Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser – Review by Colleen Noyes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser is the first book I have read by this author and it was truly a gem! The characters were funny and relatable in so many ways. I found myself constantly amused while reading it, that it played like a sitcom in my head.

This book had it’s share of romance mixed in with a tiny bit of angst, but it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Theodore Legend aka Theo-dog is a strong male character that has been through the ringer. He’s completely killed his career with his boyish antics and bad behavior. Enter in the shy, sweet, always does the right thing, Hadley who is a dog trainer hired to “train” Theo-dog and you have all the ingredients for a laugh out loud romance comedy.

The author’s writing style is smooth and one of the things I appreciated the most is the lack of extreme over detail (the grass was white with just a hint of yellow from the hint of orange sky). You could see each scene perfectly without it being overdone. You can tell that this author is doing what she was made to do as everything seamlessly flowed.

The secondary characters, especially Hadley’s family added such wit and I loved all their shenanigans of an everyday family. It brought up memories of my own childhood. The intimate scenes were done well and with class but still had a big amount of steaminess to them. Overall, I would highly recommend this book for a fun filled read you won’t soon forget.

Untrainable By Jamie Schlosser. The characters in this story completely stole my heart and ran off with it. From page one the author had me completely hooked on Theo and Hadley. They just have a connection that leaps off the pages and plays out in front of you. This author is quickly making it to the top of my must read authors because the stories are always written well with relatable characters. I crawl inside and never want to leave. I love a book that makes me laugh. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next time!!!

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser had me hooked from the moment I started reading it. There was something about Theo from the very beginning that made me fall for him, it may have been the fact he’s a Cubs fan. As I learned more about his life I felt like I needed mother him.

Hadley couldn’t have been a better fit for Theo for so many reasons. Her love of dogs or the underdog had me. She is a great person and it was obvious from the beginning.

My only complaint is the fact Ms. Schlosser called the Cubs home park Wrigley Park instead of Wrigley Field. I’m not sure how many readers would have caught that, but as a Cubs fan it bugged me. But other than me being me I loved it and I’m hoping to see another book featuring Theo, Hadley and Aiden.

I’ve started this year off with a bang! Untrainable is one incredible Rom-Com! I read this book in one sitting as I got so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t want to stop! From the very beginning Theo held my heart, he was funny, sweet, caring and thoughtful, which made him the perfect book boyfriend.

I can’t even count the amount of times I caught myself giggling as I followed this storyline. It was highly enjoyable the whole way through. This was my first book by this author but it sure won’t be my last, I can’t wait to dive into my next book by this author!

I would absolutely recommend this rom-com to anyone looking for their next romance!

This story is a sweet love story with a splash of redemption, healing, and humor. I enjoyed reading about Theo and Hadley. The characters have great chemistry and matched well! I love that this story is told from both characters point of view. I feel that I get a better grasp of the characters when the story is told from both point of view. I feel that Jamie Schlosser did a great job with writing about relationships that our characters have and how it affects our characters. This is what I really loved about this book, and I thought this made the whole story more than just a love story!

Untrainable in a novel by Jamie Schlosser. This is my fifth novel by this author.

After seeing Hadley Holiday in a television show, Theo Legend can’t seem to get her out of his head or his dreams. Known as a bad boy and in need on money, he thinks of an idea to get both.

Hadley Holiday may not have won on The Final Showdown but she wants a career in show business and when she offered a job by Theo, she takes it.

Theo may not believe in love at first sight, but there is definitely something there between the two of them.

I always grab any book by this author and was not disappointed. I was hoping for a new book in The Good Guys series but this was a really cute novel set in reality television. Something I used to read when I was younger and gave me better insight how things happen behind the scene.

For anyone looking for a cute quick read, I recommend this novel. It’s the perfect book to start off the year with.

Reading the blurb for Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser you might expect this to be a typical good girl tames bad boy kind of story but it’s sooooo much more than that. Not saying that I don’t like a typical good girl/bad boy story, I do, but I really LOVED Untrainable.
Theo-Dog Legend is portrayed in the media as a total bad boy. The ‘dog’ added to his name when, in one of his lower moments he publically peed on a fire hydrant. But what the public don’t know is that behind the public persona, the real Theo is nothing like the ‘public’ Theo. In a bid to resurrect his reality tv career, Theo joins with Hadley Holiday who had won the hearts of the nation with her dog trick act on a national talent show. Can Hadley tame the dog within Theo?
Brought together to film the new reality tv show, Hadley soon realises that Theo is nothing like the public persona. His reality is far from that which was portrayed on the hit reality TV show Living with Legends which was a camera on the wall reality show about Theo, his famous parents and his brother Aiden.
This is an amazing story and I totally adored the characters of both Theo and Hadley. It was heart-breaking to read just what Theo’s real life had actually been like. On the flip side it was so heart-warming when things turned for the better for Theo and he realised that he was capable of being loved.
I had never read any of this author’s work before and I’m so glad I took the plunge and read this book. Definitely worth 5 stars!

