I love, love, love Via’s work. Via is known for writing steamy dark mafia romances and I have love each and every one of them. I jumped to grab a copy when I saw this new book was out. Consigliere’s Revenge is the third gripping book in the Sicilian Gods series. Make sure you read them in order or you will be missing out on all this dark and delectable goodness. Via does dark and dangerous so well that you are sad when the final page draws near.
In the dark of the crime world these ruthless, dangerous and powerful men do not play around when their backs are up you can be sure that there will be retribution, retaliation and sweat, sweat revenge.
It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lover’s mafia romance. It is gritty, raw and brutal, savage and sinful, passionate and bloody, intense and violent. But once you are in their hearts there is nothing they will stop at to keep you safe. With heartache, action, twists and turns, secrets, lies, danger, scars, mistrust, enemies, crime lords and so much more there is something for everyone and to keep the pages turning and become lost in this extraordinary world.
There are no spoilers here because you have to devour this tale and take it all in on your own.
As usual I can’t wait for more!

Small Fry is a children’s book was inspired by Stephenie’s son and the passion and love shine through in the narrative. Part of the story is uniquely told by Silas and his Grandfather by email.
Silas has a growth hormone deficiency and is smaller than other kids. He soon finds himself on the radar of the bullies when he starts 6th grade middle school because of his size. Don’t they say good things come in small packages?
The story takes us on a journey of what life is like for Silas and how he navigates all that is thrown at him.
Silas captured my heart from the beginning all the way to the end. Chad and his bullying ways not so much.
All in all it is a fun read full of friends and pandemonium.

To be a Fae Legend is another epic novel by Tricia Copeland. It is a paranormal fantasy, Young Adult story and is book 3 of 3 in the Realm Chronicles series. Her writing style takes you to a vividly magical world that is easy to get lost in. I highly recommend that you start with book one and work your way through as they follow on from each other.

Tricia has created a world where there are faeries, monsters and a host of characters and creatures that live in the deep dark. This story has everything you need to keep you enthralled with action and danger, lies and deceit, loss and pain, drama and mystery and so much more. You get lost amongst the adventure, the helplessness, and evil lurking in a world that is in a battle of good versus evil, fae lore and legends.

I have said it before and I will say it again Tricia’s world building is only limited by your imagination and takes you to the most magical of places and the bowels of the world.

Could Titania be the prophesied one? She has a kingdom to rule, a husband to find, and a gift to harness and oh on top of all that she has to save her world from the dark evil that resides Lower Earth. No pressure.

If you love paranormal fantasy tales then this is for you. I am looking forward to what comes next from Tricia.

REIGN: The Rise of the Lich: The Silver Blood Knight is the second book in this refreshing series. Unfortunately, I didn’t pick up on this until I was nearly finished this book. Carol is a new author to me, and I really enjoyed her work. Unfortunately, it is a very short story.

The characters are very well developed and interesting, and the world-building is intriguing, and the plot is original and unique. I enjoy a good paranormal tale one where you get lost in the story and invested in the characters and REIGN: The Rise of the Lich is just that.

James and his band of Heavenly friends are in a fight for the souls of on earth against reanimated unholy creatures. It is a fight of their lives. Where a battle against good and evil meet once again. Who will be the victor?

This tale has lots of suspense and a great storyline has twists and turns I didn’t see coming and is action-packed. You will be glued to your seat as you turn page after page.

Magic, Knights, a hybrid vampire wolf, a teenaged wizard, Lycans, corrupt politicians, mythological predators are what you will find in this gripping tale.

Not only will I have to go back to the first book, but I will be going back and start at the beginning of her vampire stories.

