I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and having read book one I was keen to be back with the heroine of the story, Arabella. As the first ever technomancer in a long line of gifted witches Arabella is used to being a disappointment to her family, but she has joined the ‘Sisterhood of Witches’. Arabella has a lot to prove and wants to succeed at her first assignment, although the task has already claimed two lives. She must find the root cause of the famine sweeping through Ireland whilst knowing that both her future and even her life are at risk. The wonderful world building really brought the setting to life making me feel immersed in the story. The storyline is exciting and had me gripped from the start, and the plot twists kept me guessing. I loved Arabella even more in this second book in the series, as her character has developed as she’s grown into her powers. An enjoyable and engaging read, which kept me hooked.

I really enjoyed all three exciting and fast paced novels in this boxset and ‘binge read’ them all, as I was hooked from book one. Set in the ‘MultiVerse’ of multiple worlds scattered through both space and time this sci-fi/fantasy series took me on an immersive adventure. The world building is so well done that I felt as though I was on each world, and through the descriptive writing the sights, sounds and smells all came alive. Book one, begins with a mysterious voice which is heard in the mind of a selection of inhabitants, across the multiple worlds within the MultiVerse of space and time. There are a lot of different characters introduced from the various worlds, each with their own intriguing backstories.
I liked how the stories are told from each characters point of view, and all the characters are both likeable and relatable, which made me feel engaged with them. I felt as though I was there along side the adventurers throughout the three full sized novels. The novels do have multiple characters and it is hard to keep track of them all at times, however, the list of characters at the beginning of the books is a great idea and really helps. I feel that you do not have to be familiar with the MultiVerse genre to enjoy this boxset, as each novel has an exciting storyline which had me gripped, and introduces fabulously original characters. I recommend this series of enjoyable, exciting and engaging novels, which make up this boxset.

This contemporary romantic suspense story had me gripped from start to finish. Tia is a women on the run from an abusive ex boyfriend, her real name is Sofia. Tia is in hiding and not looking forward to spending the holidays on her own, when she receives an anonymous text message. Having stayed away from men, and especially cops she is surprised when she is fascinated by Theo, a detective, who is determined to find out the truth surrounding her. Theo, is recovering from a serious wound but the more he learns about Tia/Sofia he wants to help her. He is surprised when he feels the need to protect her, not just because she’s in danger but because she is his, and he protects what is his. The storyline had plenty of romance, drama and suspense to keep me happily turning the pages, and the plot twists kept me guessing until the last page. I felt engaged with the characters, especially Sophia and Theo and enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. Their chemistry really came across in the writing, and the author brought both them and the setting to life with her descriptive narrative. This is a new author to me, and I look forward to reading more of her novels.

This contemporary romance took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, and had me hooked from start to finish. Former Army sergeant Gina Fisher was badly burned from a roadside bomb two years ago, but is now finally ready to live her life again. She now finds inner peace by sewing and crafting and teaches children online, but she is keeping herself apart from everyone but her sisters. When she meets Arson inspector Bryce Cambridge she can not deny their chemistry but she is quick to shoot him down. However, Bryce won’t give up and soon he has Gina lowering the walls she’s built around her heart. As their relationship develops Bryce wants to know all of Gina, but she’s reluctant to show him her physical wounds from burns and shrapnel, let alone her emotional wounds. The chemistry between Gina and Bryce literally sizzles and their connection really comes across in the narrative. They are both likeable and relatable characters who I felt engaged with and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their well deserved HEA.

This enjoyable and engaging sci-fi adventure story had me hooked from the very beginning. When Thomas sets out on a familiar hike that he has done many times before, he could never imagine how his world was going to change. As Thomas starts his hike he passes a vehicle in the parking lot with a handwritten note on the dashboard saying, Not Abandoned, he thinks nothing of this, until he reaches the end of his hike, only to discover the view is not what he expected. “What would you do if you found yourself on or in another world?”, “Do you have the skills and knowledge needed to survive or to make sense of what you see?”, these are the questions Thomas is suddenly faced with, but he’s not on his own. The intriguing and exciting storyline had plenty of plot twists, as the two adventurers had to use their physical fitness and combined knowledge to get them through all the challenges that they faced. The characters are well defined and Thomas is a likeable and relatable main character, and I felt that I was alongside him on his journey. The descriptive narrative really brought the setting vividly to life and I felt completely immersed in the story. A great read, which I recommend.

