I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in the series. I will be going back and reading the first book. The characters are very well written. You find your heart beating super fast with anticipation of what’s to happen next when they are in a bind. This book also ends on a cliffhanger, I can’t see what happens next.

We’re new to this series, & this cute little book has made us want to read the rest. It’s short & sweet & inclusive! I read it to my 4 year old 1st, & when he asked to read it again as soon as we finished, my 5 year old caught interest & she loved it too. They had so much fun answering the questions with different silly answers! We can’t wait to read it again!

This curious tale, was definitely one of the more interesting ones that I have read this year. The author crafts her tale in such a way that you never know what’s coming next, and you just simply can’t stop reading. There are parts that will break your heart and others that will warm them. While you will laugh plenty you might also want a box of tissues, needless to say this book was an amazing roller coaster ride. But over all this book was amazing and I will personally be looking for more from this author.

What an amazing journey I took with these characters! Finding a seemingly worthless coin and having it mounted on a charm bracelet, the heroine’s life is forever changed. It turns out, the coin can help identify a villain. Said villain does not wish to be identified. The author provides a suspenseful mystery, with a tiny dollop of romance to tease the listeners. Betrayal, heart-wrenching choices, and above all- a wonderful tale from a truly masterful storyteller is what awaits you when you open your ears.

If I had a Magic Wand by Melissa Lavi was the cutest story! I read it to my two year old and while she may not have understood it, she engaged with the pictures and said words after me. I loved the message and how the wand was passed to each adult. It was a sweet story about what we as parents or caretakers want for our babies. The fact that each picture was so diverse and shows how connected we are as parents and how our babies are our magic. This will be a beautiful story to read again and again to my kids!

I love it when I pick up a book by an author that’s new to me and their story is not only suspenseful but gives enough details to understand the main character and what she’s going through. This book has intrigue, multiple suspects, and it keeps your attention because it’s so good. I do wish I had read the first book in the series and I might still read it anyway.
Tallie Brown faces a lot of challenges but seems to figure out what’s going on before something happens to her. Moments when she faces how her life could have been very different are things many of us see in our own lives. This is one of the best suspense stories I’ve read in a while and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

Where can I find myself a hot, dangerous, protective hunk of man like the ones this author so eloquently bestows upon us? I really need to know. I took the time out of my busy schedule to cuddle up in my heated blanket with a hot chocolate and almost choked a few times from the steam that was coming off of these pages. The intensity of the emotions that run through this novels ink is incredible, and made me thirsty like no other novel has. I mean, perhaps the last novel I read by her but still.

I can never get enough of a strong female lead, either, and Katarina brings all of that to the table and more. Truly though, we all have our secretes, and if the person you love cannot accept you for all of you, are they really your true love? These strong characters, steamy scenes, and addictive world in which we dive into are incredible, and I cannot wait to read more. Highly recommend!

It’s like 3 different stories in 1. I truly enjoyed all 3 main characters and thought they were well developed.
This was such a good well written easy read. I honestly can’t wait to continue reading this series.
I was hooked chapter one, and it literally kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I read it in 2 nights and was honestly itching to get back to it during the work day.
The writing was so engaging, I thought that I had figured things out a few times and yet was so off base each time.
Can’t wait for book 2.

This author is talented in more ways than one. not only does she have a way with words, but those words really hit you deep down, no matter what is going on in your personal life, you’re bound to fall in love with the characters that run deep in these pages. The world building itself is amazing, but I am never let down by her ability to draw you in and spit you out at the end, leaving you wanting to reread everything she brings to the table.

These characters are certainly ones that we have all read of before, that second chance love that everyone, or at least, myself, longs for day after day, year after year. The one that got away, the one you know that you would do anything you could to have back in your grasp. Maybe you don’t realize it, maybe they don’t but eventually, time heals all wounds. Dive into this love story, and I’m sure you will understand what I am talking about! Highly recommend.

Cute little book about pirates. What do they do when they are on vacation? My 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed having me read her this book. It made her use her imagination and come up with ideas that she thinks they do.