A Spot of Earl Slay is the first book in this fun new series by Aubrey Elle, the Tea Time Troubles series. I have not read anything by this author before and it was an easy read to settle into.
What exactly does the small town of Fayette hold in store for our characters hoping for a change of pace and a new start? The town is full of quirky characters and town gossips and the like.
This short story starts out with a corpse, an ex who wants to play hardball, and a plethora of suspects for this mother daughter duo to delve deep into investigating. It’s hard not to laugh when a teenager gets involved.
This fun cosy mystery finds amateur sleuths Naomi and Ella and their tea-loving friends trying to solve the mystery of the death of the town gossip. What kind of danger do they find lurking in the shadows?
If you like cosy mysteries pop in with a cup of tea and a biscuit and say hi to the gang.

The Vassal of Magic is the third book in CB’s captivating The Virus of Beauty series. Make sure to start at the beginning of this series with The Virus of Beauty and The Veil of Corruption as each book follows on from the other.
This well plotted and highly imaginative tale is original and unique. It is fast paced Young Adult fantasy tale has magic, witches and wizards. The Vassal of Magic is set in beautiful magical realms and is action-packed, rife with danger, palpable tension, with lots of mystery and suspense.
CB’s world building is cleverly woven together with a well-developed quirky cast characters to draw readers in.
Can Wilf tap into his full potential to combat the evil that threatens the realm and to save the girl of his dreams? The pages keep turning as we travel along with Wilf and the many twists and turns that he has to face.
If you love YA fantasy fun adventure tales you will like this book. You don’t have to be a YA to read it though!

Non-Verbal is a Young Adult story based on a true story. Apparently, it is recommended for teenagers 10 – 18 years. This young woman was labelled as having an autism spectrum disorder, having sensory processing disorder, and an intellectual disability as well as being functionally non-verbal. That is a lot of labels.
It is a moving and captivating story about Emerson who is severely autistic and unable to verbalise in words, but she does have a voice. It is a story told by her that will make your heart ache. We see how she navigates her world and what it is like to be present but talked about like she doesn’t understand. We watch as her stressed and over protective parents fight not only with her to keep her safe but for her and to get her the support and treatment she needs.
I have a grandson who is low on the Asperger’s spectrum and has auditory processing disorder and I know the struggles we faced in getting the help he needed.
It is easy to feel for these people that evoke such strong emotions.
With friendships, bullies, Emerson’s self-harm behaviours, and mental and emotional issues we truly see how life is for this vulnerable young woman and people like her.
Non-Verbal is a thought-provoking and moving story.

This interesting story is aimed at 4- 8 years. They will get lost in the bright and colourful illustrations whilst getting involved in the story. Lois gifts her readers with stories that engages small minds. Stories that makes then believe and teaches them that anything is possible.
Alex loves to invent things and tinker with old things and in this story he puts his mind to making a flying carpet. Imagine exploring the world of wonders and make believe and learning new things along the way.
My grandbabies wanted to have a flying carpet of their own.

Unexpected Entanglement is the third book in The Echo series. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and this one is no different. I like that CR has intertwined the characters throughout the books. This is probably my favourite of the three.
This heartfelt and fun love story will have you falling in love with the characters, Rowan and Chris. I also enjoyed their back and forth banter. The supporting characters where great too.
There is tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion and humour, danger and suspense, pain and emotions. This is a great read and I was hooked from the word go.
This is a captivating tale and I liked the fake relationship trope and all that comes with trying to keep things straight. What is supposed to be a simple wedding turns out it is anything but……. Are lives in danger? You will have to read to find out.
I am looking forward to seeing what comes next from CR.

A River of Crows is a mysterious tale that intertwines not one but two stories with two timelines 1988 and the present. You will be glued to the pages as you try to put the intricate pieces together. Shanessa’s twisty plot of family dynamics and murder shows off her gifted writing skills and storytelling.
Sloan must return to the one place that holds heartache and pain, memories and unanswered questions. Sloan’s world is rocked to its core as she unravels the layers. Nothing will ever be the same again.