This fairly quick read is full of action, drama, suspense and of course romance, everything I expect in a story by this author. I liked the main character, Lydia and felt she was likeable and relatable. When Lydia’s boyfriend Cam is kidnapped by Efrain she does not hesitate to get him back, even though it means going into the difficult terrain of the jungle, dodging bullets and fighting the bad guys. In order to get Cam back Lydia must deliver a legendary artefact, known as ‘Theodore’s Ring’, which is worth millions, to Efrain. To complicate things further, she is embarking on her dangerous journey into the Casanu jungle with her ex-lover, Sullivan, who is determined to get Lydia back, whatever the cost! This is a fast paced read with an exciting storyline and plenty of plot twists, all of which had me hooked from start to finish. The characters and the setting are brought to life by the descriptive narrative and I felt fully immersed in the story. An enjoyable and engaging read.

This romantic paranormal novel was full of suspense which had me hooked from start to finish. The novel is book five in the series and can be read as a standalone story, however, the characters do crossover. Having been introduced to the main characters in a previous book, I enjoyed the continuation of Miles and Bella’s story. The storyline is definitely unique with a mix of romance, drama, suspense, magic, paranormal aspects and added magical realism elements, but it all makes for an enjoyable and engaging read. Bella and Miles Moore are great characters with plenty of chemistry. Miles is determined to make his dreams of having a music empire a reality but his wife, Bella is concerned that business is taking over family life. Bella also fears that the extremely competitive music industry along with the growing feud with their competitors will lead to bloodshed. The couple are still trying to keep their secrets from being revealed, and also discover that their shared success is endangering not just them but those they love. The author really does merge genres well and vividly brings the setting and characters to life with her descriptive narrative. This is a fast paced read, with an exciting plot that kept me turning the pages late until the night!

I was excited to read this third and final book in the ‘Rebecca Steele’ series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great being back with the wonderful Becky and to be fully immersed in her world again. I would recommend reading the previous books in the series, not just because they are a fab read, but because this continues her story. As usual I felt engaged with Becky who is such a likeable and relatable strong main character, and it was nice that her daughter Cassie took a more prominent part in the storyline. Although Becky is enjoying her life on the country music stage, when she faces some adverse conditions, once again she needs her strength, resolve, attitude and faith to see her through. As well as her old friends turning up in the story the author also keeps things interesting with some new faces. The exciting storyline and plot twists kept me hooked from start to finish and I just couldn’t stop reading. I’m disappointed that this is the last book in the series and I will miss Rebecca Steele, but this was definitely a good send off for her.

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series I was excited to read this novel and was not disappointed. This gripping historical novel with a time travelling twist had me hooked from start to finish, and I loved being back with main characters, Will and Maggie. The couple are a week away from their wedding when they find Johnnie Hetherington’s dead body tied to a tree on their land. Sergeant Carnaby questions Will and his family about his murder. Then just after the wedding the Armstrong clan attack, and Geordie is determined to rescue his niece from the Foster clan, even though Maggie and Will are in love.
Will tells Dylan to take Maggie to safety, even if that means her returning to the twentieth century. However, with the amulet stone disintegrating Maggie and Will could be separated forever, stuck in different time periods. As usual the author was able to bring both the settings and time periods vividly to life with her descriptive narrative and accurate historical details. The exciting and fast paced storyline flows well and the plot twists ensured I could not put this book down. I would recommend reading this series in order. Overall, this was an engaging and immersive novel and I really hope that there will be a fourth one.

This is an enjoyable and engaging novel which had me gripped from start to finish. This historical novel is centred around Lizbeth Gordon, who returns to her childhood home following her husband’s death. Wanting peace and quiet Lizbeth spends her days at her family’s cottage, however when her elderly aunt tells her about some troubling family secrets, she can not help but look into her family’s past. Lizbeth wants to discover the truth behind the rumours, that include, a blockade runner who was hunted as a traitor after the fall of Charleston. Although Lizbeth’s research draws a blank, her interest is renewed when she takes a job at an international school in Rio de Janeiro.
Here she meets a multiethnic descendant of Confederate exiles, who have the Gordon surname, and are able to show Lizbeth some nineteenth-century documents, including letters and a diary. She hopes that her findings will result in a family reconciliation and ultimately healing. This is a wonderfully written novel with a strong, likeable and relatable main character in Lizbeth. The descriptive narrative brought the settings vividly to life making me feel immersed in the story. The historical details added to the sense of the era and show that the novel is well researched. The storyline was intriguing and the exciting plot kept me happily turning the pages, as I could not put this book down.