While Jamie Schlosser isn’t a completely new author to me, this is only the third book of hers that I have read yet, very much so my absolute favorite. This was a perfect little afternoon read. I felt as if I had stepped onto the set of a ideal Hallmark movie. Bonus being it had the dash of holiday flair to put it in the category if you wish. I really wouldn’t limit to a holiday read though.

Untrainable really thought outside the box of typical rom-coms. Our MC’s do meet up under a funny and awkward situation and overtly find themselves tasked to work together against some unforeseen obstacle yes, but this had just enough of the more to make it grab you and keep you hooked from beginning to end.

So ‘fetch’ a copy today of Untrainable and laugh your afternoon away as you fall in love all over again with Hadley and Theo- dog. I can promise it will be one that you won’t forget for a long time to come! I can’t wait to see what else comes next from Ms. Schlosser.

What an adorable book! Untrainable is a romantic comedy written by Jamie Schlosser. I’ve ready Jamie’s other series, which were awesome! This book is just as good as those other ones. This one is even more adorable! This book follows Theodore “Theo” Legend. He is famous because is family had a reality tv series and he was considered the “Black Sheep” of the family. Then his parents were killed in a car accident. Hadley Holiday is famous because she was on a talent show on tv with her dog Matilda and made it to third place. Theo is now broke and the laughing stock of the press. He needs to get on the good side of the public. But he also wants Hadley too. So what does he do? He comes up with a realty show comedy where Hadley “trains” him to be a decent human being in public! She isn’t so sure of the idea but goes along with it because she was banking on winning the competition. I love the chemistry between these two! They are so different but it works for them. It doesn’t hurt that the both of them are pretty gorgeous and they both are attracted to each other. This book really is pretty funny and so sweet! I love Jaime’s writing style. It sucks you in and makes you think you are in a rom-com movie! I absolutely adore this book and I would definitely recommend a good book. You will not be sorry you bought this book!

UNTRAINABLE is a fantastic rom-com that I read in one sitting. The main characters are delightful from beginning to end. They are multi-dimensional, well developed and great to read. In addition to tickling my funny bone, this story tugged at my heart strings.

There are a few scenes where I laughed so hard I woke my husband up. I really enjoy this author and hope this series continues with the brother’s story being told next.

Untrainable is a Rom Com that grabbed my attention on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. Jamie Schlosser is on my automatic TBR list. I have enjoyed many of her books, but I have to say this one is my new favorite. For me, a book that can bring out my emotions, like laughing out loud or bursting into tears, is how I rate my five stars. This book did both. The witty dialogue and the sexual chemistry between Theo-Dog Legend and Hadley Holiday was what brought this story together. It was an emotional roller coaster for me, but I really didn’t want to get off. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a really good romancewith all the feels.i can’t wait to read what Ms. Schlosser has in store for us next.

Love, Love, Love. This book was everything and more.

Untrainable was filled with laughs, banter, passion, romance and a whole lot of brilliance, it was also sweet and emotional and I couldn’t help but love each character. This was captivating and such a wonderful read that I couldn’t rate enough! I absolutely loved everything about this read, this author has a brilliant writing style that totally connects the reader to the storyline and the amazing characters she has created.

This romantic comedy was brilliant from the start, I couldn’t put it down and I read it in one sitting. I was truly captivated with this read and couldn’t put it down, it had me laughing out loud, grinning from ear to ear and even feel some of their pain in certain situations through this book, maybe even a few tears. But this was an amazing comedy romance read that I would read over and over again.
With that being said there were secondary characters in this read that most defiantly deserve their own book such as Aiden I would love to read his story.

But for one thing can we just point out how perfect Hadley & Theo are together, they have an immediate connection that draws us in as readers and each other, they have such a real and raw relationship you can see both of them taking things from each other and helping each other on a journey. I love the reassurance and love Hadley gives Theo that he truly needs, and loved seeing the playful and more confident side to Hadley come out thanks to Theo, they really do bring out the best in each other and I loved reading it!