I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the third and final book in the Trading Heartbeats trilogy. I suggest reading the other two books in order as the characters intertwine even though they could be read as standalones. I have loved all the books but I loved this book the most. They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas OR does it?
Finding your one at a young age comes with dreams and fairy tales. Then real life comes with adulthood and sometimes reality is not what it seems. They thought their love would be forever and maybe it is but over time responsibilities and little things slip in until they become too big to bear.
I really felt for the characters, Lauren and Mitch they feel real with flaws and all.
This heart wrenching tale will leave you feeling a little raw and emotional when everything around our female MC is falling apart.
Life wasn’t meant to be like this. Everything she holds dear is slipping through her fingers. With nothing to lose she puts it all on the line. Let the chips fall where they may. What happened to make it all fall apart?
To know what happens you will need to read for yourself.
I really enjoyed this trilogy and know you will too.

I was happy to see the next book was out so jumped right in.
The Innovator is the third book in the WaterFyre Rising series. It is a forced proximity enemies to lovers tale. Even though this is the third book in the series each book can be read as standalones. This contemporary romance is a suspenseful tale with danger and dark secrets that may just destroy it all.
Gray was burned before and it is still leaving a bitter taste with him. He is safe from heartache as he has built walls around his heart with reinforced steel. Or so he thought.
Nat is out to save her family’s legacy but wonders if it is all worth it when you are working with an arrogant SOB. When tensions are at breaking point she discovers much more than she thought she would find. However, when danger comes calling who will help her?
I look forward to what comes next from Nadia.

Imagine being a fourteen year old girl living in despair whilst her home town of Sarajevo is ravaged by war. Of having to witness family, friends and neighbours dying in front of you. Of having to live with the reality of bullets and bombs etc and of wondering if you will be next. Imagine trying to survive without the basic necessities of food, running water, electricity and no heat. Ten Thousand Shells and Counting is a historical memoir of just that. A retelling of a that young girl and how a cold and heartless war shaped her life.
This heart wrenching tale will leave you an emotional wreck. Nadija Mujagics incredible yet heartbreaking true story takes us into the horrifying and shocking journey of being a young woman and her quest for survival during the Bosnian War. Imagine the hopelessness for a life you had no control over, and the effect of a senseless war left on people.
Nadija decided to tell the world her story in the hope that no one should have to go through what she did. That no one should have to live through the atrocities that she did, and that history would not repeat itself again. The crimes against others and especially the violence against women that go unpunished. She gives us an eye-opening insight into the aftermath of what a war does to people. The deep scars that will always bleed and the ghosts that live within one’s soul despite the healing.
The blood sweat and tears Nadija put into this story is palpable and (hopefully) it was a cathartic release of pain and torment. If she were here in front of me telling her story, I would have to scoop her up and hug her. It takes a strong woman to reveal your inner demons and share your story with the world and I applaud Nadija for doing so.
Make sure you have tissues on hand because you are going to need them and a few good stiff drinks just to get through this memoir. It is a hard read knowing what these people went through and to see firsthand what the leaders in a war don’t care about in all their greed.

Operation Escape is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series. It is a unique and original sci-fi tale with fated mate’s trope. Make sure to read the first book in the series and the characters are intertwined.
This adventure story has a bit of everything that lovers of sci fi will enjoy. With experiments, altered DNA, tested loyalties, forced bonds, new alliances, lies and secrets you will not know who to trust and much more.
The characters are an interesting mob with a pansexual hero, a heroine who is a little naïve and out of her depth, and a ragtag crew of humanoid aliens and science experiments. It is easy to imagine this journey with these lovable quirky characters that Landra gave life to.
What should have been a simple mission leaves Sera and Markus fighting for their lives on an unknown and hostile planet.
This new world is full of action, danger, adventure with a little push and pull romance and is a story that should not be missed.
If you enjoy this sci fi or even if you don’t, give it a go.