This was an exciting and action packed page turner YA novel, which had me hooked from start to finish. Set during an apocalypse, the author does a wonderful job of world building, and makes living during an apocalypse come to life. The vivid setting made me feel immersed in the story and I felt engaged with the unique characters, especially with the main heroine of the story, Kella O’Malley. She is seventeen and is a likeable and relatable young lady who brings the story together. Along with her brother, Kella has joined a group of young people to take precious CDC data north along the Appalachian Trail.
A pandemic has made humans mutate into feral cannibals, and no one knows what caused this or how fast the mutation spreads. Therefore the survivors must hike as fast as they can and stay ahead of the “Hyenas”. All this and it was supposed to be Kella’s spring break. Kella, who suffers from severe caffeine withdrawal, from a shortage of coffee, writes in her shelter logbook, and her entries although dark are lighthearted and witty. The storyline is intriguing and original and the plot kept me happily turning the pages. An enjoyable YA novel which I recommend to adults as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest book in this series of paranormal romantic comedies. It can be read as a standalone story, however, I recommend reading the previous books as they are a fun read. This story is a lighthearted, funny romance featuring ‘supes’, with an enemies to lovers theme. Succubus Katrina is trying to ignore her demonic urges so that Satan will eventually forget about her, and then she will be free, this means no sex! Katrina spends her time helping the ‘supes’ of New Orleans with their dating by introducing, ‘Swipe Right to Bite’, “the best and only hook-up app for the supernatural”. Then Gabe, an insufferable incubus turns up in Big Easy and ruins Katrina’s plans. Although Katrina tries to get rid of Gabe, she can not deny their instant attraction, and Gabe, feeling the same, is not going to leave easily. I loved the characters, as usual they are unique, likeable and relatable, making me feel engaged in their stories. The chemistry between Katrina and Gabe really came across in the story and led to some steamy scenes, eventually! As usual the descriptive narrative really brought the supernatural setting to life and I felt fully immersed in Big Easy. The great world building, intriguing characters and the funny, romantic storyline all made this a page turner which I definitely recommend.

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series I was looking forward to this novel and I was not disappointed. It was nice to be back in the small town of Parker and with the group of friends who live there. This was Colleen “CC” Chandler‘s story, having always lived in her small home town, working as a hair stylist, her unstable upbringing had left her lacking in confidence. When Brant Billings accepts a job in Parker, Oklahoma as a nurse practitioner at the towns clinic his plan is to only stay for three years, to earn enough to pay back his student loans. Being raised as a foster kid he’s used to moving on, however, that was before he met CC, the only problem was she seemed to be avoiding him. Meanwhile, CC feels that she is ‘only’ a hairdresser and thinking that Brant is much smarter than her and will only be around for a short time, she try’s to ignore the instant attraction she has for him and avoids him. Brant and CC are brought together when CC’s friends buy her a date with Brant at the towns eligible bachelor auction. I was cheering the couple on, hoping they would be able to overcome their pasts and get the HEA they both deserved. I loved CC and Brant and how their relationship developed over time. The chemistry between them really came across in the writing. As usual, the setting came alive by the descriptive narrative and I felt immersed in small town living, in Parker. I enjoyed ‘catching up’ with characters from the previous novels, however, it can be read as a standalone story. An enjoyable and engaging read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderfully written historical novel set in Poland during the early 17th-century. This is the first book in, ‘The Winged Warrior Series’ featuring Jacek Dąbrowski, a young Polish lieutenant in the Hussar’s, an elite cavalry unit, who is determined to protect his country. In 1610, in Muscovy, Jacek just wants to be recognised for his valour but instead he has earned the animosity of his Captain. He is also hoping that his recent promotion will help him secure his own lands. However, when Jacek rescues a young woman and her brother from being slaughtered, the consequences are grave. Having determined that Oliwia and her brother have no family and are not Russian enemies he escorts them back to the castle in his homeland. Meanwhile, the rivalry with his Captain grows and becomes more dangerous.
Jacek has always put his duty as a Hussar first, but that was before he met Oliwia, now he just hopes that he can survive the hidden schemes and keep her safe. This was a real page turner, with an enjoyable and exciting storyline, plenty of action, vivid combat scenes, and of course romance. I was hooked from page one and the plot twists kept me guessing until the cliff hanger ending! The descriptive narrative really brought both the era and the setting to life and the historical details made me feel as though I was back in the 17th-century. The author has obviously done her research and knows the era well, I learnt about the Hussars and a part of history I knew little about whilst still feeling fully immersed in the story. The fast paced narrative and engaging storyline kept me happily turning the pages and I look forward to reading the second novel and continuing with Jacek and Oliwia‘s story.

