Theresa continues to impress me with this original high stake’s series. Soul Redeemed is another unique continuation and the fifth book in the War of Destiny series. Make sure you start with Lost Souls book one in this epic series and work your way through each one as the build on from each other.
Get ready to devour this dark vampiric paranormal fantasy story. The characters are well written have depth and well developed. Theresa’s world building is skilfully built and carefully crafted. The plot is fast-paced and is as gripping as it is engaging.
It is a multilayered tale full of action, tension, intense danger, intrigue, imagination and twist and turns that you will find hard to put this book down. Once again, the vividness allows the reader to enjoy every nuance of Theresa’s storytelling. Soul Redeemed is built a solid foundation that has been skilfully woven into an exciting story.
I am not going to share the details because Theresa’s words need to be taken in like a fine wine to let you draw your own picture through your own imagination.
You don’t want to miss out on this epic series.

People Safari is a fun story told by animals and their perspective of human life. It will make you laugh out loud at their perusals.
It is easy to dive into the story with the bright and colourful illustrations by Pandu Permana that bring Feather Chelle’s words to life.
Children between the ages of 5 – 10 years and even adults will delight in this refreshing tale where a deer family and their raccoon guide take an up close and personal look into scientific behaviours of the humankind.
An excellent book for special occasions.

In this adventure we see Tally as she finds her way into a world of Japanese history. It is the third book in the Tally and the Angel series. The family story is aimed for tweens those between the ages of 9 – 13 years.
This book is a paranormal fantasy tale, with plenty of action, mystery, danger, drama, suspense, long-buried curse, challenges, mythical beings and much more.
Tally is on to the next adventure and a beautiful backdrop of Japan in a race against time. Where a ghostly queen, a mysterious Japanese Angel, samurai warriors and a cursed drum all play a part in Tally’s new journey. It is a story of bravery, friendship, and travel. Tally, and her offsider Jopheil once again have their work cut out for them.
Eleanor makes it easy to read and very easy to imagine the world she has created.
I would highly recommend this book, and this series, to anyone who enjoys reading tweens adventure books.

The Promised Plan is a few very short stories and poems by Sharon Hughson. It is an intriguing and heartfelt journey through death and loss, relationships. It’s every mothers wish for all her children to get along but being a realist you know that with very different personalities that it is not always the case.
One mother’s dying wish and last-ditch effort to reunite her family doesn’t go ahead as planned when her time comes up.
There is heartache and heartbreak, pain and sorrow, angst and hope, guilt and grief, redemption and reconciliation, secrets and lies, forgiveness.
Losing a mother will either make or break sibling relationships and often comes with the guilt of things left unsaid, things you wished you had done and the wish for things to be better.
Will they follow through and make one woman ’s final wish come together, or will the secrets and guilt keep them from mending boundaries?
The story is well written, and Sharon makes the characters feel real. It is easy to get lost in the story and feel their emotions.
Travel along with three women who struggle to open themselves up and regain what once was. You won’t be disappointed.

Concert Hall Hit is a fun small-town cosy mystery cleverly woven together by J.C. Kenney. It is the second book in the A Darcy Gaughan Mystery books. The vivid image that his words inspire makes it easy to imagine the town that is front and centre, Marysburg, Indiana.
I have not read anything by JC before and I really enjoyed it. I mean who doesn’t love a gumshoe detective tale and a charming small town full of entertaining characters.
With a murder, a music legend, a super sleuth and lots of twists and turns you can’t go wrong.
Darcy love music and moves to the beat of her own drum. Having a music legend meet and greet at her record store is more than she thought it would be. Unfortunately, when things go wrong, Darcy needs to get on the trail of a murderer to prove she is not the killer.
I am off to see what other work JC has to offer.

The colourful pictures will delight young readers as they follow along with Jacqueline and learn about the beans and how to help everyone in need.
Another magical twisty fairy tale from Lois is just what you need for a birthday, special occasion or just because.

There are many, many great stories but I am only going to review a couple.
Naomi Valkyries The Alien & The Crime Boss is a MM alien mafia romance tale. – Leilphun is alone and on the run and walking into a brand-new world was safer than staying. Although Earth welcome wagon is not what he expected. Will his rescuer be his ruin or his salvation?

Kasper wants to take over and watching the war means he is on track he just must wait it out. What he didn’t count on was the man he found in the ravine. What he didn’t know was his actions had changed his life.
Well worth the read.

Tori Kelletts The Chosen – I have fallen in love with the characters in this book. Mia Knew what her life was meant to be but she had no hope against some of the women chosen. One foiled assassination attempt and her life has forever changed.

