I love a great vampire book and this series continues to truly swoon me in! This is the 3rd book in this series and I can say I love them all but this is my favorite. Trentino ends up saving Angel’s life and has to turn her in order to do so. I also love the sizzling moments between Angel and Trentino and their chemistry that leave my heart racing. Vampires, intrigue, betrayal and steamy scenes all wrapped into a great book!! Highly recommended.

This book came back full circle to focus more on the time travel aspect of the Armstrong and Foster story. We get to examine how the amulet and box work, and just how many times they can be used before the stone disappears completely. If one of them travels forward or backward in time, will they be able to return, or will the chance be lost forever? Maggie and Dylan are both desperately in love with their 16th Century Fosters, and suffer at the thought of being separated. It is really hard to review this one without spoilers!! A LOT happens, and I was thrilled to find out after finishing this one that there will be a 4th book, because I am not ready to let these clans go yet. I’ve really enjoyed reading about Scottish and English history and culture, and getting personal with the values and traditions that were important. The characters in these books are phenomenal, and even the characters that have a smaller role are well-defined and believable. I read all three books back-to-back in a matter of days. When is Book 4 coming??

Tensions run very high in this novel, and the plot turns on split-second decisions. My heart was definitely pounding in places, and shed some tears in others. Very emotional and exciting continuation to this series.

Wow! Really is all I can say. This was my first C.R. Robertson book and it definitely won’t be my last! It was a new take on star-crossed lovers. Tasha drove me crazy with how stubborn she could be but she is an amazing warrior that stands up for what’s right. Levi. Swoon! He is a hunky loner of a wolf that will not let anyone stand in his way of what is his. I am ready to see where their story takes me!

This is a fantastic start to series that I am already loving. 19-year-old Maggie Armstrong gets sent back to 16th Century Scotland with her father and best friend, and finally gets to experience having the loyal family she’s always dreamed of. But family relations aren’t as easy as they seem, and Maggie chafes under women’s obligations in the 1500s. I love that she is a strong, stubborn, tenacious woman, very much her father’s daughter, and stands up for herself and her beliefs no matter the cost. While the life of border reivers can be violent and short, she appreciates the joy, love, and simplicity of strong family ties and protecting your own. This novel has plenty of battles, betrayals, and love stories to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Book 1 is the start of what I expect to be an epic saga, and I am here for it!

I was skeptical at first but I’m glad I took the leap and read this book. I loved it! How two supernatural societies, that were mortal enemies, evolved into a truce for the greater good for both groups showed great growth throughout. Tasha, a vampire, who has never felt like she belonged. Levi, a lycan, has always been a loner due to his black fur pattern, which has always been viewed as out of control. Mortal enemies that came together not only to fight a common enemy but as mates. Tasha and Levi met the summer before they were meant to go into their respective armies, to learn to fight one another. A drop from a tree and two bites later, they thought they killed one another. That never happened; they both survived, creating a bond that summer that could never be broken. 20 years was the service time they both needed to serve, after that they promised one another they would meet each other in Paris. Come 10 years later a new enemy has emerged which forges them to cross paths once again. Never forgetting their connection they join together to find out what is killing both of their species faster than anything ever has. The growth and love between these two characters is exponential in itself and makes me look forward to continuing their story in book two!

Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, what are we going to do with you both?!?! In Forbidden Mate we are entertaining book 2 of Tasha and Levi’s story. It’s definitely one I’m sucked into and can’t wait to read book 3. You really need to read the 1st book before jumping into this one, or you will have a lot of unanswered questions. The Master Hellspawn is still after Tasha, book 2 picks up a few months after book 1 ends. Castus is also after Tasha. So not just one enemy but two! It’s definitely worth the read, the bond between Tasha and Levi is wonderful and keeps getting stronger. If you like vampires or lycans trust me when I say it’s definitely worth the read!

Perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy! Forbidden Moon was exactly that and more. Tasha and Levi’s love story comes full circle to start this book, with not only a child, but venturing back to where they first met. Which will be the first time since they spent their initial summer together. With Castus dead, the only things after Tasha now are the Hellspawn. They are getting stronger and more persistent. After finding out Tasha is bound to be a sorceress also learns how to utilize and contain her magic better. I don’t want to give too much away because you really need to read all 3 books. So if you’re stumbling upon this book, start with book 1 in the trilogy. If you already read book 1 & 2, what are you waiting for?!?! The author did an amazing job with the trilogy so you need to do it justice and read all 3!!!

Great series! It ties in police detective work with vampires. The real world, in this case, is the human world we know, mixed in with vampire bars and a vampire overlord. If you like vampires, world building, police work, and romance, this series is for you.