Amaleigha is a five year old girl who sees the world in a different way. She enjoys the little things in life, all the way down to the grass between her toes or the insects on the ground. She is very observant and enjoys the forrest and all there is to see, smell, hear and touch. She loves it so much that she wants the whole world to be able to experience it with her. Then she gets an idea, and with her families support, she makes her idea a reality.
This is such a neat story and it teaches kids to dream big, believe in themselves and with hard work they can make a big difference.

Jorja Knight is a private investigator. After receiving a phone call to look into a death that was ruled as an accident, she stumbled on something way bigger than she could ever imagine. Jorja began traveling down a rabbit hole of clues where more bodies also showed up. It seems like every death is connected to a jade statue of a jaguar that could possibly be worth millions or could be a fake.

There are twists and turns at every corner followed by a lot of obstacles that Jorja has to jump over. This case is consuming her every move, it even affects her casual relationship she has with Luis, a police officer.

One thing that made me really happy was that the book was set in Canada. As a Canadian myself, it was really refreshing to recognize places mentioned. At one point it even mentioned the province I live in which isn’t very well known.

This is a quick and fun small town romance that I found to be entertaining from Page 1. I lived the characters in this book. They were charming and fiesty and just great to read about. The main characters had a great chemistry. They seemed to be so different from each other but worked really well.
As the first book I have read by this order I thought this was a great introduction. It was short an easy to read but gave the perfect insight into her writing style. And overall great book.

Fantastic writing, great storytelling and a real gem of a book!

The main character, Soraya is a well rounded character who has yet to tap into her full potential. In this book she heads up the investigation into the killing of the Elders. She finds herself in a pickle when using her new found leadership skills while dealing with the Circle, only to find an antagonist is waiting to try their hand at leadership.

The need to unite together may take some convincing but can they survive without it!? The power struggle is real and creates a lot of drama and action in this book which is fitting for the finale of this trilogy.

I think readers will become true fans after reading this book, no matter if they’ve read the previous titles in this trilogy. The author’s brilliant talent shines throughout this story.

  • This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that includes people of diverse skin tones to provide characters that are animating a wonderful nursery rhyme. This would make a great gift for a new parent or a child who is just learning to read. I have already read this book several times since it is a short book. I really enjoy that this book is still charming despite its size.

A fast-paced tale of romantic suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat. I found the narration to be quite fascinating. His voice was perfect for adding the right tough of suspense. That plot, the author wrote one that flows until BAM, there’s a twist and it continues through the story. I love stories like that. The characters were well developed and written into the story well. I found myself engaged into the story from the beginning. The only thing missing was my ear buds so I could listen to this all the time. Excellent story.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, I did not realize it was the 3rd book of a series but I was still able to follow the story line! The way Brenda Hardwick pulls you into the story with emotion, connections to the ancestors and how magic is not the easy way out but does have consequences. I really enjoyed reading about Miss. Soraya and the other witches who all had unique powers and had their own apprentices to teach. They really felt like a family; they worked at doing what was best and to protect their family throughout the book.
The plot revolves around an enemy that wants to remove their circle for good. Hard decisions are made and they can be felt by everyone in the end. This book pulls you in and takes you for an exhilarating ride!! I very much enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more books by Brenda Hardwick!

The premise of this book is Caspian has to find a way to get a Frisbee out of a tree and while doing that (by putting on his Hot Chocolate Socks that his Grandpa gave him for his Unbirthday) he finds a kitten in the tree that continues to put itself in dangerous situations. Caspian follows the kitten to keep it out of trouble but in a startling turn of events, the kitten hops on the Frisbee and flies away. I understand the general concept of teaching children to problem-solve and use their imagination; however, this book takes too many leaps and bounds. I read this to my 6-year- old and they didn’t enjoy it as much as Wickstrom’s other books. I like the premise of the book, I just think that the events happen to fast or suddenly for them to make any sort of “sense” for the reader.

Another lovely children’s story that is filled with rhymes and illustrations about pirates. I loved it. While I have never considered where pirates go on vacation this book did make me think about that. The kids were fascinated with the illustrations. In fact, they would not allow me to turn the page until they had inspected and critiqued every single item. They were trying to name all the items in the treasure chest which I found to be so much fun and entertaining. This is a wonderful book. I highly recommend it for your kids, gift giving and even donating to your kid’s school library.