This is a read not to be missed, and will be loved by all, I cannot wait to see what else this author brings to this series and hope this isn’t the last we read of Hadley & Theo’s story.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser is a classic and witty tale of a bad boy seeking redemption,  and who better than a woman to lead him to the good side. Theo needs to clean up his image and Hadley is the perfect lady to keep him on the straight and narrow.

Untrainable is a highly entertaining story of how someone can redeem themselves and live a happy life in the spotlight. A tale of finding your soulmate and and a little self belief that a beautiful soul resides within. The story was brilliantly written, the characters given a powerful voice and and their story is begging to be heard. A story that a reader can totally lose themselves in. An epic 5 star read.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser a five-star read that will make you purr. What a fun read, ‘Theo-Dog’ Legend was so much fun to read, he was such a surprise to read as his first impression wasn’t a good one, but that’s what made the story so good and honest. He needs the TV show to show everyone how he can behave with some good treats like a good boy should. Hadley Holiday is Americas sweetheart and with the help of her side kick Matilda she will be able to show the world you can teach an old dog new tricks and giving us a great story along the way. So long as the treats keep coming so will the good behaviour wont it? Buy the novel and find out, you won’t be disappointed Jamie Schlosser is a great author who brings us story’s that make you smile as well as blush.

What a funny, cute and entertaining story. Jamie Schlosser is such a great storyteller and writer. The main characters, Theo and Hadley, were engaging and fun to get to know. The secondary characters were just as funny to read about. There was at least one sex scene that was out of this world hot. Not for the faint of heart. I love the way Hadley “talks” to herself. And Theo really isn’t as bad as the paparazzi makes him out to be, right?

I have read other stories by this author and was hoping for another good read! Luckily, I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this story for readers over 18. It is a standalone and can be read in one day.

I totally absolutely no doubt about it love this author and anything she writes. This one right here might just be one of my favorites, which is saying a lot because everyone of them are out of this world amazing!

I loved this storyline and the character building was awesome. I was an absolute mess through most of this book…I was either laughing uncontrollably, or my heart was breaking, or through most of it I was swooning over the sweetness of Theo and Hadley together, and the way Hadley’s family was with them. One of my favorite lines was “ Your dad put me in time out” LOL

This book was exactly what I needed after some of the heavier books I’ve been reading lately and I already can’t wait to read it again.

This is one of those stories that deserve more than 5 stars 🙂

OMG! This book! I am either laughing, grinning or shaking my head at every turn of the page! I loved how this started out..meeting the characters. Then how they meshed together…it felt very natural. I couldn’t help but enjoy Theo. He has such determination. To better himself and to date Hadley. His life goals. I love how “all in” he seems to be. How he easily reads her and he is just so….such an amazing character. Hadley Is a smart woman with surprising skills in all kinds of things. Her quirks are cute and her family is amazing. She was a joy to meet and get to know. I couldn’t picture a better match for Theo.

The author did a wonderful job describing the characters. I can easily picture them in my head. All their quirks and facial expressions. I didn’t mention earlier but their last names are perfect. Every detail was taken charge of in this story. I have many passages highlighted in here. There are just so many crazy fun times and sweet lovely moments.

I really can’t stress how enjoyable this book is. It is a delight to read and I am so glad I picked it up! I have read just about all of this authors books. This is my favorite by far and will be going on my re-read shelf. I will be highly recommending this book to friends/readers who love great characters, witty storylines and love smiling and laughing while reading.

Untamable by Jamie Schlosser is a standalone book and is a romantic comedy. I laughed and cried throughout the entire story that was highly entertaining. It was fun with lots of humour that kept you enthralled and not wanting it to stop. Jamie did a great job of writing the characters that seem so real, honest, charming and witty.

What Emery finds when he takes on his next project is nothing at all what he was expecting, in many ways. He wonders if he has bitten off more than he can chew when coming face to face with the problem.

Estelle needs help, there is no denying it and there is apparently only one man capable of taking on her problem.

Will Emery be able to assist the lovely Estelle and take care of her problem? Will he see more than the woman that needs help? Will Emery see more to this woman than meets the eye?

This is a sweet and hilarious read that you do not want to miss. Jamie is a very clever writer that has found the right mix. I look forward to her next book.

Theo is a man who has deep emotions kept hidden by his not so subtle public displays of….well ill let you read that on your own lol. But he has an idea for a show that has the help of Hadley, a dog trainer who will be perfect to train Theo to be good in public again and fix his image.
Hadley, while she feels she’s not funny, is hilarious. And the situations they fond themselves in had me belly laughing.