Well I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when starting this book but I certainly was not disappointed. I think that this book is a very good resource for authors. This author does a fantastic job of setting up the foundations on how to get more traffic for books and find audiences. I was very impressed with the detail and step by steps. I was not aware of all the different types of conventions. I personally have met two authors at a convention and was introduced to their series and I have to say I was hooked on both and I think that this book is a great tool for authors who are starting out and also those who are well versed as they can always find new audiences as well. When Trentino enters the home of the Mancino brothers to cover his people as they recover what was stolen from them. Unbeknownst to him, their sister wakes to check what is going on. Angel senses someone in the house but she’s not sure if actually someone or her dead grandmother trying to talk with her like always. Then a vampire traps her in a moment filled with fear but many something more. It only starts to become clear what that was when her home gets attacked, her brother killed, and this vampire enters finding her on the floor bleeding out. Though she’s grown to hate them, her life might just be saved thanks to one. Risking the needs of the community, Trentino will figure out why the Mancinos were attacked and how it connects the efforts being made to discredit and destroy the vampire community.
I actually found myself linking Angel a lot more than I anticipated. I think a lot had to do with the fact that I really struggled in the beginning because though these books are pretty decent and quick reads in the moment you’re reading them, I personally find it really hard to remember what happened. I found a lot of the time that I was struggling to remember who some of the main characters were and what their roles were within the vampire community. I will say that the author’s strongest skill lay in her romantic and smut scenes. With that being said, it took me a long time to realize that there was a larger overarching plot that would last several more books after what I was reading. Additionally, I find it frustrating that the main heroines continue to follow very similar paths of finding their mates and becoming vampires. On a positive though, I really liked how even though Angel wasn’t sure how much she wanted to be a vampire, she dedicated herself to figuring it out and had many great scenes with the other female characters. Overall, I agree with the one master’s comment at the end regarding his perspective on the rules being broken.

This has to be one of my favourite series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but this series is one that’s worth going back to read.
Gabe and Katrina are possibly my favourite couple so far! They say opposites attract, and these guys couldn’t be more different. Katrina runs a dating app and has a casual outlook on all things love. Gabe believes love is so much more and stuff teaches people about intimacy. As always with this author, the book had me laughing out loud. The chemistry between Gabe and Katrina runs throughout the whole story, and the friction between them makes for a fun and feisty read. This is a paranormal story like you’ve never read before.

This was the perfect book for me to pick up now that the stressful holidays are over. I needed the fun, romance, and laughter this book brought. Katrina is a sex demon, determined to gain her freedom from Satan, hopefully by lying low and fasting. She is the only sex demon in New Orleans going on 100 years, at least until Gabe. Katrina has introduced a new hook up app just for supernatural beings and Gabe comes to town with a seminar on how to become more intimate with your partner without sex. The back and forth hijinks made me laugh out loud. Can Gabe make a deal with Satan to free Katrina without her knowing? Will Katrina and Gabe give in to the chemistry obviously brewing between them? This is the first book I have read in this series and if they are all as laughter inducing as this one, I am going to eat them all up! Great way to start the new year with a good book!

We are once again matched up with Levi and Tasha. Along with their crews of lycans, witches, and vampires together.
The peace accords have been made however there is still the threat of the Hellspawn. We join as they fight to get rid of them once and for all. Along with discovering certain magical aspects of themselves at the same time.
This was a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. I highly enjoyed every moment of it and it wasn’t something that I was able to put down. I am sad that this is the last of their story together but very happy with the way that it was wrapped up and concluded.
This isn’t your typical end of the world book. It’s filled with humor and teenage angst. It’s harnessed with pain, laughter, and hope. I was hooked from the first line. The main characters are developed beautifully. Kella is stronger than she realizes and I love Huck. Stargazer is one of the sweetest people I’ve read about. She’s smart, brave, and a fighter. Finch is Interesting. Like a father figure but at the same time crushable. The story made me reflect on my own skills and how’d I’d manage a pandemic of this level. The last chapter had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I didn’t even realize I was at the end of the book. I cannot wait for another book. I need more.

Although I haven’t read previous books in this series, this book is good as a stand-alone read. This book has older teens on the cusp of adulthood, as well as young adults who are all struggling with who to trust during a catastrophic portion of their lives. There is an epidemic, there are masks, there are vaccines- all of which eerily parallel some of today’s issues. If you are looking for a captivating story that you simply can’t put down, then you have found it! You’ll have to excuse me now, as I need to track down the rest of the books- I’d like to read them, and have them in my classroom for early finishers to read.

This was such an interesting story to read. After I had read the synopsis something about the story had me intrigued, it’s not usually something I would read but I thought I would give it a go and I really did enjoy it. The author’s writing was brilliant, really engaging and I found that the characters were really relatable. The main character, Lizbeth, had a real determination about her and I was really willing her to overcome the obstacles in her way to find out what she wanted to find out about and fill in some of those important family missing blanks. Overall, this was a lovely read, somewhat unexpected and one that I would highly recommend.

After the betrayal this book had my heart racing! I almost love/hate books that have the central character taunted for being themselves, literally boils my blood. With that being said, this book had me immersed in the story. The only issues I had with the story are 1. The climax was not in middle but at the end. Although it did have a couple of pages of a resolution and a nice epilogue I feel there needed to a little more resolution. 2. There was a lot of unnecessary filler pages. Now without adding spoilers there was plenty of character building but it was almost too much for this type of story. 3. The cover – it really deflects the energy this book gives. The two cover “characters” make it seem this book is set in the 80’s with 2 people in their late 20s and that’s not the story at all. 4. Yes, there is a theme of sports, since the two main characters enjoy football, however, I don’t think this makes it a sports story. This may deflect readers from the core themes of the story which is — betrayal, childhood friendship, and bullying.
Other than the issues I’ve described it really is worth a read!