Forbidden fruit and all that in this dark student teacher romantic suspense story. The story is original and intriguing as Liza takes us a look into the world of Cirque du Lys and some bondage and the beautiful art of rope binding like Shibari.
The story is told in dual POV which gives you a better understanding of the characters and where they are coming from. Ties That Bind is full of heat and suspense. This sexy age gap new adult romance is full of emotions, with lots of angst and plenty of chemistry! The age gap is significant and the communication between them was the cause of many problems due to dark secrets.
She is plagued by a childhood tragedy and has always longed for something that for so long has been out of her reach. Now it is all in front of her and what she doesn’t know is their lives have been intertwined and there is a past that may just ruin them.
He knows it’s wrong, but he is drawn in like a moth to a flame. But with a past that is full of secrets that should never be exposed between them it is unlikely that love conquers all.
We are left with questions and a cliff hanger which I hope we get answers to in the next book.

Amy’s Rebellion is an intriguing New Adult dark fantasy story. It is the first book in the Gemstone Massacre Series and an enemies to lover’s romance. It is also the first book I have read by this author. I was not aware there is a prequel, War of the Twin Swords until after I finished Amy’s Rebellion. I would say reading the prequel is a must as it tells the story of Opal the clans and the war. There is much to be learned.
There is so much to keep the reader engaged with drama, action, and suspense, magic, magical lands, friendship, enchantress’s, assassins, gemstones, familiars, seers, evil intensions, a corrupt Magic Council, shifters.
Julia has given us mythologies based around Merlin and King Arthur with a new twist on Excalibur. It is a retelling of sorts that is unique with a plot is very well thought out. There are unexpected twists and vivid details. Julia has included a cast of different cultures and LGBTQ+ characters with strong FMC’s. Sometimes keeping track of them all got a bit difficult.
All in all, this was an enjoyable read, and I will see where the next book in the series takes us.

In this urban fantasy Yeti Left Home Aaron has given the reader a paranormal thriller that is original and humorous. This light-hearted quirky tale will have you laughing at times. Aaron is a new author to me so obviously this is the first of his work I have read. How have I not come across him before? I really enjoyed it. It’s my kind of oddity, quirky and all that.
Yes, the Yeti Left Home is right up my alley. Aaron is a man after my own heart. It reminds me of lots of my favourite supernatural goodness TV series all rolled into one. There are too many to name them all but Sanctuary, Grimm, Haven, Warehouse 13 and I’ll even throw in Eureka to name a few with their oddness, strangeness and let’s not forget the quirkiness and bizarreness.
Wylie Kang isn’t your typical mystical beast. This Yeti loves nothing more than to chill at his cabin by a lake. When a hunter shows up in his neck of the woods Wylie runs and discovers a whole new world for himself and friendships. When Wylie comes across the hunter again in the Big City what will he do?
I hope to see more from Aaron. I will go check out other stories by him.

Little Red is Lois’s retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. It is another fun tale in the Science Folktales series. Children will not only to enjoy reading about Red adventures but will actually learn as they go.
Red sets off to visit Granny and encounters a wolf along the way where the two find plants and flowers and a little bit of scientific learning along the way. Red must use her detective skills to thwart the wolf and make sure Granny is safe.
There is a little science, a little mystery and a twist or two that children 4 – 8 years old will be delighted with this story. The colourful pictures are bright and will pull little eyes and minds in to the story.

Breach of Trust is the eighth book in the thrilling Madeline Dawkins series. I love that Cynthia cleverly weaves several plots into a story keeping the readers and characters on their toes. I also love that Cynthia puts something in the story that makes me laugh even in the midst of hell. I cannot stress enough that these books should be read in order to ensure you get the background of the characters.
Breach of Trust is a page turner that will have you invested in what is going on and will have you on the edge of your seat.
Monte Verde is suddenly not the safe and compassionate assisted living complex for the elderly as meets the eye as Madeline Dawkins and the MDPI team find out.
With poison pen letters, dark secrets, blackmail and a lot of resentment can Madeline solve the mystery before things have deadly consequences?
Not only that but helping a woman with her ugly divorce with a nasty estranged husband brings the past out of hiding for Madeline.