This was a captivating and gripping psychological thriller which had me hooked from start to finish. The dark storyline had me intrigued from the beginning and the plot twists and turns kept me guessing until the very last page. This was a real page turner of a novel which had me reading well into the night, as I just couldn’t put the book down. The wonderfully written narrative made the characters and the setting come vividly alive, making me feel completely immersed in the story. I felt especially engaged with the main character, Aria and she really brought the whole story together for me. This was an exciting read with an original storyline, which stayed with me long after I had finished it.

This is a wonderfully written and original novel with a unique and intriguing storyline, which caught my attention and held it from start to finish. Sixteen year old Alyse died and found herself in ‘limbo’. In this story ‘limbo’ is literally a ghost town, whose residents are all deceased. Being sixteen she feels she has nothing in common with any of the other occupants in the afterlife she has found herself in. Feeling lonely and isolated she decides to throw a neighbourhood block party. Whilst planning this party she gets to know the other people better and a series of revelations about both herself and the others, lead her to realise things she did not learn whilst alive. Alyse also discovers more about herself and by the end of the story is happier and wiser. This is definitely an odd read but one that I could not put down. The descriptive narrative really brought ‘limbo’ vividly alive, making me feel immersed in the story. However, it was the strange mix of quirky characters that really made the story for me. Each character had their own backstory and you got little glimpses into their lives before they died. Although you are not told why any of them are in ‘limbo’, you do get some clues in their backstories. Alyse was a great main character who was both likeable and relatable. An engaging read which left me with many questions, and I was left thinking about the storyline long after I had finished the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming historical Christmas romance and was hooked from start to finish. This was a wonderfully written western romance which was full of the Christmas spirit, full of hope, humour, warmth and of course love. Following the death of her parents Cora Lee Schuster signs up to become a mail-order bride and has to travel across the country to the newly established town of Holiday, in Oregon. However, when she arrives she is met by her future father-in-law rather than her betrothed, and it soon becomes clear that he has no intention of marrying her. Cora is taken to the family ranch where she meets Jace Coleman, her betrothed’s brother. Jace loves trains and works as an engineer driving the Holiday Express line’s new engine, named Hope. When Cora arrives at his family’s ranch to marry his brother, Jace is suspicious and wonders if his father is matchmaking. As Cora and Jace spend time together, Jace finds it increasingly difficult not to fall for his brothers fiancé. Whilst Cora wishes she was Jace’s mail-order bride and not his brothers. This was an enjoyable and engaging read and I found myself happily turning the pages, completely immersed in the town of Holiday and it’s residents. The author really made both the era and the setting come alive through her descriptive narrative and all the small historical details. I fell in love with the likeable and relatable characters and was just hoping that Cora and Jace would get their HEA. This is the first in a series of holiday romances and I look forward to reading the rest of the series this festive season.