This was a very emotional book to read. The author’s writing is so emotive that you can’t help but feel every emotion that the characters are going through. The changing of the landscape added an extra special dimension to the story as you went along on the adventures with them to different places. As the story progresses you learn of the heartbreak and struggles that both Enzo and Phoebe have been through in their pasts and what they go through together. There are a few subject matters that maybe triggers for some people because the author talks about them in an open and honest raw way. This is story about finding love in another person but only after you’ve found love with yourself and I think that’s a very strong message. I will advise having tissues to hand because you are going to be take on a very emotional journey.

I absolutely loved this book! What a beautiful work of historical fiction! Larkin’s description and detail of the costumes for the masquerade ball were ethereal. I felt completely drawn into the story at that point. I also loved that this book gives off a Cinderella vibe but Kosta is the one that knows who Charmaine is. The emotions between Kosta and Charmaine are so intense and romantic that you can truly feel their passion. Charmaine’s character herself was really emotionally gripping with everything she is dealing with and the responsibilities she has on her shoulders. I found her relatable and Larkin’s writing makes it so easy to feel any emotion she is trying to portray. This book also exceeded my expectations with how many thrills and twists there were. It really kept me turning pages and I was pleasantly surprised. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Spellbound Seduction (The Brightley Sisters Book 2). I highly recommend giving this series a try. You’ll love what you find.

I am spellbound by this series! I adore Historical Fiction and Romance and Halley Larkin writes this series with such finesse! So far Arabella, or Bella is my favorite out of the three sisters. I was always the shyest one in my family so her and her hobbies really resonated with me. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of witchcraft. The family folklore and herbal remedies bring a new intrigue into The Brightley Sisters. The second chance at love romance was also really cute and had me rooting for Bella and Thomas’ relationship. With family secrets, lies, and true loves that were thought dead this book delivers and surpasses what it promises! I can’t wait for the final installment Enchanted Engagement to see how Larkin ends this utterly enchanting series.

Mira and Carl are siblings. They disagree on EVERYTHING unless it’s about their dad. They want to do everything together with their dad. They are always arguing who’s better at what in everything. The kids go to the beach with their dad, Carl keeps having to rebuild his sand castle, because of course Mira destroys them all. Carl finally builds the best sand castle that can’t be destroyed, it’s time to go home and they are ready to start over again tomorrow.<br />This was an absolute adorable read especially for kids that have siblings because everything is so true!

Do not be put of by the strange name of this book as it is a really great story. Described as a grinchy/sunshine holiday romance, the author got this spot on. As my first time reading this author’s work, I was pleasantly surprised by a great story that flowed well and characters that I really engaged with. Don’t be scared of trying out authors who are new to you as there are really some gems out there and this belongs to that category.
Tenley, who doesn’t believe in love is invited to beautiful Hawaiian paradise of Kamana Wanalaya by Teagan, the self-confessed Love Guru to prove to her that love really is something to believe in and to hope for.
I loved Teagan and Tenley’s story. There is so much banter between the two of them that makes for some fun, enjoyable reading. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and makes for some steamy scenes in the book.
So can Teagan convince Tenley that love is something to wish for? Will she fall in love with the beautiful resort of Kamana Wanalaya? And will she fall in love with the beautiful, amazing, sweet man that is Teagan? I’d recommend you read this great book and find out the answers.

What an adorable story! I loved everything about this book. Not only did it teach kids, and adults, a lesson regarding how to get book boxes set up in your neighborhoods, but I loved that it also included other ethnicities as well. It even included some dialogue in Spanish, German, and Chinese. What a wonderful idea! I love that the main character is such a wonderful young girl that not only loves to read but wants to bring books to all the kids in her area. With the help of the adults around her she can accomplish her goal of bringing books of all languages to not only the book box but her school library too. This is a highly recommended book for kids. In fact, I am purchasing several for Christmas gifts. I encourage you to do the same. All kids need to read this book.