I enjoyed Tori’s book and am now off to read more of her work. I certainly hope there is more of these wonderful characters in future books.

Truly Unfortunate is a wonderfully dark paranormal thriller and is the first book in the Welcome to Knollville series. I love a good supernatural story and this superb book definitely delivers on all fronts and certainly does not disappoint. I enjoy reading refreshing and original concepts by C.A and that you never know where she will take you. C.A. King is one of my favourite authors.
The story and plot is well thought out and comes at your thick and fast and you will find yourself cursing because it will be over far too fast. I liked that the story was unpredictable and I love a good guessing game when it comes to books.
This imaginative, creative, unique and well written story has mystery, suspense, action, drama, and psychological elements that will keep you on your toes.
I don’t want to give anything away as you need to discover this tale all on your own. Prepare to be surprised.
I am looking forward to reading the other books in what promises to be dark and intriguing stories in this series.

Punk is the sixth gripping book in the Popov Bratva series. It is a steamy Mafia age gap older woman/younger man tale. I am addicted to Leslie Georgeson stories and this genre she does so well. They are dark and twisted with compelling and complex characters.
The Popov Bratva series has everything you could want and then some. There is intrigue, suspense, passion, angst, lies, deceit, secrets, betrayal, kidnapping, cheating, steam, turmoil, revenge, action, danger and violence.
What a rollercoaster ride Punk is. It is a twisted and dark Mafia story that will have you are on the edge of your seat.
Efrem finally gets his story. He is a tortured soul with dark secrets. He lives in the dark earning his signature name PUNK. Hoping to make up for his dark and sordid past.
She is suffering through a divorce and wants nothing but a good life for her daughter. There is one thing she wants just as much and that is to find the man, she believes destroyed her family.
The chemistry is off the charts between these two, and there is an instant connection, but she has reservations due to the 10-year age gap. All he must do is convince her they are right for each other regardless of a number.
Make sure you read these epic books in order you will not be disappointed.

Stars Like Gasoline is my first introduction to Jessika and her unique way of telling a story. I have never read anything by this author before and I was delightfully surprised. She has cleverly orchestrated a cast of well-developed characters in a tale that will have you checking dark corners as the chills as thrills intensify your senses.
What makes Stars Like Gasoline so encompassing is that it has multi-faceted complex plots and storylines. They are carefully woven together to give us the right amount of mystery, intrigue, suspense and some paranormal elements. The characters are just as equally complex and fully realised and delightful.
Ghostly encounters, missing artists, an international art scandal, romance, and a stalker and so much more
Celia loves her job is an art curator for a museum where she suddenly finds herself thrust into the underbelly of fine art and the art world. It is interesting to read about each painting and piece of sculpture as Jessika’s passion and vivid descriptions brings them to life and makes it hard to believe they aren’t real.
I love to watch the British TV show Fake Or Fortune where owners find out if the piece of art they have procured is a real piece by the artist or a fake. It made this story much more relatable and real.
The story is beautifully written despite the spine-tingling ghostly encounters that haunt Celia.
leaves us feeling as if the characters will invite us into their home for fine wine, good conversation and a few extra secrets after turning the last page.
If you love a good mystery, ghosts, with a sweet romantic tale then you will love Stars Like Gasoline.

Two wounded soul’s one fake relationship……
Hero Complex is the third book in Isobel’s contemporary romance series Bluestone. It is a fun read that will have you laughing at times. I think Bluestone may just be a place to be. I really enjoy Isobel’s simplistic way of storytelling. It makes it easy to fall into the story and lose yourself for a while.
Ivy needs a fiancée, and he is up to the challenge, but his hero complex is getting on her last nerve. She is perfectly capable of looking out for herself.
Ace is battle weary and scared in more ways than one. He certainly is not good enough for his fake fiancée. It’s in his nature to protect.
Will they be able to pull of the relationship of a lifetime or will hearts be further broken?
This small-town romance has something for everyone who loves a romance with sexy cowgirls and cowboys.
I fell in love with Ivy and Ace as much as I did their world of wide-open spaces.
I look forward to reading more from Isobel.