Having enjoyed the previous books in this series I was looking forward to being back with our heroine Eve Sawyer, and I was not disappointed. In this story journalism student Eve is back at college after an eventful summer break. However, she is soon back to investigating a mystery when she’s asked to find a missing classmate by their mum, and when Eve discovers that her boyfriend is also missing she can’t help but investigate further. Along with two friends and her journalism professor Eve launches a publicity campaign hoping to attract attention. With limited evidence, a ticking clock, thugs and dark secrets Eve faces a dangerous struggle to bring both of the missing people back alive. Like the authors previous cozy mysteries this is an exciting and fast paced read which had me hooked from page one. The plot twists kept me guessing until the end, and I was completely immersed in the story due to the authors descriptive narrative. Eve is a great main character who really brings the story together and I enjoyed investigating along with her. Although part of a series this can be read as a standalone story, but personally I would recommend reading the other books first for more enjoyment. An engaging read which kept me happily turning the pages, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I was gripped from start to finish by this exciting and engaging romantic suspense novel. The main characters were well developed and realistic and the chemistry between the two of them came across in the writing. Homicide Detective Alexandra Danvers and her partner Detective Xavier Knight are determined to bring Arthur Book, a known child murderer to justice. However, Xavier is actually a police corruption specialist who is undercover as Lexi’s partner, but is really evaluating her fitness for duty. As the investigation into the child killer continues Xavier is worried that if he concentrates on his actual mission, then it could have serious consequences for the murder case, allowing Book to walk free. Things become more complicated for the pair as the more time they spend together on their covert investigation into Book’s, they can no longer ignore their growing feelings for one another. The pair become in danger of not only loosing their careers but also their lives as the case continues. The storyline flows well and I felt immersed in the investigation due to the descriptive narrative. I was kept hooked by the plot twists and stayed up late to finish the book as it was hard to put down. This was an enjoyable read which I would recommend.

A lovely, sweet Christmas romance which was an enjoyable and engaging read. This wonderfully written novella is a standalone story, although part of a series, all of which I’ve enjoyed. In this story, Amber Tatum the real life Grinch of Cold Creek meets Christmas loving single Dad Giovanni Sentieri. With a little bit of Christmas magic, hopefully they get their HEA. Bar owner Amber’s hatred of Christmas stems from bad memories from her childhood, and so she now doesn’t join in with all the small towns annual traditions. Amber also craves a family of her own and when she meets Italian chef Giovanni she starts to think her dreams might come true. Gio is ready to make a home for himself and his daughter, and has taken over his grandmother’s Italian Café in Cold Creek. Struggling to balance being a single father and work as well as getting over a devastating divorce Gio was not looking for a new relationship, but when he meets Amber he can not deny their connection. Gio is determined to make Amber love Christmas as much as he does and so invites her to spend the holiday with him and his family. Amber has to choose to either take a chance at love and a family or stay as she is, as the self proclaimed Grinch of Cold Creek. This is a contemporary Christmas romance, and I loved Gio and Amber and was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA. The instant attraction and chemistry between the couple came across in the story and led to some steamy scenes. The wonderfully Christmas setting of Cold Creek was brought to life by the descriptive narrative and I felt immersed in small town living. This heartwarming novella really put me in a festive mood.

A wonderfully told story set along the shores of modern day Massachusetts and in Southern Italy’s, Old Country, both of which really came alive through the authors detailed and descriptive narrative. I could feel the Italian sun and the fresh salt air in Massachusetts. The storyline has it all, history, hereditary witchcraft, wonderful characters, amazing settings and, “Reincarnation, Family, Love, Hope, Suffering and Joy”, and of course magical liquor! All of which had me spellbound from page one. Angela Scotti (Annie), a third-year medical student has dreams of becoming a healer, but due to past tragedies her destiny or ‘Destino’ has other plans for her. Annie is also having difficulties whilst working at the hospital as her mentor has become an enemy, and then there is her successful lawyer fiancé who is giving her no support. Especially in regard to the urgent whispers she has started to hear at night. The dual timeline aspect works well and reads flawlessly in this novel, from Italy in 1617 and 1899 and the stories of Annie’s predecessors, to modern day Massachusetts. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this engaging novel, and felt as though I was there with Annie as she faces her past. The historical details made me feel immersed in the eras and the author has obviously done her research thoroughly. An enjoyable read which flowed well and kept me captivated from start to finish.