Jamie Schlosser’s latest novel, Untrainable, is the epitome of a romantic comedy. This author has gone above and beyond in providing a story full of hi-jinks, creative and witty retorts and a fun story line. The cast of characters were superb, from Theo and Hadley to the supporting characters – each of every single one was perfectly added to compliment the story unfolding. Jamie Schlosser is a powerful story teller and her quick wit, sassy and strong characters are one of my favorites to read. In Untrainable, the theme of the story is quirky, cute and highly entertained. You will not be able to get through this story without chuckling and or full on belly laughs. For an author to play on emotions and have them come at pivotal moments in the story, that is talent and fantastic technique.

Untrainable is another delightfully funny romantic comedy by Jamie Schlosser. It was such an incredibly fun story to read, full of laugh-out-loud moments, funny banter and antics, some touching and romantic scenes, emotional moments, and is a fairly light-hearted read.
As soon as I started reading, I was pulled right into the story, easily connecting with the characters and investing in the outcome of their story. Ms. Schlosser has once again proved to be a masterful wordsmith- creating engaging stories that take us, the readers, on a journey of the heart and mind. She balances everything beautifully sprinkling lots of humour amongst the deeper, emotional parts of the storyline.
Her characters are wonderful- beautifully developed and fully realised individuals, with their own quirks and flaws. They were entirely realistic, relatable, and believable. I very much enjoyed meeting Hadley and Theo and following along as their story unfolded.
Well worth the read!

Thank-you, Ms. Schlosser!

This is the second book I have read from Jamie  and I like her writing style which is easy to read and simplistic. She writes the perfect  blend of humour and emotion and weaves it so beautifully and easily.     There is more to Theo, than what the press portray. His hard and emotional past has  left its mark and he is down on his luck. All he needs is a second chance and hopefully  what he has planned will get him there.    Hadley is being offered a chance of a lifetime but why her? I laughed a little too hard while reading this story. The author combined a serious issues with some comedic moments. People are judged by everything the do when they’re in the spot light. Even when they leave that life everything they do is watched. I really felt bad for Theo but another part of me felt like he was just whining. There were multiple solutions for his issue. I just think he was so use to playing that role that it was hard to change. Family ties are such a hard thing to maintain when you hold so much pain and anger inside you. I loved these characters though. Hadley was really sweet but I also want to say naïve. She took life too seriously. They balanced each other out in my opinion. Hadley was serious and Theo was a joke.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser was a fun, feel good read that had my eyes glued to the pages.

Not my first read by this author, so I already kind of had an idea of what I was getting into. I will tell you that I was not disappointed, this book has the same easy reading as the others and, once again I was pulled into a pretty fun story.

The only thing that I will say, is that, and I did mention this in a another review for this author, was how crazy good looking the MC’s are. I’m talking god like, perfection isn’t the word. For me it was a little too much and I would have like them looking more, you know, human. Flaws are good to have, it makes them more believable as real world characters.

Other then that, the overall story is super fun.. okay yes I said that like three times now, but when there’s something good, there are only few words that will get the point across. But in all seriousness, this story has a nice easy flow, smooth rhythm, comedic witty banter and, a couple you can’t help but root for. It’s that feel good book that makes you all warm and gooey on the inside.

With that being said, this is where I leave you, I’m not going to say anymore in fear of spoilers. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall for this crazy, cute couple, and all their shenanigans.

Happy Reading

Ahhhh Jamie Schlosser! First, this author is almost always a 5 star author for me. She never fails to produce a fantastically written story with great detail, amazing characters and some strong chemistry.
Hadley and Theo are amazing characters. Their witty, easy going banter is super smooth, fast paced and effortless. Hadley is 22, smart, and doing all that she can to change where her life is going. An accountant by trade, but unprofessional dog-trainer by night, she has found herself in the unique circumstance of being one of the stars of a new reality TV show. One where she takes a washed up bad boy and try to correct his terrible, dog gone bad behavior.
Theo has the reputation of a bad boy of the worst sort. Not one where he rolls his way through all the bed sheets of every woman he has laid eyes on, but one where he is a bad attitude about everything and doesn’t care about what damage he leaves in his wake.
These two had chemistry both in and out of the sheets. This is a romance novel through and through with good helping of redemption thrown in there for good measure. Hadley and Theo make for two perfectly flawed characters who bring out the best in each other and with that, they help each other grow and become better.
I cannot recommend this book enough. The highest praise I can offer a book and an author is to re-read a book again, and this one is most assuredly on the re-read list.