I love me a good MC story and the protective alpha men the WAR BROTHERS MC drew me in. Reaper is the first book in the series, and it is a good start. I wish the story was longer. It is a short read, but I wanted more.
It’s nice to see another Australian author coming into their own. This is the first book I have read by Bianca, and I am ready to dive in to the second book in this series as I fell in love with these men. Hell, I know these men.
Reaper the pres of the War Brother’s MC is loving Ava from afar, from the moment she needed his protection she became his but their lives are complicated. Reaper and Ava’s story is an emotional one. Their romance is a slow burn, and I would have liked it to be a bit rawer and grittier with more steam and more hotness.
I have is that I also felt like we missed out on so much more of Elena and Axle’s story.
I loved the brothers of the MC their comradery, the respect, the love and humorous side of them. They cracked me up as much as they melted my heart.
I am now off to read the second book. I can’t wait to see where Bianca takes these bikers and their stories.

Cecily in the City by Krysten Lindsay Hager is a sweet YA romance that will delight YA readers. It is a quick read with teenage drama and angst, anxiety, jealousy and deep-seated insecurities and misunderstandings. As I said before Krysten is known for her YA romances and it is what she does best.
The story is well written and flows well that will keep her younger readers engaged.
Cecily has two passions than man she loves and acting. Unfortunately, she learns that it is a cutthroat business and the lies, the images and innuendos will either break you or make you. Trying to deal with the fame and dating someone famous maybe harder than she ever imagined. Once again jealousy and uncertainties make for a precarious relationship.
You shouldn’t believe everything you read in this business.
Mind games others play when they don’t get what they want are a dangerous road to traverse. There are characters that you can’t help but like and then there are those who you want to take down a peg or two.

My favourite quote from the book. “Don’t go alpha-male-diva on me.”
Three Women in November is a wonderful romantic tale based on a true story. It is a very emotional and funny read and yet it is very confronting as everything is put on the line for the name of love. Jim is a brave man to turn his life into a story.
I loved that the story was set in Australia. It made it seem more real as it’s easy to visualise the places.
It is a unique and raw look into one man Leo and three very successful women on a search for love. It was interesting to read as it was told in the male perspective. The characters are real, complex, have heaps of baggage and make plenty of mistakes.
The challenge, the pain, the joy, the drama and the humour as we follow along on this journey.
Leo is a man who knows what he wants. He knows the world would not give him anything but a soul mate. Unfortunately, life is not that simplistic. The road to love is not paved with gold.
I look forward to Leo’s next romantic adventure in, Kissing Scars.

The Guardian of Whispers is the first fun and engaging book in The Reeds of West Hills a kid’s fantasy series. It is a little Harry Potteresque and is aimed at teens aged 9 to 12 years. Having said that I am sure that a YA audience will enjoy it to. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I enjoyed the tale.
This magical tale is one of growth and confidence, siblings, family and friendships.
Follow along as we join ten-year-old twins as they learn to rely on each other and new friends as they are sent to West Hills School for the Perceptually Gifted after gaining special abilities. However not everything is smooth sailing. Abilities comes with consequences and the boys much learn how to navigate them.
When the Guardian of Whispers goes missing it is up to one of them to clear the others name. With newfound friends they work together to find the real thief and save the day.
If you love Percy Jackson and other magical tales, then you will enjoy this one.

A Monster for Meg is 34 pages of monster goodness. It is part of Lois’s Giants and Monsters series. It is aimed at children aged 4 – 8 years. The bright and colourful illustrations by Nicolas Milano help move the story along.
What others see as a monster Meg sees as anything but. Being blind puts a whole new spin on what you see without sight. One thing is for sure and that is the love of sisters and hugs.
Lois gives her readers an insight into a world so different from someone with sight and that is done lovingly through pictures and words.

Stay For Me is the fifth book in the Balefire series although it can be read as a standalone. The series focus’ on each member of the band Balefire and this is Garrett and Olivia’s story. It is an erotic rock romance story.

The story is told in dual POV. I had mixed feelings about Garrett but he is shed in a whole new light in his story. Don’t get me wrong there are still moments when I want to smack him.

Garrett is hoping for a second chance after the biggest mistake he made 10 years ago.

Being in need means taking on the biggest rock band in the industry. Only along with them comes their manager the one who left me behind. Has the man changed and can he be trusted?

Sparks fly in this sexy and hot, steamy and seductive, passionate and intense tale.

I can’t wait for more.

Bravery comes in all shapes and sizes you just have to find it.
Brave Kids, is a collaboration of short stories written by 24 authors from all over the world. Of course, this would not come about if it wasn’t for the wonderful storyteller & Illustrator K.J. Kaschula.
Each author used their imagination, hopes and dreams to get them to where they are today, and each share a short story to encourage the same in others.
It is aimed for kids from 6 – 12 years and it is hoped that each story will inspire children to go after their heart’s desires. To believe they are special and can do and become whatever they are meant to be. To be a beacon of courage.
Each story is very special I liked them all but two stood out for me are:
Janice Pratt’s story Amaleigha Tames a Bully: Kindness Can Change a Hard Heart. Amaleigha is one clever girl and is passionate and she wants to share it with others. There is a message here and it is not just for kids. Adults could use it too.
Susan Ernst’s story Chann is Called to the Principal’s Office melted my heart with her wonderful story which she dedicated to the children of Cambodia.