I have really enjoyed this series so was definitely looking forward to this newest instalment and I wasn’t disappointed. It carried the same amount of humour I’ve come to expect from the story and also the brilliant characters. I loved the plot for this book it was very entertaining and made the story really fun to read. As always, the authors world building was spit on blending together real life and the paranormal! I also love the title to the story too! As always with this author I highly recommend her work and this story in particular is one of my favourites from her!

Just what I needed to read! This was a great story. I loved the characters, they all felt so real. I felt connected to everyone in the story. Reading about Sophie made me wish for a grandma like that. I loved everything about this book, it was easy to get lost in another world. Definitely recommend!

Exiled South started off a little slower and different than I imagined. However, the hardships the main character, Lizbeth, faces in the beginning of the book help push her to continue her journey later in the story. Harriet Cannon delivered wonderful characters and amazing settings from around the world! I enjoy genealogy and familial history so this was definitely a book I could got into. I found Lizbeth a little too sensitive during some of the more tense situations, but it made her character that much more believable. I enjoyed the author’s use of illustrative writing when describing the various places in the story, from the shoreline of South Carolina, to the beaches of the Bahamas and Rio de Janeiro. I look forward to reading more from Harriet Cannon in the future.

I’m so happy I found this author. Her way of writing is an entire storytelling experience. This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I was hooked all the way through. She has this way of making you feel completely immersed in the world she has built. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Very interesting read! I’m all for science fiction and this one is a very interesting concept. Its a very detailed story told from Tristans and the travelers point of view. I like how the book is broken up into different parts. I really enjoyed reading about the travelers journey. The story flows really well and was easy to follow. It will even pull on your heart strings a little! Definitely worth the read!

Highly recommend for a fun, adventurous read! A fun middle school novel!

This novel likely car be read by advanced readers in 5th grade or anyone in middle school. I know there were some words I needed to look up, which I enjoy. This novel does reference some of the people Tally met while in India, book 1 in the series, but Canada holds up on its own as a stand alone.
Here, Tally’s dad is so proud of her for her strength and job well done since arriving in India that he takes her on a trip to the Yukon in Canada. Talk about one extreme temperature to another!
I really enjoyed the small tidbits of real world things that are talked about in the beginning, (nose hairs freezing anyone?!) and how life differs when you’re somewhere that gets so cold. I enjoyed meeting the new supporting cast, Mar, Earl, Amka, etc. and who could forget about the sled dogs!
Of course this wouldn’t be an adventurer novel without an adventure (besides the setting of middle of nowhere, Yukon, Canada). Here, Tally must help people in a local village to figure out a riddle/mystery. We see more of Jophiel, the Angel, and his influence on Tally, as well as imparting life lessons. There is some mysticism that occurs, which as a fantasy reader I thoroughly enjoyed.
I highly recommend this novel for fun and adventure.

This book is possibly one of the best paranormal romances that I have ever read. While this is book six in the series if you haven’t read the previous books, you can moat certainly read this one as a stand alone. This paranormal romance is fun, sexy, and humorous. The plot and the characters are phenomenal, and the word building is increidble. Katrina has a phenomenal dating app going in New Orleans and is enjoying her success, but what happens when sexy Gabe enters the picture? Will sparks fly? Will there be perfect chemistry?You’ll have to read this increible paranormal romance to find out for yourself.

This is the first book I have read by this author. Like many people, I’d love to know more about my family history and this story sure stirred up some interest in looking into things. I really connected with Lisbeth as she digs into her family’s past, finding interesting details in her family history, what it was like during and after the civil war for them. The author did a wonderful job of showing how our choices lead to unexpected consequences. The story covered multiple generations and was easy to read and kept my interest. There are some tough points in the book that may be uncomfortable or may trigger some readers.

I was surprised that I enjoyed this book. I am not a huge sci-FI fan but this author knows what she is doing. So much happens in this story that you don’t know end game. The traveler is this being that can take power over all. But one human can be the savior or demise of man kind. There are morals to this story that had me hooked. By the end I did not know how to feel and I love it So many different adventures go on in this story and I am telling you I may be addicted. There is a book two and I cant wait. Love the characters and the worlds that are created it is so creative and defined. This is a top tier sci-FI read.

I’m going to start my review by saying this: I have never wrote a book, I have no intentions of writing one, and I never plan to get a booth at a con. However, if I ever were to do so, this book had a lot of good advice on doing so and how to go about it! The author included checklists, life stories about her experiences, and well meaning advice. For a quick help guide I thought this was very practical and straight to the point. For an author or artist trying to get involved in a con I highly recommend this book! I think it could help anyone who’s wanting to get out there and do it!