Messenger certainly twists things up as for a Romeo and Juliet retelling. This forbidden love tale is a MM love story set in the stars. It is the second book and another wonderful paranormal story in the Star-Crossed Celestials books. This sweet and steamy contemporary romance tale also has fantasy elements. Make sure you read the first book Watcher first.
It is full of hurt and fear, forbidden love and drama, action and tension, hope and redemption, sorrow and longing.
Messenger is bit of an emotional read and it is so easy to love these celestial beings Jace and Cyrus and feel for them. It’s a bit of a tougher journey for them this time.
Cyrus will not stop until he finds what was stolen from him.
Jace has lost all he ever wanted. Now he doesn’t want to go on without him.
All hell is about to be unleashed. Will they be able to find their way back to each other? Will they break their promise to each other to save a City or will they lose forever?
If you’re a fan of sexy fairy-tale retellings with a twist, then you will love this one as much as the first book.

Undying Light is the first book in The Stella Maris Series and the first book I have read by this author, Aurora Wildey.
The characters interesting and their plights make you invested in their story and the outcome. It is a paranormal fantasy tale that will delight.
Kaela was fighting for her life after a violent attack when a mysterious stranger puts himself in danger to help her. Now she must use her powers to save him but doing so means putting them in danger. They must team together and hide their secrets to keep each other safe. It’s all about trust and that trust will be put to the test when they find that no one is as they seem.
With a mysterious stranger, mystical powers, an immortal, danger, fear and angst and danger closing in there is something for everyone to keep the pages turning in this tale.

Noah’s Not So Super Summer is a sci fi fun adventure story for teens. It is a story of hopes and dreams, of wanting something so badly that nothing will stand in his way. Well that is other than a mutant infestation, his dad, bullies and atomic wedgies.
The story had me laughing at times whilst feeling bad for our MC at others. Expect the unexpected.
Summer for Noah Reagan is not going as he wanted it too. He has dreams and monsters are standing in his way. Being forced to clean up after them and real heroes doing the work to bring them down Noah must find out what is causing the problem.
Will he be able to work it out in time to make it in to the Supers Youth Program like he planned?

The Lone Star Child is the third instalment of The Gods’ Scion series and was an intriguing read. This Young Adult sci-fiish story is full of revenge and hatred, want and fear, action and drama, broken dreams and promises, betrayal and greed, monsters and war, family and relationships. The fantasy world Winnifred has created different and unique as it combines astrology, mythology, magic and more. The story is fast moving
After a millennia of being outcasts, thrown out into space like they were nothing they have had more than a life time to want, a long time to plot, to want revenge, to crush those who imprisoned them. Now their wait is over their wants and hopes of freedom are so close they can taste it. It all pins on one Space Acolyte, Caro. The Gods don’t even know what is coming for them.
Caro is missing and try as they might they can’t find her. What trouble has she gotten herself into? What secrets and lies are keeping the other Acolytes from finding her?
This intriguing story showcases Winnifred’s creativeness. I enjoyed the characters and the world she has created.
I wonder where things continue from here.

Right in Front of You is the first book in the Morris Valley Gang romantic series. I really enjoy Brooke’s stories and was excited to see this new book was out. This is one of my favourites from her. It is easy to fall in love with the characters and the charming small town and the locals.
Brinley Moore comes back to the one place that felt like home Morris Valley. To the friends she left behind. However, she finds more than she bargained for in one tall dark and quiet cowboy. The only thing was coming home was supposed to keep her safe.
Adrian Cook came to the small town to start a new life leaving his past in the past. Unfortunately it is that same past that isn’t quite conducive to relationships. That is until a one Brinley Moore breezes into town and in to his life. The only thing is can he keep her safe?
With good friends, one hot rancher, a stalker and a steamy romance Right in Front of You: Volume One: Brinley & Adrian has everything you need to escape for a few hours with a glass of wine.

