story. I enjoyed the relationship Jake built with Tessa. I love that Elle was so no nonsense. I loved Elle and Jake’s banter. Worth the read! Great start to the series and fantastic story on its own.

I don’t know how this author continuously writes these characters! I am in love with a new MC. I didn’t want or need another MC in my life but the Wretched Soulz have burrowed their way into my heart. One of these days I might just have to get a bike and find out what that freedom is really like.

StoryTeller has been a nomad since getting patched into the Soulz due to a heart-crushing incident with a brother and StoryTeller’s fiance. It has been a long 5 years. Now, StoryTeller is being called home by his Prez to help with a special detail. Along the way, StoryTeller picks up a book he found. He discovers that the book had a personal message from the author in the front. StoryTeller then discovers that the woman the book is autographed for is missing. He doesn’t know why but StoryTeller feels a strange pull and attachment to this woman. It has to be more than a shared taste in books.

Sheri receded into her isolated life since her father reappeared after her mother’s death with a new step-family that weren’t big fans of Sheri’s. Sheri finds happiness in motorcycle, mafia, and mayhem romance novels, wishing she could be in one. The one time Sheri decides to add a little excitement to her life by heading to an author’s convention two hours away from home, she is kidnapped by an MC. Sheri decides that fiction is better than reality. Sheri is slowly resigning herself to the expected fate when a stranger claiming her as his Old Lady shows up.

So much happens. Sheri and StoryTeller are separated. Then come back together but will the memories of the way they met be haunting enough to keep apart? Will new challenges keep them separated? All I know is that you have jump into this fast-paced beauty to find out. This was one helluva way to kickstart the Wretched Soulz. There is so much to like about this story. The characters, the excitement, the strong female characters, and the brotherhood are just a few of the reasons to love this story. This series appears to contain a tad more graphic violence but it is not detracting from the story, nor offputting. I wouldn’t mind a touch more steam but can totally see where it didn’t fit this story. This author is ah-effing-maze-zing. Get lost on the back of a bike with your arms around a biker!!

This is the second story in the Billionaire blind date series. I loved these books so far. They can be read as standalone stories as each book mainly focuses on a different couple but some of the characters link in passing.
The author has done an amazing job with the characters making each one individual and engaging. I also love the concept of the whole blind dating angle. How our other senses are hightenend when we lose our sight. Allowing ourselves to he attracted to someone’s personality rather than outward appearance.

Evan is the silent business partner in the Blind Date app and restaurant, along with Kayla who is the face of it. Between them, they know about helping people to find love in a unique way. However it has never worked out for themselves. Now Evan has decided he wants to take the chance to find the love and relationship similar to what his friend found using the Blind Date app.
So he signed up, 4 dates picked for him by his friends to hopefully find true love, but could true love been right under his nose in plain sight?

Kayla loves her job and she really likes her business partner Evan. The chemistry between them is electric but she doesn’t want to mix business with pleasure. If it goes wrong she would lose more than a romantic partner. So she stand clear keeping him at arms length.
But when she is asked to become one of Evans blind dates she jumps at the chance. This is her chance to see if what she feels is real. If they could work together and if the connection is the same with the lights off.

How will Evan react when he finds out that one of his dates was his best friend? Will everything slide into place for Kayla and Evan or will the pressure of being business partners as well as romantic partners make this a situation that can’t work?

I really enjoyed this story, it was nice to read something a little different to what I normally read. The pace and flow of the story was really good and I think the author did an amazing job of capturing Landry’s 13 year old character so perfectly. She conveyed her inner thoughts and feelings across to me as the reader really well. I really did feel like I knew Landry and could definitely empathise with how she was feeling at times. Being a teenager is a really hard time and I definitely think the author portrayed this really well. I can imagine many young readers would be able to relate to the characters and social situations that arise in this book. I would definitely like to read the next book in the series.