I have been waiting impatiently for this latest novel in the ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series having been left with a real cliffhanger at the end of Part One, well I was definitely not disappointed with this second part of Red’s story. Part Two carried on seamlessly from the ending of the previous book so I would recommend reading them in order. This is the Prez of the ‘Vegas Chapter’, Red’s story along with Cher, the women who got away, and Zeke, his fifteen year old child, which he knew nothing about. Not only does Red want a relationship with Zeke but he also wants one with Cher, as he has never forgotten her and no other women has been her equal. Cher has also compared all men to Red and never stopped wondering what would have happened if she had not left him all those years ago. However, finding out that the young man she knew is now the Prez of the ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ has her wondering if she really knew him at all. Whilst getting to know Zeke and spending time with Cher, Red also has the demands of the Club to deal with.
Red wants both his MC family and his other family, but Cher is not convinced that she is ‘old lady’ material. Red also has to come to terms with the fact that Zeke recognises as being non-binary, and some of his MC are not happy. This is another fantastic MC novel by the author and as usual it is wonderfully written and the descriptive narrative brings the characters and the setting to life, making me feel immersed in the ‘Satan’s Devils’ world. I loved Red, Cher and Zeke and enjoyed seeing their relationships develop throughout this story. The storyline is fast paced and full of drama, suspense and romance with plenty of plot twists which had me hooked from start to finish. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this novel and was impressed how the author has included the issues surrounding individuals who are non-binary, and thought this was dealt with sensitively. This was an exciting, enjoyable and engaging read, and having read this in almost one sitting, as I literally could not put it down, I will now have to eagerly wait for the next book in the series!

This is an enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance, with a marriage of convenience theme. Caspian Archer lives a life full of luxuries but suddenly his life could change for the worse, if he doesn’t fulfil his uncle’s dying wish in order to secure his inheritance. Caspian must find true love and stay married for a year, and so he starts to look for a women who will agree to a marriage of convenience. Paisley Fischer has no money, has been evicted and will soon be paying for her mothers medical care, as her insurance benefits are running out. When childhood friend Caspian gives her an unconditional offer, to cover her mother’s care, provide a Manhattan penthouse and give her one million dollars, Paisley can’t refuse. All she has to do is pretend to be happily married to Caspian for a year and not get emotionally involved. I loved Paisley and Caspian’s story and really felt for Paisley in her situation. Although their romance is a slow burn, the couple’s chemistry did come across in the story, and I liked how how their relationship developed over the year. I was kept happily turning the pages by the plot twists and found this to be an easy and enjoyable read.

An intriguing and engaging murder mystery thriller, and once again the author had me gripped from page one. I enjoyed being back with Stenographer Lauren Besoner, and in this story she goes from reporting the words in a murder trial to trying to prove that the man on trial is actually innocent. Lauren is reporting on the biggest murder trial that Crawford has ever seen and the judge also happens to be her cheating ex husband, Tony. Lauren’s instincts are that the wrong person is on trial for the murder, and she soon has to decide whether to put her job and her life at risk to ensure that justice is served, or carry on and say nothing. Lauren decides to discover the real murderer and when a second murder occurs she realises that there is more to the case than even she thought. As she searches for the truth secrets from her own past are exposed, but she’s determined to find the real killer. This legal thriller had me fully immersed, as the courtroom setting and all its drama was brought vividly to life by the authors knowledgeable and descriptive narrative. Lauren is once again a realistic and likeable main character who brings the story together. The exciting storyline and plot twists kept me guessing until the end as to the identity of the killer. This was a real page turner of a read and I really hope there will be a third book in this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery, crime thriller which had me hooked from page one. Court stenographer Lauren Besoner has returned home to Wyoming hoping to put her broken marriage behind her. Lauren’s newfound stable life comes crashing down around her when she arrives to pick up Judge Murphy for work, only to discover her murdered in her own home. After calling the police and answering routine questions Lauren realises that she has become their prime suspect. Her case is not helped by the fact that there seems to be a link between the dead judge and Lauren’s cheating ex husband. Lauren is determined to prove that she is innocent even if it means solving the case herself. In trying to track down the killer, Lauren puts herself at risk of becoming their next victim. I was gripped by this fast paced novel, the murder, crime storyline was full of suspense and the plot kept me guessing until the end. I loved Lauren as a main character and felt she brought the story together. The characters and setting were brought to life by the authors descriptive narrative, and you could tell that the author has a background in the legal profession by the small details she’s added which made the story have a very real feel to it. I felt immersed in the story and was happily turning the pages late at night to discover the killer’s identity. A great first book in a new series, and I look forward to book two.