I have always enjoyed Courtney’s stories I like that they are different. The Serpent and the Firefly is an urban fantasy story that has non-stop action. Action packed all the way through. The premise is interesting with a cast of supernatural characters including demons, werewolves, angels, fae, shifters and more.
The Serpent and the Firefly is a fun read and has magic, prophecy, the first king of hell, scheming brothers, a quest where good and evil meet and it wouldn’t be complete without a twist.
Jade finds herself sucked into a world she had no idea existed. Her life is turned upside down when she finds that there are things that lurk in the shadows and go bump in the night. Her whole life has been a lie. Things change when she meets Baal.
Baal is a ruthless demon and a liar and will let nothing stand in his way. Beware his forked tongue. He is on a mission to find a key, free his sister and take back his throne and kill the prophesised one. However things change when he meets Jade.
When all is said and done who will be the victor in the fight over earth and it’s those who live there?

Beware this story has elements that my cause triggers for some.
Raising Elle is a second chance western romance story. It is the first book in the Sweet Valley Series that promises to be a great reads. With a lot of hard themes being addressed it is sometimes tough going to get through all at once. I had to walk away and come back at times. It is an emotional read that is full of pain and suffering and heartbreak and heartache that is palpable.
I fell in love with the characters Elle and Blake who have so much depth to them that you just want to pick them up and make it all better for them. They each have their own torment and suffering.
Elle returns to her hometown to heal and start her life over. Not realising the affect her leaving had on her childhood sweetheart she offers a chance to heal his soul. It is a chance for new beginnings and finally finding peace.
I am not going to share any more you need to read it for yourself. I mean who doesn’t love a good cowboy story.
Bring on the next book!

I love a Dark Paranormal Romance tale and Sinister Styx certainly delivers on that. Corpse Pixie is another original and captivating read by Sinister. It is a quick short read. Being such a great read makes me wish it was longer but it packs so much in to a punch as it is. I don’t know where Sinisters stories come from but I love the uniqueness of them making for delightfully refreshing reads.
This cleverly woven tale has a plot that is well thought out and a narrative that draws you in.
Of course the story would not be complete without things that go bump in the night like zombies, witches, fae, hunters and demons and much more.
Leaving the ending open makes way for some more delicious darkness to come. I can’t wait.
If you are a Dark Paranormal lover then I highly recommended reading any of Sinister Styx’s work. There is no way you will be disappointed.
No spoilers here because the story is so short you will have to read it to find out what happens.

Afflicted Love is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart Series. I have read a lot of books by Autumn and there is not one that I have not liked. This is an M/M romance story that is full of emotions. It is raw and steamy and sexy as hell.
I fell in love with these gorgeous characters. They both have tumultuous pasts and each are broken in their own way.
This book tells the story of betrayal, heartbreak and love. With passion and lust, desires and longing, betrayal and pain, and secrets that may just tear them apart it makes for a compelling read. It will captivate you from the start to finish.
The man he loves is can’t look at him without remembering the horrific events that cause him so much pain. But leaving is not an option.

Fiddle and Fire is a historical MMF romance tale. Never having read anything by this author before I was interested to see what she brought to the table. Only to realise that this is the second book in the series. I wished I read the first book first. I will be going back to read it.
I love a good ménage but alas it was a little lacking in that department. I felt a little detached from the story and skipped my way through a lot of it. The narrative kept on changing which slowed me down as I had to reread some of it to realise who was speaking.
The historical information is interesting and there is some humour to be found.
Suzette de Massey has caught the eye of two best friends. Together they make a happy threesome. Unfortunately her past comes back to haunt her but everyone she cares for is in danger.
All in all it is not a bad read and if you like historical romance with MMF characters as the lead then give this one a go.

Cabin Eight is the third book in The Millersville Series which is full of lies and deceit, suspense and danger in this psychological thriller with sci fi elements.
The characters are well developed, and the story will have you on the edge of your seat. Tensions are palpable as our MC finds herself facing her greatest fears……
Seeking solace at a mysterious remote resort she is faced with much more than she thought she could ever find herself in. Miranda has no sense of self-preservation. Curiosity definitely killed the cat and is she next?
With horrors and dangers, dark conspiracies, eerie games of life and death and surprising twists they make for an interesting read.
It’s a fast-paced crime thriller where the pages turn because you want to know what happens and how it ends but you will need to grab a copy yourself to discover what happens.
I am looking forward to seeing what Susan does next.