French author Ef Deal gives us her debut novel, Esprit de Corpse. It is an original and quirky historical paranormal steampunk tale. This intriguing tale is set in 1840’s France and is full of Ef Deal’s imagination of many unusual and unique marvels. Having been to France it’s easy to imagine the world in which Ef Deal has created. What is really in the underground of the Parisian world.
Jacky loves tinkering anything mechanical is her thing. But when she comes across a mechanical man everything changes. Suddenly she and her sister Angé find themselves trying to unravel the mystery and stop a war.
With wolf shifters, British agents, French spies, not to mention an occult they soon find themselves in danger when things turn dicey.
The plot and subplots keep you on your toes as we journey along with the characters and their exciting world.
If you like steampunk, something a little different and unusual you will definitely like Esprit de Corpse.

Pulling Together is another exciting read from Lois. It is a story that the little ones from 4 to 8 years old will enjoy as they follow along with Lila and her unusual poncho. Lois has many children’s stories that also have something to teach little ones which is what makes he stories good.
Is Grandma crazy or is there more to her words?
Children will indulge their imaginations with the colourful illustrations that help to bring the story to life.
Find out what Lila does and how her poncho helps her in her adventures.

When I saw Other People’s Money by Cynthia was out, I jumped on it because I love this series. Madeline and her adventures always make me laugh in one way or another and my heart pounding and kept me on the edge of my seat. It has been a while since I have read one of her works. This is the seventh thrilling book in the Madeline Dawkins mystery series. Make sure to read these books in order because then you get all the background of the characters and their backstory. Trust me you will love them as well.
Madeline and Mike and their PI agency find themselves embroiled in a trio of cases that intertwine with each other. Three seemingly unrelated cases are suddenly much more than they first seemed. Of course, things never run smoothly when Madeline is involved.
Money always brings out the worst in people and especially when it is not yours. Embezzlement, gold-diggers, a missing bookkeeper, a mystery woman are just some of what you work to untangle along with Madeline and Mike.
While Madeline and her team search for the missing bookkeeper and try to get the skinny on the possible gold-digger, startling connections begin to appear that will leave you following the trail of other people’s money until the very last page.
Other People’s Money is full of secrets and lies, suspense and danger and so much more.
You are gonna love it.

Kelly Covic is a new author to me but that didn’t stop me from digging in to Insomnia. I was very intrigued. A collection of original short stories that will have you looking in the shadows to see what lurks there. Where reality and horror blend into the unbelievable. Where twisted, spooky and creepy have new meanings. Where madness and mayhem reside. It will make you wonder if you need to pinch yourself to see if you are awake or not.
Reading Insomnia was like watching a movie where you put your hands over your eyes but you have to look between your fingers because you have to know what is going on. It’s like being scared to the point where you have to have your child turn on each and every light before you move. It’s like having your heart beat so palpable you think the neighbours can hear it.
But when all is said and done Kelly’s writing style and imagination will draw you in and have you intrigued. Each and every story is short but pack a punch.
If you like something that will make you jump and squirm then get on board the crazy train that is Insomnia.

White Picket Fences is a contemporary fictional story of loss, love and life and the debut book by Kyle. It is a family drama full of regret and sadness. White Picket Fences looks at the dynamics and complexities of family, marriage and one’s place in it all.

It is a story that many will relate to. I think everyone in a marriage at some point feel like they are not appreciated and taken for granted and at times almost invisible. When looking at the person in the mirror is not someone you recognise anymore, and this is what our MC goes through in this story.

There are a lot of emotions in this heartfelt and gripping tale where one person’s actions change all that they know. Where tragedy becomes a heavy burden to bear. Where everything starts to unravel. Where everything you want to keep you push further away.

Can they ever get back to forever? You will have to read it to see what this family goes through.