A lightheaded and sweet festive romantic novella which was a quick, enjoyable and engaging read. Thea Sheldon is the owner of ‘Sweet Confections’, sadly she has not had the best of luck with men over the years. Mainly because she’s looking for someone who is like they are portrayed in the movies. Then handsome, smooth talking Benjamin Sweet enters her bakery looking for a Thanksgiving present, and he might just be who Thea has been waiting for. Although Thea and Ben were not looking for love, love seems to have found them but can they turn a casual encounter and instant attraction into something more meaning and long term. This fairly short read had me happily turning the pages and I was fully immersed in the storyline and engaged with the likeable characters. I loved Thea and Ben and their chemistry came across in the writing, and I was cheering them on and hoping they would get their HEA. A real festive read which has made me feel ready for Christmas.

I thoroughly loved this second chance at love story and I enjoyed being back in the small town setting of Parker. Breckin Henderson and her football coach husband returned to her hometown of Parker, Oklahoma, only for him to leave her for the head cheerleader. Instead of running, Breckin remains in Parker and decides to build a new life for herself. Griff is a local who returned with a broken heart following the death of his girlfriend in a motorcycle accident. Griff now works as a bartender at the bar his grandfather owned and provides a listening ear for the locals. He also takes care of his elderly grandmother and takes her food shopping each week. Both Breckin and Griff have had their hearts broken once before and have insecurities, fears and trust issues but as their attraction grows and they get closer, they discover that they might be able to fall in love again.
Once again the setting is brought to life by the authors descriptive narrative and I felt fully immersed in small town life, and the gossip it brings. The characters are likeable and relatable and the chemistry between Breckin and Griff sizzled off the page. I liked catching up with characters from the previous book, although this can be read as a standalone story. This is an enjoyable and engaging read with plenty of drama, romance and some laugh out loud moments, mainly curtesy of Breckin’s grandmother. A wonderfully written and detailed story which kept me hooked, and happily turning the pages, I was hoping that Breckin and Griff would get their HEA. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

An enjoyable and engaging romantic suspense novel with plenty of drama and intrigue which had me hooked from start to finish. Cattle rancher and father of three Brant Bellamy is determined to find a drifter who worked on the Bellamy Ranch, following his mother’s suspicious death. Someone also seems to to want Brant scared or dead. Meanwhile, bartender Aubrey Chartrand’s plans involve riding her new Harley-Davidson out of Angel Beach, Oregon, following years of taking care of her elderly aunt. Both Brant and Aubrey’s plans change when they meet each other and are instantly drawn to one another. When Aubrey also seems to be targeted by a stalker the couple work together to work out who it is and what they want, and whether the murderer has returned to finish what he started. This was a fast paced and exciting read with great characters who were likeable and relatable. The chemistry between Aubrey and Brant came across in the writing and the storyline had me gripped from page one. I read it as a standalone story, however some of the characters had obviously been introduced in previous books, and I am now keen to read the rest of the series.

This was a fun, enjoyable and engaging Christmas romance which really gave me the festive feeling. Olivia decides to go on a cruise to avoid spending Christmas with her twin sister and fiancé, who happens to be Olivia’s ex boyfriend. Olivia is a chemist and budding romance writer and whilst on the cruise she meets her fictional hero character in real life. Jace, a former Navy SEAL Commander is keen to meet Olivia when he discovers he’s her fantasy hero. Olivia is a bit skeptical, but with the help of the other passengers, especially Mrs. Claus and her Christmas cookies and a lot of Christmas magic, hopefully the couple will explore the connection between them. I loved Olivia and Jace and their chemistry really sizzled off the page. The mix of cruise passengers added to the over all feel of life on board and they all brought something to the story. The storyline had me hooked from start to finish and the setting was brought to life by the descriptive narrative. This was a lovely festive romance and it left me feeling in the Christmas spirit.

This was an enjoyable and engaging paranormal romance featuring mountain lion shifters. The lion shifters each have a fated mate who is the other half of their souls and they find each other when they least expect it. For Cheyenne and Lane it happens when Cheyenne feels the mating call which draws her home to Long Claw. Meanwhile, Lane also feels the call and heads to Long Claw determined to prove himself to his mate. However, Lane finds that Cheyenne has reservations due to her past that may affect their future together. I loved the characters in this story, and felt immersed within the ‘Long Claw Pride’. The small mountain town setting was really brought to life by the descriptive narrative and the storyline flowed well. The chemistry between Cheyenne and Lane came across and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA. I look forward to future books in this new series by Brooke May.