A Curse of Ash and Iron is a YA Historical Fantasy tale set in Philadelphia in 1876. It is also a charming Cinderella adaptation with elements of Steampunk. It is a mixture of scientific inventions, machines and magic.
Christine’s passion of childhood stories shines through in the narrative of this fairy tale. She has woven historical facts with fantasy and romance. I nearly gave up as I found it hard to get into as the beginning is very slow but after a while it picked up, so I stuck with it.
The story is told from different POVs which everyone knows I love because you get an in-depth look at the characters. However, I found it hard to fully connect with the characters. The “insta-love” between Ellie and Hamilton was not quite believable but the story is a fantasy.
There is a little twist at the end and the author provides extra details on what she researched and what is historical fact which is quite interesting.
I would recommend this adaptation to anyone who likes retellings.

Where Fire Meets Flame is a fun contemporary romance. It is the first book in Elena’s Yours From The Ashes which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, it is a short, but it is a sweet, sexy and steamy read. It is filled with action, a spot or two of danger, a little suspense and a dash of tension. There is humour within a world where vengence keeps getting in the way.
I enjoyed the amazing characters and the world that Elena created.
Riley Scott is a private detective and one feisty redhead who is not looking for a relationship the reinforced steel around her heart says so. That is until she keeps crossing paths with one sexy man.
Tristan finds himself coming to the rescue of one independent and sassy woman who finds herself in the heat of things more often than not. She doesn’t know it but one look in those eyes and he was a goner.
Can he keep her safe?
It is sizzling, hot and scorching with flying sparks in more than one way. If you are not careful you will caught in the fire.

I like that Amabel doesn’t just write one genre. I have not read many books by this author but what I have read I have liked. Last King is an engaging Romantasy (aka Romantic Fantasy) where Amabel pairs a strong romantic subplot with a Fantasy.
I was excited to see what the Last King was all about. It is the first exciting FAE fantasy book in the Legacy of Riverfall series. Amabel has cleverly woven many delicate threads to give us the readers a tale with lots of action and drama, epic danger and suffering, secrets and lies and so much more. There is a cast of many in this magical world where there is fae, kings, dragons, lethal predators, monsters, a thief, mystical disease and magic.
This Romantasy is a slow burn in the romance department when everything else is chaos. I can see it will be so easy to become addicted to this series. The vivid storyline is unique and interesting keeps the pages turning.
Maren has been underestimated and shoved aside all her life she has only ever wanted to go wherever and do whatever she wants but she is stuck. When a stranger offers to help her with the one thing that may save her sister, she decides to take him up on his offer no matter what dangers and monsters are lurking.
You are going to enjoy this book. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Foxy Tails is an original MM fantasy romance tale with a cast of colourful characters. There are demons, foxes, healers, magic, murder and vengeance just to keep things interesting.
Huli has had a hard and pain filled life and is being hunted. He meets up with Xiao who is seeking vengeance against his family. Together with his best friend and one very funny dog a man’s best friend Ye Ying they set off on a quest to reveal truths.
It is filled with loss and hope, magic and danger, suspense and tension, humour and action within a world where nothing is what it seems.
I do feel a bit gipped in the romance department though I thought the romance was slowly building toward something explosive, but I was wrong. Foxy Tails actually feels like it is more aimed at a younger audience.
I am wondering if this is a standalone or the first book in a new series. It kind of felt unfinished.

Healing Kiss is a new adult paranormal story. Amanda’s writing style flowed well and was an enjoyable and easy to read. The concept is original and the plot is well laid out.
There is magical and supernatural elements with some humour, fear, danger, lots of drama, thick desperation and palpable tensions running at an all-time high. This suspense tale is fast paced and enjoyable and is told in the third person narrative.
The lead characters Lillian and Tristian are interesting and the attraction is fast and hard.
Lillian is a nurse with a pure gift she heals the sick by taking energy from healthy people. She is in hiding as she is being chased by an underground group called Kinetica. They want Lillian for their own gain and will stop at nothing to get what they want. She will do whatever it takes to save her sister.
Tristian is a man after one special woman and he is determined to discover her secrets no matter the cost.
The story which took me a little time to get into as I enjoy a story told in multiple POV as you get to see inside the characters better.

I wonder if Hannah and Brian will get their own story.