Oohh I love a good rockstar romance so when I saw this one I quicky snapped it up – I didn’t realise however that it was the fourth book in this series but it didn’t matter as it was easily read as a standalone but did ignite my wanting to read about the others members of the band. The story was well written, dual POV which is my favourite – I love that you get to understand both characters and I felt like I really knew both Adam and Cristy really well by the end of this book. The chemistry between the two characters was really intense but it still felt believable. I think I pretty much fell in love with Adam as soon as I started reading about him.
This really was a great read and one I would highly recommend – I look forward to reading the next and previous books in this series.

When Landry receives a call that informs her that she has made it to the second round in the tryouts she is surprised, but not nearly as much as her friend who did not expect Landry to advance at all in the tryouts. Landry suddenly finds that the girls she considered to be her best friends are now snubbing her and barely speaking to her. Landry is hurt and upset by her friend’s treatment and soon finds herself having to make new friends.

Landry is a character that I found to not only be likable but also relatable and I really enjoyed how the story was told from her point of view. I was bullied a lot in school and took a lot of abuse in the form of criticism about my appearance from not just classmates but those that called themselves my friends. My self esteem suffered greatly from the criticism, but I never said anything because I did not want to risk losing my friends. It took me well into adulthood to realize that some of those that I considered to be my closest friends were never really a true friend to begin with. Landry was not only courageous enough to try to form other friendships but to also step outside of her comfort zone and try out for the American Ingenue show.

Landry had not only self esteem issues and bullying to deal with but peer pressure and issues at home as she tried to figure out the weird relationship between her parents. Her parents lived in separate cities but were not separated or divorced which was hard for her to sort out. With so much going on in her life it was often difficult for Landry to navigate her feelings, thoughts, and emotions on her own. This is a great book for not just teens, but for adults as well. I found myself reliving my teen years through Landry’s eyes and it gave me new insight into my own high school experience. I highly recommend!

Ugh!! I wanted more!! This prequel is awesome. It is a very short quick read but it will definitely keep you wanting more. Usually, I don’t care for cliff hangers, but there were so much little details that I felt like it was ok. There is so much that I want to say…. but I fear that I’m going to ruin it if I say too much! The initial plot for the book sets up a very exciting mood for the rest of the series! The main characters developments throughout the book is something that I always look forward to, and I can say that the characters in this prequel are presented as wonderful characters with quite a bit of potential for the upcoming books in the series! Surprisingly, there were quite a few twists and turns that were incorporated into such a short read. There are so many emotions and elements that were put into this book, there’s romance; heartbreak, love, angst, and so much more that you don’t see coming, and will leave you craving more. If you have a couple of hours of free time, I suggest picking up this book and getting lost in it! I can say that you will not be disappointed or regret picking up this book! Happy Reading!!

This book is the second in a series, but it reads well as a stand alone. I had not read the previous book and had no trouble with the characters or following along. Grace Anderson is set to take over the farm from her parents. She has become an expert cheesemaker and is working on improvements for the farm. She doesn’t expect to have to deal with Ryan Wilson nor to have to buy her parents’ farm right now. I enjoyed the romance part of the story between Ryan and Grace. I also enjoyed the suspense of who was causing trouble on the farm. Overall an enjoyable read!

This book is the first in a series by one of my favorite young adult authors. Wow did this book bring back some old school memories. In fact, I would highly recommend adults read this book because you will laugh and cry at all the angst going on that you also found yourself dealing with during your middle school years. I reminisced over all that I fretted over and worried about as a middle school teenager and as an adult laughed aloud over because it was so petty and trivial. But at the time seemed so major and significant. It really took me back and made me see how much I have grown and learned based on those times that I worried about. This was a great read and I look forward to picking up the next book in the collection.

I cannot wait to read the rest of this series! This is a prequel, so it is veryyyyy short, so it’s hard to avoid spoiling anything. All I’ll say is that these characters have been through stuff and I am totally rooting for them!! It is a bully romance so there is a LOT of angst and I LOVED that. Definitely recommend if you like dark romance and complex characters.

I love small town romances and now I love farm life romances as well! This is the second book in a series but can be read as standalone, which I did, and it was amazing! The characters were relatable and the book dealt with some deep issues/topics. The plot was easy to follow but very entertaining, I couldn’t put the book down! Will definitely add the other books in this series, on my TBR!
